Sims In Bloom: Generation 2 Pt. 133 (Felix Psyded, Esq., Finds New Love!)

"I've got two things to ask you about if you've got more than a minute." Conrad held his phone to his ear as he packed up at the prison to head home.

"Of course. What do you need?"

"Ash saw a ghost. And not a ghost like you, who wanted to be seen, but a loner who doesn't like being among the living and thought I was the only one who could see him."

"Your old lighthouse keeper?"

"And his dog. Ash said the dog was wet. Skin and bones, you know... But I only saw the dog transparent, like you."

Felix Psyded furrowed his brow. "Curious. Ghosts are very good about keeping to themselves when they want to be alone, but there are some sims who-"

Conrad sighed heavily. "If a sim died, like in a medical emergency, but they were brought back...Does that have anything to do with it?"

"Yes! Resurrected sims, even through medical intervention, have been known to see the undead as though they're just the same as the living. It's not an exact thanatological science, but if Ash survived a medical emergency that probably explains it."

"You were resurrected. Do you see ghosts?"

"Not unless they want me to. Like I said, it's not an exact thanatological science." He could hear his friend's trepidation and smiled warmly. "It's considered something of a gift, you know, to be able to commune with the dead. I know Ash is still young..."

Conrad was quiet. Heather was going to loathe this information. "Thanks, Felix. I appreciate your help."

"Always. And what was the other thing?"

"It's about a friend of mine. He needs legal help and I was hoping you could meet with him."

"I'd be glad to...but you know my special rate is just for you and Heather..."

"I'll cover him. He's in Sulani, in trouble with the law over some stuff he did for Los Tigres de Selva when he was younger. But he's not that kid, and he knows plenty that could be used to get him a decent plea deal, but his sister is the criminal I'm after and he doesn't want to sell her out. I think she was responsible for a murder in Brindleton Bay, and I won't be able to hold her behind bars forever for rental fraud."

"And you think I'll convince him?"

"Maybe you could give him something to think about by letting him know what sort of deals he could make for certain information. Give him a reason to fight his way out of trouble instead of hiding out in an abandoned shipwreck in Sulani."

"Abandoned ship?" Felix looked around the room. "A trip to Sulani might be nice. I haven't been out there since I was in the Navy, and the weather in Britechester still hasn't warmed much. Besides, I might have someone to bring with me! She's wonderful, Conrad. I met Lilith while out for a walk through town in midwinter, and tonight I'm meeting her parents and sister."

"You're talking to me when you should be impressing your new girlfriend's parents?"

"Lilith understands. She knows what you did for me."

"And she's grateful!" The redhead with piercings and dark makeup smiled from the sofa in her family's living room. Lilith Pleasant was thrilled to introduce her new boyfriend to her twin sister, Angela, and her parents, Daniel and Mary Sue, but she wouldn't dream of disrupting his conversation with someone to whom Felix owed his life.

"She sounds great, Felix. Heather and I can't wait to meet her. I'll send you the details about Sulani, but I should get home to my daughter and you should get back to Lilith and her family."

They hung up the phone and Felix returned his attention to the Pleasants. "Well, that was an interesting call! Lil, my love, how would you like to join me in Sulani to meet a potential client?"

Lilith's mother, Mary Sue, glanced happily at the man her daughter had brought home. Lilith was dark, Gothic, purples and blacks, while her twin Angela was preppy pastels and earth tones. Mary Sue and Daniel Pleasant never would have guessed the man Lilith chose would be a man who'd lived for over a century as a ghost, but as they got to know him, they understood.

And they liked him. He met Lilith's need for mysterious and macabre while being well read, mischievous, and charming. He was so much better for their daughter than the losers she dated throughout high school and university. They'd only just met him, but Mary Sue expected big things for Lilith and Felix. Like grandkids. Eventually.

"I'd prefer Ravenwood next time - when it's not a work vacation - but I never get enough opportunities to wear a bathing suit!" Lilith raved, doe-eyed over her new love. "And if we're there together, I know I'll love the sun!"

"Ravenwood someday, my love."

They leaned in for a kiss in full view of her family. In his day this sort of behaviour would be unheard of, but he'd been around as a ghost long enough to know that old customs applied so rarely anymore. Lilith, however, was decidedly unconventional, and he loved that about her.

For the first time since his death and eventual resurrection, Felix Psyded, Esquire, had found his soulmate. ->

NOTE: Felix and Lilith are soulmates according to JaneSimsten's Soulmates mod, which really excited me! So much so that I grabbed their parents from the MaxisOfficial Gallery account and added the Pleasant twins to the save about nine generations before this challenge is supposed to move to Britechester. Seems fitting since I did the same with Felix, and he deserves a soulmate! In this timeline the parents are elders and the twins are in their mid-20s, so Lilith is about a decade younger than Felix, but also younger by about 150 years (technically) since Felix was originally born in 1879 and died in 1915.

Episode 25: Unspoken Understanding

When Kaylynn returned home from work the day that Daniel hit on her, Matt was waiting for her with a smile on his face. “How was work?” he asked. “You didn’t start feeling sick again, did you?” Kaylynn couldn’t help but burst into tears.

Matt was confused by the sudden outburst of emotion. Kaylynn told him about Daniel and how uncomfortable she felt. For a second, Matt looked angry. It was an expression she very rarely saw cross his face. However, he quickly calmed down and focused on comforting his wife.

“You don’t have to go back there,” he assured her. “You can find another client.” She thanked him for being supportive. “If you want, I can call and let them know you won’t be returning.” Kaylynn declined the offer and said she’d do it herself.

She called Daniel’s wife, Mary-Sue, and let her know something came up and she wasn’t able to come back. Mary-Sue sighed at the news. "I had a feeling," she replied. Kaylynn got the sense that she knew the reasoning behind her sudden departure despite the vague explanation she'd given.

"If you need a recommendation letter, let me know," Mary-Sue continued, a hint of sadness in her voice. "And Kaylynn...I'm sorry."

Kaylynn felt even more grateful for having such a loyal and supportive husband. Not everyone was so lucky. "I'm sorry, too," she told Mary-Sue.

0. Introductions

The land of Pleasantview. It’s hard to find a person, who doesn’t dream of building a career in one of its shiny skyscrapers, moving into a cozy house of its calm suburbans and taking a stroll in between the peaceful greenery of its vast parks. But is there something more to it? Is there something that is hidden behind this polished image of ultimate happiness and breathtaking success? Is there something that never leaves the borders of the neighborhood stories? 

Not So Pleasant

They’ve always seemed to be an exemplary family: famous football player Daniel with his successful business lady Mary-Sue and their twin-princesses Angela, the bright mind, and Lilith, the creative soul.

So when Daniel moved out unexpectedly the neighborhood of Willow Creek couldn’t let the case without digging. Soon enough the rumours of Daniel cheating on Mary started to spread, and the exemplary image was left shattered in pieces.

What other secrets keep the Pleasants? And will Mary ever be able to trust a man again?

Broken Souls

Brandi never regretted leaving the luxury of her parents behind in order to move in with her high school sweetheart Skip Broke. She had no other choice. Her parents planned a shiny academic future for her, so they would never allow their 18-year-old daughter to keep her and Skip’s baby. 

The Brokes traveled enough around Pleasantview, with Skip doing his best to provide for his wife and his little son Dustin. After a long time of moving around, Skip has found a permanent job at the Landgraab facility and the family has finally been able to settle down in a tiny trailer house in one of the modest corners of Willow Creek. That’s where they had their second son, cutie Beau. And that’s where Brandi has lost her Skip to a “tragic and mysterious facility accident”. 

Will Brandi be able to raise her sons alone? And what troubles will Dustin get into while trying to deal with his heavy loss?

A Fresh Start

After months of unsuccessful attempts to conceive their second child, Leo and Lina have come to a conclusion that a calm suburban area might be the solution to their difficulty. So they changed the stuffy San Myshuno Business Quarter to the Copperdale fresh air, leaving Leo whining from time to time about spending a whole hour daily to get to his office and back. 

To Lina’s mind, apart from the fresh air there were more bonuses that Copperdale has offered her family. The local high school has always been famous for gifting its students a lucky ticket to the best universities of the countries, and Lina couldn’t dream of a better opportunity for her eldest daughter from the previous marriage Nina. 

On top of that, Copperdale was significantly further from San Sequoia, making Nina spend much less time with her rock-star father Niel Dwyer. 

But will the distance help Lina get rid of Niel’s troublesome and careless influence on Nina? And will Copperdale finally become Lina's and Leo’s family happiness corner?

Vikie’s notes: With my recent nostalgia about The Sims 2 lore, I’ve been dreaming of creating TS2 world in The Sims 4. Apparently it has already been done by violetpixels in the TS2 to TS4 Uberhood save file.

Currently I’m focused on the two iconic TS2 families - the Pleasants and the Brokes, along with my Gross-Dwyer family whom I decided to give a fresh start after I had lost any interest in going on with “My Willow Creek Teens” story. However, later on I might add a couple of other preexisting TS2 households to the “Neighbourhood Stories” (with proper introductions, of course).

Her political career is on the rise and Mary-Sue is very proud of it. She basically lives for work now and spends a lot of time there.

As Mary-Sue works all days and nights, Daniel feels lonely. She doesn’t have time to pay attention to him a is romantically cold to him. So Daniel found a "replacement" in their maid Kaylynn.

But how can this affair of his end?
