💋 First kiss fics. Love em or hate em?

Oh I'm so conflicted about these because they're always very similar and vanilla one-shots and GOOD FOR THEM! But where is the angst and plot and storyline??? What happens next? Where's the heart ache and struggle and desperation? It's always so straight to the point because the writer's end goal is to make them kiss. There is nothing else going on but two flustered characters trying not to chicken out.

So I find them really boring I'm going to be honest. If the whole story line is "they're going to kiss" there's not a whole lot of flavor to that.

I think first kisses in fics are great, of course. But that's because there's other story elements at play, and it's not the whole plot of the fic. I love when it's this big epiphany moment of "oh". And also when it's not even turned into a big deal, they're just kissing like oh wow, and the readers don't realize "OH SHIT THAT WAS HIS FIRST KISS" until a few paragraphs later.

❌ What's a trope you will never write?

I always say never say no, however probably Love at First Sight because it's just. . . not my jam. I don't think you can properly fall in love with someone with no prior knowledge of them, and just feeling like you're in love with someone because of their looks is :\

However for those that don't know about it, basically Sweet Tooth is our (Me and @dragoncxv360 ) silly little Moon/Ruin AU except it got lore somehow and then angst and now we're sitting here stoking the flames of a dumpster. All good things.

Moon is brought back by Monty, finds out about some unwanted upgrades, and has a meltdown, leading to severe body dysphoria that he has to work through in the fic, as well as questioning his romantic and sexual orientation because everything has been turned upside down since he died, and he doesn't know how to feel about anything anymore.

Enter stage left Ruin, who has been sitting and waiting in Parts and Service for the past several months since Solar died, with minimal company. Moon didn't know he was down there, and Ruin wasn't expecting a visitor.

And then plot happens.

Funny thing Helios... didn't really have hobbies before Earth. After Eos ze didn't let himself do fun things like that. After Lunar ze started getting into games and watched movies, but only when Lunar visted. It's Earth's constant presence that got Helios to actually get into those things, oh lets watch this show together, this game will spook Earth let's play it together, etc. And this continued until Helios actually let himself do these fun things because he wanted to and not someone else. Helios is a notable coffee drinker, but not because he's the stereotypical one person in the family who drinks it black nothing else no. Helios makes zir coffee so sweet those people would not consider it coffee anymore, because Eclipses are notorious sweet tooths. So much so that he's the only Eclipse they know willing to drink coffee. Clip is over dramatic about it how could you drink that I can still taste the coffee meanwhile everyone else is like ??? what are you talking about.

I do~!

he picks and scratches at his hands when nervous or anxious, and wears the gloves sometimes to keep him from picking at the paint on his plating

he also bounces his legs

it took him a while to adjust to the socks, but now he'll playfully brag about being able to pad around without those jester slippers

he doesn't mind that his rays are played with, as long as it's for a short time; they're a bit ticklish

Solar sometimes lets Dazzle help with his projects--and by help, it's handing him tools he needs from his toolbox

Inside the lid of his toolbox are some stickers Dazzle and Jack have left; a deer and a pumpkin, respectively

he sometimes lets Jack sleep with him in his bed

he has internalized panic attacks

Solar doesn't eat that much, but he has a bit of a sweet tooth. He likes chocolate iced donuts and pies

he actually adds a bit of cream and sugar to his coffee, but will drink it black if he needs a quicker pick-me-up

he likes shock humor, and the occasional dad pun

it took him a bit to adjust to actually sleeping in a bed; there are times where he prefers the couch

he also suffers a bit of claustrophobia

his Moon (who I call Io) would shove him in a closet and lock him in there for hours on end to punish him for whatever reason

he used to hallucinate Daydream (his Sun)

I don't have much of a sweet tooth, but I love earthy flavors: things like carrots, kale, and ginger....more earthy flavors I can imagine are lowkey truffles. They love pairing it with blood. (I love to think he'd deny it though) Childlike wonder. Would enjoy dinosaur-shaped beetroot like tsams BM, bro has daddy issues I'm so happy that this Bloodmoon loves knives and guns because i had headcanons in tsams Bloodmoon that he would be skilled in knives and guns...and love them Twin number two was not an oopsie baby glass knife, he would enjoy it if it was the color red a fucking cry baby. like every single time he cries i just wanna scoop him up what the fuck. hes a kid i mean bro is into shapes and colors that they have never seen before mother fucker

○ The Astrals don't bleed

● If the Astrals ever blush, they glow brighter

○ The Astrals can regenerate their body parts if they ever get cut off

● Earth and Pollux have played dress up (with tea, snacks, makeup, and nail polish) once, and Castor walked in (yes, he was dragged to join in the little function, he lost a bit of dignity that day)

○ He may not seem like it, but Castor has developed a sweet tooth while his time on Earth (the planet), so has Pollux, but she's vocal about it

● The astrals don't have a reflection it's just light, flash bang 💥 (Lunar saw this with Gemini, and he couldn't see for a while)

○ Pollux has hello kitty heelys (I got this from someone else btw)

● Lunar is Castors first ever friend (They both got too attached)

○ Castor has abandonment issues (or detattachment issues, idk how to spell it🤷‍♀️)

● Solar drinks black coffee (the strong taste wakes him up)

○ Earth smells like lavender

● Earth and Lunar have a gift exchange every time something terrible happens (which is every single day 😭)

○ Lunars' love language is physical touch, gift giving, and words of affirmation (He has given gifts to Earth, Sun, Moon, Castor, Pollux, and Monty)

● The Astrals can express emotions they just don't know the word of said feelings, so they don't know how it feels and what word links to said emotion (so they think of themselves as expressionless beings)

○ Moon likes Earth cooking and baked treats (he can't get enough dawg 😭🙏)

● Nexus is going through his emo phase

○ Gemini (Castor and Pollux obv) are touch starved (they are a space being who hasn't gotten a hug for the years they've been alive for and are being revealed to touch the first time in their life and once they do they don't know what they're feeling or what it is, btw Lunar was the first one who hugged them)

● Lunar makes it his mission to spend more time with Pollux and Castor

○ Sun smelled like mangos and cherries at the beginning, but that started to fade now he smells like mangos, cleaning supplies, and cats

● Sun had a favorite kid in the daycare (after July 16th, they never showed up again. Wonder where they went!)

○ Dazzles real name was Delilah

● Whenever Jack sees someone eat pumpkin pie he holds himself

○ Castor has heard Lunar say his lovey dovey comments about Gemini, Pollux, and himself, now it's a daily occurrence to him (he glows a bit brighter every time this happens)

● Lunar has written love letters to Gemini, Pollux, and Castor. They're separated, and he writes what he likes about each and every one of them and his favorite moments with them. He doesn't give these to them he hides them away in the closet (Castor knows about them)

○Earth has a plushie collection (she takes care of them like as if they were her kids)

● Earth ice skates and is pretty damn good at it 👌

○ The Gemini twins like to look at Lunars eyes; Pollux is more vocal about while Castor just watches on the side lines, taking a peak once in a while

This was way too damn long 😒 Most of these were the Astrals or Lumini 😭😭 Sorry! I just have more of a preference 😪

Reaper skitters towards the cabin on all fours like a feral kitten, adding little scratches into the floorboards on the path he goes to get to the craft room. All the while Dawn is just sitting down nearby with baby Grim in his lap, waiting for Dusk(his brother a.k.a. his universe's Sun)/any of his other children to notice that they're missing.

This might be a long day, Grim, so here.

Dawn hands baby Grim an apple, Grim biting into it and sucking the red color out of it. It was at that point that Reaper had the bucket with him in xeir mouth while dragging the shovel with one hand, still running on all fours to get the blood cleaned up as much as he was starving for it....

Hoooh.....Reaper should've drank more of its blood!

Reaper winced and clutched xeir stomach before going on to attempt to ignore xeir hunger to clean up the blood and bury it away with the shovel and water.

Mmm Reaper is bored....oh, I know!!

Reaper smashes a few buttons on the computer's keyboard and somehow ends up opening the portal, jumping on through it with a gremlin-like fanged grin on his face. Xey then spot Grim, a baby BloodMoon variant from FNAF SB: 10 Years Later being held by Dawn, the Moon from FNAF SB: 10 Years Later.

Wahahaha! Hello Grim and massive moon man!

Mm...? Oh...is you....

Reaper is bored right now, so....

Reaper approaches the computer on the security desk and mashes in some coordinates on the thing. Dawn is about to question what Reaper's doing before Reaper rips Grim out of their arms and yeets him into the ballpit portal.

My baBY-!!!!

Dawn then goes after Grim in the ballpit portal, Reaper proceeding to laugh hysterically before following after them. The portal spits them all out in different locations in @escapetheslaughters dimension. Grim ends up near the cabin, which appears to have been modified; Dawn ends up near the pond, and Reaper lands on his feet in the forest.

Reaper may as well hunt for a little bit then check on the chaos Reaper has sown! Wahahahahahaha!

Miscellaneous Sun and Moon Head Cannons Part 1

Not TSAMS! I will probably make a separate post for that

Despite both being physically unable to eat, Moon is programed to be a sweet tooth as well as a picky eater while Sun is programmed to enjoy all foods.

If asked, both Sun and Moon would descrbe themselves as pan but they don't really dwell on the thought of romance. Work comes first.

Both Sun and Moon have paws instead of humanoid feet

Sun seeks attention while Moon waits for attention to come to him

Sun and Moon both enjoy media and objects based on their namesakes and will get strangely jealous or upset seeing someone they are close to pick something based on the other's namesake

Moon is the more 'normal' one of the two and just acts silly because it's fun

Both use any pronouns but have different preferences

Moon prefers it/him

Sun prefers he/she/they

Sun is technically the older of the two as their body was first turned on in the light. Sun likes to use this fact to tease Moon

Sun and Moon compete to see who can get the most plushies of themselves. Moon is winning by a lot

Sun sees himself as ugly and scary, often wishing he looked less creepy. Moon thinks he looks fine as fuck

Both Sun and Moon move in a very animated way to make up for their lack of expression

Sun has white lights in his eyes simialrly to how Moon has red lights, it's just hard to see them when it's bright

Moon has a slight interest in robotics which is one of the reasons why it tears apart staff bots. The other reason is that it's fun

Moon is very easy to entertain

Moon has a facebook account purely to look at facebook memes. It is a guilty pleasure for him

Sun vehemently belives that she is not bald because of her rays despite it not being actual hair

Ever since Moon was infected by the vanny virus, Sun has found it harder to comfort children after 'naptime', often even lashing out at others

Not even Moon knows how it's hat stays on it's head all the time

Sun and Moon both enjoy 'stretching' after charging or sitting down for long periods of time even though they are made of metal and do not need to

Sun and Moon are able to feel everything the other does no matter who is in control of their body

Moon can be almost shy at times

Sun and Moon have a openable chest compartment that is supposed to be for storing sun/moondrops, first aid materials and emergency craft supplies. It is a cirular space that is split into two semicircles, the semicircle that is at the front of their chest switches depending on who is in control of their body so that Sun and Moon have seperate storage compartments, although they are both able to forcefully access each other's storage by manually spinning the compartment which causes slight discomfort to both. (22/02/2024 edit - I have drawn diagrams of their chest compartment here and here!)

Moon likes to store random trinkets in his storage compartment

Sun and Moon are both scared of having maintenence done on them, similarly to how a child would be scared of the dentist

Sun often feels overwhelmed yet understimulated at the same time

Once, Sun got stuck in one of the tubes in the daycare because of his rays getting jammed and being unable to be brought into his head

(OK, so I have this headcanon for TSaMS [like the actual canon show-] that KillCode prefers the organs of a kill rather than the flesh [he is a distinguished lad. A gentleman. A fine boi. Ignoring the fact that he's killed people-] While BloodMoon, on the other hand, just goes for the parts that have the most meat/blood [heart, muscles, etc] and aren't picky about it.)

(I was wondering if KC, Bloody and Harvest have any favorite parts of a kill?)

//You know what, I love that idea! I honestly haven't really thought about it? But I would say that based on the fact that the twins can mostly survive off of bloodbags, that they definitely do prefer blood/blood-rich meats (for instance, if they were to go to a grocery store, they'd probably pick out raw steaks). It isn't a food, but Bloody likes to save the bones and antlers (if they take down a deer) to gnaw on.

As for everyone else:

Solar: he never ate in his own dimension because he didn't have the ability at the time (this is where the blog slightly differs from the story). But now that Moon's helped him upgrade? How did he ever not eat?? He has a few samefoods he rotates between, it's hard to get him to try something outside of his comfort zone. But he really likes pasta. Mac and cheese? Yes. Spaghtetti? Yes. Chicken alfredo? It's mac and cheese and spaghtett in one, yes. If not pasta, he likes to bake. He's really good at making cookies!

Lunar: Lunar's the one who got Solar hooked on mac and cheese because that's his favorite food! Especially the shell kind. Regular noodles are ok, but they aren't as good as shells. (Velveeta for the win). If not mac and cheese, his second favorite is hot dogs. Or hot dogs in mac and cheese! And Solar's cookies are always the best! Especially the chocolate chip ones.

Sun: Sun likes grilled chicken. Don't ask him why, but it's really versatile! Chicken alfredo? Grilled chicken salad? Chicken sandwich? He could eat chicken for days. He also likes to bake and can make a mean souffle.

Moon: Moon doesn't tend to eat much at all, he just doesn't see the need. But every so often, he likes to drink coffee (black, the monster). An occasional glass of wine isn't bad, either.

Bloody: When he isn't eating meat or drinking blood, he likes chicken nuggets. Especially the dinosaur ones. He likes to pretend he's a vicious predator

Harvest: Harvest doesn't really eat too often either. But his guilty pleasure? Chocolate ice cream.

Kill Code: He is a refined gentleman, you're right! He doesn't need to eat anything besides his hunts, no. Certainly not- Steak. He likes steak. Not even rare, he likes it medium-well. And served alongside a fresh salad? 100/10

Eclipse: Eclipse doesn't eat. Gods, that's dumb. It's not like it does his body any good. Why would you even ask? Chocolate cake. Birthday cake. Confetti cake. Angel food cake. Vanilla cake. Devil's food cake. He's got a sweet tooth.

And I know no one asked, BUT

Poppy: They surprisingly really like spicy food, especially ghost pepper chips. ("No, bumblebee. Believe me, you won't like these. No don't take control of the body-! Oh no...")

my main tsams project right now is Blood in the Water, which is a Bloodmoon centric fic about pirates and sirens and betrayal. the mature rating on it is just for Bloodmoon Typical Violence™

aside from this i've also written a Solar/Moon (Solar/Nexus) oneshot called chasing dreams inside our room which is short and sweet and tooth rotting.

i've got a Solar centric AU longfic in the works as well but that one's not ready to post yet. but! you'll likely see more oneshots from me in the meantime and i'll try to post about them here whenever they go up on AO3.

Based around the time when Eclipse escapes KC's lab and earns the star, the spell to change their memories misfires leading to many robotic life becoming organic instead.

Unfortunately due to the stars overuse with time, led to more, drastic changes to both Eclipse and those around him. Creating a zombie like mutation that infects others in contact with star energy.
