Not to be too demanding, but will the drabbles include the poly romances? Because I do imagine it would change a lot of how the characters feel. But don't feel pressured to do it. It's completely fine if you don't.

Although it makes me wonder how you are planning the polys to go. Are we going to confess first to one of the characters? Or to the two characters at once? And are the polys a true triad, or a V poly?

Anyway. In truth I'm just asking because, selfishly, I want more Jay. But I do think both Jay and Ravi would have a different mind space if they got to wake up next to each other and MC.

That said, I understand if you don't write the poly drabbles. Since it would mean either going back and forth between POVs, or writing 2 different drabbles of the same moment. And that's a lot of work for something like this.

Of course, if you want to do it, I think all of us readers will love it. Just, if you do write these, please take care of yourself and don't overwork, okay? Straining yourself is not a good thing.

To start out, I don't think you're being demanding at all! It's a good question. To be honest, I'd really like to do drabbles for the polyships. I'm very fond of them, and I think it'd be a fun chance to explore them early on.

Especially because so far, these drabbles have all been tastes of how the relationship between MC and the RO is going to go. In a way they sort of...hint at the general vibe. And I'd like to be able to do that for the polyships, as well!

That being said, I'm hitting the same roadblocks you've mentioned here in the ask. I'm not sure how I'd handle the POVs, because switching between two POVs would feel like a lot for such short drabbles, and writing out the same drabble twice from different POVs would also be a Feat. And I'm not sure if people would enjoy them from just one POV, either...

Especially considering that, like you're saying, each half of the polyship would have totally different thoughts and vibes. And they'd have a lot to think about one another as well as MC.

Lots of words to say that it's something I'm considering, as I really would like to write them, but I have to figure out how to go about it first.

As for the polyships themselves--all three (can be) closed triads! Beck/MC/Perri and Jay/MC/Ravi are always closed triads, while Jay/MC/Yasmin can be a closed triad or a V, with MC dating Jay and staying FWBs with Yasmin.

The MC will always be the driving force in the polyships. My personal philosophy with these ships is that they're between characters that could conceptually get together on their own, but without MC's involvement, they never would. The MC is, in a way, the thing that brings them together--and the glue that makes the relationship work.

As for confessions, it's something I'll have to figure out as I'm writing it! Especially because it'll be different based on the particular polyship. A very loose estimate, though:

Beck and Perri are kind of a package deal in regards to their polyship. The MC will have chances to develop their attraction to both separately, but I really see them being the two you'd most likely confess to in one combined conversation. But it still depends on where the writing takes me!

Jay and Ravi are...complicated. Their relationship has ups and downs throughout the story, and adding a combined attraction to MC into the mix won't make anything easier. If I had to guess, I'd wager that MC will end up talking to them separately before they talk to them together.

And Jay and Yasmin especially are a unique case, since you can build MC's attraction and relationship with Jay while being FWBs with Yasmin! It's the one combination where, instead of having a 'choose one or the other' scene with your RO if you're FWBs with Yas, Jay will instead be like 'I'm polyam and not against this, but we Need To Talk About It'. And then, if you choose for Yasmin to develop ~feelings~, then the triad ship can develop!

Once again, just kind of general overviews on my thoughts going into things! Also, I can't blame you for wanting more Jay, haha. Me, too, tbh. They're a treat to write.

The Hanged Man: How did Rook’s love interest respond to them being trapped in the Fade? If they were unaware (sacrificed or blighted), what was it like for Rook having to confront that in the Fade?

The short answer is very poorly. Drawing from what Lucanis says about romanced Neve being taken ("False hope could kill me"), I don't think he would allow himself to even hope that Rook is alive, or that the group will find her. He wouldn't protest against looking for her, and would try to assist where he could, but he would resign himself to thinking they would fail. "Rook is not coming back, and you are now living in the world where you lost her forever."

Hey Seren!! thanks for the ask <33!! Answering these for Shivani 🦋

🥀 How does your character deal with stressful situations? Is their fear response fight, flight, freeze or fawn?

She does not handle confrontations well at all, esp if it involves someone acting more aggressive / yelling at her. Her fear response tends to first cause her to freeze on the spot, depending on the situation - trying to hold back tears. But she is very much a people pleaser at heart, something that shes starting to work on slowly. Just does not want to disappoint anyone.

🍒 Does your character have a best friend? How long have they known each other? What do they like most about each other? How did they meet?

She would consider Verda as her closest best friend. They both share an interest in science and experiments. She appericates another like minded individual. Both met when she volunteered during a night shift at the lab, it was a rather awkward start - since both were more on a quiet side at first. But as soon as the science talk started - there was no going back haha. Hence during book 3, she was rather distaught over Verda keeping away, giving her the cold shoulder with the reveal. Shivani was never one to make friends easily. Tended to keep to herself during high school and in college, her friends were really just Bobby's friends. However with the reveal, Shivani was still understanding - she was also rather terrified of the supernatural and all she wanted was to help another like her.

🧣 What comforts your oc? Is it an item? An action? A person? Whatever it is, how any why does it comfort them?

Bugs. She always had an interest in the small creatures, she loves to learn all about them. She is a rather anxious person and she is the most relaxed when she is amongst the insects & butterflies because they have no worries. They have their own small purpose in the ecosystem, even if she feels they are underappericated amongst others. She simply loves how free they are, they simply just are.

In the Vampire!AU, she finds comfort with bugs when feeling overwhelmed, stressed etc because being amongst the creatures is the only way she can feel close with her father (or more so one of them). And the thing that helped her deal with the whole becoming a vampire thing, was having a new apperication for Mosquitos. She finds similarity with herself and the insect, she doesnt speak bad of the insect - so why can't she do the same for herself?

i still haven't come to a firm conclusion about what to do at the very end of conversion, specifically, what happens post-climax but before the final chapter. i've written two versions and it's a little too threadbare! i've been trying to brainstorm ways it could go, but i'm just not sure yet and it's definitely been the hardest part.

🌬 Wind - What was the easiest part of your WIP to write?

any time i got to write rose and josephine together! i had an easy time writing the dynamics of the main cast, but they were by far the easiest -- they are basically queerplatonic life-partners and i had an absolute blast writing them together. it was also the part of writing that energized me the most and kept me most motivated to keep writing; any time i got to a section that delved really deeply into their friendship, it was like a second wind!

Hi there! I just wanted to pop in and say your tourettes!sans are really sweet and cute. I don't have tourettes, but I have Longed QT. It's a heart rhythm disorder, where if my heart beats too fast it'll get out of rhythm and stop. I'm not supposed to go swimming, ride roller coasters or drink energy drinks. Seeing your cute comfort characters makes me want to try and make one for myself, but Classic already has 1 HP, so I feel like I relate to that a little bit. :)

i'd encourage u to do it! making a sans with my disorder has been great. i think anyone should if they feel like it. even if there's already one out there of the specific disorder, or canon is already close, i think it's great to make ur own interpretation. (specially since a disorder can often be different for each person who has it.)

ADHD Sans and Anxiety Sans are the ones that inspired me. 'n i think Classic, at least in my headcanon, already has ADHD. mby just milder, or a different type (more ADD). he definitely struggles with executive dysfunction (sadly played off as him just being lazy :'>)

I have failed to mention in a post as of yet that this AU doesn’t take place in the Pizzaplex—the setting is a smallish arcade/playplace much more akin to the original FNaF location. In the 2000s. Moon n Sun own and run the joint.

he’s always found comfort in your voice, even when you were just chattering. But now it’s different, the first time a soft melody escaped your lips, let me tell you, he was hooked ever since then.

He found comfort in your soft hum’s, it was such a calming thing, it was a big difference from the hustle and bustle of the over populated hell. A good one at that, it was an escape for him ♥(⸝⸝´꒳`⸝⸝)♥

He’ll always go silent when you’re humming, and you’ll never notice it!. He’ll listen to the soft hum with full attention. Of course he’ll always be careful so you don’t catch on!

he doesn't understand why, but he love’s being discreet when listening to you. Maybe it’s the wya you feel relaxed or let the notes flow more freely from you mouth. He’s not quite sure but he just knows he dose it quite often!

sooner or later though he’ll make it be known that he’s been listening to you. Most likely in a teasing way! Loves seeing you get flustered.

soon he may even join you in your little hums if he knows the melody of the song your humming! It’s always such a love filled moment. Although he maybe, a bit cocky and standoffish here on there he’s always so tender in moments like these. You get to see his soft side in rare and soft moments like these.

Although that doesn’t mean the teasing would stop! He loves teasingly calling you his singing bird, or his Canary. But he also means it in adoring way as well!

Your little songs and voice get stuck in his Tv head constantly, it’s always on loop. He doesn’t Hate it, not at all! But sometimes when you are apart it dose make him miss you.

Whenever he’s about to have a melt down/ lose his absolute shit (Aka he fought alastor once again ( ｰ`дｰ´ ) ) he’ll let his mind put your hums on loop its very much a coping method!, I would say it helps him a good chunk of the time but you might already know the shortness of his temper at times.

if you guys are possible in his living space and in private. he’s all over you, his love for you is watered down in public, but I’m privacy he’s be asking you too hum for him so he could relax! He’d love just to lay down for awhile and only hear you. Just you, no screaming and cussing from the other Two V’s, and no interruptions. As much as he loves building his power and fame, sometimes he needs this to recollect and can get back to working on whatever he was doing with a much more eased mind.(´∀｀)♡

Now! As for dancing and such, he loves watching you glide across the floor with such ease. Whatever dancing or way you move he’ll always find some elegance in it. And as much as he’s into new interventions, and the new “day and age”, he does love to indulge in this old slow dance’s. Look! Hear me out! He’s not old timey, more like appreciates the closeness, and how nice it is to just hold you and slowly dance around the living room, or his office once everyone is out of course!

even if you think no one’s watching he probably is, and as much as he loves to have a certain image of himself to show to the public at all times. He can’t help but put it away when he’s just focusing on you when you guys are alone. He’ll stare at you for how ever long just doting on you in his mind.

sometimes he spaces out cause all he can think of is just you, only you, and trust me the teasing he reserves form Val and Vel is outta this world.

they will never let him live down the time he buffered and glitched because his systems and inner fans were over heating just thinking about you.

if he is every away for business purposes, when he’s sure he’s completely alone, he’ll pull up his phone and dial you up so you can calm him down with your voice. This will NEVER be admitted form him, cause only the lord knows how Val and Vel would absolutely use this against him in a teasingly bullying way. Yea he’ll do everything just so they could shut up. (˶‾᷄ ⁻̫ ‾᷅˵)💧

I feel as though even if he’s proud to be with someone with such an amazing voice like you he’d hate to share it. He loves stomping and showing off to other people, but something like this he just wants to himself, he knows it’s selfish, But this is Vox were talking about, he wouldn’t care.

late nights always end up with him or you on one of each others chest as you hum him to sleep. He finds it comforting to have you near and to know you’re next to him!.

and here and there he’d let you sit on his lap or just next to him as he works. You don’t have to hum, but if you do lord knows it helps the man so much he just doesn’t understand, sometimes he thinks it’s genuinely some type of magic because of the way you make him feel so easily calm.

and yes he dose have a recording of your singing but you won’t see it reach the light of hell cause he keeps it for his own use. A bit creepy? Yes!, but somewhat endearing! Hehe..(｡•́‿•̀｡)💧

his love for you is very much unmatched, and as ironic as it is you always seem to make him lose his breath around you. He doesn’t see you as a weakness but in the same vain is terrified at the possibility of losing you, his only comfort. Sometimes he stresses himself out so bad at the thought of people using you against him or you leaving him, he has problems and most of those he’s not willing to admit he has. Even if you’re powerful, and can take care of yourself he still always finds a way to worry sometimes and at times like that you just have to remind him you’re there. Verbally or physically, but you can take a guess at the best way to sooth him

if your comfortable with it!, he’d wouldn’t even put music on when dancing just the two of you humming.

even if your not he still find you graceful call it heart shaped glasses but he’ll always find a way to complement you on the littlest of things.

he could be at a business deal with the nest biggest singer in hell and still he wouldn’t think they could top you in billions of years.

Again revisiting my point where I said he wouldn’t want to share your voice, he most definitely would snap if anyone just barged in his office (cough, Val cough, Velevet, cough!, sorry must be sick or something! ( ๑‾̀ ◡ ‾́)..) He’d kick them out immediately if it wasn’t something of importance (or what he seems to be important)

velvet always teases him by saying he’s up in the clouds ever since he’s met you which… yea you cant defend him there…

Overall! please just hum softly with him and dance with this man! It’s his favorite bonding time. He’d give up everything to hear your voice for the rest of eternity. He doesn’t always show it cause of his status but trust me when I say he’s always and constantly thinking and loving you. Under the cut for length because I couldn't keep it short when talking about my pookies post-canon.

The Emperor: What is the foundation of Rook’s relationship? What is the bond that holds them and their partner together?

Undying devotion etc. "You were the person who saw me for who I truly am, and you still chose to stay." That's worth everything to both of them.

The World: Thedas is saved, but changed. Where do Rook and their love interest go from here? Is marriage on the table? Children? What milestones do they have to look forward to?

So, ahem.... Has everyone heard of the word "divorce"...

I do not envision a happy ending from them, maybe in part because I'm set on not seeing it (#1 tragedy fan reporting for duty <3). And in part because I see both Lucanis and Ghilasara as people that won't allow themselves to be happy long-term - the positions of First Talon and First Warden respectively will continuously drag them down and away from each other, but neither will be ready to quit first. They are sort of stuck in a vicious cycle where they have to watch each other waste away doing jobs they hate, but every attempt at a conversation about this will end with the other partner asking, "Okay, so you think I should step down, but you won't?" And they are stuck at that standstill the entire time.

Also, despite frequently using the word "divorce" I don't actually headcanon that they ever married in the entire time they were in some variations of together. Ghilasara doesn't want to, because she knows that marriage won't drastically change their course, and it won't make them love each other any more than they already do (because the latter simply isn't possible - don't forget, love was there despite everything, and it was immense, even if it didn't change things).

I once entertained the idea of them having a kid, but it's in the boxes of ideas that are simply too sad for me to make them actual canon.

1 - What is your favourite thing about writing?

the catharsis! i started writing as a kid to help me untangle and sort out all those big, complicated feelings you can’t even name, let alone recognize, at that age. i’ve always felt like writing was an exorcism for me and, especially with poetry, i get to control everything about the narrative and image in a way that gives me ownership over the difficult stuff in life. less myopically, i also love the way it helps me communicate unlanguagable things — i struggle to connect with people, but writing has always given me a way to do that.

2 - Do you have a favorite character, and if so, who and why?

from my own writing, my favorite character is probably one i haven’t written about in a long time — in fact, she was in the first story i wrote for a college course, which was over a decade ago. i think of her so fondly because she was a mixture of a self-insert and an amalgamation of all the women i knew and wanted to be, and i felt like she was a real, living person because of that. i’ve really carried her with me all this time and used elements of her in almost every woman i’ve written since to try to infuse that life into the ones i’ve created since.

16 - Have you ever had OCs create themselves as you write your WIP?

oh, definitely — i think the majority of them have for me, with the exception of the character from my last answer who really just jumped into my brain fully formed. i do a lot of negotiation throughout my writing process where i do some writing, then work on character, then go back and write some more, maybe sketch out a setting, etc. it’s probably why i struggle to finish longer WIPs — by the time the first draft is done, i’ve really only just begun to fully understand some of the characters, which makes revision a daunting task.

5. Did your Tav have any formal or informal employment? If yes, what was their job? If no, how did they make ends meet? How did they feel about it?

Many years ago, she tried to cut it as an official healer, a bit like Halsin, how everyone nearby knew he was the one to go to. It sort of worked out for a while, but in the end she decided she wasn't comfortable being a pillar of any community.

7. What circumstances led to your Tav becoming their Class/Subclass?

Idrevka has an innate ability to heal, and because she didn't want people asking her how that came to be, she decided to pretend to be a cleric so that she could write off her abilities as divine. A Leiran priestess thought it was hilarious and actually taught her a few spells so that she could 'really sell it'. So she actually did end up a trickery domain cleric, she just pretends that she's life domain to keep people from asking questions.

12. What opinion does your Tav have about the Gods?

Pre-Tadpole, Idrevka tries to be polite and respectful to all of them. She loves Leira, Mother of All Illusion and Guardian of Deception. The rest she's ambivalently indifferent towards. After her adventures with the tadpoles, she thinks that Shar and the Dead Three can fuck right off. She loves Jergal almost as much as Leira, though. After all, no matter what Withers might say, she's convinced that Jergal sent him to help them u_u and she loves Withers.

24. What first impression does your Tav give off to strangers?

Most people think that she is pretty friendly and helpful and don't know her long enough to find out she'll lie as easily as she breathes. She's quick to label people friends and they usually have a hard time finding reasons not to be.
