Kahlil: Well as I mentioned when we met I’m not from here. I’m just checking out my family’s new vacation house. I’m originally from Newcrest.

Fay: Hm I’ve never been there. What’s it like?

Kahlil: Boring. What about where you’re from?

Fay: It had its moments of being boring, but the town was pretty active.

Kahlil: Sounds nice. What else about me? I work in my family's business. Nothing fun, but it pays well.

Fay: I’m sure it does.

Kahlil: Hey can I just say something?

Fay: Sure.

Kahlil: Your food is so good.

Fay: Thanks!

Kahlil: Hm.. Shall we go on our walk?

Fay: Sure.

Cinderella Home

What is a Cinderella home, you ask? Take one part Swiss ski chalet, one part domesticity fairy tale, and sprinkle it on a midcentury tract home. These storybook ranches were designed with the taste of the woman of the home in mind and built en masse throughout California.

Their distinctive fairy tale style was highly sought after and often imitated by competitors. Cinderella homes can be credited with a lot of what we think of as classic ranch home features. Think: knotty pine, scalloped wood valances over kitchen windows, ornate turned spindles as room dividers. Of course, you can always yank that all out and start over from scratch

This home might be perfect for: the Disney Princess challenge, Not So Berry blue gen, Judith Ward's origin story, anyone's fairy godmother... anyone who likes baby blue!

Tiana's Work Outfit - BGC

A few months ago when American Girl released their second Disney Princess collection with extra outfits, I was ecstatic that Tiana was one of the featured characters. Her work outfit is so cute and I knew right away that I wanted to make it. Life got in the way and there were some technical difficulties, but now it's finally done!

I couldn't find a coat that would give me the same dress bodice, so they ended up looking more different than I would have liked. I'm calling it "inspired by" Tiana's work coat. It has some gapping when you look from the side. I sized it down from adult, and the shrinkwrap function doesn't always align collars properly.

The dress comes in @stephanine-sims Pudding Palette with accents from @chere-indolente's Retro Patterns.

One file is the dress alone and another file has the dress attached to the coat.

The coat has a separate overlay accessory for swatches and these two files are merged.

Hat and coat overlay are in the retired Milk Tea palette.

Individual files or merged file with hat, dress, and coat with overlay.

Fay: Hey! I made a picnic.

Kahlil: Hell yeah. Let’s eat and then we could take a walk to the ruins.

*they set up the picnic and start eating*

Kahlil: So Fay, tell me about yourself.

Fay: Well there is nothing special about me. I’m a writer who also loves to garden.

Kahlil: What’s your favorite book to write?

Fay: Fantasy and romance.

Kahlil: I have to admit romance is my favorite genre to read. If you need someone to read it before publication let me know.

Fay: *giggles* Okay, thanks. Now tell me about yourself.

Jasmine was mesmerized by the hubbub of the town.

(ok... where are all the people in the common areas of the residential rentals? My first time trying this out and it's dead out here.)

Jasmine went to a restaurant, but no one was there.

In retrospect, she realized she shouldn't have run away at night. She was tired and hungry.

She decided to see if she could scrounge up a meal in the kitchen.

But she accidentally clogged the drain.

"What are you doing?"

A little contrived, fitting the chief of mischief tasks into this storyline, but she finally mastered the mischief skill by clogging this sink! 🎉
