#kingdom hearts #kh1 #hollow bastion #scenery #my gif #creating this set helped me truly appreciate just how detailed this world is #i mean i always knew it was beautiful but i never actually slowed down long enough to REALLY look at it #seriously every single room is so varied and intricately designed it's so impressive #it was difficult to select only eight locations to showcase because this place is huge and each area is so memorable in its own way #i technically used two shots from the lift stops but c'mon i wasn't going to leave out those giant stained glass windows are you kidding me #they look amazing but can be easily missed since they're so high up #this world is so dark and moody with its elaborate architecture despite its soft peach toned skybox that's surprisingly calming to look at #she has the range

Our stay on this earth is so so short, we’re in such a dream state that we keep forgetting this truth

#there’s this girl in my area who died two days ago just like that #collapsed due to the heat and then had a heart attack and died #الله يرحمها #she’s like 19/20 #people our age are dying right next to us #yet we think we’re safe and still have time to improve to change to repent #what great regret it’ll be if we don’t die in the state of true sincere repentance but in one of ghaflah and self deception and sin #being consumed by your nafs by this world and sucked into it #اللهم اني اسالك حسن الخاتمة #we’re so lost in our worldly struggles and ideas and desires that we forget what we’re here for #you can live on this earth and engage with people and enjoy your stay even if you always keep your heart in check and your deeds aligned #with what Allah swt wants #you can turn all your actions into worship by having the right intention #eating sleeping -> to gain strength for worship and be of benefit for people #studying working -> learn about the beauty and intricacy that Allah has put into His creation #work to achieve what Allah has written for you #that’s true life connecting everything to the Creator the One who gave us life #everything else is just deception and will go to waste #and cannot be called a true life

Bloodborne is seriously the most beautiful game of all time i think about this every single time i replay it but genuinely. Just exploring yharnam and staring in awe at how gorgeous everything is, its never about graphics, bloodborne has a noticeable stylization i think in a way even stronger than other fromsoft games, and the use of lighting and color palettes is just so good it makes me want to Be there. The game is already so stunning as it is ingame but i think having access to the map viewer on my own to the side made me appreciate it even more i love seeing the way everything is constructed and put together with just the flat textures before applying any engines and even as flat surfaces you can just feel the cohesion in the backgrounds, even textureless stripped of everything that makes it "beautiful" it still feels so unique and already gets the vibe across and that explains how the game feels the way it does visually, which is something i think a lot of current gen "high fidelity" games struggle with. Hard to explain what I mean but I feel it. Also i love the slight like chromatic aberration effect bb has on the edges of the screen it adds such a nice touch to the atmosphere honestly. Sighs dreamily

#like every single location is so unique and has its own style separate from each other #but in a way thats really cohesive and still makes it feel like part of the same thing #and theyre all so beautiful in their own way #ppl dunk on the forbidden woods and nightmare frontier a lot for what i think are #just gameplay reasons but their blind hatred of those areas extends to the way theyre often excluded when #people talk about all the 'prettiest areas' and whatnot. but i think they deserve the love just as much as anywhere else #when youre not panic running through it the woods are really beautiful and well crafted #its all so skillfully put together to give exactly the atmosphere it needed #theres so many parts of it that feel iconic to me or at least could be #and the nightmare frontier i think genuinely has some of the most stunning environment designs #that were introduced by it later reused in the hunters nightmare. so it should #have its own little pedestal as The OG i think. like all the spirals and etchings that feel like #a naturally occurring phenomenon but also does not look like one. you know what im talking about?#and the strangely bright sky and fog in the distance... so so good #i have paragraphs upon paragraphs to say about each area obv but these two feel so underrated #do the fucked up graves in the woods mean nothig to you... does the little cave you spawn in in the frontier mean nothing to you...

My toxic trait is that I like how my incomplete drawings look better than the finished things

#im sorry i cant be her (my searching lines)#i cant stop thinking about this drawing i have a sinking feeling that im gonna be very unhappy when its done #or. not unhappy. but not as excited as i feel about it now!#i only worked in two short chunks on it but both were pretty productive #i have a feeling that when i take the time to really dedicate myself to it im gonna fuck something up #like i can see areas i need to/can improve already but the glaring flaws are ok! bc it's not finished!#it OVERALL looks cool and LOOKS like it has the potential to turn out well #but will it... WILL IT??? WILL IT EVER?#i have never been so totally completely satisfied w any finished drawing ive dedicated myself to fully.#tales from diana #this is also only the second time ive done a really deliberate self-portrait that wasnt in some for or another. practice #like of course ive drawn my face before. not that often actually. but since yes i do draw. i have drawn myself #i probably should've drawn myself more times for how often i think id like a nice picture of myself #but then again its not gonna be so 'nice' if i make it and am not totally happy w it?#see one of the ppl who inspired me to learn to draw is ned @sneez my dearest. he's spoiled me before #and drawn me very beautifully on several occasions and it's very much a thing to move one's heart #to see someone dedicate their talent to depicting YOU.#and i might say HE has made me look more beautiful in art than i think i'll ever look in the flesh #which is not to say he drew me inaccurately. but he's so talented that his art is more beautiful than life.#and i dont compare myself in skill to him bc he's been doing it for YEARS and way more trained than me in the visual arts.#like it simply wouldn't be fair so i only compare myself to myself. naturally #but i used to think. very VAINLY i might say. that if i could draw like him id draw beautiful pictures of myself all the time #well ce n'est pas ca mon ami. since learning to draw i've found im much more interested in drawing ppl i find beautiful #rather than myself. im not art. not through my own eyes at least.#i should really draw ned sometime. i really should.#actually somewhat embarrasingly i tried to draw him like 5 or 6 years ago. and i NEVER tried to draw then #i did show him tho and he thought it was very impressive but that's probably just bc he loves me. xoxox #maybe ill post that someday as a throwback just for the hell of it. lol. thatd be cute

From top: halberd-leaved yellow violet (Viola hastata); sweet white violet (Viola blanda); broadleaf toothwort (Cardamine diphylla); Carolina spring beauty (Claytonia caroliniana); bloodroot (Sanguinaria canadensis); common blue violet (Viola sororia); Allegheny serviceberry (Amelanchier laevis); sweet birch (Betula lenta) catkins; and a cranky Allegheny rat snake (Pantherophis alleghaniensis) newly out of hibernation.

I'm gonna be so mad if something eats the fucking strawberry I'm waiting to ripen before I can get to it. They got the last one and it wasnt even fully ripe! You little fucker!! Theres a few flowers still blooming due to the hot weather continuing (god help us) which is funny and I do enjoy watching the strawberries grow from flower to berry but... I'd like the animals to stop eating them first :(

#marquilla #next summer ill have to put the pot up on the old play box instead of next to it. ill get a bigger pot for the blueberry 'tree' (not a bush #it's like a stick) and maybe transplant some into a hanging basket (the strawberries) bc that fucker is propagating in other areas #on the ground around it which is amusing bc i got that bulb? seed pod? for $0.50 at walmart two years ago baybeeee! got garlic too that #never grew 😥 i wanna grow black bulb garlic bc my grandpa had that and it smelt really interesting agdgdgdgd i never ate it but id try it #speaking of the backyarden i have SO many marigold seed pods already shdhdhdh im drying them out on the picnic table and putting them in a #jar i think i might put them in this big pear jar we had bc the lid was stabbed (dont ask) so slight ventilation while keeping critters out #in the garage ANYWAYS we have these BEAUTIFUL red and yellow ones that look painted and theyre so so lovely #and orange. few plain yellow. and red/orange ones but i clip the petals off the seed pods (space/easier to dry) so it's a mystery on which #will grow! but we sprinkle the seeds all over the side garden and by late summer they all bloom and i LOVE it 🥰🥰🥰#if anyone wants some mystery color marigold seed pods ill mail em to you sgdghdhd just throw a handful in a ziploc bag and an envelope

#found the apartment i want #it's second floor so it's gonna be a bitch on days my knees are acting up #but it's a two bedroom that's cheaper than most of the one bedrooms in the area #all of my new colleagues have recommended the properties first most have lived in them at some point and no one has had a bad thing to say #they're in beautiful historic buildings and they allow pets #plus the kitchen has sooooo much counter space #i just hope the website is correct and they haven't filled the vacancy yet because it appears to be the only available unit at the moment #and i need to find something quick #but the only other quick options are expensive as hell in huge complexes that i don't particularly want to live in #oh also it's only a 3 minute drive/15 minute walk from work #fingers crossed because i want this place 😫#moving drama #personal

Ok so my assistant manager just put his notice in (bc the patriots won a football game. don’t even worry about it) so he is imminently unemployed. which means there’s gotta be 2 promotions minimum rn. a local supervisor needs to take his spot and then a supervisor position will be open that EYE can hopefully take. c’monnn let’s get me to a living wage this year babyyyy !!!

nothing like staying up aggressively late to finish a book that you don't realize till halfway through is kind of infuriating and wrong and yet you have to see the end so you can close the lid on the fury vs. the healing joy of going off to read a book and then reading it all in one sitting because it was glorious and exactly suited to what you needed to read at that moment!
