......I haven't felt this shaken up by an episode since Jenna died back in season 2.

This Professor Shane guy...I don't trust him! He is shady and why do I have a feeling he's using Bonnie and the gang to wake up Silas? hmmmm...🤔🤔🤔

So... Elena and Damon are a thing now, and I don't know if I like it. I get that because of the sire bond she's now closer to Damon and her feelings are amplified. But I have a question. Would she have become sired to Stefan if she had his blood in her body instead of Damon's? Like, at the end of season 3, she chose Stefan - that's why she was on the bridge, cause she was driving back to Stefan. So, she obviously had feelings for him. Yeah, just wondering.

I don't like Hayley! I don't like her. She was working with Shane this entire time. Apparently, he knows everything there is to know about her parents, and she never knew them. So she agreed to indirectly kill 12 innocent people to get a flash drive with info about her parents? And by proxy, she doomed Carol. Tyler trusted her, and the hybrids trusted her. And she betrayed all of them and sent them to their deaths.

I don't care that she wants to learn things about her parents, that's fine to want to know more about yourself and be curious. But that is not an excuse or a justification to doom 12 innocent people to a gruesome death.

Oh, Carol...I am so so sorry. You did not deserve what happened to you. I know she was a bitch to Vicky in season 1 and shot Caroline that one time but I never particularly disliked her. (I knew it was eventually coming just didn't know when) also, OMG KLAUS WILL YOU STOP KILLING INNOCENT WOMEN AS PUNISHMENT FOR SOMETHING THEY HAD NO CONTROL OVER!

He turned Jenna as punishment because the gang messed up his sacrifice plan and killed her cause he knew it would hurt Elena. And now he kills Carol because as he said "you (Carol) are the only thing he (Tyler) has left" Like...omg no one deserves to die that way, Jesus Christ! 😭😭😭

I'm not trying to come off as anti Klaus, I think he's a very charming and fun character to watch and Joseph is an amazing actor who gives him such a presence on screen, and, yes, Klaus is obviously very good-looking and charming but that does not excuse his actions! He's a horrible person who does horrible things! And yes I know he had a hard life and has glaring trust issues so Tyler betraying him probably really hurt him but like what the fuck did Carol do? 💀💀💀

When I tell you my heart was beating so fast during this scene! God, I felt so bad for her! Klaus killed her because he knew it would hurt Tyler...Oh Tyler sweetie I am so sorry. Also, the way he called his mom on the phone and she wasn't answering and then when Hayley told him everything he went away and then Carol calls him and he doesn't answer...😟😟😟like fuck, the parallels hit me right in the heart!

Much of the fandom prefers Carenzo over Steroline while criticizing Delena over things like age and Damon's comment in 1x3. Enzo turned at 27 while Caroline turned at 17 but I haven't seen a single person call him a creep for liking her because of her age like they do Damon over liking Elena and hooking up with Caroline when they were 17 because he turned at 24. In 5x17 Enzo tells Caroline after being turned on by her threatening Sloan that she looks like a perky blonde angel and later that day hits on her and telling her modern women are all bosom (boobs) no mystery and checks her out and adds except for her which she responds to by huffing in indifference. The second comment sounds like something men are dragged for saying in real life about modern women dressing promiscuously and not leaving anything to the imagination. It makes sense for the vampires on the show to be inroduced with that mindset about women since they were born centuries ago. I preferred Carenzo as friends and I think Enzo was quick to see Caroline platonically, espcially after he heard her crying over Stefan in 5x17 and his priority was Maggie at the time anyways. Many people don't criticize Enzo's comment but criticize Damon for saying Elena looked perky in her shorts at practice even though he only looked at her eyes for a few seconds before driving away and wasn't situated in an area where he could see how perky she looked in her shorts and just said that to irritate Stefan. Also Bonnie and Elena were adults at the end of the show Caroline stans would be insulted if one said Caroline is less mature than Elena and Bonnie because she's always be physically 17 as a vampire. Frozen at 17 isn't pushed as a concept in TVD and most other vampire media except Twilight and that doesn't make anyways. There are multiple comments throughout TVD that contradict the idea that TVD vampires are younger than their actual age. Caroline tells Klaus she was a kid (17) when he met her unlike the present. Also Caroline was uncomfortable drinking at the grill in 4x9 as vampire or not she's under drinking age. Stefan openly drank at the Grill without discomfort right from season 1 while Elena was uncomfortable drinking at a bar in 1x11 and said she wasn't old enough so it's silly how his stans think Stefan's a teen.

Yeah, I feel there's a certain attitude their vampires should have because they're capable of having any woman they want via compulsion. So really.. I feel their women need to have something special about them that attracts their vampires because they can have any woman they want. I wouldn't have minded Caroline with Enzo, but I prefer Enzo with Bonnie.

Fans slam Damon for his comments, but they fail to differentiate them. Sometimes he says things he truly means, and sometimes he says things just to get under Stefan's skin. His comment about Elena in her short shorts was to get under Stefan's skin. Damon lies a lot, hides a lot, and he does it a lot longer than Stefan because it's all about the side they hide. The more they show Stefan as a ripper, the more they show Damon's human qualities... otherwise he acts a dick while Stefan acts human.

Their underage drinking depends on the environment. Elena drinks at high school parties, like the bonfire in the pilot episode. Caroline drinks at the party in 1x4, but tells Stefan to warn her if he sees her mother. Elena doesn't have a problem drinking in 1x11, she's just not used to establishments serving her because she's underage. Stefan openly drinks at social functions. He's shown drinking in public quite often in the first season.

These are some things Price Peterson (recapper from TVD days) said about Stefan (and Caroline) during season 4. I wish more people criticized Stefan:

"I did like how Stefan immediately regretted being mean to Damon and promptly apologized. I don’t know, it was a nice moment for him. I hope at some point he goes on to apologize to the families of all the people he murdered, and maybe also provide a more thorough apology to Elena for that time he terrorized her on at the site of her parents’ death. As of now his overall remorse for that period is at a Chris Brown level of audacity. Sorry, guy!"

"Unfortunately Stefan was still all pissy from earlier. Stefan is such a cool dude. Remember when Damon spent a lot of Season 3 patiently trying to heal Stefan? Stefan didn't!"

I love sifting through anti Stefan posts because some of them are downright hilarious.

Stefan is a fixed thinker, which causes him to have severe blind spots. Because Elena is a good person, Stefan believes he's the only choice for her because he's an equally good person. Good chooses good, bad chooses bad. In Stefan's mind, this makes him right for her and Damon wrong for her. Because Stefan believes Damon is wrong for her, it must be the sire bond. So because Elena is a good person and Damon is a bad person, it must be the sire bond that's keeping her steady with him. Oy.

I'd love the apology more if Stefan left it at that. Never mind the fact that he insulted Elena because he doesn't agree with her choosing Damon. As I often point out, Stefan doesn't respect all of her choices. More often than not, if the choice involves Damon, Stefan won't respect it. That's why Atlanta was an issue for him in the first season. He manipulated her into a "Fool me once, shame on you" experience with Damon, that's how bad he is with respecting her Damon-related choices. She chose to go to Atlanta with him, and Stefan was bitter about it. He didn't want Damon "bonding" with "his" girlfriend, period.

I speak of Stefan's lack of respect for Elena's Damon-related choices because his apology was fantastic, but then he ended the episode fully expecting Damon to sire Elena to stay away from him. Stefan was talking to Damon about Elena's right to choose while expecting Damon to deny her right to choose by siring her to stay away from him. Because yes, if he sires her to stay away from him, she has no choice but stay away from him. That's not a choice, that's stripping her of her choice. They prove this when Damon sires her to go home in 4x9. She leaves Damon voicemails because after he sires her, she needs his permission to come to him. She can't just come to him by choice. Stefan saw an opportunity to completely remove Damon from the equation. That's why his apology means nothing to me. He's not sorry, he's still trying to "fix" what he believes is broken, and he knows he can't do that without Damon and his witch.

Feeling guilt is different than apologizing. Stefan felt guilt for forcing Damon to become a vampire. It took him 145 years to apologize to Damon for it, and his apology was displaced. That's why I'm not mad that it took Damon 6 more seasons to forgive Stefan.

It would take a completely separate post for me to cover all the issues I have with Stefan threatening Elena on the bridge. That's how disgusting it was.

The humanity thing in season 3 pisses me off because it only proves how selfish Stefan is with Elena.

I blame Delena's feeding scene on Stefan. It shouldn't take Elena nearly starving to desiccation for Stefan to realize something is wrong with his girlfriend. Whether she lied to him or not, it's obvious at the memorial. The girl can barely stand. But hey, she's weak and reliant just as Stefan likes her. He pushed his diet on Elena so bad that he ignored her feelings.

Killing Andie was one of the biggest moves Stefan made for the sake of pushing Damon and Elena together. Heartbreaking death, honestly. Damon had every intention of setting her free at some point because she was Jenna's friend, and he actually liked Jenna. She was that one person his age that he could truly talk to.

I love this scene of Damon reading Elena's diary where she references the story of Camelot and the knight reference. The lot of innocent people dying part reminds me of 4x12:

"...the legend of King Arthur, Queen Guinevere, and the knight she loved, Lancelot.

And here's what I thought. A lot of innocent people died and were miserable because three selfish people - a king, a queen, and a knight - couldn't behave in a civilized way.

They couldn't understand that the more you love, the more you find to love. But those three couldn't give in to love and just share - all three of them."

I love this considering Stefan's reaction to Delena in 4x9.

Beautiful to believe the more you love, the more you find to love... which I feel is much like Caroline's comment to Klaus. "And anybody capable of love is capable of being saved." It's one of my favorite dialogues of the entire series. But there's more than one relationship where love exists. There's a love between friends, between siblings, between parents and children, between romantic partners. That's why I support Klaus and Hope rather than a Klaus ship. For the same reason I love Bamon's and Stelena's friendship and Delena's and Steroline's romance. Why I feel Elena having a brother rather than a sister worked out better for Damon's character journey with Stefan. Why TO's ending is insanely beautiful to me, yet pisses me off at the same time. Why I'm quite content with TVD's ending despite Delena not saying a single word to each other.
