He‘s back and torturing me with an overly complicated design. Color palette is rlly fun tho. Cool and warm greens + grey are like an invitation to purple to me. Also the arm??? So cool so awesome. I hope s3 treats him well.

Well the bed was added by Kay Hayes for the sake of this drawing. It's not a part of the background.

As for the rest, no, I don't think so. If a background is in black and white like this, it was usually a concept or study. If it was decided to use it for the final version of the episode, then it would have been up to the background artists to add color to it. (I have a lot of black and white backgrounds saved from when the area was just a concept.)

So, no, we don't have access to any colored pictures of Varian's bedroom, since it was never used in the series. I know you're not the only one who would have liked to have seen it, though.
