The Challenge Between Yukimaru and Amō

Character: Yukimaru | Amo Summary: So Ashihara's comment on the character profile says "Yukimaru once challenged Amo, who uses a Black Trigger, to a fight. They ended up becoming friends after that." How does it actually go? Notes: I try to imagine Yukimaru Vs. Amo right here.

In front of the solo rank war booths of Border HQ, the air buzzed with excitement. Yukimaru, a spirited 16-year-old, stood confidently, his eyes gleaming with eagerness. He had heard stories of Tsukihiko Amō, the notorious S-rank agent, and couldn’t resist the urge to challenge him.

Yukimaru: "Hey, Amō! I’ve heard you’re strong! How about a spar? I want to see how I stack up against you!"

Amō, lounging casually against a wall, lifted his head, a smirk playing on his lips. At 16, he was already recognized for his abilities but often felt stifled by opponents who didn’t challenge him.

Amō: "Alright, I’ll give you a shot..."

Yukimaru, fueled by adrenaline, launched himself forward with his dual Raygusts in a dazzling display of agility. He aimed to close the distance quickly, hoping to strike before Amō could unleash his devastating Black Trigger.

With a playful laugh, he unleashed a flurry of strikes, each move fueled by his youthful enthusiasm. Amō countered effortlessly, his Black Trigger allowing him to maneuver with grace and power, showcasing the experience that came with being an S-rank agent.

As the duel progressed, Yukimaru’s determination shone through. Despite the skill gap, he fought with heart, refusing to back down, which caught Amō's attention.

Amō: "Not bad. You've got guts. I like that."

Yukimaru: "I won’t let you use that blast on me!"

Am�� chuckled, unfazed. With a swift movement, he activated his Black Trigger, creating a shield of energy that absorbed the initial strikes from Yukimaru’s Raygusts. The force of Yukimaru’s attacks reverberated through the ground, causing dust to swirl around them.

Realizing the raw power Amō possessed, Yukimaru adjusted his tactics. He began to weave in and out, using the terrain to his advantage, trying to force Amō to use his blast in close quarters.

Yukimaru: "I’ve got to stay unpredictable!"

Yukimaru executed a series of feints, darting around Amō and striking from different angles. Amō, intrigued by the challenge, allowed himself to engage in a game of cat and mouse, using his Black Trigger defensively to counter Yukimaru’s attacks without fully unleashing its devastating potential.

As the fight escalated, Yukimaru saw an opening. He charged with a powerful strike, aiming directly for Amō’s core. In that moment, Amō felt the energy radiating from Yukimaru’s determination and skill. Instead of countering with his Black Trigger, he decided to test Yukimaru’s resolve.

Amō: "Show me what you’ve got."

Yukimaru poured everything he had into that strike, and for a brief moment, the energy of their two powers clashed. Amō, impressed by Yukimaru's tenacity, finally released a controlled burst from his Black Trigger—not a full nuclear blast, but enough to create a shockwave that sent Yukimaru tumbling back with his dual raygusts, yet unharmed.

Panting and exhilarated, Yukimaru landed on his feet, a wide grin spreading across his face.

Yukimaru: "That was awesome! You really know how to hold back and keep it exciting!"

Amō, with his usual blank stares, nodded in agreement.

Amō: "You’ve got potential, Yukimaru."

Yukimaru: "That was incredible! You’re on another level!"

Amō: "You’re not half bad either. You fight with heart, and that’s rare. I could use someone like you around."

As Yukimaru caught his breath, a newfound respect blossomed between them. They realized that, while their powers were vastly different, their shared passion for battle and growth connected them on a deeper level.

With a firm handshake, both 16-year-old warriors found respect and camaraderie in each other, motivated to grow stronger together, sharing laughter and light-hearted banter as they prepared for future challenges.

I was pretty sure Chika could shoot. I think Hyuse was the final push she needed. She shot because she needed to protect her teammates, and that was most important for her.

I wish they would get custom triggers cuz everyone in Tamakoma 1 has one and it would be god damn cool seeing that for the young uns. How do they get into A rank again?

That fist bump could definitely be used as a flashback even though I can’t see Ashihara giving Hyuse visible feelings. 

also remember Tsukihiko Amo? The other S rank who leveled an entire area of the forbidden zone? We didn’t get much information on him before and maybe he’ll play a part going forward? Or maybe Ashihara just forgot about him.
