I hate it when xtians reduce my religious trauma to "a religious person said something mean to you once so now you're mad at religion".

Like, shut the fuck up. My trauma isn't just someone being a little rude to me once, it was systematic, deliberate manipulation with the threat of possible eternity of suffering in Hell if I didn't obey religious rules and "keep Christ in my heart". It was "Nonbelievers burn in a lake of eternal fire. Tell your friends to convert to our faith or they'll be damned for eternity".

I have suffered from anxiety, ocd and other mental health issues for several fucking years because of this shit. I've suppressed my sexuality and felt terrible guilt just for the 'sin' of having sexual thoughts. I've feared for my loved one's souls, genuinely believing they would go to Hell for simply not being xtians and that I'd never see them again in the afterlife.

These beliefs are sick and twisted. What I went through was sick and twisted.

I seriously don't know what to say to you if you still think telling anyone, let alone a child, that they're going to be damned for eternity if they disobey 'God's word' is totally fine and not abusive.

Know your fucking place and stop speaking over trauma survivors who have been hurt by your shitty religion.

Fascinating how children are too young to know anything about the LGBTQ community but they're certainly old enough to be told that they are filthy and inherently broken sinners who will be sent to Hell if they don't confess their "sins" to a potential child predator dressed in black.

imagine one of your friends coming up to you being like "wow, i really wanna be like you. i wanna be just as cool and good looking as you" and in response you shove them to the ground and set them on fire because in your mind, no one can ever even *want* to be as good as you, and even thinking that is an adominable sin.

also, what if hell is just, an ex-christian therapy group led by satan? everyone just sits in a circle (if they want) and theres like, little cats with bat wings and theres drinks and snacks and we all just talk about how the church fucked us up and satan is like "yeah man, i totally get it. they all didnt want you to come here because they knew youd get all the support you need, instead of the control they want to keep."

like thats such a nice mental picture. what if hell is just a safe space and the reason christians are so against it is because people will find out the truth there?

what if the reason christians say satan and his demons "tempt" people is so that they can tell them to get out of that toxic church environment? what is hell is the actually good place?

of course, i dont necessarily believe in a heaven and hell, this just serves to lessen my hell anxiety

Death HC’s

Writing this part at 6am I am not sure what will be ahead as I usually write a wall of text and edit the rest later T.T

This is legit all about death, so… I guess take these warning.

Death

I made a whole lore for death just for creepypasta.

If anyone plays sky here, it will be very helpful for the guardian of the Nile 🙃

So, there are 3 areas after death: Xenos, Delta, and Hydra. (All are Greek words)

Each is ruled by a guardian that has the skull(?) of a different animal.

There’s a river in each that aids the shades in some way or another.

General Idea of Death

The way this works is, when a human is born, they begin an hourglass that flips and turns depending on their actions and deeds while living.

Frame is made from wood that looks like roots coiling around each other and gold laced within them.

When the person dies, one of the guardians (either with the bull or rabbit) will break it in half and turn it into a balance for judgement.

The “sand” inside of it is actually the ashes of the person’s soul.

As long as the person does not have a neutral level, they’re soul has to be burned so they can’t escape their fate (more on this later)

Even though they seem like heaven or hell, both can be seen as punishments

Each guardian has a staff that they use to hold the balance.

Xenos, Rabbit, and The Nile

Xenos is the equivalent to “heaven”.

It is guarded by death with the skull/head of a rabbit.

Its staff is made from granite and bone.

Remember when I said ppl who play sky would have a better picture of the head? Yeah- in days of fortune there’s a rabbit mask, kinda like that.

I used a bunch of different mythologies from over the world to make these realms after death. Xenos is based more on Egyptian myth.

The Nile is supposed to provide life to the land behind its gate.

Speaking of the gate- it’s made of gold and obsidian with the (actual) skull of a rabbit over the middle.

It’s called “Xenos” (Greek word for stranger) because once you go in, you are NOT coming back out. So no one who has seen it will ever be able to tell what it’s like. Whether that is good or bad is up to the person.

It can be so repetitive for the shades there that they want to leave just for a chance at something new, but the gate just gets farther away the closer they get.

Delta, The Bull, and Styx

Delta is the idea of Hell.

Delta is the Greek word for difference or separation. The area is called Delta because it is a complete separation from any other being, even other shades.

It is guarded by Death with the skull of a bull.

Its staff is made from pyrite and deer antlers.

The Styx acts as a trap of sorts. It is the opposite of the Nile. Those who drink from it burn their bodies from the inside out, only to be resurrected within the river itself.

Death (bull) only wants to see the shades suffer.

The gate is made from petrified wood and the bull’s skull sits at the top of the cast iron frame.

When the shades step past the gate, they are immediately met with heavy but dry air.

They walk for miles to reach the island that death resides in. The Styx surrounds it.

It is during this walk that the shade may dare to attempt at an escape.

If it tries, their journey to the gate will be 20x longer than their walk to death itself. It will choke out from exhaustion seconds before meeting the gate.

Its “body” will wither to sand as the shade is trapped in the dry soil where it laid, to be trampled by the other spirits that will walk across.

If it chooses not to escape, it will be more bearable for a while…

The poor tired and thirsty shade will drink from the river only to be met with pure agony as it feels itself corrode.

It starts to beg and plead for mercy. Though this is only the beginning on its misery.

Depending on the person’s actions they will suffer within Styx differently.

Hydra, the Fox, and Phlegethon

Phlegethon is from Dante’s inferno, described as a boiling river of blood.

Death (Fox) is the only form of death that does not reside within its realm.

Hydra is for demons and vengeful spirits.

Though there are a few exceptions.

The Fox is meant to be the true neutral with judgement.

If there is a disagreement or bias, the Fox will take over.

The fox’s staff is the only one that is two sided. It is made from clay and vines.

Hydra’s gate is a typical wooden gate with (instead of a lock) the skull of a fox.

The only “punishment” part of Hydra is going into it. The spirit has to be dragged through phlegethon. Considering it is a boiling river of blood, it would be painful.

One big difference is that the hourglasses are made from clay, steel, and bronze and the sand is made from tiny crystals of their pain.

And their souls are not burned. They can redeem/condemn themselves if they ever choose to permanently leave Hydra, though it is unlikely.

Hydra is much more pleasant due to the fact that The Fox doesn’t reside there. It rarely interferes with the natural flow of the area.

What do y'all say to christians who are like "Well, I think that [insert a paragraph about non-christian people going to hell if they don't 'repent', or in other words, abandon their 'ungodly' culture, traditions, religion, sexual orientation etc.]" and when you call them out for it they just reply with "It's not like I'm advocating for forcing people into anything, I'm only voicing my opinion regarding non-christians' cultural practices & lifestyle. You're a threat to my free speech!" ?

It always makes me feel iffy when people say stuff like this, because bigoted talking points & rhetoric can cause harm too, not just the usage of violent force. But also it's wrong to forcefully silence anyone, even if they're bigoted, right? Harmful talking points are kinda like toxic liquids, it's damn near impossible to get rid of them by force (the toxic sludge will only spread everywhere & poison people if you try to beat it!), but debunking, giving counterpoints & raising awareness will 'neutralize' these toxins and make them harmless, or less harmful at least!

That's what I think about it. I could be wrong though, idk really...

Divine & Demonic

Once upon a time, there was a demon. This demon was the king of Hell. He had large, black wings, sharp claws and horns, and a crown. The demon ruled the fires of Hell for millennia, evil and cruel.

Until, one day, a human was accidentally sent to Hell instead of Heaven. 

A child. 

No child belonged in Hell. 

So…. now the demon had to communicate with Heaven to find out what had gone wrong, and how it could be fixed.

An angel came by to verify the situation. And the moment the king of Hell saw this angel, it was the beginning of the end for both of them. They locked eyes.

If one were daring enough to use such a human cliche in a story of the divine and monstrous, one might call it love at first sight.

And this perception was not one-sided. 

Were they human, their breaths would have caught, or their hearts might have skipped a beat, perhaps. As it was, they simply stopped dead in their tracks for one small, imperceptible moment, before continuing as if nothing had happened.

The angel, like most others, had smaller, white wings, three eyes, and a golden halo. Yet there was something…. unique. Something in his energy, in his aura, in his power. Something was different.

The demon king felt drawn to the angel. He, however, knew that uttering such a thing, or showing it, would be beyond unacceptable. Even thinking it would be punished, were he not the ruler of his realm, with no spies in his mind. He quickly found an excuse to get the angel alone- Not a lie, no, but an excuse related to the reason he was there in the first place.

The rest, as they say, is history. The beginning of a sordid, ethereal love affair that lasted nearly a century before it all went horribly wrong. They had been discovered; Of course they had. One cannot simply hide from Gods and Archangels. 

The angel was punished first, and in the most brutal way. For all the tortures Hell doles out, it does so creatively, sadistically, beautifully. Heaven’s punishments are rarely as intriguing. It would be cruel and efficient, the type of punishment that leaves them cold without the fires of Hell to warm them.

The angel, heavenly creature, was pushed to Fall. He crashed into the roof of Hell, alerting his lover to their discovery. The demon cared for his ex-angel, gently introducing him to the reality of his new being; a demon, like any other. Wings black by ash, halo cracked and torn, eyes ripped out and replaced by glowing embers picked from the fires of Hell.

They had thought that the end.

Instead, a short while after, came Heaven’s retribution. This was no punishment- this was revenge, for tempting and taking one of their angels. As if it hadn’t been Heaven that cast him out.

The demon’s majestic wings were ripped from his body, stolen and hidden. His pride, his power, even his reign suffered under the loss of his imposing, captivating wings.

And this time it was the angel- now no longer an angel- that comforted his lover.

The demon lost his throne soon after his wings. 

Ex-royalty and ex-angel were shunned both by demonic society for consorting with one another. They took a look around them and realized the only thing they had left here… Was each other.

With a determined nod and a soft kiss, they shed their demonic natures, becoming mortal.

Human.

Their human lifetime passed within a blink of the immortal eye, yet they filled their time with love, and joy, and family, and passion. And when the time came to be judged, 

Heaven or Hell,

There was no denying that their human selves had been good, and kind. They were begrudgingly let into Heaven, and lived their afterlife with the same love and peace as they’d lived their human lives.

whenever my grandmother died right before i turned 9, after her funeral, my parents and grandfather went back to their (my grandparents's) house along with a lot of family members. i, being the anxious kid i was, hid away in a guest bedroom until everyone left, then once i didnt hear anyone anymore, went to the kitchen to get a soda or something.

and everyone was gone. my parents and grandfather were nowhere to be seen. i looked out the front windows and checked every room, even called out a few times, but no. nothing.

i started freaking out because i thought that the rapture had happened and i had been abandoned by god himself, that god ignored an 8 year old, left her on earth, and not allowed her to see her grandmother who she just lost.

turns out they were just in the garage, but they didnt make a single sound, so i couldnt tell, but that memory still fucks me up to this day. i hate that ive been taught from a young age that everyone around me could disappear and i could just be left behind for no good reason.

i was taught that god could just abandon me and send me to hell even if i followed all his rules. i could go to hell just because he wanted to send me there for fun.

there was no guarantee of heaven. to them, it was almost like jesus's sacrifice did nothing, that god could and would send some people to hell because they werent good enough according to their standards, like jews and catholics.
