Black people took the word nigger and came up with nigga as a way of throwing it in our oppressor’s faces. The N-word was a derogatory term for African people brought over as slaves to serve white people in this country. It’s being reclaimed by the descendants of those enslaved people as a source of power and agency over their own history. By using that term in a new way, people who are in the process of working through the historical trauma of slavery are reclaiming their own agency and power. Do you share in that historical legacy? No? Then you have no right, reason, or claim to be participating in the reclamation of that term. NO you can not say the word nigga if you’re not black. WE ARE NOT WELCOME INTO ANY OF YOUR COMMUNITIES!!!!!!! NON-BLACK PEOPLE: A lot of you don’t allow your children to date black people (ESPECIALLY in the latinx community), kinky hair in spanish is literally called “pelo malo” (you take the word for word translation of that then tell me what that says) At the end of the day, NO it’s not just a “word.” Cause at the end of the day you still see us as NIGGERS. You clutch your bags when we walk pass, have security follow us around your stores, etc. We’re NOT welcomed in your communities so why the FUCK should we welcome y’all And not to mention (PERSONAL EXPERIENCE) the same people who say the word nigga because “it’s just a song” were the same to call my friends and I “dirty fucking niggers” when talking shit about us🥴 so for the love of God, leave that word ALONE if you’re not black. Stop making everything about yourselves. WE created the word and WE don’t feel comfortable with you guys using it so don’t tell US how the fuck we should feel about it.
