It was hard looking for a Festival Lot that checks off all the boxes for the kind of lot I want. I wanted it to fit a 40X40 lot typically placed in the center of town for custom small worlds, all the activities for all seasons and a spacious area where my Sims' pets can run around when not in season. The Central Park in Sunset Valley was perfect for me, but it was too big. So, I created this one, using Central Park as inspiration but without the pond and bridge because unfortunately, they wouldn't fit anymore.

This lot has been play-tested and I've used it in all my saved games. There were no issues with it in all seasons but please let me know if you experience any problems on your end. More pictures and information in the MTS link provided above (once approved).

📣Please be aware that there are spawners used on this lot thus I would advise to not rotate the Festival Lot to avoid duplicate spawners and remove spawners when the lot is deleted due to them remaining on the empty lot. To check and remove spawners, enable "testingcheatsenabled true" and "buydebug on" after.

📣All the expansion pack decor/items that were used on this lot will be replaced by the game if you don't have the expansion pack listed below but Season is required for the Seasonal Lot Markers to work.

One of my personal favorites out of these as well. I really enjoy the retro vibe from these in particular. I used to spend a lot of time at the bowling alley as a kid as I played on a league (my 7th birthday present was my own bowling ball!), and the snowboarding poster reminded me of watching my dad play the old snowboarding game SSX 3 on the GameCube (which ironically is also an EA game and TS2 Sims are addicted to playing). And the poker one? That one reminded me of this poker game my mom had on her pink Sanyo flip phone I used to steal and play! I could go on all day...these would work anywhere really, but particularly in your arcades, bowling alleys, festival lots, finished basements with juice bars and pool tables...

Can you make mod for the sims 3, a calendar for holidays, editing them.. creating custom holidays.. no need to be exactly same, I will literally be happy even with: *holiday will be in that many days* *name of the holiday* and *moodlet*, no need of to do list.. Or do you know some mod which can do this?

The idea of a calendar mod has been discussed several times by TS3 modders over the past few years, but one of the biggest hurdles is how best to execute such an expansive system like that.

There’s a lot of stuff the calendar would have to keep track of, like birthdays, school trips, game days, festival cycles, and existing holidays. Plus a new or repurposed interface for creating custom holidays, editing current ones, and all of the UI work for the calendar visual.

I don’t think it’s impossible to do, but it would be pretty complex. Unfortunately, it’s not a mod I have the skills to make. But maybe in the future another modder will.

If any modders are working on a mod like this, I’d love to know!

I love the festival lots from Sims 3, but since they`re not possible in Sims 2, I just plopped the same lot 4 times and decorated each version to fit the different seasons.

I`ll probably post more pics of these lots (or this lot *wink wink*) once I start playing and actually get to experience the seasons (and given that I`ll prob modify them quite a bit, since I`m eyeing the festival objects from ts3).

TS3 Legacy | Back to the Summer Festival...

A few days later we tried again and we really managed to do a lot of activities! The girls have improved their roller skating skills, hopefully next time we can do spins, I couldn't get anyone to skate backwards :x The boys had a water balloon fight in the time… unfortunately, I can't say exactly who won, I was too distracted by the girls >.< Of course we also enjoyed some water ice again, there are so many flavors… but, I think we've tried them all now :x The boys all wanted to take part in the hot dog eating contest, no idea why Theo wasn't there, maybe next time. In the event, Axel, Nik and Nat took up the challenge. Nat was the winner. At the end everyone played pitching horseshoes together, it was a really fun day and we also took a group photo in the photo cabin before driving home :3

So this is Winterfest…. And what have you done? Probably not much because there’s no seasonal events in TS4. SO I bring you Tannenbaum’s Tree Farm! Inspired by TS3 Seasonal Festivities, Instagram Aesthetics and my love of Christmas trees, I bring you a functional festive park for cute Christmassy outings for your sims.

Featuring a rink, bandstand, cocoa carts, play park, log cabins and a Christmas Tree Farm proposal spot, this park works for a family outing, a cute overnight staycay, a teen date or anything else you want winter wonderland vibes for.

Tannenbaum’s is CC free and on a 50x40 lot.. I tried to use as few packs as possible but you’ll definitely need the free Holiday items for it to look like the pics. I also used some Cottage Living, City Living and Seasons items though not having these packs shouldn’t affect the overall function, you’ll just be missing a coffee cart/a decor item mostly.

I built the lot to replace the park in Copperdale that is ugly and has nothing to do, as this has appropriate foliage and also kinda ties into the pier but you can put it wherever you like.

Hi! I love your posts and your gameplay so thought I’d ask you this and see if you have any advice :)

I’m doing a lil simple story with some gameplay aspects into it, and i’m wondering if you have any tips on how two potential love interests could meet, for the first time? Like occasions/places/situations? Story/pose wise (poses to use to make a specific situation or encounter) and also like gameplay wise (where they could meet in game through gameplay, like events, places or other stuff that happens when you play) hopefully that makes sense! Thanks a lot!!

Oh wow, it's actually kinda been a while since my sims have actually gone through anything like this, tbh, so idk if I'm really the person to ask, but...

Probably my most recent memory of any kind of meeting was between Zachary and Blake, and technically ( in my head ) they already knew one another in high school, but when I began playing them, I literally just threw a bunch of other sims with them into one big lot, and let the game decide whether they would "find each other in a room full of strangers" is one way to put it. They did, crazily enough, which is funny bc I was actually expecting one of them to go for Heather, but they went right to one another and began flirting almost immediately.

I'm kinda weird though, and I kinda like it when sims just interact organically, despite my headcanon, plans or expectations. The Sims 3 is incredibly chaotic compared to The Sims 4 when it comes to this, the sims in it are a bit more complex I guess... compared to TS4 sims imo, but the attraction system is kinda garbage, luckily their traits kinda do most the work when it comes to actual compatibility... like I wasn't really expecting Oba to find someone while at college, but he met Mika at a party, and they just really hit it off, so I kinda just jumped off of what happened in my game, bc TS3 is kinda about that anyway, it's a very... team effort kind of game, the player has control, but it can also pick up where the player leaves off if they want, and quite well if you manage to capture your sim/character well enough through traits.

Now, as for strictly posed, story focused, and planned meetings honestly it's really up to you. Find inspiration from some of your fav romantic media, whether it be books or TV, and don't let anyone tell you anything is too cliché, it's romance, it's supposed to be a little bit cliché, love is kinda corny sometimes and that's okay.

Outline an idea, gather the cc you need, there's sooo much cc out there for sims storytellers, it isn't even funny, and a lot of it you can easily find on cc finds blogs through their tags systems if they've got it, and for starters, why not hit up @ts4-poses? Then decide whether you wanna control the entire event yourself, or if you'd like the game to make a go at it. You can always exit without saving if things don't go as planned, no one will know ( how will they know, lol ), or hell, if it doesn't go as planned, and your sim flirts with Don Lothario at the romance festival instead ( like an old sim of mine did ), who's to say that isn't the start of a beautiful romance, or a doomed one... it's up to you!

Things to know about the world

7 households (14 sims) + 9 npc's i placed for work (23 sims total)

3 empty residential lots & 1 house that has no sim so move in or bulldoze

the sims come with skills and a job so yay

has all your basic rabbitholes + gypsy wagon

it has a consignment shop , festival ground , campground , park , garden area, somewhat of a beach , bar , gym/cafe

lots i didn't make : Planet wobbit by NapoleonFrost ,Joes corner by Everlasting garden and a house by pixelbots

the library is connected to the bookstore/spa so you will have to actually go to the lot to see it.

forgot to mention this world is probably good for at least a generation or two

when it comes to ep i used everything the original world uses however at the end of me checking everything i realized the npc house i added into the future bunk beds so if you dont have it its fine. other than that i used every expansion pack ...exclude itf lol

there was cc used i put it in the downloads folder theres a unmerged version and a merged just incase you have something i used and dont wanna mess up the game .

also i HIGHLY RECOMMENDED NRAAS REGISTER/OVERWATCH

Oregon Trail TS3 Sim Narrowdown

Abraham: "He can be recognized by his very athletic looks despite his grandiose body and his long blond hair with red streaks. If Seasons is installed, Abraham normally runs the kissing booth for boys during the Spring festival." There's a lot to unpack here, but he's kind of a vibe.

Eugene: gives me grown-up kid from Hey Arnold energy.

Davy: "Davy Linnell is a"A pre-made babysitter from Sunset Valley. He can be made playable by asking him to move in, or by marrying him when he's older. He doesn't have any skills and relationships at the start of the game. He only has three traits instead of the usual four. Also, despite having the family-oriented trait, he is prone to neglecting the children's needs."

Nate: "Unusually for a non-alien, Nate's eyes are pitch black."

Edward: he's a magician so that's fun.

Artie: he has some pretty dramatic cheekbones.

Big Steve: the name sold me. Also "Oddly, his first name consists of two words instead of just one, which may imply a large physical or authoritative size, although this is unconfirmed." WHAT DOES THAT MEAN EXACTLY!?

Trevor: "In high school, Trevor Burton broke a lot of hearts on his ever-present quest for the next conquest. Will living on his own in a new town soften his outlook?" Hey Twin, I know you are busy and your to do list is probably a mile long already, but would you consider converting incandescentsims' Holiday Celebration Festive String Wall Lights for us TS3 simmers please? I see them being used in a lot of gorgeous TS4 builds and am bummed we don't get to use them :( Thank you for your hard work either way, your yoga mod is giving my game a new lease of life.

Hi! Now that you are playing also ts4 I am really curious about your view on the game as a long time ts2 player. Are you enjoying the game in comparison to ts2/ts3? I was trying to get into playing with loads of mods but quickly gave up after the want/fear patch came out due to cough incest bugs cough and simulation lag. However some ts4 mods are really cool and I especially liked sentiments. Anyway, have a nice day :)

Hey, thanks for the question! I really enjoy the way the game looks but it's super, super stale and requires a lot of player intervention in order to make it interesting, which can be really tiring. I love to play games that are spontaneous in nature and ts4 really isn't that. I also hate the way sims interact with each other. There's no drama!!! I've been trying to incorperate mods to spice it up a bit but to no avail. I will agree with you on sentiments being cool as hell (even though the way they're generated doesn't always make much sense). I also think the game-generated events are really annoying (like why would I care about a cheerleading event going on? Why are my sims being invited to the spice festival????) Idk. Fears and whims in this game are super meaningless too. Like there's no real motivation for doing anything my sims want to do because nothing changes when I do do what they want. iddddk

Found these cute old screenshots (therefore not taken with SRWE and not as great quality) of Eliza and Bob Pancakes and since I've been sick and don't have much energy to play the game I thought I'd share them.

Another poor sim of mine passed out on Bob's head, but they used their therapy skills to religiously ignore her and not give a Glarn.

I just don't get why people hate them they're so cute. In my mind Eliza is checking in with Bob, maybe a little artificially but he can see she is trying.

So back when Growing Together came out I mean way after because it basically broke my game for over a month which is the whole reason I went back to TS2 and TS3 in the first place I literally had never touched Bob or Eliza even though I know they're well known sims 4 premades. Tbh I had never touched sims 4 premades 😂 anyway all I had ever heard about this couple was that they were a really bad couple and hate each other, often paired with especially negative comments towards Eliza, like "Eliza is a b***h" well, upon observing their home it looked to me a lot more like Bob suffered from depression, not just that he's a lazy husband or that Eliza is a b***h. Also their relationship really isn't that bad when you start so while they naturally are opposites that doesn't necessarily mean it had to be bad. So I gave them a new narrative. Bob was depressed (maybe capitalism, maybe feeling inferior or impostor syndrome, maybe it was just a chemical thing) and Eliza didn't really have the skills or understanding to help him. She isn't really an emotional person and doesn't find hard work or motivation difficult at all, so she wasn't the most supportive while he lazed about and did nothing at home. But they both decided to get couples counselling when Bob started to sleep in the other room and not leave for days; and for Bob to go to therapy separately upon the recommendation of their counsellor. Eliza learned more about mental health and how to be more sensitive and a supportive partner for Bob, while Bob learned how to rely less on Eliza and pick himself up. He started his own little pancake business (I used RGeetect's awesome build for this) and slowly became more involved in household chores. In the end I made them basically a perfect (perhaps a little too perfect) power couple. I think they deserved better. Eliza is following her ambitions to become an author and blogger and of course they have become adorable little parents.
