ENGERUB | The Grub Pokemon Ground/Bug Type (Engerlinge = An old german word describing all larvae of the family Scarabaeoidea | Engerlinge+Grub = Engerub) POKEDEX ENTRY: The name “Engerub” actually describes two species of Pokemon that are hard to differentiate. Only the distinct Y-mark on their buttocks reveals which of the two beetle species they’ll evolve into. The thick layer of protective fat makes this grub a highly sought after meal for Flying-type Pokemon. Thus Engerubs rarely dig their way up to the surface and mostly stay underground. Farmers and Forest Rangers consider this Pokemon to be a pest for eating away at the roots of trees and hedges.
Hey guys! SURPRISE! I made a Fakemon for a change! :D I'll be sharing its evolution over the course of this week! I made 9 Fakemons in total and am looking forward to sharing them with you guys! :D Hope you'll enjoy!

Grubs! A Kind of Extended Talk
If you are here reading this, chances are you're either a curious extraterrestiral that somehow got hold of this blog's url (greetings!) or you are one of the lucky few who survived the hardships of the first stages of grubhood and somewhat safely matured to trollhood. An applause to you. 👏
Statistically speaking, only a measly 15% of a batch of grubs from a Mother Grub make it to trollhood. The rest either are stillborns, get eaten, get hunted down, or die of natural causes like illnesses or injuries. No matter your caste, you are special.
A curiosity, there is a 2% chance that a single grub egg might have twins. However, the two do not particulary tend to stick together, but they will recognize each other thru scent, both in their larval stage and adult stage.
There is also the typical rivalry that comes with such an occurrence and they might actually try fighting each other, so you might not even know you had a twin in the first place.
Anyway, what happens once the little guy pops out the slimy ball of mucus? Well, at that stage they are VERY small, around the size of your palm. Their eyesight is miserable, and they can barely emit noise. That's when they are allowed a period of stasis in the caves to absorb their egg's slimy nutrients, and grow a little.
Once their eyesight forms a little to the point they can distinguish color and depth, rougly 1.1 feet long, and their horns are no longer little nubs but somewhat a recognizable shape, that's when they're let out on their own.
If you're wondering, at this stage it's virtually impossible to tell a grub's gender (why would you assign it one anyway in the first place?).
Out there they have to survive on their own until they find a Lusus to bond with, unless they meet a horrible demise. Obstacles include the scorching sunlight, Lusii that see them as food rather than kin, and also poachers. Despite their size and apparent helplessness, they do have some tricks up their sleeve.
An example is Rustbloods and Goldbloods just now developing their telekinetic or psiionic powers, which actually makes them slightly more dangerous than a pupated troll, since they cannot control them.
People tend to avoid Cerulean grubs completely (or try to snag them for a ton of cash), because they tend to fire random mind control at their attacker when threatened. It does not last as much as a pupated troll, and feels more like a pounding migraine, but it is very annoying.
Then there's higher castes like indigos and purples, which have abnormal strength. A grub's bite is already nasty by itself as they have some sharp teeth, but when indigos and purples bite, they lock their jaws and don't let go until they're satisfied. And sometimes, they can dig right past your muscle tissue.
You'd think seadweller grubs are an easy catch since they're in confined areas like lakes and rivers and the sea, but those tend to have a strong scent that gets them a Lusus fast (highblood privileges I guess). And those Lusii tend to be very nasty. So, do not try.
Now that we got a look at the castes, what's next?
The Pupation process!
The journey towards trollhood requires some fundamental steps. The grub must be at least one sweep old, have a Lusus it bonded with, and feel safe in an enclosed area like a cave, tree trunk, etc.
Eventually, a grub will start to secrete a foam-like substance from their mouth that is greenish in color: That is them making the cocoon's silk and mixing it with their saliva.
They will soon find a comfortable spot to cocoon up, and each grub was observed to have their own style based on caste and personality: Some hang by a thread, others literally 'glued' themselves on a surface, some lazily sat on the floor like a sack of tubers, And plenty more creative ways.
The silk, when hardened, is surprisingly sturdy. Some trolls keep it as a memento after they pupate, or reuse it for clothing.
It takes a troll half a sweep to pupate, and what goes inside sounds gruesome, but fascinating: The grub's body 'digests' itself sort of, and some specialized cells start to rearrange that slurry around into the new body.
After they hatch, they will have one last reminder of when they used to be trolls: Troll scars. They're present on the sides of one's body, a little more below the armpits. Apparently the middle legs of the larval stage simply fall off and get used in the pupating process.
Everyone remembers the silly things we did when we first got out that slimy mess. Personally, I fell right on my face, rolled on my back, then went to get some water from my sink, which strangely didn't seem so scarily big and tall anymore. My lusus took a whole day to lick me clean. - SL

In light of the release of the Sandsurges, I'd like to take a look back at the two fake Lightning ancients I've made!
The first ones were called Thundercrashers, created in March 2020. Their lore was that they just liked stealing stuff!
The 2nd ones were called the Swarmstingers, created in June 2020. They had giant hives, and every single one were connected to the Stormcatcher through a hivemind.
I... feel like I got a little close to what we actually got?

It’s raining grubs!
This fat grub suddenly fell out of the log I was looking at! He must’ve accidentally chewed his way to fresh air.

Anonymous: hii. I have a bit of an obsession with worms. maggots, earthworms, big ones, small ones. I just love the thought of them wriggling around inside of me, pushing the muscles around them with their writhing, their gross slimy bodies rubbing against my insides, against each other, them filling me to the brim whether in my womb or my stomach. I'd prefer them in my womb honestly for. uh. intimacy reasons. call me weird but I like the idea of housing these little creatures much smaller than me, and them being so small while still having such control over me considering how many sensations they cause and the sheer amount of them. idk if I'd ever wanna expel them now that I think about it, but I'd likely have to. I hope I can feel them crawling every inch of the way
Womb or stomach? Why not both, hm?
Being filled to the brim with those slimy, squirming critters would probably feel so good for you. There aren't any nerve endings in the stomach directly, but their presence would still be obvious, especially given that some of the surrounding bodily infrastructure does have nerve endings. And your womb certainly has nerve endings, making the worms entirely viable as a way for you to experience pleasure. For good measure, why not add some to your guts, too? Just fill you up from the inside out in ever way we can?
That's gross, huh? The extra swell of your midsection from being stuffed with just a little bit too much could probably be easily passed off as an early pregnancy, or just having too much to eat, or even go unnoticed depending on your body shape. Instead of any of the normal options, you're touching yourself and moaning while you're so full of writhing bodies not your own, a slave to things so much smaller than you. A slave to worms.
You're such a slut that you're cumming because you're full of things that aren't meant to be inside of you, crawling, slimy, and you enjoy being under their influence, under their control, being their home. It feels like a kind of closeness, letting them stay inside you even though they take over your every thought. It's almost a bond, and it's one you enjoy more than any sane person should. It's one you're grateful for because you get to feel so good every waking moment of your life.
And sure, maybe you'd have to empty yourself out every once in a while for whatever reason. The worms would probably gladly squirm their way to freedom, and you would easily feel them working their way out of you. They'd probably make you cum plenty of times, and clenching around them would only make the process longer, forcing you to stay there with your legs open while the worms keep you under their control for a little while longer. You would feel so empty once they were all gone, too. Maybe you can't even cum when you're empty like that.
And who do you even ask for help filling you up again, huh? Do you have to do it all on your own, or do you let someone else decide when you get the pleasure of being infested?

How would a thunderclan cat go about caring for leeches? I imagine it would be harder for them than Shadowclan cats since I imagine things aren’t quite as like.. damp in thunderclan. I love leeches pls give me the husbandry lore 🥺
I'm taken aback at how many people want the leech lore, I did not expect this much love for Spotty's girls. But, ok!
For one, they are medicinal leeches. Hirudo medicinalis. This species is actually threatened in England, specifically because it's so rare for livestock to drink from lakes these days. So these wild leech specimens are actually found in ShadowClan territory, and they heavily rely on Clan cats!
They also do prey on the occasional boar, fox, or badger that wades through the mud. ShadowClan loves leeches, they think they are useful as medicine AND as snacks, leading to a symbiotic relationship.
(sadly this means that the expansion of the highway and the loss of the Clan cats massively disrupted the leech population. There are probably conservationists who discover too late that there were medical leeches surviving in this area and despair over how they could have saved the White Hart woods.)
Anyway, keeping leeches is easiest for ShadowClan of course, but ThunderClan can do it with some effort. Spotty has a two-part terracotta bowl (a dish and a lid) which helps keep them cool, even in summer, and she stores them in the darkest part of her den. At the bottom of this bowl is mud, wet leaves, swampy substrate.
It's not hard to feed them with worms or insects, but they have so many elders with joint pain that there's enough food to go around. Spotty also really doesn't mind just letting them nibble her arm; leech bites aren't painful or anything.
The hardest part is getting pond water when she needs to clean the bowl. You want water that's full of good bacteria that can support fish, not just any old ditchwater.
Before Yellowfang's exile, she would ask for ShadowClan pond water and usually be granted permission with an escort. Brokenstar didn't see a need to make a hard embargo with ThunderClan when he was so focused on eradicating WindClan first.
Yellowfang has a lot more knowledge about caring for leeches though. Because she can't access pondwater, she ran some experiments with the lesser-leeches (the ones that weren't Spotty's beloved 3), and found she can clean the bowl slowly using river water, but doing it all at once could shock the leeches.
But, it's not very hard. Harder than keeping mealworms, but leeches are an easy animal to keep. They're also really cute, like fat worms, with nice patterns.
