this comic is inspired by bluenoisen’s beautiful post-s2 fancomic in which Ben is watching alongside us and also saw… what just happened.

tua s4 spoilers under the cut! sort of? I’ll tag it just in case.

Certainly, there were some moments I still liked about it, like the flashback to Ben’s actual death and the timeline subway as a concept and the itty bitty glimpse of alternate timelines we see. However, like many others here, I have some… notes (more sibling bonding, dangling plot threads, relationships that didn’t have time to be developed or deepened, or were unneeded at all, etc etc) and I would have preferred a happy ending for all our siblings.

However, I still love these characters and this world, and the best part about this show to me was always the creativity of the fans and the bond between the family. Though the show may be over now, I really hope the fandom just continues creating and supporting each others’ creations!! Fandoms don’t have to die completely, and I hope to continue loving these characters long after the show has ended. I know I’ll still be here doodling and writing and looking what everyone has to say. 😭😅

It’s a bit of freedom, isn’t it, knowing that the canon can just be ours now? :D

TL;DR this is the end of the beginning—and this fun little comic is just one of the ways a fix-it fic in my mind might go. Also, if you have WIPs waiting in the wings, please share! I’d love to read.
