he can't feel it anymore. really, the countless fists and kicks bruising into his body don't even hurt anymore. shibaman had long since passed out, merely groaning in his sleep as he's hit continuously. tsuji can barely turn his head to check on his friend, make sure he's still breathing, at least.

"don't you think that's enough?" like an angel beaming down on him, tsuji hears your voice. his shattered glasses reflect the image of you with your arms crossed. "are you trying to kill them? that's illegal, shoji. you want to leave me and spend your life in jail?"

your brother looks at you incrediously, "i'm not doing anything to them, am i?"

you roll your eyes at him, "right. you just give the orders." gesturing to the two bodies on the ground, you simply stare him down. "so, order them."

shoji stares at you before clicking his tongue. you were like your mother in that way - able to get him to do anything with just one look. "yeah, alright. that's enough! time to leave."

"but-"

your brother is quick to grab the boy by his collar, cutting off his protest with a choke. "we wanted to send a message. message sent. let's go."

retreating footsteps cause tsuji to relax. he waits for the pain to hit him - for darkness to greet him and take him away for just a second. as he turns his head, he sees polished, pristine shoes.

you look down at him with a frown. shoji stands a distance away, not saying a word as he watches you place a mediocre first aid kit between the two. "sorry," you mumble, "i wish i could stop them. rest well and heal, hm?"

"name, let's go!"

tsuji repeats your name in his head until he falls unconcious. he'd remember you - your kindness and the hold you have on your brother. name, he'd remember you, and the angel you were.

Fujio: You kidding? This dude lives to give you any sort of nickname he can. “Cutie” is his cheeky go-to that he likes to call you. Sometimes he’ll use “Chief” if he wants to be a goof. Also, any version of your actual name that he can come up with.

Tsukasa: Your name… Don’t expect much else. He thinks petnames are a bit weird.

Jamuo: “My Heart and My Soul” or “My Steamed Dumpling”… There’s no rhyme or reason; you can never tell which it’ll be.

Yasushi: “Little Duck.” It started out as something he said to be annoying, but somehow it ended up sticking. Now even his goons call you “The Duckling.” Great.

Kiyoshi: “Honey,” “Cupcake,” “Plum”… Notice a trend here? You’re subject to being anything that is ‘sweet.’

Nakagoshi: “Babe,” he’s basic. Might be “Baby” if he’s feeling a bit soft or sentimental.

Nakaoka: Also “Babe,” also basic. Sometimes he thinks he’s real funny and will call you “Stink.”

Shibaman: The whole petname thing makes him feel a bit shy and awkward… He’s started absentmindedly calling you “My One” on the occasion, though. If you want him to keep doing it, don’t point it out.

Tsuji: “Darling.” Though, this tends to be something he says more within the privacy of just the two of you. He doesn’t really say it around other people. Maybe sometimes around Shiba and Todoroki, maybe.

Motoaki: “Cutiepie.” He just can’t help it, because he thinks you’re just so stinkin’ cute. Will call you this around anyone, anytime, he doesn’t care. (I think you give him mild cuteness aggression.)

Sachio: “My Love,” always said very softly and with the gentlest of smiles. It took him awhile to get to the point of calling you this, but now he uses it just as often as your own name.

Yuken: “Princess,” which he started out by calling you this ironically, but turns out he actually has trouble saying ‘no’ to you, so the name is fitting.

Eimei: “Apple,” aka “Apple of My Eye.” You’ve kind of all-consumed him, honestly.

Arata: Nope. Too embarrassing; he’s too shy. Just the thought is enough to make him keel over.

Amagai: Almost always your unaltered name. Randomly, though, it’ll be “Bug”… and it’s impossible to tell if he’s saying it affectionately or not.

Ryo: Though he’s a bit shy about it, he does call you “Angel” in private. He accidentally called you that in front of Amagai once and got laughed at, so now it stays between the two of you.

Mario: “Treasure.” And he doesn’t mind calling you this in front of anyone either (because he knows they’re too scared to make fun of him for it). Also, he’s just really proud to show off the fact that you’re his.

Sameoka: 99% of the time he’ll only refer to you by your name. But, during the occasion that he’s in a really, really affectionate mood, he might call you “Love.”

Fujin: “Doll” will basically become a replacement for your name. Does he even remember that you have a name? Who knows, you’re “Doll” at this point.

Binzo: “Kitty”… not “Kitten,” but “Kitty.” He’s a little confused, but he’s got the spirit. Also, if you call him any petnames, he’ll call you the same ones in return, whatever it may be.

As Long as You're Happy

Pairing: Tsuji x fem!reader x Shibaman

“Leave me alone Tsuji. You can’t take that back and you can’t hide it anymore. We’re done. Take your girl and leave me alone.” 

You had gone to a local coffee shop after school before heading to the library to wait for your boyfriend Tsuji. When you walked into the shop, you were greeted with the most unpleasant surprise. Tsuji, your now ex boyfriend, with his arm around another girl, whispering in her ear something to make her obviously blush. As soon as the door opened, and the bells hanging from the frame jingled, there was no turning back. When he heard the bells, he turned around to see a mix of emotions on your face. Shock, hurt, anger, all of it unable to be hidden. Shock took over his expressions as well, though you were so overtaken with emotions, you can’t recall what he had said to you. All you knew was that you had to get out of there as fast as you could. If there was one thing you would never let him see, it was that he made you cry. 

Walking back out of the shop, you round the corner and immediately take off running, tears now falling from your eyes. When you have to stop to catch your breath, you find that you have gone all the way to Oya High, undoubtedly the last place you want to be. Not that you know many people there, but one of the other two people that you happen to know is standing out front. When he sees you, he hesitates to approach you, seeing the tears running down your cheeks, despite your attempts to hide your current emotional state.

When you finally make eye contact with him, you take off running again before he can make his way to you. Running and running, you kept going till you couldn't go anymore. Sitting on a park bench in front of an empty kiddy swing, you finally give yourself time to breathe, and think about all of the events that have happened within the last half hour. Confusion, anger, sadness, even self doubt, are all of the emotions running through your mind. Consumed with emotions, you didn't hear the person walking up behind you. Lightly, the mystery person places their hand on your shoulder, startling you out of your hunched position on the park bench.

“Y/n, i'm sorry I didn't mean to scare you, but why are you crying?” the deep voice making you freeze, you never thought that Shibaman would have followed you, especially after running away like you did earlier.

“Shibaman? I'm fine, I just needed to think for a minute.” You reply, wiping away the tears and mascara running down your cheeks.

“You're clearly not okay, y/n, please, tell me what happened.”

Hesitating to answer, you know that Shibaman is one of the few people that you can trust, but this is his best friend, and just because your relationship is ruined, you don't want to ruin their friendship too. Despite that, the tears returned, and you told him everything that you saw, everything that you said, and everything that led up to your current situation.

Without another word, Shibaman walks to you and pulls you into a hug. Holding you tightly, you feel an odd sense of comfort from him. Crying into his shirt, he never moved away from you, simply holding you close to him, and letting you release the emotions building up from within. After, he offered, more so insisted, on walking you home, comfortable in the silence, only talking when you wanted to. He knows you and he knows that when you are upset, you need your time to think, but still that is not something he is willing to risk your safety for. Arriving home, he walks you to the door, and pulls you in for one last hug.

“Don't worry y/n, everything will be alright. I won't let him or anyone else hurt you again.” With that, you expressed your approval by hugging him tighter, as if that was even possible. Returning inside, you spend the rest of the night ignoring calls and texts from Tsuji, ultimately leading you to turn your phone off completely. 

The next day, you woke up, and turned your phone back on. Tons of voicemails and text messages from Tsuji flooded your notifications. You were about to turn your phone off again when you saw one from Shibaman.

Hey y/n. I’m sure you turned your phone off so that Tsuji would stop blowing you up (i don't blame you), maybe tomorrow we can go somewhere fun? Get your mind off of things? Let me know what you think!

For some reason, that message itself made you forget about everything else. Almost bringing a smile to your face, almost. Replying that you were down to go somewhere fun, you were surprised when he answered immediately, saying that he was on the way to pick you up. Quickly getting ready, you put on an oversized tee shirt and jeans, with a pair of white converse, and make your way to the living room with anticipation to see where the day leads you. 

That was the first of many “hang outs” with Shibaman. He took you to your favorite coffee shop, obviously not the one where misfortune struck, but the one you treat yourself to on the weekends. After that the day was spent at a local arcade, and then a park to end the day. It became a weekly thing for the two of you to hang out, and it always felt like more of a date than the ones that Tsuji took you on. Yes, he would take you on dates, but sometimes it just felt off. Slowly, you begin to realize that your feelings for Shibaman are becoming romantic.

How could I have been so stupid? I mean, she was amazing. She was everything I've ever wanted, and I hurt her. How could I hurt her? God I want her back.

Tsuji’s thoughts spiral through his head, unable to allow him to focus on anything. He's in the middle of a fight, and all he can think about is you. Three months after he got caught, and he desires you more and more each day. He wants to  make things right, but how can you fix a situation like this? He wants to talk to you, and show you how much he loves you. How much he will always love you. He knows that Shibaman hangs out with you often, however, he is not aware of the feelings that are developing. He appreciates Shibaman for looking after you, especially knowing that he is the one that hurt you, he trusts that Shibaman will take care of you. However, he is too focused on thoughts of you to think about the possibilities that could come of that. 

“Shibaman, I think I'm going to talk to y/n tonight. I don't know how, or if she will even let me, but I have to talk to her. I have to tell her that I still love her.”

“Don't you think you've done enough? She cried herself to sleep countless times. You're the one who cheated on her, you have to deal with the consequences. But stop hurting her. Let her heal.” Shibaman retorts, having had enough of Tsuji’s antics.

“I just want her to know that I care about her. I need her to know that I will never forgive myself for what I did.” 

“Enough is enough Tsuji. She needs to heal, and the only way she can do that is if you leave her alone.” Standing, Shibaman scoffs at his friend, disappointment evident on his face. “Let her be Tsuji. She doesn't want to hurt anymore. Seeing you wont allow her to heal. Don't go see her tonight, for her sake.” With that, the boy walks away, over with the conversation.

It's been five months since you and Tsuji broke up. Finally, you feel that your heart is healing. Finally, you feel happiness again. But still, there is something about seeing Shibaman that just makes your heart flutter. Has this always happened? How have I not noticed this before? Your thoughts rolling through your head, as you see Shibaman waiting outside of your school building for you. As you walk closer to him, panic starts to set into your stomach.

“Hey Shiba.” You say with a gentle smile.

“Hey y/n! How was your day?”

“It was okay, but I dont think I'll be able to hang out tonight, I have a ton of work that I have to get done for tomorrow.” you bluntly reply, to which Shibaman is taken back by. Never have you canceled on hanging out. 

“What happened? We always hang out after school? Something must have happened.” He says, concern starting to fill his voice. 

“Nothing happened, I just have a lot of work tonight.”

“Okay, why don't we go to a coffee shop, and we can work on it together?” 

Thinking, you agreed, knowing that no matter what you say he will come to some sort of solution that involves the two of you spending time together. A battle that you would lose. 

Sitting at the coffee shop, Shibaman takes half of the work that you have to do, and gets busy right away. Reluctant to let him help, he proves that he is actually great at the things that you are needing help with, after he shows you one completed assignment that did not have any mistakes on it. 

Something about that makes the butterflies in your stomach come to life. Everything about him makes you feel safe. He makes you feel more appreciated than anyone else. Before you know it… 

“I like you…” you blurted out, breaking the silence between the two of you.

“What?”

“I'm sorry… forget I said anything. Thank you for helping me…”

Without another word, Shibaman pulls you in for a passionate kiss. In front of the entire coffee shop, he pulls you in and shows everyone that you are his girl. Everyone, including Tsuji. 

“You're mine, pretty girl.” He says, earning a shocked smile from you.

The rest of the night is spent completing your work, walking around town, and finally watching the sunset atop of a small hill, with the most perfect view. A rather late notice date, but an amazing one, nonetheless.

“How could you? Whatever happened to bro code?”

“Don't even think about bringing up anything like that after you cheated on her! You made sure that if anyone was going to support her after that, that it would be me. I can't help it any more than you can. But I am not going to give her up. You are the one who hurt her, and I was the one who picked her up when she was down. If you wouldn't have cheated on her this would have been different.” 

“My own best friend, stealing my girl from me.” “She's not yours anymore. You lost her when you went messing around with other people. She's my girl now. Either you can get over that or let it get between us. That choice is up to you.” 

The boys are now battling for you, without you even knowing. At the end of the day, they both know that if they're gonna survive Oya High, they  have to do it together. Coming to an agreement, they decide that you will never be a topic of discussion between them. Leaving the school to head to their respective homes, Tsuji is left heartbroken. Not at the fact that his best friend is now dating the love of his life, but that he was foolish enough to hurt you in the first place. He knows that none of this is your fault, and he wants to tell you that, but the last thing that he wants to do is hurt you again, so he keeps his distance. 

Every now and then he sees you out with Shibaman. He sees your smile, hears your laugh, and it brings all of the memories he has of the two of you back to him. His heart breaks over and over, but he knows that you are happy, and that's all that matters to him. All he has ever wanted was for you to be happy. Even if he is left with all of the memories of you two together. Even if he is the one with the broken heart. None of it matters as long as you are happy.

i love how everyone in junji ito's stories are so accepting of the messed up shit going on around them tbh. oshikiri's newfound friends immediately accepting that there might be a portal to an alternate dimension in his house, seeing oshikiri's other self bury THEIR other selves' in the yard and being spooked but still helping him re-bury the bodies bc they know he wouldn't hurt them in this reality, "aw shit our daughter has a slug for a tongue now i guess"-- the list goes on, lmao

Especially I wonder how Ayatsuji and Ranpo's dynamic would be. Would they compete over who's the best dedective? lol and at the same time I suppose Tsujimura and Atsushi would relate to each other haha

I don’t get people who say MM’s music isn’t good. They’ve had bangers for a while but the members aren’t compelling enough to pull it off. Suggoi Fever could’ve been a hit if we had voices like 2003 Morning Musume in the group instead of the nasally mess we ended up with. SaiKIYOU had all the makings of a hit and would’ve become a classic if there were punchy members like 2001-2002 Maki, 2003-2004 Tsuji, 2005-2008 Reina, 2012-2014 Riho or 2015-2017 Maa. It just wasn’t compelling with the leads they chose. Mukasuki! would’ve been legendary if we had voices like Aibon, Eririn or Konno in the group. Could you imagine? The current lineup’s balance and composition in terms of voice and skill isn’t great so even the most amazing song will come out half baked. None of the members are “bad” but you can truly tell UFA isn’t thinking about what voices sound together or what the group is missing.

Wrestle Dynasty preview

Half of this card is effectively a spoiler for last night's show, so watch out for spoilers.

Also, I thought this show was going to overlap with AEW Collision, but it looks like Collision airs 8-10pm EST, and the Wrestle Dynasty pre-show starts at 10pm EST. So unless AEW does a big overrun, it's fine!

Zack Sabre Jr. vs. Ricochet - Sabre is defending the IWGP world title. On November 4, both Shota Umino and Ricochet challenged Sabre for the belt. Last night, Zack took care of Shota, and now it's Ricochet's turn. Ricochet grew up in Paducah; I'm guessing this is the first time anyone from Kentucky has ever headlined the Tokyo Dome.

Cagematch lists seven singles bouts between these two, between 2013 and 2017. Sabre leads the series with four wins, but Ricochet won their last three encounters. Of course, that was all before Sabre joined NJPW full-time, and Ricochet signed with WWE. Both men are older and wiser today, but the fundamentals of the matchup haven't changed--it's a noodly grapply guy versus a speedy flippy guy.

Over in AEW, Ricochet has been trying real hard to be a contemptible jackass, to the point that fans pelted him with toilet paper in the Hammerstein Ballroom. It's not clear if the New Japan crowd will be as hostile to him. (For example, Konosuke Takeshita would get booed in the US just for bringing Don Callis out with him, but last night nobody in Japan seemed to mind.) I'm curious if Ricochet will try to work as a heel, or if he'll just go whichever way the crowd leads him.

It would be remarkable if Sabre drops the title tonight, less than 24 hours after crushing Umino's dreams. But I just don't see it happening. Putting the IWGP world belt on an AEW guy is a cool idea, but they just did it last year with Jon Moxley, and Ricochet is no Jon Moxley. I expect Sabre to retain here, and take the world title to San Jose against Hechicero, and Osaka against (presumably) Hirooki Goto.

Gabe Kidd vs. Kenny Omega - Kidd is the STRONG men's champion, but the title isn't on the line in this match. This is Omega's first match since December 5, 2023; ten days after that, he announced he had been hospitalized for diverticulitis.

To hype his in-ring return, Kenny did a media tour in Japan a couple of months ago. In an interview he was asked about up-and-coming NJPW wrestlers and namedropped "Greg Kidd." Gabe's whole character is being a fucking psycho with a short fuse, so you can imagine how well he took that. When Omega appeared on the November 4, show, they staged a backstage fight with Kidd, and at that point you knew this match had to happen.

Omega is a big draw for New Japan, and knows how to build himself up as a "final boss" type that shouldn't lose. That being said, Kidd reacts to everything like a soccer hooligan with rabies after you cut him off in traffic, and that energy is enough to make me think he can punch above his weight against anyone. Like, Kenny is going to do his big Final Fantasy entrance and show of his finesse and Gabe is going to fucking throw a chair at his mouth.

The fun thing with Kidd is that, even when his psycho brawling seems to be overwhelming his opponent, his rage and pride work against him, and he makes mistakes that cost him the match. If he ever learns to control that, he'll be unstoppable, but we're years away from that happening. Ordinarily I'd say Omega would be able to weather the storm for a surefire victory. But if Kidd hits Omega RIGHT IN THE DIVERTICULITIS~! (and they've made it clear that will happen), then there's a logical way for Kenny to put Gabe over. As far as I'm concerned, this match is too close to call.

Yota Tsuji vs. Jack Perry - Tsuji won the IWGP global title last night, so this is his first defense. This match was made weeks ago, when Perry laid out Tsuji on November 8. I guess Perry is mad that he didn't win the New Japan Cup, and Tsuji did? Or maybe Jack sees Tsuji as the kind of smiling popular babyface that he used to try to be. It probably doesn't matter.

Perry has been absent from AEW ever since he lost the TNT championship. It is implied, but not directly stated, that he has joined his cohorts Matt and Nick Jackson in hiding, "working from home" to avoid a run-in with Jon Moxley's Death Riders. This match might give us some insight into what's next for the little guy, but I sort of doubt it.

Giving Perry the win wouldn't be a bad thing, except Tsuji literally just won the title, after two years of half-assed stop-start pushes. I need Yota to just win for a few months, dammit. Even though Jack's whole deal is spoiling everything, I choose to believe this will be like the scene in Jurassic Park where they feed the goat to the T. rex.

Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson vs. Great-O-Khan & Jeff Cobb vs. Tetsuya Naito & Hiromu Takahashi - This is a three-way tag team match for the vacant IWGP heavyweight tag team title. So each team gets a corner, and only two men can legally be in the ring. Anyone from any team can tag one of the legal men to get into the match. The first man to score a pinfall or submission on any opponent will win the match and the title for his team.

Weeks ago, the Young Bucks (Matt and Nick) declared their intention to win the tag title on this show. At the time, it wasn't even clear who they'd be challenging for the title, since World Tag League was still in progress, and everybody expected the winners of that tournament to challenge for O-Khan and HENARE for the title on January 4. Then New Japan just announced O-Khan & HENARE vs. the Bucks on this show, as if World Tag League and Wrestle Kingdom were irrelevant.

Then Henare was injured, so the champs had to pull out of the tournament and vacate the belts. Naito and Hiromu won World Tag League and decided not to challenge for the tag title at all, I guess? So we ended up with O-Khan and a mystery partner versus the Bucks. Then, less than 24 hours before this match, Khan revealed Cobb as his partner, and challenged Naito and Hiromu to join the match and make it a three-way. Okay? Why didn't they just make it a three-way last month? I don't understand.

If any AEW talent on this show is going to win a New Japan title tonight, I think the Bucks make the most sense. I like O-Khan and Cobb but there's no reason to think they're so special that they need to win this match; I'm not even sure why they're here expect to get them on the show. Naito and Hiromu would be fun as the tag champs, but if that was the plan they sure tried real hard to act like nobody came up with that plan until the last minute. So I have no idea who the favorites are in this one. Welp, when in doubt, pick the Bucks to win.

Konosuke Takeshita vs. Tomohiro Ishii - Ishii is challenging for the NEVER title and the AEW international championship. For weeks the build to this weekend has been Takeshita vs. Shingo Takagi, winner take all, on January 4, and then the winner goes on to defend against Ishii. I like Ishii a lot, but having him waiting for two top champions to fight over which one gets to fight him seems odd. Clearly the goal was for Takeshita to fight two heavy-hitting mean guys, one right after the other, but they couldn't just say that without giving away the outcome of the Takagi match. This should be fun, but there's no way Ishii is going to beat Takeshita.

Shota Umino vs. Claudio Castagnoli - Jon Moxley sent a video in to New Japan, where he explained that Claudio was coming to this show to send Shota a "message." Reading between the lines, Mox mentored Umino for years in New Japan, but now Mox is a supervillain in AEW, so it stands to reason he's pissed that Umino is a babyface that wouldn't approve of Mox's war on "complacency." The bottom line is that Castagnoli is here to beat the fuck out of Shota. Umino has been working through an ankle injury and he's 24 hours removed from a huge loss to Zack Sabre. He'll be dead meat if he doesn't pull himself together, and I'm not confident that he can.

It feels like the long-term direction is to set up Moxley vs. Umino, but if they don't want to do it here, in the Tokyo Dome, I can't believe they're going to do it any time soon. It's conceivable that Claudio will "convince" Shota to see things Mox's way and align with the Death Riders. But the safer bet is that Shota will remember his principles and valiantly defeat the bad guy for all the kids out there.

David Finlay vs. Brody King - Brody called out Finlay weeks ago, before we knew this wasn't going to be an IWGP global title match. Without the belt this feels like it's just sort of there, although I like both guys and I love the idea of them savagely beating the piss out of each other. Now that Finlay has put over Yota Tsuji, there's less of a need to protect him, so King might just be able to put him away and send him further into a downward spiral. On the other hand, if Finlay was going to lose here, I think AEW would have sent a bigger name to beat him. I think this could go either way.

Mercedes Mone vs. Mina Shirakawa - This is a double title match. Shirakawa is defending the RevPro British women's title, which was unified with the Queen of Southside title in 2023, so that's why she carries two belts for one championship. Mone is putting the STRONG women's title on the line, but the AEW TBS title is not involved. Basically, if Mercedes wins she gets all of the belts, but if Mina wins she will only get one of Mone's belts.

Mercedes has been on a roll lately with two great bouts against Kris Statlander, and an even better match against Hazuki. I figure there's no reason this match can't be on that level. Then again, being the third match on the main card works against them--I can't picture the bookers giving them 20-30 minutes to steal the show. I could see this match going either way, but my gut says it's about time for Mone to drop some of her hardware, and there may never be a better place to do it than in the Tokyo Dome.

Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Katsuyori Shibata - This match was made last night, when Shibata did a run-in to save Tanahashi from the House of Torture. Twenty years ago, Tana, Shibata, and Shinsuke Nakamura were dubbed the "New Musketeers," and they lived up to the hype by leading New Japan into its glory years. Now Tana is kicking off his retirement tour, and Shibata wants one last match.

If people act like they thought they'd never see this match again, that's because they almost didn't. During a 2017 match, Shibata suffered a nearly fatal hematoma in his brain due to his brutal headbutts. His career looked to be over, but he returned for a pair of exhibition grappling matches in late 2021 and early 2022. In the second match, he appeared to go into business for himself and demanded a normal match, and I'm still not sure if that was just part of the show. Either way, it seemed like New Japan benched Shibata, and it felt like he had to go to AEW/ROH to resume even a part-time in-ring career.

This is the kind of match where sentiment is more important than who should go over. I could see Tana putting over the guy who's not retiring, or Shibata doing the honors so Tana can celebrate with the crowd. It really makes no difference what they do here.

Lucha gauntlet match - This is supposed to be an eight-man gauntlet, so two men will start the match and each additional man will enter at one-minute intervals. The match can end before all the participants have entered, but I'm guessing it won't. All we know about the participants is that four will be from the NJPW roster, and four will be coming in from CMLL. Dave Meltzer reported that most of the top names in CMLL are booked in Mexico, and only a handful of key guys would be available for this match. So I guess maybe Hechicero might be here, but it seems far more likely that we're getting four NJPW midcarders and four CMLL midcarders.

This match clearly exists to give us a hot opener for the main card, and to justify putting the CMLL logo on the advertising. Other than that, nothing about the match matters. I think a CMLL guy should win, but that's hard to say for sure when I don't even know who's in the match.

Dustin Rhodes & Sammy Guevara vs. SHO & Yoshinobu Kanemaru - This is scheduled as the second kickoff match. The Sons of Texas (Rhodes and Guevara) are defending the ROH tag team title. This is Sammy's first match in the Tokyo Dome; Dustin was last here in 1993, about six months before Sammy was born. Sho and Nobu are obviously in this match to put the champs over.

Athena vs. Willow Nightingale vs. Persephone vs. Momo Watanabe - This is set to be the opening match in the kickoff. This is a four-way match, and the final of the International Women's Cup tournament. Whoever scores the first pinfall or submission over any opponent will win the match. Athena's ROH women's world championship is not at stake.

The winner will earn a title shot, apparently for any women's championship available in New Japan, AEW, CMLL, Stardom, ROH, and maybe RevPro for all I know. I'd say Athena is the heavy favorite, but I don't know what she needs with a title shot. Willow would be my pick, although that's without knowing much about Watanabe or Persephone. So I expect this match to surprise me one way or another.

“I KNOW YOU WANNA DISTANCE YOURSELF FROM ME!”

calloused, rough hands trail up your thighs. tsuji’s lips follow, an agonizingly slow act that has you squirming in shibaman’s lap. the former laughs, his chest vibrating against your back and being muffled by your neck.

“so sensitive,” tsuji clicks his tongue before using it to lap at your skin. shibaman laughs again, his grin teasing as he nips at your throat. shiba hums, “how sweet.”

your whine is cut off by the classroom door opening. freezing, three pairs of eyes meet a scowling todoroki. you blink the bliss away, trying to leave your fuzzy headspace long enough to ask why he looked so upset.

“we had a deal,” todoroki says roughly. tsuji rolls his eyes, resting his cheek on your knee. todoroki seethes at the contact, “name is to stay out of oya — to stay out of trouble.”

shibaman blinks up innocently as he places a gentle kiss to your neck once more. “name’s always in trouble, though.”

tsuji laughs, biting at your left thigh teasingly. you yelp before locking eyes with todoroki again — he can scowl all he wants, but his hidden desires still linger in his eyes.

pouting dramatically, you hold a hand out towards him. “you’ll join us, won’t you, ‘roki?”

he huffs, pushing his glasses up before his shoes click towards you. “hate that name,” is all he says before his lips meet yours.

• I think Cobra is definitely someone who will teach his sister to fight. He'll teach her simple fighting techniques without hurting her, and he'll want to make sure she's protecting herself.

• I think he is a very loving and calm brother.  Although he cannot show his love with words, he shows it with his overprotective side.

• I think his sister will be calm like him but more lively person

• A smart, strong and calm young girl

• I imagine she'll get along well with Murayama. I am sure that as Murayama's sweet little sister, she will visit him in Oya.

•  He is not someone who is afraid to show his love. Although he looks scary, he is quite soft with his lil sister.

•  Considering Tsuji and Shiba are musical geniuses, I imagine the young girl will meet the duo during her new album shopping with Koo-san.

•  Koo will watch them from afar, but will not interrupt.

• After talking really long time with Tsuji and Shiba about a new music album, she will realize that their musical tastes are very similar and they will become friends.

•  He is not one to show his love with words, but he shows it with little jokes and small but meaningful gifts.

•  A crazy but smart sister... She likes to fight strategically

•  I can imagine she's a little cocky too

•  She'll probably meet Todoroki one day when she visits her older brother. She won't understand what a smart boy like him doing here, and she'll start to be interested in him.

•  Over time, the trio will get along better and y/n will invite them to the Daruma region...

The Next Day

You wake up the next morning, still smiling from the night before. Laying in bed, you think of his words to you, “I love you”. You can’t stop thinking about those words, and how deeply happy Tsuji makes you feel. Thinking about all of the dates that the two of you have been on, all of the conversations the two of you have had, even silently thanking Hyuga for sending you to the market alone that day.

Hyuga?! Oh no, he’s gonna scream at me for sneaking out… you thought to yourself. After a few minutes of contemplation, you decided to get the lecture over with, rather than to prolong the outcome. Whatever happens, whatever Hyuga says, there is not a single trace of regret in your heart. For once, you were happy to break the rules. Happy that you did what you wanted to do. Happy that your boyfriend convinced you to step out of your comfort zone, even for one night.

Removing yourself from the bed, you start your morning routine. Getting dressed, washing your face, brushing your teeth, the usual. After you are leaving your bathroom to go and cook breakfast,you are stopped by a figure standing at your door. Hyuga. He looks oddly calm considering the events from the night before.

“Hey Hyuga” you said quietly, turning your gaze from his stare

“Y/n, we need to talk about last night. Please, sit down.” His calm demeanor is sending chills down your spine. Sitting on the edge of the bed, he joins you, fiddling with his own hands.

Why is he the nervous one, that’s supposed to be me? And why is he so calm right now? Your thoughts rolling through your mind as silence fills the room. But before you can say anything, he beats you to it.

“I’m sorry, y/n.” He said quietly looking down to the ground. Shock takes over your mind, knowing that hearing an apology from Hyuga is one of the rarest things from him.

“I’m sorry for keeping you from doing things that you want to do. I didn't realize that was what was happening, I thought that I was protecting you. You're the only real family that I have left, I just didn't want anything bad to happen to you, but I shouldn’t have gone as far as I did.” He continues, still gazing at the floor. “I’m not particularly happy that you snuck out, but I don't really blame you for it either. But I’m sorry that I made you feel like you couldn't come to me directly.”

“Hyuga, it's okay. I know that you just want me to be safe, I’m sorry for sneaking out and being so reckless. You’ve been nothing but the best big brother to me. So thank you.” You knew if you didnt say something he would continue rambling on. With your words, the tension in the air fell, and things felt normal again. He pulled you into a hug and ruffled your hair a little bit, showing that he loves and cares for you.

As the two of you stand to exit the room, he becomes slightly tense again, and you know immediately, he’s thinking about the arrival of Tsuji. Honestly, you were nervous too. When it comes to outsiders, Hyuga is either dismissive, or he is beating them up. You are hoping, praying, that he will see how happy you are, and not kick your boyfriend's teeth in, but at the same time, you don't want him to be dismissive. You and your kind heart are hoping that everyone can get along, without any awkward tension.

Walking out of the room, everyone is standing there waiting to give you a comforting hug. They all want you to know that even with what happened the night before, they still love you and want to protect you. After being smashed with all of the hugs, you are finally able to start making breakfast for everyone, to which you earned a loud cheer of praise for, something that is part of the morning routine, yet it still shocks you sometimes.

About an hour after breakfast, you receive a text from Tsuji.

Tsuji: Good morning my love, I’m on my way

Y/n: Okay darling, be safe, see you when you get here

With that one message, your heart starts racing, though you can’t tell if it is excitement to see him, or nerves that someone is going to hurt him.

“When will he be here?” Hyuga questions, lowering his voice in a way that frightens you a little.

“Soon, he's on his way now.” You replied quietly, unable to hide the nerves that are coursing through you. A small hum from Hyuga, and he disappears into the meeting room, with everyone following behind him. You know that he wants to intimidate Tsuji, which is why he has left open all of the doors, leading directly to the meeting room, and locked any other in sight. He told you to wait somewhere else, and not to greet him, but wait somewhere for when they are done talking. Naturally, you make your way to the garden, your favorite place to go when everyone else is talking.

Tsuji’ s POV

Well I made it, here we go…

Finally, he made it to the Daruma Family House. He’s not so nervous about talking to Hyuga, more so about not messing up and getting on his bad side. Tsuji is optimistic that he will be able to express the love that he feels for y/n, and win the approval of Hyuga. But this is Daruma, you never know what will happen. Rivaling gangs meeting could either end well, or really bad. There is no in between.

Walking up the stairs, Tsuji does his best to keep his confidence, and refuses to let anyone see the nerves that he is feeling. As the gates open, he can already see Hyuga sitting in a large room, as the entire walkway is lined with the Daruma Family. Tsuji keeps his composure as he walks forward, only looking at Hyuga. As he enters the room, the doors close behind him with a loud bang, yet Tsuji is still unfazed. Well, on the outside at least. He takes a seat in front of Hyuga, and silence fills the room.

“So. You and my sister huh? I’m guessing it was your idea for her to sneak out?”

“Yes it was. I apologize for that, I should have talked to you directly in the first place.”

“So you thought that sneaking around with my sister was a good idea? What if she had gotten into trouble, or if she had gotten hurt? Then you should have too I suppose. All I want to know is why. Why her?” Everyone can tell what Hyuga intention with this question is. He doesn’t mean it in a negative way, more so, he wants to know if Tsuji is good enough for his sister. He wants to know if he is going to take care of his sister the way that he knows she deserves to be taken care of.

“Why am I with your sister? Because she makes me happy. And I don't mean a generic happy, I mean an excited happy. When I think about her, everything makes sense. Like the world is perfectly in place. When I’m with her, it's as if all of the fighting and gang activity stops, and it's just her. When she’s not around I feel empty, like I’m missing something. And I am. I’m missing the person who makes my heart full. When she’s not around, I’m missing my other half. There is nothing I want more than to take care of her and protect her. She's everything to me. And without her, there’s nothing. She fills all of the broken spaces in my heart, and she shines a light in my world, that I would be a fool to lose. So yeah, maybe to you it seems like it's a silly relationship. Maybe it seems like I don't want her for the reasons anyone else would think. But in reality, I don't just want her, I need her. I need her to even get through my day. I can’t imagine a life without her. Cause without her, I see nothing.”

Tsuji, knowing that his hard core reputation was going down the drain with every word he spoke, let all of the love that he feels for y/n out into the open. He knew that Hyuga wanted to hear the reason, and he knew that his reason would make him seem soft, rather than the image that he typically portrays, but he didn't care. He needed everyone to know that y/n is the woman who owns his heart. The woman that he would do anything and everything for. And now it's finally out in the open.

The room fell silent, as everyone took in the words from Tsuji, realizing how much he truly does love y/n. Realizing that maybe the two of them being together isn’t such a bad thing.

“She’s out in the garden. You have my blessing. However, Mess up one time, and you will be dealing with the entire Daruma Family.” Hyuga states bluntly, unable to form any other thoughts.

With that Tsuji rises, and makes his way to the garden. When he sees you admiring the flowers, he takes a minute to admire you and all of your beauty. When you finally realize someone is with you, and you see that it is him, you are unable to hide the smile that covers your features.

I really am the luckiest man alive. This woman, this woman is the woman I am meant to be with. Nobody will ever compare to her. She's the one.

His thoughts are only filled with you and the love that he has for you, and you are running to him. Jumping into his embrace, everything in the world feels right. As if nothing could ruin this moment. And in that moment, the two of you are connected as one soul. Nothing could break the two of you apart, and nothing will. Finally freely together, the two of you share a sweet yet passionate kiss, as everything in the world falls into perfect harmony.

The opening “Overture” is the same track we heard when they did the PV last December. Can you imagine how long have we been anticipating it and now the season one is over? This is like the signature theme of the series, that detective mood. And somehow, this reminds me of Sherlock BBC theme by David Arnold. Listen for yourself.

In the first glance, they are probably fillers, but there are good ones, superb ones, that clearly stand out. There are two Toto’s themes “My Good Friend” and “Toto’s Determination” that collide with “Together,” which plays every time Ron realises something about Toto and/or when it feels like the two of them against the world. The track “Ron & Toto” feels like a theme from a comedic standup. “Sleeping with a dead body” is definitely Ron’s that sounds like he is a necrophiliac. Heh. Yo Tsuji assigning them titles will certainly make you smile.

It is a combination of jazz, a bit of blues, bossa nova. All in all, the soundtrack is a good accompaniment to the series. Listening to it makes you want to relive the Kamo-Mondays.

- I imagine you guys meet somewhere like where something like -- yasushi like always was on his way to home after making chaos whole day , suddenly he stopped when he noticed a bunch of boys circling around something or something. As he drew closer to them he noticed a tiny figure between the tall guys " A girl ? " yasushi thought to himself. " oi , what are you guys doing " he shouted at the guys . All of them started turning to him one by one , then he notices you , a girl with long jet black hair that reached your waist.

- and there he saved you and you dropped your student ID there . Yn thanked him hurriedly ran away . Yasushi tried to say something but you were already gone . Then he saw your ID "yn huh , she's kinda cute " he said to himself.

- then he found your school and then literally barged into your class . "Yn - chan !" a loud voice made you jolt up from your seat "remember me " . -- that's how you guys met second time .

- and after that you guys kept meeting "coincidentally " ( it was all done by yasushi himself)

- if you kinda shyied away from him but the more you guys meet the more you become comfortable and the more he feel for you .

- soon you guys become dating and leaving kiyoshi no one knew and kiyoshi was soooo jealous, he literally acted grumpy toward yasushi.

- one day yasushi gave you his jacket to hold because it was hot but he forgot it with you and now the weather was getting cold . He cold him but he won't pick up. So , you decided to go to oya "like how bad it could be " you thought to yourself

- as you entered the school everyone was staring at you . You thought about asking someone but you where too shy . You where looking around when you suddenly bumped into a tall guy . You looked up at him , he had brown hair and a somewhat colorful jacket. "A girl?" the guy beside him spoke up . Yn looked at him he had a quit unique hairstyle. They both where literally staring in her soul . " who are ? " , "what are you doing here ?" , "are you lost " They flooded her with questions she was too overwhelmed to answer. She felt scared. "Yn - chan " she heard a voice from her left "kiyoshi- san " yn looked at kiyoshi with a smile and just as she was about to run his way she saw yasushi literally rushing towards her . He kinda leaped over her and hugged her tight and she hugged him back but as she realized that she was in his school she broke the hug .

- you gave him the jacket and where about to leave but he took you to the rooftop to meet his friends and the guys with unique hair and kinda colorful jacket( which you later found out to be tsuji and shiba) just stud there like a bomb where dropped on them .

- as yasushi took you to the rooftop and introduced you as his girlfriend everybody was shocked like literally the same reaction you saw on tsuji and shiba .

- let's say - fujio like always was over existed to meet you and made you his friend.

- jamuo was as same level of shy as you . Nanaoka was also a little shy .

- the only normal once where tsukasa and nakagoshi.

- tsuji and shiba, they were kinda awkward and apologized to you for scaring you but asked you ofcourse slowly " why him ?".

- and yasushi all the time beside you holding your hand and smiling at you .

- as for todoroki, you unexpectedly clicked with him . Like you saw a book on the table and asked out of curiosity " do you read that book tsuji - san " " no , todoroki reads that book " tsuji replied " why do you ask ? " todoroki asked. " no , it's just one of my favorite books " you said almost scared by his cold tone and face . " really? " todoroki asked in almost a shocked tone .

- as you started discussing about the book and about more and more books todoroki toke the empty seat beside you . So now you where in middle and todoroki on your right discussing about books and yasushi on your left watching you both with a pout on his face . He was too obvious that he was jealous but he didn't Want to ruin your movement but this was one of the rare times you open up to someone new so poor baby just sat there watching you both and all the others just looked at you three.

- tsuji and shiba were laughing there asses off.

Rate-up is a lie

is a popular phrase within the gacha community. Players use it to mock their failed attempts to get their desired character from the gacha pool, blaming it on the shining lettering on the banner, "rate-up".

Of course, we all know that what we play is dependent on RNG. That's why we say it jokingly. But imagine if rate-ups were a lie?

It is a preposterous thought, and people would definitely be outraged, but what if I were to tell you that it did happen? Veterans are very much familiar with this case I’m about to talk about.

The game was alleged to deceive its player base and subsequently changed the industry forever. The game in question is Granblue Fantasy by Cygames.

It is the year 2016. Cygames’ second consecutive year on the market and New Year is around the corner, so why not celebrate by introducing a new limited character for players to pull.

Amidst all those players, there is a livestreamer, Taste, who shared his attempts. However, his efforts were in vain and went viral after he obtained Andira after 2,276 pulls (5358,50€ in monetary value [exchange rate as of 31.12.2015). [1]

More reports of other players were coming in, confirming that they needed to spend a high number of pulls to get her. As time passed, it became clear that something was fishy.

Remember the saying from the beginning – rate-up is a lie? Well, someone put in the effort to collect data and put it into numbers. [2] Suddenly, it dawned on the community. The rate-up was… not a lie! Instead, it was misleading.

Andira, as a featured character, had indeed a rate up, but other units had a higher rate up and therefore were more likely to be summoned.

Understandably, this caused a massive outcry which the developers denied the allegations, but to appease the crowd, they had to apologize and compensate everyone with in-game currency. To prevent further escalations, Cygames preemptively introduced a new system to cap the players’ spending as well as showing the probabilities of all items for more transparency.

Overall, Yuji Nakamura argues that it could have dealt a massive blow to the market share of the mobile game industry, which lost 1 billion dollars. [4] Not only that, it also garnered mistrust from consumers.

Apparently, it even attracted some regulatory bodies. One is JOGA (Japanese Online Games Association) [1], the other is CESA (Computer Entertainment Supplier’s Association). [3]

Both have released guidelines on the matter. Although I cannot confidently say much about JOGA due to the language barrier, if you are interested and able to read Japanese, you can find their guidelines under the categorie April 2016.

Nevertheless, according to Koeder et Tanaka, CESA has announced a guideline for more transparency for gacha item probability. [3]

It’s worth noting that JOGA and CESA are not regulatory bodies from the government. So those guidelines are not legally binding. According to Tsuji’s article introduction on Columbia Academic Commons, in Japan video game regulations are handled by third parties – basically self-regulation. [5]

In the end, the incident shaped the industry, compelling subsequent games to adapt to the guidelines. A win for consumer rights.
