I hate Ruka but I also think he is the illustration of how pervasive Akio's grooming and Ohtori's influence in general is. This teen was ill and instead of healing he tried to heal a girl he was attracted to.... while harming said girl even further, and then died himself and his death is treated like a heroic act just because he died himself, because that was ohtori taught men to do.
