THE ROYAL MINT - 2023

Each year, the Royal Mint issue a number of new commemorative coins to mark the notable anniversaries of the coming 12 months. 2023 is no different, and as we kick off the New Year, the Mint has unveiled two special new coins.

The obverse of each coin features the latest definitive portrait of Their Majesty’s The King and Queen consort.

To commemorate the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Boats, this §2 coin features a letter written by Wilfred Douglas, one of Windenburg’s most famous captains.

The Douglas Letter was a valuable source of first hand accounts to one of the most notable incidents in Windenburg history, including a pivotal point happening at Port Hastings during the Battle of Boats. The limited edition coin is likely to be a sought after collector’s piece.

The second release in The Royal Mint’s Landmarks of Windenburg Collection is the Buckingsim Palace one-ounce gold bullion §5 coin, which features a portrait of the regal estate taken during His Majesty’s 2017 Silver Jubilee. Standing at the top of the tree-lined avenue known as The Mall, at the very heart of Windenburg, is Buckingsim Palace, the Windenburg monarch’s main official residence. 

Originally a town house built by Sir George Sussex, 1st Earl of Buckingsimshire in 1842, Buckingsim House was purchased by King Edward I in 1858. The monarch added additional wings and renamed it Buckingsim Palace. King Edward I would become the first monarch to use Buckingsim Palace as their official residence in 1860. Stepping out onto the famous balcony during the celebrations for the opening of the Great Exhibition in 1861, he started a tradition that endures to the present day.

The coins are available to buy from The Royal Mint now, and you can even get your hands on a full set of them from The Royal Mint. They are also in circulation, so keep an eye on your change to see whether any wind up in your wallet!

Silver Jubilee stamps were also reissued, commemorating 30 years of the reign of King George I. The stamps were first issued in 2017 to celebrate His Majesty’s Silver Jubilee.

Two stamps feature 1992 coronation portraits of the King and Queen Rowena.

Two additional stamps feature Their Majesty’s 2017 Silver Jubilee portrait and a rare portrait of the King with the two future monarchs, his daughter Princess Katherine and his grandson Prince Phillip.

HSH Princess Sophie of Rostock Presented at the Wardenburgian Court

Her Serene Highness Princess Sophie of Rostock, daughter HSH  the late Prince Heinrich of Rostock and HRH Princess Viktoria of Norden, Princess Heinrich of Rostock was presented at court. She was presented along with other debutantes including Princess Josefina of Manheim, Princess Elisabeth of Cologne, Princess Paulina of Rhinebach, and Duchess Klara of Marburg. HSH wore a mint varient of the Waardenburgian Court Dress a diamond tiara.

Zodiac Legacy Challenge for the Sims 3

If you’re like me, I like a good legacy challenge with nice themes/aesthetics to place/plan out with each heir with enough wiggle room for creative interpretations. No. Well I’ve always wanted to do a zodiac legacy challenge but could never find the rules for TS3 or most of them were made for TS4.  So I guess I thought I would just make one then. 

This was all made on a whim but it’s a strong whim. So enjoy the whim. “@” me if you use the rules since I didn’t come up with a tag for this.

General Rules:

Finish the goals provided for each sign

You can move onto the next generation when all goals are met or you maintain them until the heir has aged up or both. Up to you.

 You can start on any sign but you must go in order afterwards.

If I were to start on Leo, I would have to do Virgo next.

ROYAL INVESTITURE FOR ARCHIE LAMBERT

The Royal Family had a busy two days. King George kicked off his week at Buckingsim Palace for an Investiture Ceremony. The presentation of investitures took place on Monday when the group of 32 awardees, including Celebrity Chef Archie Lambert, were presented with an MWE by the monarch. The palace explained in a statement that an “Investiture is the very special day when someone who has been awarded an honor receives their award in person from The King or a Member of the Royal Family. The investee visits a Royal residence, usually Buckingsim Palace, with members of their family, to receive their insignia.”

The Most Excellent Order of the Windenburg Empire (MWE) is a Windenburg order of chivalry, rewarding contributions to the arts and sciences, work with charitable and welfare organizations, and public service outside the civil service. It was established on 4 June 1917 by King Edward II and comprises of five classes across both civil and military divisions, the most senior two of which make the recipient either a knight if male or dame if female.

Chef Archie Lambert was honored for his work in feeding the homeless of Windenburg through his Archie-Eats campaign. The chef, who owns several top restaurants, rose to fame 10 years ago after winning season 3 of the hit show Windenburg Chef. With over 22.7 million Simstagram followers, he uses his celebrity to raise millions of simoleons to feed, clothe and house the homeless across the Commonwealth. King George thanked him for his service and advised the young chef to keep up the great work. 

Lambert, in a Simstagram live video, stated “He (King George) told me what I do truly makes a difference. I feel so honored! It definitely makes me want to go harder for my country. Long Live the King!” Archie was a homeless teen who found a passion for culinary arts through a program His Majesty created in 2001 to assist young Commonwealth teens in finding trades.

Monday also included a royal visit to The Windenburg Royal Museum by Queen Rowena to open the new Western Royal Exploration Exhibit. The exhibit features western artifacts the Windenburg monarchy collected throughout the centuries. The museum has been under heavy scrutiny in recent months for not returning artifacts that were stolen during past wars, after Willow Creek recently returned a stolen Windenburg artifact. Most notable of the new artifacts on display, a 17th century golden plate believed to have been stolen from the Sulani palace during a raid in 1791. The plate, worth $78K simoleons, reappeared and sold at an 1830 auction and gifted to King Edward I in 1895 by a foreign noble.

In her speech, Queen Rowena spoke on the importance of cultivating art. The new second floor exhibit will be open Saturday to the public during normal museum hours through the winter, with an option to extend through Spring 2022. The royal museums third floor features gowns and pieces from royal engagements past, including the recently added gown worn by Princess Lara on her 21st birthday.

Queen Rowena is scheduled for tea at Buckingsim Palace with the Women’s Health of Windenburg organization next week, in support of Women’s Health Month. King George will be off to Willow Creek the following week for the G-4 Summit where SNNs own Anderson Cooper will bring you live coverage.

Penelope was almost surprised to feel her foot land on solid ground. She opened her eyes and looked around. She was surrounding by pulsing plants and fluorescent flora. Off in the distance she could make out a beautiful futuristic city where what seemed to be flying cars zipped between maze of buildings. In all these years of getting abducted the aliens had never brought her here, it was unlike anything she could’ve ever imagined. 

She knew they’d never believe her, at least not without taking them to Sixam. Penelope didn’t really mind though, she kind of wanted to keep this magical world she’d discovered to herself.

You could tell how hopelessly in love she was with him just by the way she looked at him, if for the first time. Jole always tried to keep the romance alive between them, to calm her jealous nature with roses and stolen kisses. But that was all secondary to her; she’d fallen in love with his mind, the things he said, the way he thought. That was what made him so endlessly fascinating to her.
