Well, let’s open this year by finally going over this 2019 release by Ariabl’eyeS. Rena and Luna sat this one out and instead the vocals are done by - Enji Kana - and she really performed stellarly as far as I can tell, though sadly it seems she’s been rather inactive ever since she collaborated on this album. A shame for sure, she seems to really be into these very trad japanese aesthetics, but I guess Ariabl’eyeS isn’t big enough to give someone a significant popularity bump. Still, rather than lament her hiatus let’s celebrate the excellent work she’s done, lyrics down below and see you all next time.

Disregard this little bit but Setsugetsuka is an idiom that would literally mean “Snow, Moon, Flowers”, yet more abstractly it’s supposed to represent the passing of the seasons, with Snow being winter, Moon being autumn, and Flowers being spring. An easy way to remember this if you’re into fire emblem is by remembering the routes in three houses (silver snow, azure moon and crimson flower), as the japanese name for the game is Fuukasetsugetsu(which means kind of the same thing as setsugetsuka, but longer). The game was named like that precisely in reference to this traditional expression, so I can’t see one without remembering the other lol.
