how do you use fl studio? it looks so confusjng. there are so many things. it seems like the only way to learn it is to sell your soul (not a reference) to some sorr of elder god of music. like there’s reasons i make music using beepbox

i thought this too when i first got it sjdhsk and tbh there's still a Lot i don't know about it. but if you're just asking for the basic How To Put Notes On Screen And Make Sounds heres what i do

go to "generators" under the "plugin presets" from the menu on the left. you open enough dropdowns until you see gear symbols with names and you can click-drag them into the "channel rack" and click the bar next to the name there to use the piano roll to make sounds. and i feel like if i explain any more without pictures it's gonna get confusing djsjdk

that being said you'd probably have a better time watching youtube tutorials than asking me,, the visual aspect of it all.

also if you're using the free version you should be warned it lets you save and export things but it doesn't let you open previously saved project files. i was not aware of that when i tried it
