In the dark

Maybe I was upset because I never knew what it meant to be happy Did it ever occur to you that my lips were stained with blood Not because I got beat But because I beat myself up Because I'm tired of how incomplete I am Can't you see How I hate holding myself in the dark Because I couldn't find you amongst the people that pretended to care about me only to leave me on the empty dance floor trying to pump blood back into my veins I've been shot in the dark And I can't even see that I didn't shoot me I've been hiding in the corner of your basement Bleeding and self-abusing Because my guilt for coming near you Eats me alive and vomits me back out I'm sorry for being a part of your life Trust me I hate myself than you hate me My ugly face covered in all those things you were right about How I'm destructive, useless, and responsible for so much fucking pain Sough my mouth shut and take my eyes out Because fuck I can't afford looking at world that I've burnt down for the tenth time God whoever you claim to be You made your worst mistake when you let me live and forgot to kill me Because now I'm spreading my twisted thoughts and society's sickening soul is as black as tar I've been overdosing on this hate for a year now and my head runs in a maze to remind itself how dysfunctional and worthless it craves to be and has now become.
