[Functional Train station] Sims 2

Finally got around to using Chris Hatch Railway Mod, and yeah, I'm in love! Also, after about 4 hours of reading I finally got the Visit Friend mod to work, and what a game changer.

WIP: Utopia Cityscape Blocks 001

Published: 9-22-2023 | Updated: N/A Still workin’ on that MORE-futuristic, MORE-sci-fi-funky skyline. I’ll be using Stonemason’s Utopia Cityscape Blocks and related sets to make my hood more vibrant.

As is my style, there will be hood deco and matching “lot lamps” – the latter are for making specific lots look bigger/more vibrant. You’ll simply place the object on the lot and build in/around it.

This is “Block 10.” On the far left, is the hood deco version. The two lot-deco versions are placed on the right. The smaller one is sitting on a 2-story building.

This is “Block 13.” There is a hood deco building and a 6-story high lot version. I want to redo these so the antennas blink.

One thing I need more of? Glass/Skyscraper window textures. However, I’ve been playing with these, and I like (most of) ‘em so far.

This is “Block 08” – aka “The Big Mama” – even though it’s way too big, I think a few “too tall” buildings fit my futuristic save well enough. We’ll see….

I still have a fair amount of editing to do, but this set is 80% done. Tips from friends in the community have made that work easier. Shout out to Rachums/@ch4rmsing for teaching folks in the community how to make light-up hood deco and helping me troubleshoot. She graciously tested “Block 10” in one of her subhoods. It’s the biggest building there (which is how I realized I need to scale some of these objects down). An additional shout out is due to @lordcrumps for teaching me the L/Subset selection trick in Blender (I just wish I had known about it before I spent all of last year’s Christmas season selecting every face manually - *hangs head in shame**throws shoes*). I can whip up some trait icons for this - 128 x 64 right? So we're basically needing the hobbies/interest icons I think....photoshop is OPEN.

Just gonna throw this mod idea out there because I keep thinking about it...

I've been slowly implementing preferred sub hobbies for sims based on Pleasantsims random hobbies. Basically if a sims true hobby is sports, then you randomize sports hobbies and then basketball is their favorite, or if their true hobby is art then maybe pottery is their hobby, etc etc.

I was just thinking it would be cool to have a mod that checks their true hobby and then randomly assigns them one in their inventory, like the trait system or favorite color system.

As you may have noticed I was kind of away over the past few months, but I’m getting back into the mood for sims. :) My first priority is to finish that space container hull project. Shown here are eight 45 degree corner pieces which create 16 differently angled surfaces, that actually looks reasonably round. I still have to do all the left corners, double corners, flat end pieces and little fixes, though.

OMG! It's real. Swimmable Pond Sims 2.... whispers [For Download]

So, @kashmiresims literally is a genius. The base/pre made swimmable pond was made by them. I did the DECO, because I'm a DECO girlie. I've had my sims swimming their butts off.

It's literally so much fun. I also love that you can see the fish swimming with them, like OMG!

[Malcolm Landgraab IV] A portfolio interview by The-Pixel-Architect

Spoiled brat or innovative entrepreneur Malcolm Landgraab insist he's paved his own way and the Landgraab name is here to stay!

Malcolm, at the age of 31 years old is the youngest living Landgraab remaining. We sat down with the legacy tycoon in his sprawling new home to talk the Landgraab name shifting from real-estate to tech.

When asked about the claims his family has crushed many of their real-estate competitors why venture in tech, Malcolm's response was "why not?"

The mogul, who amidst his almost unconscious flagrant need to be bigger than life, shared some hesitation with launching his very own company. While still under Landgraab Properties, Landgraab Technologic is it's own operating venture created and maned by Malcolm.

Malcolm notes that tech and real-estate have a never ending opportunity to be great, and his company is perfect to blend the two.

Our interview ended with the fortune heir leaving his estate in a helicopter. Love them or hate them, the Landgraab's have been a staple in all of The Sims. My version of Malcolm Landgraab IV is available for download HERE

[Modest 2BR Family Home] Available for download!

This is a bit different of a build for me, I wanted to create a home for @brownsugarbabesims cute family. They are working-class, so I wanted to keep everything, even the style of the home within a budget of that.

I also wanted it to be super cosy and show life of kids and family lifestyle. The décor is very, live-laugh-love LOL

I could not remember the gender of the toddler and infant so the kids room is very neutral, but cute!

The kitchen is very modest, a FAR cry from the elaborate kitchens I usually make. But since motherlode isn't an option, I kept it simple

The parent's room also reflects the idea of family <3
