The first character I first fell in love with: Juliannnnn <3 he had an unfair advantage, showing up in TNG and having very good interactions with Data, I knew IMMEDIATELY upon seeing him that if I ever started DS9 he would be exactly my type. I am nothing if not incredibly predictable

The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: I'd have to say Odo! I knew I'd like him from the moment I met him, but he honestly compels me so much more than I thought he would. when they established in the first few episodes that he's the 'only one of his kind' type of character, I expected him to be similar to Spock and Data, so his intensity caught me off guard. and honestly, I love it. and, again, he's just so goddamn compelling. searching for his species, a sense of belonging, his history with Kira and with the Cardassians... I eat it up

also its just. very funny that a guy who looks so deliberately bland speaks like he's constantly on the verge of snapping and killing everyone around him

The character everyone else loves that I don’t: I honestly cant think of a character I dont really enjoy! I also dont know if ive met the entire cast, im just starting the third season literally as I type this, so for all I know new characters could come in that I won't care about. the only addition to the cast in the future that I know of is Worf and I know I love him <3

The character I love that everyone else hates: I dont really interact with any fan content of DS9, and ive never been into the tags, so ive seen very little of what people think about the main cast. I dont know if there's anybody who's generally hated, so hard to answer

in terms of characters who ive never seen any fan content for but who I love, that would be Jake! no idea what fandom opinion of him is, but fandoms tend to not enjoy child characters/pass over them, so I'll say him. I love him a lot, he compels me, him and Sisko are so sweet I love their bond. Jake's determination to be friends with Nog is also very sweet

The character I used to love but don’t any longer: so far I still love everyone!

The character I would totally smooch: Kira Nerys I am free Saturday night if you are also free I would love to take you to a romantic dinner on Saturday night when I am free

The character I’d want to be like: so far I'd say Julian. his commitment to his patients is admirable, I really loved The Wire for showing the lengths he's willing to go to to help somebody. I would also love to be that charming and slutty tbh

A pairing that I love: Kira/myself Miles/Keiko they're so cute and in love and I love that the show takes time to show that!! theyre married and they have a daughter and they take vacations together and make out and flirt and have a sex life they feel so REAL. I love them sm

A pairing that I despise: I dont think I have one I despise tbh. like, of course any ship involving any adult with any of the kids, but besides that the potential pairings I can see are mostly fine!

Odd question, but did Tim ever think that he should try and keep the timeline on its original path, before realizing it was almost impossible in DSB?

Like, did he have like a split second where his instincts went, "I have to make sure nothing changes" before realizing it was just impossible, because he would have to take the same steps, say the same things, and he couldn't remember every little detail.

So he just decided to try and give the Bats the happiest life he could, because he couldn't follow through with his old life.

There’s a little orange cat in the corner of the town square. Max bends to say hello, stretching his fingers for it to sniff at. The cat rubs its warm head against his palm, making a small mewing sound, and Max looks up to see Daniel standing there with his hand out.

“Come on,” he says. “I found us a great spot.”

Max helps him push the boat out from the shore, the two of them laughing as they get it going and scramble to jump in. Daniel rows them out to the middle of the lake and they float there, watching the sun set over the castle.

Max had only seen castles like that in books before; he spent half the afternoon leading Daniel all around the wall of it, pointing out the turrets and the watchtowers and the crenellations, exclaiming over the stone lions, pretending to roar beside them.

“That mane of yours,” Daniel had said, shaking his head.

The sun has set, the sky heavy purple with twilight. 

“Any minute now,” Daniel says, eyebrows lifting, and something inside Max is fluttering with anticipation.

As they watch, a single lantern floats up from the castle. Max holds his breath, and after a moment others rise to join it, like a flurry of leaves lifted by the wind.

Soon every part of the sky seems to be filled with lanterns, every way Max cranes to look.

“When I was little I always thought these were for me,” he tells Daniel, his head tipped right back.

“Bit conceited,” Daniel says, and when Max turns to grin at him he’s pulling a lantern out from under the seat. “Happy birthday, Max,” he says.

Daniel can’t get the flint to strike, a shake in his hand, so Max helps him, and they light it together, release it into the sky.

Max can’t believe it. When he was in the tower he could never have imagined this, the smooth stretch of the lake, their small bright light lifting with all the others. But the tower seems so far away, his father – he doesn’t want to think about that now.

Max thinks about what he’s feeling: about the shape of Daniel curled up sleeping on the other side of the campfire, the way he looked when Max’s hair started to glow underwater, his face. How his voice cracks when he sings; how he’s the only person to ever show Max anything under the sky.

“Daniel,” Max says, and moves, lurching forward so quickly that he almost capsizes the boat.

“Steady!”

Daniel throws his arms out to balance them, water lapping roughly up their sides then gentling. “There we go,” he says. “Stable as a table.”

Max is on his knees on the wooden slats of the boat. His cheeks are hot.

“Thank you for showing me this,” he says.

Daniel’s shoulder lifts, a small movement. “You’re welcome.” Daniel’s face always makes so many expressions, but now he’s just looking at Max, eyes warm and dark.

“Daniel,” Max says again. He leans in – slowly, this time – and Daniel’s leaning too, the boat perfectly balanced on the water, a thousand soft lights perfect in the sky around them, Daniel’s mouth fitting against his, Daniel’s hands in the weight of his hair, Max’s heart shining like a lantern.

I’m actually starting to get set locations in-Wilshire Boulevard [Where Dog Man lives], The Golden Triangle [Where Petey’s family lives], The Buckley School [Lil Petey’s school], The Ivy [Maude’s dream workplace], etc! It helps that so far-the locations are near to eachother, making the story go faster :]

I think I’ve noted it once or twice but I’m still very excited when making Investigators and Dog Man in the same universe in Luxury. Once I am on rewriting Dog Man-I will definitely point hints that they’re tied! Wether it be places or characters-probably some will know eachother lol X]

Will I ever do my Beetlejuice makeup the same twice? Probably not... 😅 Gonna aim for somewhere between 2nd and 3rd pic next time, I think. 4th was just lighter bc I had less time, it's only a day after the previous so pretty close otherwise.

I've styled the same wig three times now, but I think I'm finally happy with it! Will just need some maintenance (last photo is day 2 of wearing it, starting to droop but not too bad!)

yet another sickfic (ft Henry)

so this one was originally going to be for the fic olympics but I did not finish it on time, and what I had I didnt want to submit late because I realized I didnt like it. at all

so this one was gonna be written for "secrets" day and the basic premise was Hawkeye gets sick, hides it and keeps trucking on, and this goes about as well as you would expect. it was from Henry's POV and is still in my notes pretty much fully written, but it will be re-written because I know now how to make it flow better

basic premise is still the same! but its gonna be from Hawkeye's POV, and will be set fairly early on, like s1, and not long after Hawkeye is made Chief Surgeon. reason for that is cause I was really wrestling with why Hawkeye wouldnt tell anyone he's sick, he's not exactly adverse to telling people when he feels like shit. I settled on sometime after Chief Surgeon Who? because that's the point where I think it becomes Real how everyone really depends on Hawkeye/looks up to him, so I figured if you throw a little two-day OR rush in around that time and give him the flu then it might just be believable

of course Henry's still involved cause the real point of this is Henry taking care of Hawkeye a bit and them having a lil moment. the way Henry looks at Hawkeye after they sedate him in Dr Pierce and Mr Hyde lives rent free in my head at all times I think Henry should've gotten to mother hen him a bit it would've been good for my health

literally this ask is better than anything i could write but here:

Daniel’s on his back in the flatbed taking pictures of the stars. He never wears his gloves when he has his camera out, but Max doesn’t mind like he should, because it’s him that’ll get to warm Daniel’s icy fingers later, when Daniel works them under his jacket, beneath his waistband.

He always asks Max which pictures he likes; his walls are covered with prints now. There are pictures of Max, too: even the boring ones make Max feel special, when Daniel sees him working or playing with his nephews or stirring something on the stove. The other kind, Max in bed or other places — sometimes he sits between Daniel’s legs while Daniel shows him, what he looks like, how much he wants it.

“Okay, I’m done,” Daniel says. “C’mere.”

Max lies down beside him and scooches close, Daniel’s cold finger pressing at his lip until Max pretends to bite it, so that Daniel’s laughing when they kiss. Max still has his gloves on, cups his hands over Daniel’s ears. Daniel’s fingers slip right past Max’s layers like he knew they would, skating across his belly, making him shiver. He wants to do this always.

“D’you wanna take the bikes out tomorrow?”

The shine in Daniel’s eyes is even better than the stars. The tip of his nose is pink, so Max kisses him there too.

“That sounds fine,” he says. “We could go up that trail, I told you there are very lovely views from the top.”

“You know all the good spots,” Daniel says, and Max pulls the blanket around them, the secret sitting in his chest glowing warm: that he’s building Daniel a studio on the land out behind the general store, windows on the lake. He’s going to show Daniel all the good things that are here, show him that he never needs to leave.
