I’ve decided that Triscuit Shipping (N x Uzi x Thad) is canon in Time Traveler AU Thad’s Universe. To make it more heart wrenching and painful. smile.

(i started thinking way too hard about the au and i got all sad and then i was like. hey what if i made this so sad it would make me CRY. so i did)

So... Thad. Tell us. Just how 'human' is Match, if you know what I mean. Does any of Bad Dragon's lineup look a little familiar? 😏

Thad only manages to get out an embarrassed stuttering of, "I— I'm not— I wouldn't know tha—" before he's shoved out of the way, a flash of gold shines on the hand doing the shoving, and he tumbles over the back of the sofa while a potential future version of himself takes the place of where he was standing just moments before.

"I'm not—" The older version of Thad begins before glancing in the direction the very dazed present-day version of himself and then back to the anon, "We're not one's to kiss and tell, but seeing how there's no answering the question without present-day Thad embarrassing himself to death, I'll take the reins here. Just remember Match's mine, I'm just sharing some scientific facts. Though don't let Match know I said anything." He says before adding with a smirk, "Not that he has anything to be ashamed of."

He chuckles, "Heh, cute, anonymous, but honestly? You're not too far off the mark in your comparison. However, they certainly can't compare to Match in my personal opinion. His, ahem, equipment has a similar structural design to that of a cisgender human male, but there are apparent differences on a first look regarding aspects such as shape and texture. However," He flashes a smile at the anon, "those intimate details are for me to know and for you to never find out."

"Honestly, I'm more surprised you're not asking about his other differences. The prominent fangs. The unique vocalizations such as growling. Elevated temperature. And more." He raises his fingers one by one, "Kryptonians are incredibly fascinating."

Time Traveler AU Thad’s cool time traveling pod has a bunch of decorations in it; meaning all the old stuff from his room. How did he get them?

He stole from other versions of himself. Nah I’m kidding. He found Universes where he either dies in it or is just never able to return to Copper-9 and then stole stuff from those. Though it was never too much, y’know, just to be sure. Yeah his morality is a little shot but y’knooow. Shit happens.

Also! The pod has like a “spectation” feature where he can select a universe and a person and kinda watch past events from their perspective. He doesn’t do it often because he knows it’s an invasion of privacy, but he did use it like once or twice on Main Universe J and V because its really hard to place wtf happened to make them the way they are.

These Were Mistakes. He has never touched that feature since.

Okay, so first thing first, I am not a Doctor Who fan nor am I at all that familiar with its lore and the like, but one thing I do know is that the Doctor tends to have traveling friends, which gave me an idea: at one point or another TT!Thad just has a group of random variants of cast members from different timelines, like, Maid!J, AS Host!Khan, Doggo!N, DD!Uzi, and Mitchell (the one from canon, who was saved by TT!Thad at the last second), just all going on time travel adventures with TT!Thad.

HEHE THAT COULD BE SO SILLY. Ragtag group of adventurers. I like this idea a lot

I mentioned this au in the tags of a post like… Yesterday I think I don’t remember. Anyway.

In this AU, Thad’s universe had a bad ending, aka Solver managed to wipe out the whole universe.

Before the finale, Thad located this time machine thingy that looked like DD ships and taught himself to work it. During the finale, after Lizzy, Khan, and Nori died, Thad, V, N, and Uzi realized there was no winning. They started to flee toward the pod, fighting off solver; V gets killed on the way, but Uzi, N, and Thad make it to the pod. N and Uzi then realize that no one would make it out alive if they went with Thad. So while they were arguing, Uzi shoved her jacket and N’s hat logo at Thad, which shoved him in.

Thad stumbles back with a yelp, hitting his elbow on the emergency start button. The door slams and he panics, rushing forward and slamming his fists on the door, screaming and begging for them to come with him, to please don’t do this!

They turn back to him and smile. N starts to tear up. Uzi’s visor changes to text. “Survive. For us.” N’s visor also changes to text. “We’re sorry. And we’ll miss you.”

Thad begs, but the pod shakes, falling into his back as it takes off. He scrambles to his feet again, looking down at them.

He watches as Cynessa lunges at them and they’re consumed by dust. He sees oil splatter and heads fly. Yellow tendrils shoot out of the core of Copper 9 and at him. Moments before it reaches the pod, the pod enters hyperdrive, which knocks him out.

When he wakes up again, he tries to use the pod to go back to his universe, but it gives him an error message.

Yeah he’s not ok.

Anyway, all of that was 3 years ago. Here’s some extra info about the AU under the cut!

- He occasionally visits the og Universe, partly to rummage for scrap metal, partly to make sure it’s still healthy (if something bad happens to it, there goes the rest of the universes) and partly to hang with Uzi, V, and N. He physically cannot go near Lizzy because he will have a breakdown

- Hanging with the gang kind of hurts his heart but he’s coping it’s ok

- V and Uzi don’t fully trust him which also hurts but he fully understands it

- He taught himself a lot of skills like mechanics, engineering, coding, and some quantum physics, etc so he could repair himself and the pod

- Obviously, he goes around the universes saving others from total destruction like his, even if it does obstruct things. Moral dilemma pov u know how it is

- Oh also his upgrades make him 5’1

I was gonna draw V, Lizzy, and N’s lil design differences but i don’t have the motivation anymore, so I’ll write them.

TT! Thad’s OG Universe - SD-V

- Has the original red bandana/scarf from her concept art

- Permanent glasses

- Hair is longer, tied into a spikey bun

- “Fingerless gloves” on her normal drone hands

- Shorts, like the ones she wore in episode 4, except black and permanent

TT! Thad’s OG Universe - SD-N

- Back of hair looks more like a mullet cause it’s longer

- White T-shirt under jacket

- Gave the pilot hat logo to Uzi so she can put it on her beanie (i forgot to add that to her ref)

- Snaggleteeths

- Pilot “coat” thingy is slightly longer like a trench coat

TT! Thad’s OG Universe - Lizzy

- Instead of her hair all being up in a ponytail, she has a half up, half down look, and her ponytail isn’t as long. Medium length hair girlie

- Jacket that she wears off her shoulders so they rest around her elbows

- Streaks of pink in her hair

- Tights. don’t ask me how that works

- Obvious eyelashes added to her eyelights

- Not a physical change, but she’s slightly smarter than canon Lizzy. When she got Thad between Episodes 6 and 7, she gave him her hair ribbon, because she knew he is far more agile than she is. And she was right.

Impulsively started making a Time Traveller Thad AU playlist because I heard One (1) really fitting song ….. sigh. I’ll post it once I’m done with the TiTr! Thad AU comic thingy

Alright, now I’m not 100% sure how the time travel/universe hopping mechanics of your Time Traveler!Thad AU work (granted time travel always confuses me), but it has given me some ideas to share so I’m not complaining.

Anyway, I’m here to posit the idea of Thad traveling to a point in time/universe wherein he gets to meet and befriend N, V, J, Cyn, and Tessa before things go to hell. My general ideas are:

Thad, despite the pain and trauma he’s personally experienced at her hands, going out of his way to befriend Cyn and trying to talk her back from the brink to avert disaster in this universe.

Maybe playing a little bit of matchmaker/wingman to V and N, while also trying to bring out some of the more assertive and confident personality traits of their DD counterparts (basically like a character development speed run).

Helping J to break out of the shell she refuses to knowledge she has and realize the fact that Tessa isn’t the only person that cares for her (and she in turn cares about), with J slowly growing an attraction to the mysterious, tall, and conventionally attractive drone that’s giving her free therapy (I will inject Jhad wherever I see fit and you cannot stop me).

Tessa officially gains an unofficial big brother! I just really like the idea of the two hanging out in any universe and you cannot convince me Thad wouldn’t be down with helping Tessa commit casual grave robbery.

Finally comes the ultimate good that can be performed with time travel: making James and Louisa’s lives a waking nightmare and making it seem like they’re slowly going crazy over a “defective drone” that doesn’t even exist.

OOOH I LIKE THESE IDEAS. I can definitely see this being something he does when he first starts trying to save universes. I think after all of that is successful, he’ll go to that universe’s “present time” and come to realize that altering the past like that does actually have huge effects on the future like all the human sci-fi movies and shows say. Because, like.. I think Solver would end up leaving Cyn alone because of Thad’s meddling, so then it would choose a different host; a different drone, likely somewhere else, who had been abused by humans. I think the difference in this AU would be a different disassembly drone squad. I think he’d end up being really conflicted then. Could also lead to different drone(s) being infected, like someone other than Uzi, Nori, Doll, and Yeva. Or maybe instead of Nori and Yeva being the parents with the mutation, it’s Khan and Doll’s Dad, and Nori is the one who ends up “raising” Uzi.

Another fun fact, the pod Thad travels in has an AI, which he coded to sound and speak like Lizzy. He misses his sister ok. Anyway. When he goes to a new universe, it’ll give a short synopsis of what’s different. I’ll use @wildlionva’s Mercy Drones and Mansion AUs as examples

Mercy Drones; “In this universe, the human scientists were actually smart for once and created an ‘anti-virus’ program called the Mercy program. You, along with Lizzy and Alice, have this mutation.”

Elliott's Mansion AU; “In this universe, nothing goes wrong in the mansion; you and all of your friends and family end up in the Elliott’s manor as well, and your LED colors determine the job you do in the manor. Haha, you have to clean up trash, idiot.”

Yeah she’s kinda mean. The length of these synopses will change depending on how complex the AU is. Here’s an example of a less complex, and thus, shorter synopsis using my Late Solver Sam AU:

Late Solver Sam AU; “In this universe, Sam doesn’t die because Uzi thinks he’s infected with the solver even though he isn’t because she’s an idiot. Turns out, yes he is.”

I can’t think of any AUs I can use to show how much longer the synopsis’s can get but. yuh. whips and naenaes

Oh btw he calls the ship Liz, which is an acronym; Linear Interdimensional Zeta-shifter
