denix has a theory that because milo didn't exist in leo's world that ak!pac didn't have that piece of hope he needed to hold himself together and pull himself through, we saw him so many times worrying about milo and talking to him when he was down, contrast that with leo, who had only his first love who then betrayed him along with everybody else who promised to vote for him. he was alone with nobody to care for but himself.

Bagi sat with her legs crossed and body facing the forest edge, eyes focused on the unmoving weapon in one hand and broken branch in the other, only closing to blink and ready to snap up at any movement ahead from any mobs, or worse yet, members not of her own team.

A small pile of already widdled and sharpened at the tip sticks in direct reach to her left, shavings from the branches to shape them into weapons of their own kind in her lap, the sky beginning to fade from a sickly sort of yellow and on the cusp of cobalt as the day came to a close, the silver of the full moon peeking over the horizon.

"Oh! I know. I wanna go on that date with you. Oh, wait, um! Moon, please keep our secrets!"

She remembered how Tina pulled the ends of her sweater over her hands to make them look like paws, hiding the bottom half of her face in the fabric.

"I wanna go on that date with you too, Tina! Moon, please keep our secrets. Actually, no, the moon doesn't need to keep it secret! I want everyone to know! Tina, I want to go on a date with you!"

The memory tasted like strawberries.

Bagi thought about the rest of her team inside the small base, likely rotating and sleeping in shifts, exhausted from the earlier happenings but unwilling to keep their eyes closed for long periods.

She remembered Cellbit saying earlier, his voice and Baghera's giggle echoing though the cave as she tried to hide, her grip tightening around the handle of the knife.

She thought back to before they were all let loose for this competition the first time, Tina was on the other side of the glass and holding her hand out for no use besides the idea of comfort, a thick blue ribbon already manifested and tied around her bicep.

"Oh Tina, don't make me cry, we'll see each other when we get out! Tina, please take care, I know you're going to be fine, but take care of yourself."

Bagi had her own green ribbon tied and holding her hair in a ponytail, hand also uselessly reaching out for the American girl.

"Bagi, it's going to be okay."

The buzzer from somewhere none of them could see sounded their oncoming separation.

"Tina, we need to go. We have to go now. I'll see you, take care of yourself okay, yes?"

Voices from three different sections of the marble room continued to overlap as they each ran to their teams respective doorways.

"I love you!"

The sky didn't have any ounce of radioactive color left, only the light navy blue, the white moonlight higher than it was before the thoughts she didn't realize she was diving into apparently consumed her, she picked up the collection of sharpened branches for them all to use, too dark to do much else at the moment.

She didn't care if he team won, she didn't care if they left this place hopefully for good this time after they woke, she was only ready to take the most beautiful girl in the world on a second date when they returned.
