Help me with art decision paralysis!

Want to draw Dragon Age things. Specifically Veilguard Shenanigans. But I am utterly beset with ideas and having a hard time making choices.

i want to see more terrible mindflayer OCs, but canon evil mindflayer ocs, not just some half baked "this is the bad guy i used in my dnd game, he uuuh, can enthrall you". I want to see Abysmal Creed Illithid! I want the tormentors and torturers without a shred of empathy and who only form bonds with others of their kind out of convenience! Enthrallment is so surface level! Illithid can be and are so much worse! I'm all for good illithid but BG3 has 1) given us no lore about them at all and has shown that no one knows jack shit about them, and 2) has woobiefied/watered down the FUCK out of their species. their society sucks and illithid are a product of that! Canonically they can be any alignment but tend to be evil due to their society. Illithid have a growing up phase of 20-21 years and learn from their environment just as we do! Im kinda getting bored of "illithid is a victim of their elderbrain" I want to see a squid that revels in agony all on their own!! 99% of people who have any concept of Illithid think they only eat brains! They don't! they eat the whole person, their favorite parts are the organs and they eat them raw and who knows if they even kill the guy first!!!! Make Some Evil Squid Bitches! Been scouring the notes of the posts about @staff 's latest post, and apparently some Twitter refugees are indeed confused and not pleased that this is not Twitter and things work differently here.

But I can't fathom why that would be a reason to try and change the core functioning of Tumblr. When in Rome etc. How lazy is it to come to a new place and expect everything to be the same? Sure, it's okay to be confused and not like it, new things are always a little hard at first, after all. But how is that a reason to rush up to these users with reassurances and promises to overhaul everything for them?

When I went on Twitter I found it utterly baffling and quite hostile. And then I got used to it. I still don't like it, barely use it and only for the nsfw artists that had to leave here with the porn ban, but the point is I understand it, now. It wasn't at all less "difficult" to get a handle of than Tumblr is, these people are just confronted with something new.

I was lurking on Tumblr long before I took the leap and made an account. I was, even then, lurking for a long time before I started engaging and blogging in earnest. Had to understand the culture and unspoken rules first.

But everything must happen quick quick quick now, doesn't it? Things must be soft, pre-chewed, no effort required.

But things do take time and effort sometimes. It's not a bad thing to remember, not at all. It's just the way the universe works. Besides, others have made that point, but alienating a stable, dedicated user base in hopes of catering to a new, fickle one is objectively self-sabotage.
