In no particular order:

Kerosene and Open Flame one-shot collection of Mason/Zoe Dawson fics about two people who are most definitely, absolutely not falling in love with the other.

So a Vampire Walks Into a Bar Adam + Zoe genfic that I love purely because it was the first thing I really wrote for TWC fandom and it kicked me out of an extremely dormant writing rut. Adam and Zoe got off on the wrong foot and both of them apologize while pulling shoes out of mouths.

Research, Duets, and Afternoon Tea One-shot collection of Nate/Rowena Kingston fics.  Mostly fluff, these two were my go-to de-stress pairing for this year. 

5 Times Detective Lucas Greene Failed Spectacularly at Seducing Ava du Mortain (and 1 Time He Didn’t) Lucas is my confidant disaster of a man and I adore him to pieces.  This fic was mostly me fleshing him out while having him make perpetual heart eyes at Ava.

Poetry and Candlelight M-Rated first time fic with Nate/Rowena.  Sweet and steamy.

Day 24: Enchantment Part of the 31 Days of Wayhaven.  Nicky and Isabela have a reunion 300ish years in the making that definitely didn’t go as Nicky had planned.

Day 27: Unkempt Part of the 31 Days of Wayhaven.  After getting demoted, Nicky got assigned to desk jockey duty in one of the worst departments to proofread documents.  To make matters worse: they didn’t even have a decent coffeemaker in the break room.

Day 30: Night Part of the 31 Days of Wayhaven.  Further adventures of a demoted Unit Delta stakeout, featuring Nicky and Cam.  Without Penny and Winona’s supervision, they go on a junk food spree.  Feelings are talked about.

The Wayhaven Chronicles - Update 16/August/2024

I did something I wasn’t expecting this week! Something I haven’t yet done!

I completely changed one of the members of a unit I’ve already had in my head for aggggges!

Yes, Unit Delta got a bit of a mix-up, hehe! :D

One of the members just…wasn’t working as I was writing them. They weren’t right for the position they had.

So, when something is not gelling at all, I know it needs to be changed, no matter how long I’ve had them this way for in my head or how much of the scene I’ve already written.

Breaking down the unit, I suddenly realised that their handler actually might work a whole ton better as a full member of the team. So, I went back to the scene and started rewriting it with the handler as the team member—and it worked!

It was finally flowing really well to read instead of feeling staccato and not at all organic.

But I haven’t lost that character I replaced. Instead, he’s slipped into the handler role instead, as I still really like him. Plus, I already know he balances the team well, just as the more hands-off position as handler.

So yeah…that was a very unexpected thing. But it was definitely worth the extra work of rewriting to change that!

But even with that, it’s looking like I will finally finish this chapter tomorrow!!! Yay!

Oh my word, it’s been a doozy to write, lol! :D It’s one of those chapters that has so much to it, but as a reader, you’ll only see a small amount, because the scene can change with the unit you get and even the opening is varied depending on the love interest.

But that’s what I love doing for Wayhaven! Trying to make it so there’s lots to see even in multiple replays, or just to enjoy as a single playthrough that’s reacting more closely to your choices!

I am very ready to get editing this chapter and move onto the next chapter, that’s for sure, hehe!

Unit Delta - the gorgons and gargoyles- A team far different than any the MC has met so far. More reserved in nature with no outgoing personalities and much more introverted and observant.

It’ll be interesting to see how your MC deals with a team that’s much less in their face from the first meeting, hehe! ;D

Hello!! I hope you’re doing well!

Sorry if this is a bit of a weird/potentially spoiler-y question (feel free to ignore if you don’t want to answer), but are there any plans for other teams within the Agency? So far we’ve been introduced to Unit Bravo (obviously haha), Unit Alpha and Unit Victor, but are there any other teams we’ll be introduced to later? 👀

(I ask out of curiosity but also because I’ve been having thoughts of making an OC Agency team for this universe and don’t want to accidentally use a team name that’s been used already. Thank you so much!! ❤️)

Unit Delta will be turning up in Book Four, and I'm very excited to introduce them as they have a very different vibe to the excited/enthusiastic teams we've met so far!

All of the teams actually have canon teams already, but Unit Uniform were killed by Murphy before Unit Bravo arrived, so that spot is the most likely to be open for playing with!
