As a new army I'm fascinated to hear about people being fans from the start. And you've been here pre debut! I would love to hear your story. How did you find out about them? Was there as much info about trainee groups then as there is now? What drew you into them? Were you into k-pop before? What was your reaction to tae's face reveal? Thoughts on the debut album and performance? Were there translations easily available? Are you friends with any army from those days? Which was the first show you went to?I would love to know everything! It's incredible you've seen their whole journey in real time. (So many questions i apologise lol)

I dont know if this still happens so often but at the time they debuted it was quite common for us to know information about new groups even before they debuted. so in december 2012 i was on my laptop on a kpop forum and they were talking about bighit and their new group. I remember at that time they said that bangtan was going to have a lot more members. and there were already people sharing photos of the members, video of namjoon rapping and also their youtube channel. and thats when I got curious. at that time i was missing something totally different in kpop and i saw it in them and especially in namjoon (i didnt know about jeongguk when i found out about them). at that time bap had debuted with something very different from what they used to have in kpop but i didnt feel connected to them or curious about them, but with bangtan i got curious as soon as i heard about them.

i've been listening to kpop since i was a little kid. i have an aunt whos been a fan of tvxq since they debuted so she was the one who made me go deep into kpop. at that time the only group i really liked all the music was shinee. i even cut my hair like taemin in lucifer but i looked like a dog lmao. replay and lucifer is one of the few songs from that era that I still remember the full choreography 😆 but i think what made me like shinee besides their music was taemin and jonghyun. I thought he was so amazing and I still think he is one of the most amazing and talented artists we have.

ever since i found out about bangtan every video and stuff they posted had me so mesmerized and hypnotized. anything they posted I said, "they are amazing!!!" 😆 I think their debut album was amazing and managed to show very well what they came to do and show at that time. I think their first album was perfect! but since I always liked groups from big companies, it was very hard to see how different the treatment is for those who are debuting from a small company and those who are debuting from a big company. and also how hate came to bangtan since they debuted. it was something that was very hard to see. you've probably seen them talking about it and how it went for them right. at that time I had a need to read and wanted to defend bangtan from everything. now I'm not like that anymore but I still feel super protective of some things. even though I dont think I had to waste time on these things, sometimes its really hard to stop myself.

we didnt have so many translations at that time :/ here on tumblr we had bangtan tumblr from the beginning. they had another blog until they made bangtan tumblr. and soon a already had bts-trans. I'm not 100% sure but I think bts-trans was the first source of bangtan translations we had. and for good quality video content we only had one source which was _helloflora on twitter. and yes i made a lot of army friends since the beginning but most were all namjoon and yoongi biased. I think because they are older than me. my first concert was in 2014 in zepp tokyo which was their first showcase in japan.

I think the wildest, shit take, negative comments I've seen creep into TVXQ content recently are those unironically calling then old and irrelevant. Like this is clearly just sad ass attempts at inciting reaction. Because like, what's your plan? Drop your fave as soon as they turn 30? You don't want them to have the same longevity? Listen to yourselves, why do you choose to be stupid?

Unbeknownst to you, the fans have uploaded your shopping interaction with YunHo online. Now up on every kpop gossip forums, are the scandalous articles of you two-timing the TVXQ! duo.  You were happily chatting with YunHo on your way up to your apartment, and when you reached your doorstep, it coloured your vision to see ChangMin's shoes at the door. He's back!

You passed the shoe rack, picking up the broken phone and showed it to YunHo who was astonished at the functioning broken phone.

you placed the shopping bags on the kitchen island, and saw the packed food from your favourite food tent. being more happy, you looked around for ChangMin in the house. 

You found ChangMin in the bedroom, zipping a travel bag.

" Are we going on a holiday? "You hugged him from behind, telling him that you're surprised that he's planned a trip, only to find him not responsive to your aegyo.

As YunHo was unloading stuff into the fridge, it caught ChangMin's attention that someone else was in the house. He snapped out of his anger and turned around, and you see him with tears forming in his eyes.

" You brought him here? " ChangMin stared right into your soul. Taken aback, especially after noticing the dried tear marks on his face.

"Oh, we went shopping, ChangMin ah, why are you .. were you crying?" You tried to reach for his cheeks but he slapped your hand away harshly.

"Stop touching me. Go to your Jung YunHo" ChangMin hissed, looking around for something.

"What.. What do you mean?" Following him around like a puppy, still not grasping the situation.

"I told you before. The one thing I can never stand, is cheating." He accused through pursed lips. "You can stay here, I'll move out for the time being. I need some head space to think about us."

"Cheating? what are you talking about?" You pulled him closer but he resisted.

"Don't touch me." He gritted out the words. resisting your advances. The two of you struggled, pushing against each other until your balance broke. You stumbled, landing on his chest as he instinctively held you close, taking the brunt of the fall.

YunHo came right in after hearing that, only to find you guys hugging on the floor.

"Hyung's here. Can't you keep it in your pants till after I leave?" YunHo teased as he moved to pick you guys off the floor.

"Don’t touch me." ChangMin told him, looking angrier by the minute. He sat in a defensive pose, one knee folded up and the other stretched up on the floor creating a distance with his long leg, preventing YunHo from getting any closer.

"Minnie ah, what's wrong? Why are you like this?" YunHo kneeled in front of ChangMin as the younger one refused to stand with his help.  "Go away.. I will kick you." The evil maknae ego surfaced during the tension. 

Shocked to see ChangMin like this, you spotted his phone on at the leg of the bed, severely cracked, with an article was still on the screen. "Cheating girlfriend of ChoiChang ChangMin out for TVXQ!'s weKnow who! The article, full of pictures of you and YunHo shopping for a new phone and in the supermarket, laughing and joking around, they even followed you guys to your shared apartment with ChangMin.  

Several unpleasant emotions broiled within you, twisting your heart at the thought that ChangMin believed all of these. "Y/N ah, why are you crying? Are you hurt?" YunHo was shocked at your reaction. Just one moment ago, You were on the floor on ChangMin's chest, another moment you are sitting on the bed, then the next you're crying on a cracked phone. Avoiding eye contact, you handed YunHo ChangMin's phone.

He scrolled carefully, as to not get cuts from the cracks and scoffed. Turning his attention to the one sitting on the floor now, YunHo inquired in a calm and cold voice.

"Does hyung look like this kind of person? Someone who will steal my brother's girlfriend?" YunHo slapped ChangMin in the head, disappointed with him. "This is what you think of me?"

Glaring at YunHo with those killer doe eyes now, " Do you think that I wanted to believe those to be true? " ChangMin retorted.

Pulling out your broken phone from his back pocket, YunHo showed him the DMs and threats sent to you daily by his "fans". "Take a look". YunHo insisted, though you opposed. "It's alright. He has to know. "

"What is this?" ChangMin took the phone that was in a worse state than his, and read every one of the messages.

YunHo sat beside you, at the end of the bed. Acting like your big brother, as usual, tries to clean up your tear stained face.  

His shoulder slumped and his grip on the phone loosened slightly, as though the weight of what he was reading had sapped the energy from his muscles.

"Why didn't you tell me about this?" ChangMin looked up at you. Sighing in disbelief. "Was this what you were talking about with hyung just now?"

"Yes, I didn't know how to tell you about this. I don't even know where to start!" You shouted in anger and broke down, crying into YunHo's embrace.

"Look at what you've done." YunHo reprimanded, shaking the empty tissue box in ChangMin's face. "Go get some more." YunHo demanded.

ChangMin sat up on the bed, right beside you and took you back from YunHo's comforting arms. "I'm sorry." ChangMin apologised with kisses and it made you cry harder.

Getting the cue, YunHo stood up, preparing to leave the room.

"Alright kids, good to see you make up but hyung's hungry. Unless you want me cooking." YunHo joked as he tapped his fingers on your shoulders playfully like he's playing the piano.

Laughter continued to flood the house like before, as you prepare dinner with a live dance battle going on the living room. " Is this what they call dinner with a show? " You thought to yourself, laughing out loud at the duo. YunHo was so brutal he left no crumbs.

Dinner was fun again, uplifted and relaxing. ChangMin did seem distracted for awhile as his phone kept ringing. You saw that it was from ChaeRin. "Argh, that woman. " You feel your heart racing from the intense boiling of your blood.  You couldn't see most of the text, but on the notification bar, you could still read out " Sunbaenim are you reaching soon? I'm ready and waiting for you! " " This little bitch… " Your face started showing those subtitles though you said nothing in reality.

Sensing that you've noticed, ChangMin got behind you, his arm encircling you as he held out his still broken phone in front, where you both could see the screen clearly.  " Sorry, I've send the message to the wrong person. Have a good night! " You saw him sent it out. Your petty boy laughed right in your face, chucking his phone away and picking your new one up. " I'll use this one, and get you another one." ChangMin promised. "That ought to keep the paparazzi at bay."  author's note: sorry i've been away for so long, I'll catch up on the request in my inbox! So I got into a rabbit hole of 2ne1 reactions on youtube, so I was really in my feelings for them, and since it's 2ne1 I started thinking about other yg artists too. Obv I started thinking about bigbang. I follow 2ne1 and member tags here on tumblr so sometimes I'd see posts here, but they aren't actually that popular here so it's very few new pics. I suddenly thought the worst and immediately went to seungri tags and guuurrlll, I can't believe it, people are posting new pics of him post prison ☠️ girl groups will disband in the best terms and still lose popularity but boy groups could be put into prison and they'd still be waiting for their oppars. That's it I really put myself in that position and I needed to vent lmao

Trust me, I feel exactly the same like. It's not even an exaggeration at this point to say that every single one of the biggest boy groups out there, from TVXQ!, to SUPER JUNIOR, to BIGBANG, to SHINee, to EXO, have had or continue to have at least one criminal (charged or not) in their lineups like... BTS next??? The brainrot is real.

Remember when YG used to do a Who's Next? for their comebacks? They should have one for who's getting charged with a crime at this point

When He Has A Nightmare, But You’re Not There ~ TVXQ Reaction

Yunho:

You were lost in your own little world, completely unaware of what was going on in the room above you in the kitchen. Up there, Yunho was panting, darting out of the bed as he failed to see you there beside him.

Heavy footsteps coming down the stairs were what finally caused you to look around, eyes widening as you looked to the stairs to see Yunho bolting for you.

Your hands reached out to hold onto his arms as soon as Yunho was close enough to you. “Breathe,” you told him, meeting his eyes.

“I-I had a nightmare that you were taken away from me,” Yunho began to tell you in between shaky breaths, “I woke up and you weren’t there, I thought it was real.”

“I’m right here,” you softly smiled at him, holding onto him tightly, “you can feel me, and see me, I promise that no one took me.”

A sigh came from Yunho as he slowly began to calm himself down, “I’m sorry, it just scared me thinking that maybe you weren’t here.”

Your head nodded understandingly as Yunho’s smile slowly turned up, “don’t worry, I’m sorry I wasn’t upstairs to be there for you.”

“Don’t apologise, none of this is your fault.”

Changmin:

The sound of your phone buzzing left you with no choice but to groan, rubbing the sleep out of your eyes. Whilst picking up your phone, your eyes caught your alarm clock just beside your bedside, sighing in frustration.

You couldn’t remember the last time that you saw the early hours, but as expected, when you saw who called, there was only one person that it could be.

With your eyes still waking up, you managed to accept his call, bringing your phone to your ear. “What do you want at this time?”

You were startled though as straight away you could hear Changmin’s fast breathing. “Are you still my best friend Y/N? I mean you still like being my friend, right?”

“What? Of course,” you chuckled in disbelief at Changmin’s question, “did you really need to call me at half three in the morning to ask?”

A hum came in reply to you from Changmin, “I had a nightmare that you didn’t want to be friends with me, I needed to check with you.”

You could only chuckle, settling back down against your pillow, “only you would panic at three in the morning that that was real.”

“I just didn’t want for it to come true.”

any person who knows the either of you, is puzzled as to how you both even started dating. your boyfriend is pretty extroverted whereas you are the epitome of introversion. and the fact that he is one half of tvxq does not help much because all eyes are on you and at times you feel suffocated with all the attention. some think that since tvxq are such an older group so the public might not care about them much but netizens are more than interested about every celebrities’ life and the same goes for your boyfriend.

when your boyfriend first brought up the idea that you should totally meet his friends and it was going to be great! you would have so much fun! you are reluctant cause how to socialize, man? what do you even do? say hi? nod / shake your head when they speak and reply with ‘okay’? you were afraid that you embarrass your boyfriend but he assured you that it was going to be fine and he was not wrong at all.

he did not waste his time to invite his friends, super junior’s henry and actor son hojun. yeah, one would think he would have normal friends (which he does) but he has to call in his celebrity friends which is one hundred percent out of your comfort zone cause now you are struggling between fangirling and asking for a autograph and behaving in an eloquent manner to make your boyfriend proud.

however, all your worries ceased when you noticed just how much henry and hojon were trying to make you feel comfortable around themselves. your boyfriend had let them know in advance that you are kind of shy and they were more than happy to accommodate you.

within a short period of time, you felt lighter around them and the conversation set in conveniently too. and before your boyfriend knew it, you were the life of the party to the point where it felt like the trio consisted of you, hojon and henry instead of him with the guys. what was happening? when did he get discarded from the group? the conversation is not even on something he knows a lot about nor is he interested in it.

your boyfriend just stared at your figure; giggling and laughing at their jokes, getting praises for having such an intellectual mind. he had a small pout playing on his lips because he wanted some attention from you too but you were too invested in something else. he placed his hand on your back, sliding down your lower back, his fingers squeezing gently in a massage like way. all he got in return was a curt smile from you and a swift ‘thank you babe’. he let a soft smile but it turned into a frown when you turned back to the two guests in front of you and continued on with your conversation.

he huffed a sigh and tried to bring up other topics in the conversation where he could put some inputs too and engage himself in the talk but all to no avail. and now he genuinely regrets of ever even thinking of calling over his dumbass friends who are literally hogging his girlfriend’s attention.

he feels a rather mix of jealous and pride, he is proud of you for having found a safe place out of your comfort zone where you are easily getting along with newer people but he is jealous cause they are not leaving any of your attention for him. sigh, what a dilemma.

later in the night when the duo left after dinner, you did feel like something was off with your boyfriend; he was awfully quiet the entire time which is highly unusual because when he is in his element, he really shines bright and you love that.

it made you think if you stole his thunder tonight, which led you to feel guilty and you tried to ask him what was wrong but he kept brushing it off. giving you that signature smile of his. although, you would have tried harder to make him talk but he was sleepy and they had an early shoot the next day for the upcoming comeback music video, so you let the thing go.

the next morning, you woke up to an empty bed which was again unusual because your boyfriend never leaves without informing you first. frowning, you walked into the kitchen after freshening up, to grab yourself some breakfast and noticing the clean state of the kitchen, you realized that your boyfriend had left without breakfast.

okay, what is up with this human being? did you do something wrong? why is he behaving like this. he has an important shoot and he went empty stomach. you kept standing in the kitchen, baffled, trying to make heads or tails of the situation. failing to come up with any explanation, you grabbed your phone and left a series of texts to your boyfriend.

bub ♡: you left without breakfast :(

bub ♡: should have woken me up, baby :(

bub ♡: anyways, i hope you are having a good day! please do eat something on the set.

bub ♡: tvxq hwaiting!

your boyfriend was sitting inside the vanity, getting prepped for his part of the shoot. the makeup artist was touching up his makeup when his eyes fell on your texts which popped up one by one on his screen. he grabbed the phone and read the texts through the notification shade, a small smile playing on his lips. no matter how jealous he has been feeling since last night, your cuteness just gets his heart melting. he went to reply but got called by the director so he locked his phone and went for his shoot.

the video is supposed to be quite graphically visual which requires your boyfriend to physically accomplish some stunt-ish feats to satisfy the need of the direction. now on a normal day, it would not be a big deal but unbeknownst to the director, he had accidentally egged your boyfriend on in the wrong way.

during the shoot, your boyfriend did a jump wrong because his outfit got in the way. the director informed him that henry from super junior did a similar thing but it was flawless.

your boyfriend just stared at the guy, “henry did this?”

“yeah, in his last music video while doing a dance move.”

“oh,” your boyfriend just offered him a close mouthed smile before proceeding to do the stunt but one misstep and he fell on the floor with a thud from that height.

the next thing you know, you get a call from the hospital as your boyfriend’s emergency contact.

jung yunho:

yunho was in the emergency room, his hand in a plaster which sustained all the impact of the fall. he was sitting on a wheelchair as a nurse finished up bandaging his elbow when he saw you walking to him. he smiled at once, a feeling of relief washed over him to just see your beautiful face which he missed in the morning owing to his stupid jealousy.

“what have you done!?” your voice was angry, it was upset and it was worried.

“baby i-” he started but you cut him off.

“how dare you hurt yourself?” you sighed, looking over his bandaged arm with a frown gracing your soft features.

yunho hates that he is the reason behind it but he knows he deserves it, “i am sorry..”

“what were you even thinking? you are not a teen anymore, you have to be careful about these things.”

“yah! i am not even that old, i can do these small feats.”

“no. look at me,” you touched his cheek, caressing the skin softly, “you cannot risk your life like this. i love you too much and it hurts to watch you in pain.”

yunho felt like he was at a loss of words, you are right. he was in pain and subsequently you were in pain too, both of you were miserable from the incident which was totally uncalled for.

“i just.. i don’t know, i got so jealous of henry and hojon last night.”

“why?”

yunho bit his lip, embarrassed, “felt like they stole you from me.”

your hand connected to your forehead, as you exhaled deeply, “oh sweet child of mine. who can ever steal me from you?” you leaned down and pressed a chaste kiss on his lips.

yunho never wanted to pull back but he was not in a position to even hold you properly, his arm being out of order. he pouted when you pulled back and you only shot him an amused look before talking to the doctor. within a few hours of tests and checkup, they dismissed him soon after which you took him back home.

“you must be so hungry,” you started, making your way to the kitchen. you whipped up a makeshift sandwich and handed it to yunho.

“you know, i would heal faster if i get to eat something else.”

“sure honey, what do you want to eat?”

“your sweet pussy.”

shim changmin:

changmin knew he was going to get scolded badly for this, you would be so angry but as soon as you walked in the emergency room where he was lying down, his leg in a plaster, he got a hold of your hand and pulled you closer to him.

“let me see, at least,” you protested to his constant tugging but he kept pulling you closer till you were sitting on the edge of the bed. changmin shifted his weight and turned his head so now it was on your lap.

“oh baby, what is wrong? are you in pain? do you want me to get the doctor for you?” you asked, worried out of your mind from his different behavior. he is not one to initiate any kind of public display of affection.

changmin shook his head, “no. i just want you here with me,” he replied, pulling your hands on his face.

you leaned down and placed a kiss on his cheek before letting your hands travel to his hair and play with the strands softly, your nails grazing against his scalp, giving him a sort of head massage.

“i am sorry about last night,” he spoke up after a few minutes passed.

you turned your gaze to him, “you want to talk about it?”

“i don’t know what happened but i just got jealous and you know how i get when i get overwhelmed.”

“yes, yes i clearly remember how you threw out poor minho from our house when he beat you at that game.”

changmin chuckled, defeated, “oh come on! when will you stop bringing up that incident?”

you laughed, “never!”

“i am going to kill minho for narrating that story on national television.”

you smiled at him endearingly, “no, it’s alright, you are a cutie when you get so flustered,” you kissed his nose.

changmin’s hands on your cheeks stopped you from pulling away and instead pulled you into a kiss which would have turned deeper had the doctor not walked in.

you both pulled away immediately and collected the discharge papers from the reception later on. 

the entire ride back home, changmin’s hand was constantly on your thigh, rubbing enticingly, his fingers breaching the hem of your dress every now and then. when you looked over at him, he gave you that look, his eyes sparkling and you know all too well what that means.
