The thing is, Tim doesn’t realise Kon doesn’t know his secret identity until Kon sighs, looks over at him longingly, and says, “Man. You’d be so good at this.”
“Good at what?” he asks, distracted by the plans he’s got spread out in front of him. Bruce wants an update on Lex’s new office, but Tim’s been trying to figure out why the old one has an extra hallway that seems to go nowhere. The last time Lex had a hallway that went ‘nowhere’, Tim and Bart had found a cloning lab.
“All the hero stuff, you know?” Kon says, and Tim blinks. He blinks again, trying to catch up while Kon keeps talking, “Like, you’re super smart, you’re super organised, and you’re totally obsessed with mysteries. You’d make a great Robin.”
“What?” Tim asks, feeling vaguely like he’s been shoved into a mirror dimension. But his undershirt is definitely half-hanging out of his laundry basket, and the R’s on the outside, so he can’t have been transported to an alternate dimension sometime within the last two minutes of conversation. Also, wait! he thinks to himself, he’s literally working on a plan to break into Lex’s building with Conner – why would he be doing that if he wasn’t-?
“Yeah!” Kon says, gaining enthusiasm at Tim’s bafflement, “Dude, you’re awesome. We could totally make a case. Where’s your computer? I bet I could get one of your powerpoints in front of Batman. Reasons why Tim Drake should be Robin, created by Superboy and validated by Young Justice.”
“Is it even my powerpoint if you’re going to take credit on making it?” Tim asks, and Kon waves off the question with one hand.
“Well, we can’t present a biased opinion,” Kon says, “and everyone in Gotham knows Robin’s the coolest, so if it was just from a civilian Batman may not take it seriously.”
Batman may not take it seriously, Tim’s brain repeats to itself, and then Tim has to stop himself from cracking up at the thought of Bruce sitting through a powerpoint on why his current Robin would make a ‘super cool’ Robin.
Presented by Superboy.
“Kon,” he says, unable to hide the laughter in his tone. Of course his friend is trying to joke - what other option is there? That Kon doesn't realise he's Robin? “What are you talking about? I can’t give Batman a presentation on why I should be Robin.”
Kon’s mouth twists in a mulish scowl. “Don’t,” he says, sounding more annoyed than Tim would’ve thought at such a joke, “You’re amazing, Tim. You would make an awesome Robin.”
“I know,” Tim says, and tries to ignore the flip in his stomach at how solemn Kon’s expression is, the way he’s serious about every word. It’s making his face feel hot, that Kon hasn’t immediately dropped the compliments, or paired them with an overly flirtatious wink. “Come on, dude, I get it. What bought this on?”
“It just- it’d be cool to hang out with you at the tower. Or do missions with you,” Kon mumbles and Tim stops entirely.
“Kon,” he says, because before it may have been a weird joke Kon was playing, some sort of ego-boost but he knows Kon well enough to read that expression, and- “Kon, I’m Robin. I can’t get Batman a presentation on why I deserve to have my own position.”
This time it’s Kon’s turn to look shell-shocked. “-what.”
“How did you not know?” Tim asks, feeling pained and also a little bit like a bad friend – had he inadvertently lied about something, made Kon think he and Robin were different people? Was he not clear enough when he’d introduced himself to Conner and Bart and Cassie, that weekend before Jason’s attack on the tower? Did Bart and Cassie also not know? Also, wait, back to his first thought of the day: “Why- why did you think I was helping you plan a break in to Lexcorp?”
“Lex sucks?” Kon says, the words an offering, and Tim squints at him.
“You think a normal civilian would help you commit crime?”
“What! How is this a crime?”
“This is literally breaking and entering! Technically, since I’m Bruce Wayne’s ward, it’d also be considered corporate sabotage.”
“It’s not a crime if the victim sucks,” Kon mutters bitterly, and Tim’s squint gets even more aggressive, brow furrowed.
“Kon. What was your explanation for how I knew you were Superboy?”
Kon shrugs, but his face has steadily been getting more and more closed off as his embarrassment deepens. “Dude, I said you were good at mysteries. I thought you just- figured it out. I wasn’t subtle the first time we met.”
“You didn’t have a name the first time we met!”
“What? Oh-” Kon says, “no, okay, the first time I met you as a civvy?”
"Huh?" Tim asks, and Kon cocks his head to the side.
"Yeah! Remember, it was the Mudders charity thing, and Superman and I volunteered in civvies but that girl got stuck in the mud pits so after I went to get her out you helped me hose off and said 'good job Superboy', and then I freaked out and you laughed at me."
"What," says Tim. He does remember that, but there's a key difference between his memory and Kon's- "you were in civvies?"
"Why did you think I kept showing up here as Superboy!" Kon says, this time his turn for exasperation.
"Because I told you my identity?!"
"You said your name was Alvin Draper! You wore contacts!"
"You have x-ray vision! I live with Batman!"
"Tim!" Kon yells, and it's not entirely angry but Kon's suddenly in his face, his hands wrapped around Tim's biceps. "Tim I didn't know! I just thought you were my cool civvy friend who figured out my identity while I was covered in mud and- and-"
Kon's suddenly beaming, and Tim has whiplash.
"Hi, Robin," Kon says, so soft that Tim's heart crawls up his throat with sticky fingers, his face burning. Is there a connection, between the blood rushing to his cheeks, and the migration of his pulse? He knows there's a connection between Kon's palms on his skin and the movement of his heart, at least, but this is-
"Yeah?" he says, and Kon's grin gets bigger.
"I am never ever letting you forget this."

Okay, this is a crossover based off of @somerandomdudelmao’s Marble Sky and CAS series. While I was reading this post I was like “they should have a crossover” and this came to me like a month later while I was sleeping. If Ecliptica seems off it’s because I wanted to write some protective Uncle Tello and Casey Junior scenes. … IT WAS FUN OKAY. This takes place around the latest Marble Sky update (as of 6-18-2024).
Oscar had been talking to Ecliptica, just having a little chat, like what they used to do. Oscar had to slip away from Ward and Holly to do this. He was trying to get information without being too suspicious, while trying not to give away information. You know, classic spy stuff. Alcor was with them too, snoozing away in Oscar’s lap.
“So~” Oscar said, stroking the fur on Alcor’s head. “I was thinking—”
“My Moon?” a voice interrupted him. It was another Marmor. He looked nervous, his tail flicking.
Ecliptica tilted her head towards him, an annoyed look on her face. “Yes, yes, what is it?”
The other Marmor gulped. “There’s a bit of a… situation in Lab B. We were testing the multi-dimensional portal machine the scientists have been working on.” He was fiddling with his tail now. “There was a purple flash, and an unknown alien species appeared out of nowhere.” He glanced in Oscar’s direction. “There is a human with it. The unknown alien is particularly aggressive and protective of the human. We are trying to detain it, but we need your help, my Moon.”
Ecliptica stood up, staring at the wall for a few moments. She was probably using her echolocation thing. An explosion suddenly rang out, causing Alcor to scramble out of Oscar’s lap in surprise. She straightened. “Let’s go.”
“Another human?” Oscar butted in, running up to her side. “Can I come? Maybe I can help calm them down.” He needed to see if this new person could be an ally, and maybe stop the Marmors from eating them if Ecliptica decided to.
She glanced at him, a small smile on her face. “Okay. I’ll protect you.” She started walking towards the direction of the explosion. Oscar followed her and the other Marmor, hiding a grin of his own. I’m not that one that needs protection, Ecliptica… I’ll stop you soon enough.
———————————————————————
First of all, this was not Donnie’s fault. Sure, maybe the time portal needed a few adjustments, but it wasn’t capable of something of this scale! He had programmed it to travel through time powered by Hamato ninpo. Not to travel to a weird alien (why did it have to be aliens) spaceship floating in the middle of fucking SPACE! And he hadn’t been expecting to accidentally take Casey Junior, of all people, with him.
He did a supply check. He was wearing his goggles, but not his battle shell. He quickly made one with his ninpo and put it on. Battle shell over a t-shirt was not a good idea, but he’d have to push through the discomfort for now. After surveying the room, and taking note of the ten aliens in the room with him (six looked like nerds while four actually looked dangerous, but more would likely be on the way soon), he put an arm in front of Casey, blocking him and moving in front of him protectively. “Stay back, Casey.”
“Uncle Tello?” Casey whispered, grabbing his arm. “Where are we?”
“That’s what I’m trying to figure out,” he murmured. “But stay next to me; they might be hostile.” Casey’s grip tightened.
Donnie cleared his throat, spreading his hands and holding them up. “Good evening, gentlemen, and ladies, it seems there was a miscalculation in my time portal. We come in peace.”
The aliens finally reacted. The four that looked dangerous held up their shields and drew their swords. Well, to be honest, the swords looked more like glow-in-the-dark cattle prods. Five others started panicking, while the one closer to him was examining him curiously. Donnie didn’t like that feeling. A smile spread across the alien’s face as he noticed Casey. Oh, Donnie definitely did not like that. He let out a threatening hiss as the curious alien came closer, still eyeing his nephew. Well, the ‘eyes’ didn’t exactly look like eyes. Instead, they looked like black holes on their faces. He put that away for later. For the sake of simplicity, he would keep calling them eyes for now.
The alien scrambled back, ducking behind one of the armed guards and darting out the door. Greeeeaaaat. “Sorry about that,” Donnie said, trying to salvage the situation. “I like my personal space. Do you speak English?”
One of the guards stepped forward. “Yes, creature.” He motioned to the other guards, who moved forward with him. “Surrender, or we will alert our Moon.” He licked his lips. “And we might not eat you.”
Donnie stiffened. “Yeah, not a big fan of the getting eaten part. So, ah, no. Not surrendering. But I’m sure we could work out a deal?” He wasn’t as adept at smooth talking as Leo, but no one could outsmart him.
“… No,” the alien purred. “Surrender, now.”
A smile tugged at Donnie’s lips. “Ah, okay. We’re doing it the hard way it seems.” He imagined blueprints in his head, feeling metal build upon metal and gears click into place. He summoned a barrage of mystical guns and missile launchers. The shock on the head alien’s face was very satisfying. “Now, stay back, and let me talk to whoever is in charge here. Your ‘Moon’ I’m guessing?”
The alien snarled, taking a few more steps forward, jabbing his cattle prod. This one is brave, or just very stupid. Probably the latter. “We will not surrender in our own ship. Besides, you won’t scare us with your fake light show.”
“You aliens always ask for it,” Donnie snarled, thinking of the stupid air of superiority the Krang carried. Well, who’s on top now you pink bastards! I won’t allow my family to be pushed around by aliens ever again. He unleashed one of the triggers, causing an explosion (by the entrance wall of course, he did not desire to get sucked into space, thank you very much). “Was that fake?”
In the silence that followed, someone pulled a lever, chasing the room to turn blue as an alarm blared. He glanced down, making sure that Casey was still next to him. He was, looking out at the aliens with wide eyes.
The foolish alien bared his teeth at Donnie. “Our Moon will be here soon.” The softshell didn't miss the nervous tremble in his voice.
He shrugged. “Whatever, then maybe I’ll be able to have a conversation with someone civilized.” Casey snickered.
A few more moments of tense silence stretched out. That was, until, another alien ducked under the broken entrance and entered the room. The scientist that had run out of the room followed her. Donnie’s eyes widened as a human followed the aliens.
He then switched his attention to the first alien that had entered. She was tall, taller than Donnie and all the other aliens in the room. This made him feel a bit anxious, because Raph and the Krang were usually the only ones that were bigger than him. “Hello,” the alien rumbled. “My name is Ecliptica, and you are on my ship. Don’t worry, we won’t eat you. For now…” That sent a shiver down his spine. He noticed the other human staring at Casey. He pulled his nephew closer.
“Like I was explaining to your colleagues,” Donnie started. The other human’s eyes lit up with surprise. “I was building a time machine, and there was a mishap. I didn’t expect this to happen.” He glanced at the other human, who was still staring at him. “What kid, never seen a mutant before? I’m assuming you are also from planet Earth? Unless it’s called something else in this fucking dimension.”
Ecliptica drew up to her full height. “Now, no need to be feisty.” She glanced at the human beside her. “Give us your human pet, and we might spare your life.” He felt Casey press harder against him.
“Don’t fucking touch him,” Donnie snarled, his markings lighting up as he added more firepower to his display. “And he’s not my pet.”
The other human stepped forward, opening his mouth like he was about to say something, but was stopped by Ecliptica. She put a hand on his shoulder and knelt down, whispering something in his ear. She stood up, looking at him. “Not your pet? Then what is he? One of your slaves?”
Anger boiled in his chest. “No! And it’s none of your business.” If he told him that Casey was his nephew, they would just use him as leverage.
“Fine,” Ecliptica replied, holding up a clawed hand. “Then die.”
“Wait!” Donnie’s stomach tightened as Casey ducked out of his grip and approached Ecliptica. “Don’t. I’ll come with you.”
“Casey Junior!” Donnie yelped, his heart pounding. He hadn’t gone through literal hell and back just to lose Casey now. “Get back here right now, young man. Leo would kill me if anything happened to you.” He stared into Casey’s eyes. “I’m not losing you to aliens again.” It was probably not the best idea to expose his emotional trauma to everyone.
Casey’s eyes shimmered. “Don’t worry, Uncle Tello. I can take care of myself.”
Before Donnie could make another move, the other human came forward. “Woah, everybody chill.” He put a hand on Casey’s shoulder, prompting a low hiss from Donnie. Ecliptica snarled back. “My name is Oscar, resident human assistant/ambassador, I guess.” He turned to Ecliptica. “Anyways, let’s maybe not eat them for now? They could be useful.” Oscar smiled at Donnie. “This one’s probably super smart, based on the flashy display and oversized forehead. Also, look at that gear. Total brainiac. Besides, you let me, Ward, and Holly hang around, what’s two more?”
Donnie narrowed his eyes. “Scoff. Even if your flattery is weirdly accurate and truthful, nothing will be discussed until you give me back Casey.”
“Silly, alien,” Ecliptica tsked. “I will decide that. But… yes. You will stay with us for the time being. Until we decide what to do with you. Now, put away your weapons.” She leaned forward. “Though, I am curious on how it works.”
He crossed his arms. “First, Casey Junior. And our confirmed safety.”
He didn’t miss the twitch on Ecliptica’s face. It probably wasn’t the best idea to be acting and talking like this to their leader, but being subtle wasn’t one of his strong suits. “Yes, little alien, you can have your human back. And we won’t harm you.” There was a silent ‘for now’ following her words. If there was anything Donnie had learned, it was that aliens could not be trusted.
“Please stop calling me ‘little alien,’” Donnie said, his weapons disintegrating. “My name is Donatello. Donatello Hamato.” He walked towards Casey, keeping an eye on Ecliptica. “Thank you. Where can we stay?”
“You bros can bunk with me!” Oscar offered. “If that’s okay.”
“Yes,” Ecliptica answered, her tail flicking. “But, if you do anything Donatello, we will know.” She gave him a smile full of sharp teeth. “And it won’t end well for you.”
He waved his hand. “Yeah, yeah, we get it. You’re menacing.” He turned to Oscar before he could see Ecliptica’s expression. “Now, show us the way!”
Donnie kept a firm grip on Casey’s shoulder as Oscar led them down the hall.
———————————————————————
“Oke doke,” Oscar said as they stopped in front of a door. “Soooo, I have two roommates, but don’t worry! We have extra beds and they won’t try to eat you. Well, physically at least. Ward might try to eat you emotionally~ He’s such a downer.”
Donnie raised an eyebrow. “Uh, okay. By the way, are you spying on us for the rest of the aliens?”
Oscar leaned forward, his voice dropping to a whisper. “No. In fact, I’m far from it. I’ll explain more when we get in the room.” Donnie nodded in return.
Casey shuffled his feet. “Is Ward a human too?”
“Yep!” Oscar replied. “Ward is human, but Holly’s an alien.” A scowl immediately hit Donnie’s face. Oscar glanced at him. “Don’t worry, Holly’s super nice and peaceful. He’s only here because the Marmors destroyed his planet.”
“Marmors?” Donnie asked. “Are they what Ecliptica and the rest of those aliens are called?”
Oscar nodded. “Interesting,” Donnie murmured. “Anyways, I would like to get out of eyesight of the Marmors. If those are eyes on their faces.”
“Well, those aren’t eyes,” Oscar said. “They’re more like holes in their faces. They use it for echolocation or something like that. Also, Holly explained it to me, but they have this hive mind thing where they all see what each other see.” He shrugged. “So they can’t hear us, but they can see what we’re doing.”
“Shit,” Donnie cursed. “Well, that’s great, he said sarcastically.” He hated hive minds. Too creepy and close to the Krang.
Oscar chuckled. “I like you! Anyways, let me go and explain the situation.” He tapped the panel on the side and the door slid open. He practically burst into the room. “WARD, HOLLY, WE HAVE NEW ROOMMATES!!!”
There was a thunk and a yell of pain. A middle aged looking guy appeared, a grumpy frown on his face. “Seriously, Oscar? You made me fall off the bunk bed.”
“That sounds like a you problem,” Oscar said, flipping his tied up hair. “Besiiides, we have new roommates! And guess what? They’re both from earth from a different dimension!” He stepped aside and gestured to them. “Come inside. We don’t bite~”
Donnie rolled his eyes, slightly ducking through the doorway and entering the room, glancing back at Casey as he followed him.
The guy’s eyes widened. “Oscar, I thought you said they were from earth? This one looks like an alien.”
“I'm not a fucking alien,” Donnie explained again through gritted teeth. “I am a mutant turtle. There’s a big difference.”
“Ward?” someone called. Another guy entered the room, except this one was wearing some kind of armor, had purple hair, and had an eyepatch. It painfully reminded Donnie of Raph. “Did you hear that explosion…” His voice trailed off as he noticed Donnie and Casey. His eyes brightened. “Hello! My name’s Holly. Can I touch you?”
“Hi, Holly. No.”
The alien smiled gently. “Please. I promise I won’t hurt you.”
“Sigh,” Donnie said, holding out his arm. “Go ahead.”
“Did you tell him?” Donnie heard Ward mutter.
“No, why?” Oscar responded.
Casey turned to them, his voice angry. “Tell him what?”
“Cas—” Donnie started to say, but was cut off by a flash of soft, purple light. The softshell turned around, his breath catching in his throat.
In Holly’s place… was another mutant turtle. He was wearing the same clothes as Holly, including the eye patch. He was as tall as Donnie, but without the goggles. There was a lavender colored stripe running from his lower lip, along his throat, and disappearing into the color of his shirt. Looks like a Blanding’s turtle, his tired brain supplied.
“Great,” Donnie grumbled, his voice dripping with sarcasm. “He can shapeshift. Awesome.”
Holly inspected his new form, eyes wide with curiosity. “This is cool. I feel strong.”
“Yeah, that’ll be the super soldier genetics,” Donnie said.
“Super soldier?” Ward’s voice was shrill with disbelief.
Donnie closed his eyes, pinching the bridge of his beak. “Is now really the time for my origin story? Of course it is. Me and my brothers were mutated by a warring warrior scientist to destroy humanity. Don’t worry, our dad got to us before that could happen,” he added, imagining the looks on Ward and Oscar’s faces. He clapped his hands. “Anyways, my name is Donatello. But call me Donnie. I’ve had enough of being called Master Donatello in the last twenty something years to last me a lifetime.”
“Hi,” Casey said, holding out his hand. “My name is Casey Jones Junior. You can call me Casey or CJ.”
Instead of grabbing his hand and shaking it, Holly excitedly shook his hand around. “Shaking hands is fun!” There was a flash and he turned back into his human form.
“So, how does the shapeshifting work?” Casey asked, staring up at Holly’s face.
Holly smiled. “Well you see. I have to be touching the creature and—”
Donnie started tuning out the conversation, but paying attention. He was also curious, but he wanted to talk to Ward and Oscar.
Oscar was way too much like Leo for Donnie’s liking, the last thing he needed was a dumb-dumb that always smooth-talks his way into trouble. It was also making him slightly homesick but that doesn’t matter right now! What matters is finding a way off this spaceship and back to his own dimension.
Ward seemed… eternally tired. He might even have a bigger Raph chasm than, well, Raph! Now that was alarming. The softshell also didn’t miss how jumpy he seemed. Donnie flashed him a smile. “Sooo, first time?”
Ward gave him a wary glance. “W-what?”
“Y’know. First time dealing with murderous aliens?”
“Um,” Ward said, a confused look in his eyes. “No! Why? Have you done this more than once?!”
“Eh,” Donnie replied, waving his hand vaguely. “Not exactly. In my dimension, the Krang took over the world and basically killed everyone. Casey went back in time and, with my help, brought us all back to life.” Ward looked confused and alarmed now.
“So~” Oscar said, shoving Ward away in the face. “Is Casey your nephew? You said you had brothers. Is he Leo’s son?”
“Yes, but it’s more of an adopted family situation,” Donnie explained. “His mother was one of our best friends. So when she died, we decided to take care of him.” He could hear the nostalgia in his words. Damn, he sounded old. “Leo’s always been more of a father figure, while the rest of us have been more of cool uncles. I have three brothers, and one sister. Leonardo is my twin. Raphael is my oldest brother, and Michelangelo is my youngest. April is like a sister to us.”
Oscar smirked. “Ah, all renaissance artists huh?”
“I’m surprised you know who those people are,” Ward grumbled, nudging him.
“Whaaaaat,” Oscar said. “I know stuff! My family has a lot of art from them.”
Ward rolled his eyes. “Of course.” Okay, Donnie liked Ward.
Donnie felt someone tug on his shirt. “Uncle Tello?”
He turned around. “Casey Junior?”
Donnie bent down as Casey reached up. “I asked Holly,” his nephew whispered. “He said there is an alien species called the Krang.” A shiver ran down the softshell’s spine. “But the Marmors killed them off. I described the Krang to Holly, and he said that this version was a tiny, peaceful race.”
“Huh,” Donnie said, pulling away. “Well, at least they don’t exist anymore. Although, I’ll believe it when I see it. Also, Casey, about that stunt you pulled earlier…” He glared at his nephew, who shrank under his gaze. “WHAT THE FUCK WERE YOU THINKING! DON’T YOU DO THAT AGAIN, MISTER! OR YOU WILL BE GROUNDED. And that’s not a threat, it’s a promise.” Donnie patted him on the head. “You almost gave me a heart attack! Just don’t do that again.”
Casey rubbed the back of his head. “Yes, Master Donatello.”
Oscar moved in front of him. “Sorry to interrupt the lecture, but can you do magic? Based on your light display earlier, you seem pretty powerful.” He gave Casey a wink.
“Don’t try to distract me,” Donnie growled. “And it’s not magic. It’s my Hamato ninpo, passed down through generations of the Hamato Clan. And I’m assuming you are asking because you want our help getting out of here.”
Oscar put a finger to his lips. “Lower your voice, but yes. We’re actually working to bring down the Marmors.” He threw his arms out. “We can discuss this in the morning! For now, let’s get some sleep! Feel free to take any of the empty beds.”
The softshell just nodded, feeling too tired to respond. The situation was starting to sink in. Casey took his hand and led him to the next room, where there were more beds. “I claim top!”
Donnie took off his battle shell and flopped down on the bottom bed, letting out a deep sigh.
“Uncle Tello?” Casey questioned, looking at him upside down.
Donnie turned his head to look at him. “Yes, Casey Junior?”
His response was quiet. “How are we going to get back home? Everyone’s probably worried.”
“… I don’t know, Casey. I don’t know. But we’ll figure something out, we always do.”

Magicians Don't Need Superheros Pt24
First: Link Prev: Link Next: Link
----------
Marvin paused to tie his hair back into a more secure ponytail when he and Jackie reached the edge of the forest where the new Ego was due to arrive. Host’s vision granted them a few hours of grace before the new person…‘spawns’. That explained why Jackie seemed to have been waiting for Marvin when he showed up on that roof.
“Looks like a straight shot to the center from here,” Jackie said, tilting his head as he read his phone.
“I’d be less annoyed if it hadn’t rained earlier today. I hate mud.” Marvin muttered, tucking the stray strands of hair behind his ears.
“I mean, if you’re that worried about the mud.” Jackie turned his back toward Marvin. “I can give you some-”
“If you say ‘up up’, I’m kicking you face-first into a mud puddle.” Marvin cut Jackie off.
“Um…a piggyback ride?” Jackie’s tone gave away that he was absolutely about to say ‘up up’.
“I’ll be fine. Let’s just get whoever this new person is and go back to the House. Some tea, a book, and going to bed early sounds like heaven right now.” Marvin pushed a branch aside and started walking. Jackie was at his side a second later, trying to help move some of the lower-hanging branches out of both of their ways.
“I don’t get why stars were mentioned when he’s showing up in the afternoon,” Jackie commented after about a minute of silent hiking.
“Have all the Egos gotten that…vision thing?” Marvin asked.
“I think? I mean, like, I haven’t been told otherwise.” Jackie shrugged.
“So Host did a spiel of sorts about me?”
“Yeah.”
“What did he say? This guy has mentions of the stars, Mad was the whole opposite thing, what was my thing?” Marvin snapped off a small twig and stuck it into his pocket. He wanted to study the plant and see if he could use it with his magic. The plants of this reality seemed familiar enough, but he’s yet to take a deeper look into them.
“A hard shell with a soft heart.” Jackie pulled some branches back. He made an exaggerated gesture with his arm, had the biggest smile, and bowed a bit for Marvin to go first.
“About half-right.” Marvin joked as he walked through the opening.
“Nah, he got you pegged down,” Jackie said as he followed. “I mean, if he didn’t, you wouldn’t have made sure I wasn’t hurt during all of those falls.”
“You don’t have to have a soft heart to not want to kill a man.” Marvin rolled his eyes as he waited for Jackie to be at his side again.
“That might be true, but you’re still really nice.”
“Don’t give away my secrets.”
“My lips are sealed.” Jackie chuckled, pausing when he saw a figure in the distance. “There he is.” He said with a point. Marvin lowered Jackie’s hand and squinted a bit to try to get a better look at the new Ego.
“That’s not a Septiceye,” Marvin stated. “He doesn’t…feel right.”
“Maybe there’s a new-wait-” Jackie tilted his head. “That’s an Iplier. That’s weird. We don’t really do crossovers with this.”
“Maybe we should go back. It sounds like you guys have a system with this and everything is going against it.” Marvin suggested. He figured that if they were going to bail, they’d need to do it before they were noticed.
“There’s probably like some super-mega complicated stuff about this that we’d never understand,” Jackie said. “He looks just as confused as the rest of us did. I bet he needs some help.” He jogged off before Marvin could say anything else.
“I still don’t trust this,” Marvin said to himself.
Call him overly-cautious but he stayed back and hidden from the new Ego. The element of surprise was always good to have. He also recalled Anti’s comment about favoring the left and his gut told him to trust it. Marvin kept his eyes on Jackie as he moved through the trees, feet glowing as he made himself silent, going until he was to the left of the two.
“Hey!” Jackie greeted, waving and going to the man.
“Who are you?” The man asked, turning and showing the red, sharp spiral around one of his eyes. Marvin was too far away to see if it was painted, tattooed, or carved on the skin. None of those options sounded too hard to believe.
“Jackieboyman or Jackie for short,” Jackie answered, bouncing a little on his feet. “I’m here to-”
“I don’t have time for this.” The man held a hand up and started walking.
“I’m here to help.” Jackie skipped a little to get in front of the man and finished his previous sentence. “I’m a hero.” He had a proud puff to his chest.
“And I have important places to be.” The man scoffed and walked past Jackie again. “I do not have the patience to deal with some child playing pretend.”
“Child?” Jackie looked a little offended at that. “And pretend? It’s not pretend, I am a hero. I’m super strong and fast and cool and-”
“Enough.” The man turned and backhanded Jackie across the face.
Marvin felt his heart leap at that.
Time to give some hell.
Marvin’s feet continued to glow as he took off, sticking to the left had him at the perfect angle to rush the man. He braced his body before slamming his shoulder into the man’s side and making him fall over. Marvin used the magic on his feet to prevent himself from falling over with him, sparks of green magical energy came off him before they and the glowing faded.
“That was totally wicked!” Jackie exclaimed, throwing his arms up in the air. “I didn’t know you could do awesome stuff like that!”
“There’s a lot to still learn about me.” Marvin chuckled. “I-” He stopped when he felt something on his chest. Looking down he saw the man up on one knee with a red and black glowing hand on him. Marvin had a good feeling what kind of spell was about to be used on him. “Oh, fuck you.” He got out before a surge of magic went through him and he was sent flying, landing right in the center of a mud puddle.
“Marv!” Jackie rushed over and was with Marvin in the next blink. “Holy shit, are you okay? Anything broken? I can go full fireman and-”
“There’s mud in my hair!” Marvin wailed, wanting to gag at how horrible of a feeling wet mud was and it got so uncomfortable when it dried.
“Just a little.” Jackie tried to get some of the mud out with his fingers. He looked over his shoulder and saw that the man was gone, likely using the push as a distraction to get away. “Henrik’s got this like hair mask thing you could borrow and-your eyes!” Jackie shouted the last part when he saw Marvn’s face.
“My eyes!? What about yours!?” Marvin had the same panic in his voice as Jackie.
“They’re red!” The two yelled at the same time.

could i please request mammon with a reader who has extreme anxiety, so at first they just followed him around like a duckling would its mother and always looked to him out of everyone for help with things?
~generally, theyre just obviously most comfortable with him and favor him most because of it; being more expressive and stuff around him while being more on the reserved, shy side with the rest of his brothers. id just imagine him pretending to be annoyed but secretly enjoying the attention lolol!
"It is the fear of the unknown that makes you stick to what's familiar, a sense of home in a foreign place."
Mammon x gn! reader (ft. Leviachan)
✧・゚: *✧・゚:*
Home is a place for your heart to rest at ease, and in the depths of the devildom— it simply could not. It is quite the peculiar opportunity you were given, living among creatures who are different from you, and allegedly, stay protected. Perhaps even too good to be a real opportunity, but who can blame the human for fearing for their life? It is in fact, a constant worry for the fragile, feeble human race. It isn't a surprise that you had latched onto the nearest, closest form of a warm human connection you could've achieved in the short time upon your arrival.
Mammon is not like the others. Maybe it’s his withstanding patience, or maybe it’s the deep, intent gaze he's wearing every time you express even an inkling of fear, focusing on validating your emotions while simultaneously, assuring you of your guaranteed safety. With him by your side, you had almost forgotten of your whereabouts, and the creatures lurking around the corners, possibly just waiting for a moment you're alone. For this reason, letting him venture on his own, away from your vicinity, is something you are too afraid to do.
"Human, I told you to stop following me. It's too annoying, I have things to get to- places to be. I can't have ya on my arm all day like a lost puppy." Mammon mutters, shaking his head as you request to accompany him on his schedules. "Why don't ya go play with Levi or something?" He suggests, regretting it almost instantly when he notices your eyes drooping with dejection. However, this is a teaching moment for him, as he expects the rest of his brothers to protect you as well, and to develop some sort of a connection, or a sense of responsibility, at the very least. And with a heavy heart, he leaves.
You're unsure of what you're supposed to do; should you wait in your room, alone? Or is that a bit too- pathetic? You didn't want to use this word, but that is indeed the way you feel. You look down the dim hallway, wondering if you should take up on Mammon's suggestion. After all, he is in fact trying to help, right? And you should, eventually, step out of your shell, because it could be fun- maybe. Your legs are trembling as they lead you right outside the door of Leviathan's room, shaky fingers curl before they make contact with the cold, coated material.
"What is it?" The reply is immediate, flustering you as it sounds querulous enough to make you want to back away. Before you do, however, the door swings open, revealing an impatient looking demon- but his expression changes once he figures who's behind the door. "O-Oh, it's you. I thought it was one of my annoying brothers bothering me while I'm testing one of my new games." Say something, come on. You try to urge yourself, but the sounds just barely come out. "U-Um..." You stutter, hoping Levi doesn't shut the door in your face for taking too long to form a sentence.
"Do you... want to come in?" He offers, widening the gap between the door and it's frame as he gestures for you to enter. You thank him quietly and settle inside, the blue tint giving the room a strangely relaxing aura. "You like it? The colors?" Levi questions shyly, noticing your gaze being fixated on the decor.
It's a slightly awkward encounter to say the least, but if you already had to pick a brother to interact with while forcing yourself out of a crippling social anxiety, Levi is most likely a safe beginner's level choice as he's probably just as sheepish as you, if not more. Moreover, as soon as you start engaging with his hobbies, he does a big chunk of the talking, helping you ease into the situation and making you more comfortable around him by the minute. Perhaps Mammon knew what he was saying.
Time passes rather quickly. Engrossed in the flashing images on the screen, neither you or Levi pay attention when the door creaks open; at least not until an audible sigh is heaved, tearing your eyes away from the game the two of you bickered about. "You really are here..." Mammon breathes in relief. Was he... worried about you? No, it can't be, can it? "Not like I care! Or anything..." He quickly adds. "But I figured I'd find you in your room... waiting." Lowering his tone in the last word, he avoids your eyes.
"I was playing games with Levi!" You approach Mammon, full of glee. He offers a content smile and instinctively reaches to ruffle your hair before retracting his hand back, cheeks tinted at his sudden gesture. "Excuse me? It wasn't just games, it was THE game. Exuberant story telling with a cutthroat plot projected in the latest high definition graphics aspects, the animation is so good it feels like the characters are trying to murder us in real life!!" Leviathan intervenes, thankfully cutting through your blundering interaction with Mammon.
Later that night, Mammon finds yet another silly excuse in order to be let inside your room; sprawled on your bed, he watches as you prepare your backpack for the next day. "Did you have fun with Levi?" He blurts out, causing you to avert your gaze back to him and nod in agreement. "But not too much fun, right?" He raises an eyebrow, seating up from his previous position. "What are you talking about?" You chuckle, accompanying him on the bed as you take a seat next to him.
"Ya know I only rejected you so that you can be closer with the rest of my brothers, right? You need to be bustin' it with other demons here so that ya'll can have fun even when I'm not around. But... I mean, you can't get too comfy with them, ya feel? You're still my human, even if its burdensome to take care of ya-" He pauses, waiting for a reaction from you, but only to be met with silence on your part. "Okay... it's actually not that burdensome- or at all. I like havin' you around and I wouldn't mind if you were hangin' with me all day- but I'm doing this for you! You should show all these peeps what you got, y'know?" Mammon gently tugs on your sheets as he speaks, purposely looking away from you. He twitches at the abrupt sensation of your weight on his shoulder, glancing back at you to realize you are laying your head on him. "I know, you were looking out for me."
He grins, encircling his arm around you to pull you closer. "I'll always look out for you, human."

hi from another veryy shy person! was it hard to feel comfortable on vrchat/SL for you at first? i always get too timid to play with or meet others comfortably just bc im unsure how to participate … could i ask you for any tips to start for ppl like us and how to have more fun / break out of our shell on games like that?
With VR Chat and Second Life specifically, I always feel the need to emphasize the atmosphere in these games can be highly unpredictable and a good half of the time I run into a lot of unpleasant people. My method for this is to block as quickly as I can and not entertain these any further, so if you are curious about either of these just be aware that they can and will house really annoying and bad people a lot of the time….BUT with that being said, with VR Chat specifically I find a lot of folks on there are already in a similar boat. There is a ton of equally shy, but also curious people and I find that usually the quickest way of getting into a conversation with someone is finding someone with an avatar that is from a game/show/whatever you enjoy. It is much easier to figure out common interests off the bat and usually people there just love to talk about that type of stuff.
People on vr chat tend to also be stuck in goofy, usually light hearted pseudo roleplay improv type of stuff. I’ll go to the McDonald’s world and idle behind the cash register sometimes and people love to come up and pretend order random shit so sometimes you can establish banter right away LOL I think my best interactions have consistently been with people I stumble into that just want to get a good bit going. I am still thinking about this Skeletor avatar that clasped me by the shoulder and asked if I’d like to see a land where the receipts stretch for miles and he walked me over to a Walgreens.
For games like Second Life, voice chat is optional and texting is much more efficient. This is a much older game that also has been kind of closed off since its initial popularity has waned and generally speaking people take it much more seriously than VR Chat. It leans on the more older side, so usually I am the youngest player in a sim by over 10-20ish years if it is just me and my friends are not also with me. It’s one of these games where it is best explored with at least one other person until you fully get the hang of things, and also just a bit difficult to find active areas. Most the people here also kind of just are there to talk, avatars are much more personalized than how the general public of VR Chat’s tends to be and I find that asking questions or just simply going oh I love how you did xyz to your look! Usually can go a long way. They also have much more elaborate profiles and you can use that as a reference to go off of, you can tell who might not be interested in small talk very easily on there LOL
Second Life I would say might be a bit more difficult to comfortably socialize in for beginners just because of its history and how the userbase is known to act. I have a lot more content warnings to give about this game than I do VR Chat because of how much bigger it is
I always do my best to usually remain polite, I avoid a lot of humor that would be reserved for people who I would have known for ages—stuff like playful rudeness comes across as overfamiliar almost all the time and can also lead to misunderstandings especially if someone is a stranger. It’s a biiiit difficult to try and figure out a good starting point to offer advice for just because these games are so expansive and come with such crazy varieties. If you have any more questions let me know as I tend to kind of go off onto a ramble and don’t know if this. Fully answers things or not. 😅

prev // next // series m.list
pairing: choi san x reader
word count: 9.1k
warning: allusion to traumas, pervert san, some smut (read at ur own risk!)
your stomach drops at the sight of the large crowd, and that loud, unpleasant sound of the music blasting through the speakers already grating to your ears, your feet tempting to turn back around.
"wow," yuna says in awe, your eyes moving to her.
the weekend you so long have been waiting for finally comes, meaning so does wooyoung's party.
a quiet sunday that's about to flip completely; your heart already beating alarmingly inside your chest just at the thoughts of meeting the boy who invitedly you so kindly with such a handsome smile on his face.
yunho has decided to sit this one out, but yuna filled in the spot pretty quickly, after seeing her mope around the dorm with no plans for tonight, you asked if she wanted to come along.
it's going to be her first ever college party.
"shut up! you're really going?" mingi squeals a little too loudly, you have to merely double check the area again.
you nod at the question, chin bumping the top of the textbook being hugged as you both continue on the path with light steps.
"this is all because of that guy, huh? san?"
you shoot mingi a daggering glare and shush him with an index finger, fear raising at the name drop.
"it is!" he cheers too excitedly, like he's cracked you, forgetting about just everything you told him not to do.
"it's not!" you counter.
mingi moves from the side to in front, halting your movements so suddenly, your toes nearly dig into the ground.
"is that a blush i see," he teases, amusement written all over his delivery.
"oh my gosh, mingi!" you whine, stepping around him to continue along the narrow path.
a cackle is heard from behind until he catches up, shoulder touching yours again.
"jesus, y/n. what exactly did that guy do at the party? you were giving him lovey dovey eyes the entire time we were at the restaurant."
you swallow down a nervous gulp. because if mingi noticed, you wonder if the rest at the table did as well. fuck.
"i told you, it's nothing! i just... i just want to get out of my shell a little bit," you lie through your teeth. and of course, it doesn't work. not on mingi.
he chuckles and shakes his head.
"this is the same girl that didn't even want to show up to her own graduation, and now you're trying to convince me you're all for a place full of drunk and annoying people?"
you shrug, putting on an act.
"people can change."
"right, and i think i know the exact reason why."
there's a few seconds of silence, you hoping that he will just let it slide because you're not in the headspace to be confronted about your crush on san.
"but, that's a good thing," he adds.
you snap to him, your eyebrows pinched together and in utter surprise, because you did expect him to maybe go off about the gut feeling he has about san, similar to yunho.
"it's about time you get laid."
"pfft!" you scoff, and almost choked.
"i'm forreal!"
but you don't want to just get laid, or let it be a one time thing. you want something more than that.
"he looks like he gives good head, you're going to have the best first orgasm of your life."
"gosh, mingi! keep your fucking volume down!" you nudge him, flustered.
"no, actually, I don't know that. you could've already finger--ouch!"
mingi cries out pain when you land a hit to his foot with your own.
"that's what you get for having such a big damn mouth," you hiss, sticking a tongue out at him and walking ahead.
"rude!" he comments, before limping the rest of the way.
"okay, so how about this. we go shopping later this afternoon and get you the sluttiest party outfit ever. you know, hot bitches stuff."
you look up at him, disbelief in your expression.
"are you, my literal best friend, trying to pimp me out?"
"no," he denies casually, "i'm just excited that love isn't completely dead to you yet, after what happened the last time."
you roll your eyes. "whatever. don't sour the mood."
"oh! so it is what i think it is," he takes the chance to annoy you even further.
"no! i just... want to get to know him a little better..."
"that's what they all say at first, and before you know it--ouch!"
after telling mingi that, no, you're not showing up to the party half naked since you already have an outfit planned, he still insisted on pushing the shopping spree date back just in case.
but you're just glad he finally stopped interrogating you about the jacket that looks familiar, because yes, it belongs to san, and yes, he asked you to wear it to the party.
"hold tight, ladies. don't get lost," mingi announce, grabbing at your wrist, and you continuing the pattern by grabbing yuna's.
he guides the way inside the house, the limited space causing his grip on you to tighten, and you equally returning the strength to the poor roommate, knowing how effortlessly it takes to get lost in such a setting.
you guys make it to the same corner, the couch to the right that was a lot more stained last time but now looking like it's been somewhat sanitized.
you get to spare a single glance at it, before wooyoung pops out. no drinks in his hand; all open arms and ready to give some bro handshake to mingi.
"hey, man!" he greets.
"hey!"
he then catches you in a staring contest and a bigger smile quirks up at the realization.
"hey, y/n! you really came!"
you return a small nod.
you did come. but it's already defeating that the one reason you're showing up for is nowhere in sight. you just thought maybe, just maybe, since san so eagerly invited you, he might be with wooyoung for the arrival.
just maybe.
"oh, and this is?" he refers to the new face; your roommate who you brought along, just patiently hanging off by the side and waiting for her turn.
"hi! i'm yuna!" she holds out a hand immediately, a complete contrast to how you were at first meeting. even she doesn't flinch when wooyoung delivers a kiss to the top of it.
"nice to meet you, yuna." he smiles. "you guys roommate?"
"yup," she answers.
"lots of roommates situation lately," he remarks, "everyone's been wonderf--"
"--woo!" he's interrupted when another voice comes into attention. a male you haven't seen before, shoving through the abundance of people until he comes into wooyoung's view.
there's a troubled look on him as he goes to inform the much shorter boy.
"there's some wacko in the back stirring up troubles again."
wooyoung's stance changes from relaxed to annoyed, releasing an irritated click of his tongue.
"these fucking losers, i swear," he mumbles under his breath before turning to the three of you. "i'll be right back. have to make sure none of these fuckers leave any of their shit on my property."
"seonghwa, keep them entertained," he speaks to the taller male, and begins making way to the back, yelling for people to make space as he goes.
"what's going on?" mingi's the one to ask.
"a fight," seonghwa answers, "they happen more than you think, so just heads up. i guess that's just bound to happen when anyone can come. woo really gotta start taking those invitations seriously."
"so all this time, we could've just showed up?" mingi pretends to be offended. "or are we literally the only ones who actually got an invitation."
"well, at least that means wooyoung actually wants you guys here. everyone else just enters through the front door. not that wooyoung cares. for him, the more the better. but because of it, we get this shit show."
"yeah, i remember hearing about something similar happening the last time, around the front of the house. can wooyoung not afford any security guards?" mingi pokes fun.
seonghwa lets out a low chuckle.
"then that means his parents will hear about all the troubles going on, and a little disastrous party is better than none at all."
mingi nods in understanding. "true."
"oh, right!" something suddenly comes over him. "this is the sophomore i was telling you about, y/n."
the sophomore that he left with wooyoung to go hang out with, that lead you right into the chest of an incredibly charming stranger who's still yet to make an appearance.
"hey," you offer a greeting that sounds more like a whisper; seonghwa sending one right back, but with more enthusiam.
the conversation continues in a similar fashion; introducing one another and smiles plastered on your guys' faces, until it just keeps going on and on.
unable to keep up with the topics and feeling like you don't have much to offer anyways, you once again, end up on the couch as you watch everyone else like a bystander.
the jacket still on feels like it's taunting you more as the night carries on. your eyes trailing from one side to another; the people on the dance floor, and then to your friend group off by the corner, all chatting and looking like they're having a good time at least.
maybe after all, it was wrong to come just because a boy asked you to, knowing if san's request wasn't so tempting, you'd be with yunho right now, working on assignments or studying the night away.
you sigh, keeping your focus on the friend group. yuna is laughing at something seonghwa said and mingi has a smile on his face. the two got along pretty fast, it's like you didn't even need to be the middle man at all.
smalls talks and making friends must be so easy for someone like yuna--you knowing how easy it is for mingi. not having to worry if you'll say something stupid or worst case scenario, scare them away because you're just that boring.
wooyoung finally comes back after some time, bringing along someone new at his side, you wonder just how many more introductions you're going to have to witness before the end of the night.
"look who i bumped into. mother fucking kim hongjoong." he slaps said boy on the back, making him chuckle.
"why are you so suprised for? you literally invited me, you maniac."
"a maniac who hasn't seen his friend in fucking forever. where the hell have you been?"
"i've been... busy," hongjoong replies, aloof.
wooyoung rolls his eyes; the rest watching in amusement.
"well, since you're here, how about we play a drinking game?"
hongjoong shakes his head.
"no can do. i have to be out of here within an hour."
"seriously?" wooyoung whines, and even you giggle a little at the scene.
it's now a party of five, or six--including you, you don't really know. but you're glad mingi's making friends and yuna is fitting in perfectly. it's just you whose spirits is getting worse by the moment, thinking to yourself if san is even here tonight at all.
wooyoung hasn't mentioned him and there doesn't seem to be any other telltale signs.
you didn't really think anyone from the group would notice, besides mingi who keeps glancing once in a while to check on you. but it's been more than a couple times that you accidentally catch hongjoong's gaze in yours, only to shyly look the other way immediately.
it might be a coincidence, but seeing as how he's literally making way over to you right now after whispering something to mingi, you think he caught on to your pitiful state.
"hey," he says softly, taking the seat right beside you--you clearing your throat and fidgeting awkwardly.
"hey."
"not much for parties, huh?"
you slowly shake your head. there's just something about you that gives it away, considering this is the second time you're hearing such a thing.
"your friends didn't force you to come, now did they?" he jokes lightheartedly, causing a smile to crack on you.
"nah. it was all my doing, but i'm already starting to have second thoughts."
hongjoong giggles at the pessimistic tone.
"i understand. if it wasn't for that asshole wooyoung always pestering me, i wouldn't show either. i mean, it can be fun. you just gotta be the right person for it, you know."
you agree with a nod, a more faint smile on your lips from the remark directed at wooyoung.
"i'm hongjoong," he properly announce.
"y/n."
the more the conversation drags on, you find yourself shifting his way more and more, until you're at least comfortable enough meeting his eyes even if just for a few seconds.
"you're also a freshman, correct?"
you find that the sequence usually consists of him asking you a question and you answering with just a nod. but something about hongjoong, even if this is your first time speaking to him, makes you feel so comfortable.
he's very easy to talk to and despite your short replies, never fails to carry on the conversation.
with hongjoong, it's almost like you're speaking to an older brother; one that you want to listen to, because you think he might have something important to say.
it feels a lot more different than san; wanting to listen to him because his words are like the call of a siren, and his smile and eyes lures you into the deepest temptations.
temptations that are slowly but surely dying because you're ready to accept it at this rate that san will not be showing.
"you go to the same school as the rest?" hongjoong asks another question.
"yeah. i-i haven't seen you around before," you answer, crawling out of the shell bit by bit.
he releases a short giggle.
"i attend another university not too far from here, but i visit the area sometimes."
"oh..." you say, mouth drawing an 'o' shape. well, that explains it.
"have you decided your major, yet?"
"i have. i'm uh... majoring in information technology."
"oh, cool!" he beams. "i haven't heard of much women going into that field. how are you liking your classes so far?"
"they're okay. just intro classes and the usual general educations. i don't think i've seen anything yet."
he chuckles.
"oh, definitely not. i heard it only gets harder. but best of luck to you, y/n. you can do it."
"thank you," you mumble, the shell coming off almost completely when you go to ask him the same question. you don't want it to just be about you, because you are just the tiniest bit curious about kim hongjoong, too.
"how about you?"
"creative writing," he says, waiting for your reaction but you're exceptionally unmoved.
"usually when i tell anyone that, they always say i look like a music major."
you snicker quietly.
"you do, but, you're also definitely believable as a writing major."
he delivers an endeared smile your direction.
"that's a first. but thanks. if you told me a couple years ago that i'd end up choosing writing, i wouldn't believe it either. it was never really something i was ever into or cared too much for growing up." he pauses briefly.
"but there was a tough period in my life, and to deal with it, i kind of just started journaling and writing my thoughts down onto whatever paper or notebooks i could find, and it made me feel a little better afterward."
he spares you a glance for a second too long and starts laughing nervously.
"i'm sorry, for dumping all that information on you first meeting."
you shake your head, objecting.
"no, no. you're fine. that sounds interesting. i'd love to know more about how you got into writing," you assure him. a simple smile gracing his features.
"have you ever had intrusive thoughts that keeps you awake at night? or things that just, no matter how hard you try pushing to the back of your mind, you can't seem to get rid of?"
you have to actually take a moment and consider the questions. at least not currently, you cannot think of anything. so you shake your head.
"well, writing down my thoughts at the moment was kind of my way of countering those feelings, and somewhere along the way, i just found my love for writing."
"i mean, i'm not saying if you start journaling, you're all of a sudden going to find your love for writing, too, but just advising maybe if something ever bothers you and you need to let off some steams. sometimes you don't necessarily need to talk to someone; it's just a way of comforting you for the time being. for you to look back on and reflect on what you were feeling back then. but of course, that's only the first step."
the passion burning in his eyes is almost visibe; the words leaving him and how they're conveyed, you can tell it is something from the heart; from a place of sincerity.
"i'll think about it." you smile, and he returns one.
"joong! y/n! over here!" both of your heads snap to the voice, belonging to wooyoung and he's ushering with his hand.
"let's go," hongjoong mumbles, standing up and waiting for you until you're both walking back to the circle of friends.
"so, we're having a bet. wanna put your money down?" wooyoung enlightens, earning a groan from hongjoong.
"again? the last time we betted something, the cop almost busted your ass for prank calling them. if you want your parents to take away your privilege of having a house off campus, just say so."
you giggle a little; the interaction giving it away that hongjoong pretty much looks out for the other boys.
"you're no fun," wooyoung boos, rolling his eyes.
another round of fun banters between the group are exchanged, but you already begin feeling like you want to leave, after only being met with disappointment from the one person you came for.
but at least you got to know hongjoong and can go back tonight with a small victory that you actually talked to him. which is why you really want to leave once hongjoong takes his official departure of the night as well.
it's been a literal hour, and mingi can sense the shift in you, a part of him feeling sorry knowing you were probably swarming with butterflies before the arrival.
but it just isn't right to ask, also aware you'll probably step on his foot again if he even dares to say san's name out loud.
mingi opens his mouth to make an excuse for you, only to stop when an arm is thrown over wooyoung's neck from behind; the culprit coming into full view, and he doesn't even have to look to know how ecstatic you probably are.
"hey!" san greets the group.
"oh, look who finally decided to show." wooyoung turns to his friend and untangle the hold off of him.
san chuckles and situates himself next to wooyoung, nodding off mingi's direction.
"sup!"
mingi respond with a raise of his head back. that's when san moves to you, his gaze biting deep and you feel yourself cowering in. if he will take in and appreciate the fact that you did exactly what he asked of you.
"hey, y/n. you really came," he says with a lower volume, settling on a tender smile.
"yeah."
it's all he gives you before prying away, eyes already on the next person. no reassurances or anything that will make you feel just the slightest bit better about waiting for him all this time.
all as if he wasn't so keen on getting you to come. he barely even acknowledges the jacket on you, like it doesn't belong to the man himself.
"don't think i've ever seen you before," his comment directed at your roommate.
"hi! i'm yuna!" she holds out a hand; you watching in apprehension as san goes to shake it with some type of mirth in his eyes that makes your stomach sinks in the worst way possible.
but you shouldn't be feeling like this. there's no reason for you to be so bothered about how he's looking at your roommate right now--or how she's holding his gaze right back with some form of fascination.
you thought maybe san's appearance might dispel some of the doubts building up, but it's having the complete opposite effect, and at the moment, there's nothing you want more than to disappear, feeling like the entire thing was a mistake.
it also doesn't help that he's so charismatic, yuna's bubbling laugh ringing against your ear once in a while from the jokes he'd make--or maybe she laughs at all of the boys' jokes but you're just too hyperfocus on san.
you wish he's looking at you the way he's looking at her right now; intrigued eyes and attention hanging onto every words. he has yet to even look back at you ever since.
foolish; so foolish of you.
you think you're about ready to go back at this point, but with everyone talking over one another, it's hard to properly excuse yourself without coming off disrespectful.
if only mingi catches on as well, but he's too busy making small talks with seonghwa that eventually, when wooyoung suggests karaoke, you wind up in a room upstairs with all the others.
yuna takes the seat right next to san, causing you to sink in your spot and posture deflating more as the clock ticks.
the jacket on you sliding down your skin one by one until it's completely off and you can start feeling a little less pathetic about everything.
your curiosity still naturally averts to the two, chatting away like they've known each other right out of the wombs.
yuna looks like she might be san's type. you wouldn't really know. but she's pretty, her eyeliners are always perfectly winged and she makes heads turn when she passes by--so really, what is there about you that is worthy of being looked at when yuna's in the same room.
but surprisingly, you're not having too hard of a time accepting the reality of it. it's easy when you're accustomed to always being second place; second choice, and being a mere back thought.
a light headache creeps up, and the screeching voices of mingi's and wooyoung's out-of-tune's singing is adding to the misery.
you need to use the bathroom, or at the very least, sneak away to a space where you don't feel so suffocated. you leave san's jacket on the seat and leave unannounced, seeing as everyone's occupied within their own little bubble.
thank goodness wooyoung had made the location to the bathroom direct enough beforehand, or else you'd probably spend the whole night just looking for it.
you sit on the idea of staying in here until mingi comes looking for you, or perhaps, make your way back to the dorm and give both him and yuna some lame excuse later like your head hurt so you had to go back.
not like it has anything to do with a certain boy and his broken promises that's making you the slightest insecure from the lack of attention.
how weird, given you've never really put too much emphasis into anything like that--especially from a boy.
but san. you can admit you want it from him, and you weren't getting it. you can come to terms with it, and at the same time, allow yourself to be just a little sad.
between hiding in here and scuttling back to the dorm, you don't even get to choose because there's a knock at the door.
quickly drying your hand and throwing the paper towel into the small bin, you apologetically nod your head at the girl who's soon to take your place in the bathroom, giving her a shy smile as she passes by, slamming the door shut.
damn other human beings for having to take care of their needs.
you sigh in defeat, thinking that maybe, you'll just head back and explain yourself later; the image of san and yuna snuggling so close to one another conjuring up a bile in the back of your throat.
and suddenly, it all happens very fast.
an unseen figure from the side snatches your wrist and hauls you away into what looks like a closet. you're about to release a string of muffled protests, until the light comes on and all the fear dissipates, seeing who it is.
"sorry, didn't mean to scare you," san says, an apologetic smile on his face and letting go of the hold he has on you.
just as you were about to forget about him and accept your losses, he decides to show up again--making your heart pound immensely because of the proximity.
you take a nervous step back and utter in such a quiet, doubtful voice, "w-were you looking for me?"
your lips draw into the tiniest pout; san thinking someone shouldn't look this cute when they're sad, though he's noticed you being adorable too many times tonight.
he's stolen countless glances, all with a smirk at the corner of his lips, but you didn't seem to catch on--probably too busy thinking he doesn't care about you--or maybe he wants you to think that.
wants you to believe that he's so intrigued by your roommate though he doesn't remember a single thing she's said to him.
"i was. you left this."
he pulls something into your view, and your eyes swell a little, seeing that it's his jacket.
neatly adjusting it around your shoulders and tugging on the collar so it can hug your smaller frame more firmly, you feel a rise beginning to settle on your cheeks--the small gesture taking your breath away.
"i just thought maybe you forgot about it..." you mumble, similar to a whisper.
he smiles and using the grip on the collar, pulls you inward with a jerk, releasing a short gasp that falls from your lips when your chest bumps into his.
lips that are almost way too close to his right now, if you just dive in a little more, it just might.
because yes, he didn't really acknowledge you earlier and was all over yuna, but he's here now. he came looking for you and he remembered the request.
and just like that, you feel yourself falling into the temptations again.
"of course i didn't. just, everyone else was there. you would understand, right?"
it takes a quick silence for you to nod, convincing yourself that what he's telling you is the truth. that there really was just too many people and the timing wasn't right. that it's not because he was purposely ignoring you or trying to string you along.
"the rest are drunk as shit right now. you want to go home?" he asks, breath ghosting the tip of your skin and returning goosebumps. the limited space and his face only inches away not making it any easier.
"i do, but i wouldn't want to leave yuna and mingi in that state."
he chuckles, admiring the fact you always look out for those close to you.
"well, everyone else besides yuna. wooyoung should have someone help mingi later on. if not, he's got plenty of spare bedrooms for him to spend the night," he assures, like he knows the layout of wooyoung's house at the back of his head--which he does.
"oh, okay..."
"you got classes in the morning, don't you?"
"yeah..." you answer, refusing to meet his penetrative gaze that makes you so shy.
he smirks at the endearing sight, taking it as a victory even if you're always as red as a tomato either way.
"let's go," he declares, taking your hand in his in the same fashion he did last time at the restaurant and escorts you back to wooyoung's karaoke room.
unsurprisingly, wooyoung, mingi, and seonghwa are as expected, drunk as shit, but still singing their hearts out rather sloppily and slurring half of the lyrics.
yuna's off to the side with her arms crossed and watching the show with an amused smile on her glossy lips. she's the first to catch your and san's arrival considering she's the only one sober enough.
after bidding goodbyes to the rest and saying each of your farewell of the night, which you're sure none of them understood because of their state, san walks both you and yuna back to the dorm.
the house is just right across the street from campus, and because wooyoung has a thing for making everything all more convenient, it's going to be a rather short walk.
yuna and san exchanges small talks along the way, but it's almost weird and uncanny how disinterested he sounds in comparison to back at the party.
even weirder when he'll laser you a glance once in a while like he's trying to catch your attention--when you were the one being pushed to the side before.
"but pastel colors for sure. those are my favorites," yuna replies to a question asked by san--what's her favorite colors to paint with--but you don't even think he's listening.
his head is elsewhere and there looks to be a moment where he snaps back to reality.
"yeah, that sounds cool..." he murmurs, stopping in place when the big '43-d' comes into view.
"here we are," he changes the subject almost instantly.
yuna turns to him, a tight smile on her. "thanks for walking with us."
"my pleasure."
you stand there, conflicted of what to say. because it would be a shame if the night with san ends right here. but what do you tell him?
"well, be careful walking back, and see you around on campus some time." yuna waves, and san's unreadable eyes move from hers to yours, then back to hers.
"you go in first. after i'm done with y/n, i'll give her back to you. just a few minutes."
you momentarily catch his gaze in yours and a handsome smile decorating his lips that eventually changes into a smirk.
"ooh..." yuna coos, "okay!" she jumps in her position, a relaxed expression before going to undo the lock with a jingle of her keys and prying the door just slightly open, head turning back to you.
"see you in a bit."
he doesn't speak until he hears the door fully shut.
you do wonder what exactly he has in mind. not that you have anything to complain about getting to be in his presence for just a little longer.
he has both his hands jammed into the pockets of his pants; a visual that makes him look so mysterious and enticing.
"didn't mean to hold you back, but, i heard you're looking for a job?"
you raise an eyebrow, aware it's probably mingi's doing. you have only slightly mentioned it in passing conversations.
"i've been thinking about it, yeah..."
you have thought of it, applying a few places here and there but that was so recent, you haven't gotten a reply from any, yet.
"i know a few people. if you want, i can try passing some words around. try your luck."
"oh no, it's fine." you shake your head, unwilling to let someone else do the work for you. if you're going to find a job, it will be from your own effort.
"i'm serious." he chuckles. "it's just a small little favor. if you're only looking for part-time or something to do on the side, i have a few options."
"i hope this isn't because mingi got on his knees and begged on my end or anything. he can be a little bit..."
san laughs and those dimples you like a little too much, appearing and then disappearing.
"not at all." he quirks his lips to one side to think.
"how about this." removing one of his hand, you see he's gripping his phone. "you give me your number first, and after looking around, we can meet again to further discuss?"
you hesitate, but at the same time feeling like denying such an offer will be even more rude. and especially when it's from san, it will only be a missed opportunity if you don't take it.
you nod as a response, and he smiles, extending an arm to hand you the phone.
quickly inputting your number, you simply name yourself 'y/n', returning back the device and watching him gracefully put it back into the pocket of his pants.
"perfect. i'll text you my address if i get any news."
you thank him, observing his features through your eyelashes before realizing once again, you've yet to return his jacket--slowly slipping it off your shoulder.
"keep it," he says, stunning you. "you look good with it."
"it's getting late, so, i should get going. thanks for showing up to the party, and you should be hearing from me within the next few days."
when he so suddenly pats your head, you wince just a little from the touch that makes something inside you flutter.
"see you around, y/n."
and he's walking away; you pouting from the distance because the more you're with him, the deeper you seem to fall. all kinds of scenarios and "what-ifs" flying around your head.
maybe yunho is wrong after all, and maybe san really is genuine. because no one goes to this extent if they don't have some good intentions.
Tumblr media
for some reason, hongjoong's words stick with you.
“have you ever had intrusive thoughts that keeps you awake at night? or things that just, no matter how hard you try pushing to the back of your mind, you can’t seem to get rid of?”
“i mean, i’m not saying if you start journaling, you’re all of a sudden going to find your love for writing, too, but just advising maybe if something ever bothers you and you need to let off some steams. sometimes you don’t necessarily need to talk to someone; it’s just a way of comforting you for the time being. for you to look back on and reflect on what you were feeling back then. but of course, that’s only the first step.”
it's not like you're going through it presently, but you think the idea sounds nice. and to be able to write out your feelings somewhere; feelings that even you cannot tell mingi or yunho, can be relieving.
you find yourself in the university's bookstore that sells lots of goodies, ranging from the school's merchs to even snacks, and plenty of colorful notebooks in all kinds of colors.
the yellow spiral notebook with dandelions on the cover catches your eye, and you buy a stack of brightly-colored pens to match it, mumbling a thank you to the student working the register and trailing back to the dorm with the newly bought items.
prying it apart to the first blank sheet, your mind becomes as equally empty, unsure of what to put as your first entry.
“but there was a tough period in my life, and to deal with it, i kind of just started journaling and writing my thoughts down onto whatever paper or notebooks i could find, and it made me feel a little better afterward.”
you do dwell in the curiosity of what exactly happened to hongjoong for just a second, but in all, trying the best to not speculate too much, as that would be rude because it sounded really personal when he said it.
maybe he might expand more on it next time, though you're not sure when that is. he just seemed like a sweetheart and you don't mind talking to him again.
clicking the end of the black-colored pen, you go to write the first entry. you're probably doing it wrong, but you're just going to write whatever is currently on your mind.
a start is a start.
entry #1
i am still not sure of what to write yet, but i got the idea from hongjoong, someone i met at one of wooyoung's parties. maybe as time goes on and i start inputting more of my thoughts, i'll get the gist of it, but for now, i'm just rambling. well, i started college? moved out of the old hometown and came to seoul. it's nice but i haven't really done much. i hope to, though. maybe sometime in the summer when school isn't in session and mingi and yunho are also free. the people i met so far... i already talked about kim hongjoong, but i guess i'll also mention kang yeosang too. mingi and yunho really likes him and i don't get it at all. so far, he's been nothing but snarky to me. he hasn't bothered me ever since the last time, though. so that's good? my roommate is kwak yuna. she's cool. i did got a little jealous of her this weekend because san was giving her attention. but after he left, we talked a little and she was very supportive of my crush. and lastly, choi san. i bumped into him at one of wooyoung's parties also. it looks like that's where all things happen lol. i still don't know much about him, but i want to? i gave him my number and he hasn't texted or called yet, but then, it's only been two days. he seems nice, and i hope to get closer to him :) i also think he's really cute.
you giggle a little to yourself, rereading what you just wrote. proceeding right under the text, you begin doodling and outlining the shape of a boy. one with a deep set of eyes and slicked back hair that makes him so handsome.
you give him the cutest dimples to complete his cheeks and the most daring slit in between one of his eyebrows to make his appearance such a contrast of one another, yet, they blend in so perfectly on him.
after finishing the last stroke, you settle on a soft smile, closing the notebook.
Tumblr media
it takes four days in total for a text from san to show up.
a thursday morning when you're just about to go on your day, you get a text from a foreign number you do not recognize--with an address on it and worded in simple terms no more than a "tell me when you're available".
somewhere in the later afternoons, you tell him. that's when you finish with the last class of the day.
he suggests to meet at four, and you agree, eager to be done with the final class, and ready to give an excuse to mingi and yunho that you won't be able to make it today, just so you can take a cab over to san's apartment a few minutes off campus.
it's not too far out, but still a good distance away from the site. it's a smaller complex with two stories situated just right next to a couple of stores.
the walls are a nice light peach and the neighborhood is peacefully quiet, not many people outside when you go to knock on apartment number 205.
as you await for the door to open, there is a turmoil in your stomach sitting in great distress about having came all the way here just for a boy who makes the adrenaline in your body course in a way you've never felt before.
but, you also came because of the job. yeah, the job.
the frame flashes open and there stands san in his casual clothing, all bare face and hair in their natural state, some bangs falling on top of his forehead.
he's in a grey sweatpant and white t-shirt, and you're literally thinking to yourself if it's even possible for someone to look this good in the comfort of their own home.
"good afternoon," he greets with a smile that takes the smallest of your breath away.
"hey," you simply reply.
"come on in." he widens the door and moves aside just a smidge to make space.
your sneakers scrape the flooring, taking light steps into his apartment that is surprisingly easy to the eyes.
you're not saying just because he's a guy, you expected it to be somewhat cluttered, but the style is very minimalist with very few picture frames as possible, the wall almost blank.
there is a lone grey couch in the tiny living room and a medium-sized flatscreen right across from it.
aside from a few clothes hanging out from the laundry basket sitting in the corner and maybe one or two unwashed dishes, it really is well put together.
you're starting to think a guy like san just might be perfect in every aspects of his life.
"so, for the job," he utters, shutting the door and making you jump a little. "i have a couple options."
you turn back around, meeting his gaze.
"want to take a look?"
you nod and he responds with a gentle smile.
"over here," he says, trailing to what you assume is his bedroom. you follow behind, entering the room to a bed right in the middle, everything all white. from the pillows to the sheet.
his computer setup is also just across from it, the screen lit up and the gaming chair pushed way back.
"you have a 4k monitor. cool," you comment, unable to hide the excitement from the sight.
"yeah." he giggles. "wooyoung got it for me as a gift last christmas. he can be a little... extra."
he plops down onto the chair and scoots forward, closer to the desk.
"must be nice. last christmas, mingi and yunho chipped in money to get me a laptop that could barely even run the sims 2."
both his hands now resting on the arms of the chair, and he's laughing at what you just said.
"you're into stuff like this?" he asks, some genuine curiosity.
"kind of."
"i'll keep in mind." he smiles, then gestures toward something behind you. "take a seat."
there's a spare chair and you think he must've gotten it from the kitchen for your arrival.
you pull it forward, sitting down; the gap bothering san and he has to keep telling you to come closer, until you're practically next to him, both of your knees nearly touching.
again, the proximity is not good for your heart. and given the quiet atmosphere, you're afraid he just might hear how loud it's beating in your chest.
you watch him navigate to a tab, scrolling through what looks like a site to a company you haven't heard of before.
"how does an office assistant sound to you?" he asks, eyes on you and anticipating your answer.
"office assistant?"
"yeah, you know... just helping with basic tasks, sometimes answering and directing phone calls, greeting customers, and getting a superior a coffee if they ask. i think it's a good job if you're just starting out and not looking for anything too demanding."
it doesn't sound too bad; an office assistant kind of fitting for your field as somewhat of a start as well, but considering your social skills, it's the phone calls and customers part that's making you just a little doubtful.
"i can probably work with that, just..." you try to be optimistic about it, because it's san after all, and he's taking the time out of his day to help you. but even he can read your tone.
"if you're not sure about it, we can skip to the next one."
he switches to another tab; a different looking website with kids and the alphabetical order as the banner.
"how about a teacher's assistant?"
"like... working with kids?"
he nods. "yeah. just the usual, keeping them in check and reviewing materials with them. and whatever other things kids usually needs help with."
working with kids rather than adults definitely sounds a lot more doable and tempting.
a quiet hum departs from you, actually considering the idea.
"are there any requirements?"
"as long as you graduated from high school," he answers, with something playful in his voice. "i know a couple people from the field. if you want it, i surely can secure you an interview sometime next week."
you stare at him like an idiot, kind of wanting to ask how he got all these connections, but deciding not to. because you really are so grateful.
"thank you, san... really," you whisper, earning a smile from the man himself but with something that can almost be mistaken as a smirk.
"of course. want to look through the site? it should give you a better idea." he takes his hand off the mouse to give you full control.
you comply with a nod, shyly going to grab the mouse, the warmth from his touch still lingering and you're scrolling, clicking different navigations, and reading just about everything you can.
your body leaning closer to his as time goes on but you're way too occupied to be flustered that you don't notice his gaze tracing your lips, down to your collarbones and to the long sleeve blouse you're wearing that he thinks will be better if they're off.
he scans the shape of your breast and already, they look just like the perfect size.
moving his focus back to your lips, then taking in the way your eyes always blink so innocently making your lashes extra pretty, and that cute pout that you probably don't even realize you're doing because you're just trying to digest in the information, he thinks he's going to have to.
because the thing is, san's never actually waited this long. usually, it only takes a couple hours, or maybe a day, until he's buried in between some girl's legs or fucking them from behind.
but with you, there's something so innocent, something so pure about you, that it would be no fun if he ruined it so fast.
but those very same reasons making it hard for him, and right at this moment, all he wants, is to do that very thing.
because he didn't go through all the troubles of job searching and trying to get you two alone alone for nothing. he's gonna have to get something in return.
he knows he won't have a problem getting it either way, but he wants it now. and when he wants something, he always gets it.
"oh, it seems the school is also kind of--" you turn to him, about to make a comment regarding how convenient it is that the elementary school also isn't too far from campus itself, only to meet his lustful gaze that makes you shrink on the spot.
he's merely only centimeters away from you, his scent intoxicating and you can hear his heartbeat loud and clear, though at this rate, you're not sure if it's his or yours.
"do you want to thank me properly, beautiful?" his voice low and seductive, his fingers suddenly going to tuck a strand of hair behind your ear.
your words get stuck inside your throat, also unsure if it's the nickname or his touch that's making the heat on your cheeks burn a flaming red.
"you really don't know how fucking pretty you are, huh?"
his fingers begin moving down to your jawline, the sensation tickling your skin, until it stops below your chin, lifting it and making your head raise so abruptly.
and just like that, he takes your still lips that only slightly opens to release a gasp, in for a messy kiss.
your fists balled against his chest, eyes wide still caught in a surprise and lips still unmoved, only letting him take you as he wishes. because choi san is fucking kissing you right now, and you didn't think it'd happen so fast.
also because you haven't kissed in such a long time, you're basically back to square one.
but he's moving so nicely against your flesh, and with each kiss, he grows more desperate, only overtaking you more and more, until the arm of his chair prevents him from doing so any further.
he breaks the kiss, and locks eyes with you shortly after. his deep brown irises staring back at yours and you might've catch your own reflection in them, your lips parted and expression like a little deer caught in headlights.
"do you want this?" he asks, as if he already doesn't know your answer. as if he actually values something like your end of the agreement, when he took your lips in the first place without it.
and as expected, you nod.
again, you don't know much about him yet, but you want to. and you're not sure what he's going to do; if he's really going to initiate sex right here and then, but you just know you want it. anything about him, you'll take it.
you feel like he's got you under a spell and you have no choice but to be ruled by it; fall for his irresistible charms, for his alluring eyes, and his words that hit your heart strings in all the right ways.
if choi san wants you, you're going to let him have you.
which is how you wind up under him, both his palms pinning the mattress and enclosing you in between, his hot breath meeting yours again and swooping your lips for another kiss. this time, slow and sensual.
you have no idea what you're doing, but you're meeting his rhythm, flesh against his like waves of a current that travels in one direction.
he removes one of his hand from the soft material so he can latch it onto the side of your body, palm snaking until he finds your breast, settling on it with a light squeeze that makes you grunt out a moan, disrupting the pattern of the kiss.
both of your arms are stilled above your head and spread across on the covered mattress.
"fuck, even your moans are pretty," he hisses, pulling away to look at you. your lips are red and your breathing already a little unstable, and he's just getting started.
there's barely any time to catch your breath, when he dives into your neck, peppering kisses and love bites, some at your jawline, a few at your collarbones, before he's face first at one of your breasts and he peeks up to get a glance of your fucked-out face.
"may i?" his fingers clip at the neckline of your blouse.
"please..." you answer, almost like a whine.
he smirks, fingers stripping you of the shirt along with your bra straps from the shoulders first, then tugging down the neckline after to reveal your breasts in its bare form.
your nipples already hard, and dare san say it, you also truly have the prettiest fucking boobs he's ever seen on anyone.
with a quick cup of both of them, he hooks your left one into his mouth, causing you to twitch in pleasure. your hands now tangled around his hair, indulging in that wet sensation that keeps encircling your nipple.
your mind all of a sudden wandering back to the times you'd refuse sex, but now letting a guy who isn't even your boyfriend get on top of you and take over like he owns your body.
maybe after all, junseo is wrong, and you're not just some prude. maybe you just needed that special someone who makes you feel so strongly, you want to give him your all.
when san's other hand begins creeping down till it lands on the buttons of your jeans, he detaches from your nipple again so he can say something.
"if you're uncomfortable with anything, you can tell me whenever, and i'll stop."
you nod, and he doesn't return to what he was doing before, instead proceeding to scoot up, your arms naturally falling down to rest around his neck, and he goes back in for a kiss, you readily accepting as if you've done this a thousand times before.
he sucks your lower bottom in between his, drawing away, then continuing back on track and meeting your pace but gradually, because he's also focus on trying to undo the buttons of your pants.
he gets to the last one, the jeans unloosen itself around your hips, just enough for him to slide his right hand inside your underwear, palming the surface of your entrance that's already making you squirm.
dragging his middle finger up to your clit, you whimper in between the kiss, nails accidentally digging into the skin of his neck when he starts drawing circles on it.
everything is moderate at first; your moans along with the slight creaking of the bed, till he thrusts two fingers in almost instantaneously and you yelp, arching in your position.
he pumps them inside your core as if he's an expert, aware of exactly the spot to hit and how to get you to come in a minute. and you do.
san kissed you that afternoon and made you cum on his fingers, and you're still thinking about it.
as you lay awake in your bed that night, eyes on yuna's sleeping figure across from you, you can't stop thinking about what happened today.
there's something heavy sitting on your chest, and you feel you have to get it out. but you definitely cannot tell yunho or mingi, and yuna doesn't seem like the right person for it as well.
moving your gaze away from her, your backpack on the floor slanted against your bed gives you an idea.
taking the yellow notebook that is buried behind a bunch of other school materials, you pull the blanket over you, using your phone as a flashlight and with the inked black pen, scribbling a line right under the first drawing to make a separation, you go to write the second entry.
entry #2
it's been two days since i wrote my last one. to be honest, i didn't think i'd be writing again this soon, but i kinda needed somewhere to put my feelings. well, today, i went over to san's apartment and he helped me with finding a job. i am super grateful for that because he really didn't need to, but he insisted. and after, we did some things. i'm not gonna go into details, but it felt really good. it was my first time and i don't know why i trusted san so easily, but just something about him. after we were finished, he helped with the cleaning part as well as helping me get dressed and said we can meet again sometime soon, that he looks forward to doing more with me. he's sweet, and i think i really really like him ༼ಢ_ಢ༽
you don't draw anything this time, instead closing the notebook and thinking to yourself that it truly will be a tragedy if someone is to ever find out what goes on in your head.

She was going to the pharmacy.
So what that she was stalling?
So what the time she did go was because Shells asked her to join in her grocery shopping?
So what that she kept looking at the pregnancy tests all stacked up like they were the only savior in an empty land and she was the castaway begging for help? So what that Nicole also found them nice - colorful boxes - and wanted to look closer? So what that Shells, if she saw it, would never live this down?
Beatrice could feel her headache coming back and she didn’t needed that now.
Nicole still reached for the colorful boxes thinking they were toys, so Beatrice had to walk away from that area to where Shells was, “Did you get everything?” Shells had so much stuff in her cart and was currently thumbing her phone, one hand holding her head up as she looked completely away from the situation, “Shells.”
Her blonde friend just stared down at the phone, laughing at some funny video she saw on Instagram and then going back to her neutral face.
“Oh for–Shells.” She shakes her shoulder which finally snaps the blonde back into reality, her eyes widening and looking around until she finds Beatrice’s gaze - and Nicole’s curious one - “Shells, did you get everything?”
“Huh? Oh,I think so?”
“You think so?”
“I mean yeah, I don’t have a list.” she shrugs casually, “There’s enough food for a month.”
But Beatrice didn’t seem amused, in fact she looked annoyed “Shells, there is a list. In your phone.” she points to the colorful case with her eyebrows still low, “For God’s sake just look into it, it’s in your notes.”
Shells blinked at Beatrice with a little smile, “Seesh, what bit into your ass this morning? Rooster?” Her friend’s cheeks turned red. “Nah, if it was him you’d be feeling over the moon, haha.”
“Shells.” Beatrice begins, “Just…check your list, please.”
“I will,I will…but really, what got you so,” Shells shakes her hands, “Iffy? You look ready to topple me if you weren’t holding Nikki.” and Beatrice felt bad, immediately relaxing her eyebrows and sighing, adjusting Nicole in her grasp.
“Just…an off day, is all.” more like an off week.
“Hm.”
“Don’t ‘hm’ me.” Beatrice replies, holding Nicole close to her chest and trying her best to not look even more annoyed since her friend noticed her sour expression. it wasn’t Shells’ fault, she was right to call Bea out on her attitude, it wasn’t like she knew what was going on.
And she won’t know. At least not yet.
Because Beatrice was going to ignore it as much as she could, she wasn’t feeling sick anymore therefore there was no need for her to worry about it. “I’m just having an off day,I didn’t have my coffee this morning.” because she was too anxious and Rooster, bless him, believed her when she said she wasn’t that hungry and might go back to sleep after he left.
She didn’t and now she was cranky and wanted some toast.
“Oh so that’s why? Well you big baby, why didn’t you say so?” Shells chuckled, tossing some aspirins into her cart as if it was a basketball and she just made three points, “We can snack on something after we leave.”
“You don’t have to-”
“Ah ah ah! No,I want to.” Shells holds up her finger,”I want to and I will do that.”
Nicole reacted before her mother, throwing her little fists up and squealing happily at what her crazy aunt suggested, bouncing a bit in Beatrice’s arms “Mama! Buhu buh Buh!” she giggled, still bouncing and kicking her legs in such a way that melted Beatrice’s sourness immediately in a blink of an eye.
Beatrice just huffed out a gentle laugh, then nodded at Shells, “Alright, okay Shells.I’ll go with you.” anything to keep her mind out of…things.
She’s been with that thought ever since the weekend and now it’s Wednesday and Christmas is next week and she was still thinking about it. There was no way, no way she was pregnant.
You thought the same when you had Nicole, bambina.
But that was different!
She wasn’t taking her birth control shots then, and she was now. She wrote it down, she knew she went to the clinic. But in reality, she was scared…not to be a mom again, but scared about this being…too much if she was. She wants more kids, she knew that Rooster wanted more kids as well but not so soon, right?
God how would he react if she was pregnant?
What if that was enough to make him upset, because after all, she was taking the birth control shots so they weren’t worried about any other contraception besides it…Beatrice didn’t know how to break the news if the news were that, she didn’t want…him to worry, what if he got upset.
Ugh she shouldn’t be thinking about that.
Beatrice chooses to sniff Nicole’s hair, smiling at the sweet cotton flower scent that hung onto her strands.Their daughter was the cutest, sweetest smelling baby ever and everyone agreed, not only them. She was so happy to see Nicole wriggling about that she almost didn’t hear Shells calling her to the cashier.
After paying they went to a bakery close by, it wasn’t Rizzo’s but it was another good one…with fancy pastries that looked like they were worth more than her rent. She didn’t know why Shells chose this place, maybe because it was the closest one to the grocery store and Shells wasn’t feeling like driving too far.
Beatrice held Nicole close to her chest when they walked in, trying to not glare at the group of people that looked her way when they noticed the baby. It was one of those hip places that kids weren’t really often seen…nice.
Shells didn’t care, in fact she had a feeling if she noticed more people looking over she’d just bark at them - more like ‘zombie growl’, it worked many times before when dealing with creeps at the few college parties they’ve been to - and make them look away. Beatrice however was very thankful when the staff offered a booster seat to Nicole, her daughter trying to mimic the ‘thank you’ but it didn’t come out as an actual sentence.
“Ah!” Shells exclaimed once she sat down, propping her hands behind her head and crossing her legs under the table, “Nice place.”
“It is.” Beatrice smiles in thanks when the female server comes with the booster seat, Bea telling her that she could set it up - she didn’t want to prevent the girl from working after all - “Can you hold Nikki for me so I can set the seat up?”
“Yes!” Shells straightened her body and picked the little baby up, Nicole was still getting used to Shells - amazingly of all of Beatrice’s friends, it was her that Nikki was confused the most whenever she was around - but she did hold onto the blonde’s neck as Beatrice put the booster seat up, “Look at you, hi baby!” Shells coos, gently tickling the little girl’s tummy and smiling when she giggled, “You look so precious, yes you do- so, how are you feeling?”
“About what?” Beatrice was looking at the seat instead of Shells.
“About Nikki’s new buddy. Excited?”
It takes a few seconds for Beatrice to translate what Shells meant, the brunette genuinely stood still like a statue while looking at the ground in shock. Buddy? What buddy? Wait, was Shells suspicious? What if she was? What if Beatrice was showing more than she thought? Maybe she should test it sooner, maybe-
And then it hit her.
She was talking about Evelyn’s baby.
“Oh,ah,hah. I-I am excited…um,I know Ev is too.” and she hoped her voice wasn’t too shaky when she said that because Shells could identify the fear in her voice when she spoke, “You know she’s changed her mind on the baby shower and everything.”
“Yeah,I know, plus Nikki won’t be alone for too long, huh?”
Again Beatrice swallowed hard, then slapped on a smile before turning around to pick Nicole from Shells’ hands, “Ah, yeah, she won’t.”
“Mama!” Nicole wriggles a bit, kicking her little legs and smiling towards Beatrice, Mama!’
“Yes,I know, honey, you’ll have….friends.” she swallowed again, then cleared her throat as she put Nicole in the booster seat and then sat down next to her, opening her bag to pick the baby food she always had on hand whenever they had to stop for a lunch break.
She didn’t look up at Shells again and her friend squinted her eyes, pursed her lips and tapped her finger on the table as she watched Beatrice. She knew her best friend way too well, it was easy to know when she was hiding something because Beatrice was an open book when it came to her expressions, “So…” she begins, opening the menu to check what was on that morning, “How…are you and Rooster?”
Beatrice flicks her eyes towards the other woman briefly,”Fine.” she answers, tying the bib around Nicole’s neck before popping the baby food container open, “We’re fine, how are you and Bob?”
“Pretty good, can’t complain, still enjoying the double act that Bob is…won’t go into detail because of the little one there but you know what I mean.”
“I do.”
“But I mean…how are you guys? What was the reason for you to skip breakfast?”
Anxiety. “Nothing.” pure raw anxiety and fear, “Just didn’t feel like having it this morning.”
“And Rooster was okay with that? He’d probably feed you himself if he didn’t notice it…and he noticed it,I know he did.”
“Just woke up weird.” she murmurs, clicking the foldable spoon open to dip into the carrot puree and feed Nikki, her little daughter was already so excited she opened her mouth seconds before she could even see the spoon, “And I didn’t want him to worry, is all.”
“Bea.”
“What?”
“Are you hiding something?”
Was she? She didn’t even know if she was after all she REFUSED to take the test and be sure. She knew it’d be the right thing to do, but she was terrified…maybe if she talked to Rooster…maybe he’d calm her down?
Maybe she could also call her doctor to be sure, maybe even Hannah since that’s her job as well, “I’m not hiding anything.” it was…true. In a way, she didn’t know if she was hiding anything after all, “I’m just having an off day,I told you.”
“Well you just look…weird, that’s all.”
“I’m probably tired.” she throws the excuse in the air, “We’re getting ready for Christmas next week- are you coming,by the way?” quick, change the subject.
Shells tsked, looking to the side, “We’re visiting Bob’s family this year, maybe next year Bea. But I appreciate you inviting my aunt and Melia,I know they’ll have a lot of fun too.”
And after that they are going to Virginia, so she could set her plan in motion as well…there was so much in her brain and this sudden doubt wasn’t helping.
One more reason to test, bambina…what’s the worst that could happen?
She hated how her nonna’s disembodied voice was right. Beatrice sighed through her nose, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear, “Yeah…they will. Anyway, we better eat something. Right?”
“Sure thing!”
-
She managed to get into the pharmacy without Shells noticing. How, one might ask, simply saying she needed to use the bathroom and if she could keep an eye on Nicole as she walked inside the supermarket while her friend stayed in the car far away from anyone’s view.
Beatrice’s hands were shaking after she paid for the three tests, shoving them so deeply in her bag that she almost hurt herself. And now she was just looking at the colorful boxes inside, biting her lower lip and formulating a plan.
“Okay.’ she begins, rubbing her temples and pacing back and forth, Nicole and the dogs following her with their eyes as she walked around the living room, “I can do it in the morning, when your dad isn’t here, then check…if it’s negative,I’ll just throw it away before he sees it…if it’s positive…”
She’d have to tell Rooster, one way or another.
“He wouldn’t be mad, right?” she murmurs as she picks her bag up and opens a bit more, the tests were tucked under her wallet and keys, “He’d understand…he wants more kids.”
But oh…so soon? Remember…you were on birth control, or were you? Are you dumb and forgot? Probably.
Beatrice tsked, looking down at the tests “I will figure it out, there’s no need to worry-”
“Babe?”
Beatrice never threw her bag away from her so quickly, it slammed on the wall with a loud ‘thud!’ and slid behind the couch closest to the window, her eyes wide as the dogs hurried to the front door to greet Rooster and Nicole squealed the second she heard her father’s voice.
Normally Beatrice would pluck her up from her bouncer to greet Rooster as well, but she stood immobile like a fawn ready to be shot in the middle of their living room. She just stood there, wide eyed and silent, swallowing hard as she heard his boots on the floor.
His smiling face greeted her and he dropped everything he was holding, “My fuckin’ baby,c’mere.” he immediately rushed over to her, picking her up from under her ass and kissing her lips repeatedly. Beatrice made a sound of surprise but kissed him back, laughing as he kept their lips locked.
‘Rooster!” she giggles when he breaks away, “What’s gotten into you?”
“Nothing.” he replies, pecking her lips again, “I just had to kiss you, fuck you are so beautiful and you are always so hot, I’m going to kiss you again.”
“Dada!”
Both of them looked at Nicole who just appeared to be distraught because she was left out, “Oh,my birdie I’m so sorry.” he gently put Beatrice down, tapping her ass cheeks with his hands before he turns around to pick Nicole up, kissing her soft cheeks and grinning against her skin when she started to giggle, “I missed your cute little laugh too, yes I did!”
God that scene was too cute.
And it could repeat itself before- she snapped her gaze to the couch where her bag was behind, then back towards Rooster, she had to grab it before he found it in some way, “How was work?”
“Work was,” he lifts Nicole above his head, smiling at her squealed laugh,”Great, I talked to Mav, he’s coming next week and he said he’s bringing me a gift.”
“A gift?”
‘Yes, to me specifically. I don’t know what it is but it seems important.”
Beatrice’s worry dimmed into a smile when her husband said that, it was so sweet that Pete was trying his best to connect with Rooster again and she knew Bradley appreciated it more than he showed. His eyes were shining a lot more too, it was just a matter of time until they got back to what they were used to, “That’s great Roos.”
“Yeah,oh,also,we need to go Christmas shopping.” he adds, “We didn’t yet.”
“...oh my God you are right. We need to go this weekend.” he looked so happy when he said that too, she didn’t know why but he was almost beaming.
“it’ll be our very first Christmas, together,as a family.” he whispered, his eyelids lowering as he looked at Nikki, her tiny hands touching his face and he, in turn, kissed those minuscule palms of hers and nuzzled her skin, “...I…I’m excited for it.”
She felt terrible because of course he’d be happy.
She remembers him saying that he hadn’t celebrated Christmas in a long while when they got together, especially with a family. It was one thing to share with Mav and her own relatives, it was something else entirely when it came to them. To Bea,Rooster,Nicole and the dogs, their little circle, their little family bubble.
Of course he’d be happy and excited and ready to have a great Christmas with them.
Beatrice’s smile softened and she approached him, kissing his jawline,”I know,I’m excited too…” she also wanted to push him away from the living room,”Anyway…hungry?I can make us dinner.” and she looks back at the couch as they walk away, furrowing her brows.

Unlitsa ch 2
Alright here is chapter 2! If some of yall are just seeing this one first! here is the previous chapers! Uniltsa series . Enjoy!
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Tumblr media Tumblr media
[first pov]
Apparently I am a smartass in this world. Since I was the one who made the inhaling implants on the humans here. So why do I feel like a dumbass at the moment. I have no idea what each foods are, and scared they would taste something I might not like. "here uniltsa! got your favorites!" tuk says to me as she brings a leaf full of some fruits and other things. "ah...thanks tuktuk" the kids eyes light up with that nickname. So that's good.
Tuk is so cute up front! but from what I remember, she was still short but almost as tall as spider. So why is she a little more shorter? I could never ask what year this is. I would look rather dumb. Last thing I need is people questioning me. But so far, not many noticed my odd behavior.
So far so good.
Tumblr media
[third pov]
Uniltsa took her time in eating eat item carefully. While the taste was something familiar, but was still a bit skeptic one some things. Lo'ak saw her eating her food slowly. "you sure you're ok?" he looks at her concerned. "Usually you're eating as quick as you can".
Uniltsa blinked a few times before respond, "sorry, I just have a lot in my mind right now". Lo'ak scooted closer, their shoulders touching. Feeling concerned he looks into her eyes, scanning for something. Knowing her since birth, he can basically read her mind. This time however. Whatever she is thinking about. He cant detect.
"you alright? if you're sick I can take you to grandma to fix you up" he suggests. Uniltsa just shook her head. "no no, I am fine really" she smiles up at him, but it looks more of a nervous smile.
Lo'ak wasn't ready to drop it but stopped asking. Every since this morning his friend sure has been acting odd.
Tumblr media
Later on lo'ak took uniltsa out to do their stuff when every time they pass a flower, a pretty rock or a water stream, uniltsa has to stop to look at it. "I swear, you look at all of this its your first time" lo'ak says while crossing his arms.
Uniltsa once again stopped to look at some pretty large flowers. Admiring their beauty.
"w-well yeah! Sometimes when you do things over and over you forget to notice some details" she replies quickly. Lo'ak merely shrugs. "Well are you done? I want to get there while we still have daylight". Uniltsa sighs silently and continues on their path.
Trying to play it cool, she asks "I forgot, where are we going again?". Lo'ak answers, "weird of you to forget but we're going to the long river to collect some beads. Tuk's birthday is in a few days so as we gotta find the best of the best stone for her".
Tuk's birthday? From what uniltsa, tuk was 8 at the start of the second movie. And she is smaller when looking face to face....so how far back did she go?
"right right. Ummmm....I honestly don't know what to give her" she says, literally not knowing what to give her. Lo'ak huffs a bit with a smirk. "Come oooon, you always give her the best stuff, tch, I remember you gave her a empty shell of a bead and she still has it! I swear tuk loves you more than her own siblings".
"jealous?" Uniltsa smirks teasingly. She noticed lo'ak's tail swish in a certain way. But looking at his face, seems she is sort of right.
puffing his cheeks a bit, looking slightly annoyed.
"no" his ears gave away.
Smiling more, she points at lo'ak, "you so are! Cant help it if tuk loooooooves me!!" she giggles out. Lo'ak smiles a bit too. Seeing his friend go back to how she usually acts. "whatever! lets just go!" he stomps the way further.
Grinning to herself she follows him. She takes her time in the path was because while mentally she doesn't know any parts of the forest, her body does. It is very familiar with the forest and its like by instinct to know where to go. Perhaps that is something she can rely on while still figuring out in what year she is in.
But during the mean time, hanging out with lo'ak, her fictional crush, is turning out to be a lot of fun.
Tumblr media
And that is it for this chapter! Hope you all liked it! until next time! see ya!

Mickie gives me cuteness aggression. Every time i see him i get the sudden urge to rip this throat out with my teeth ❤️ Can you tell me more about himb
He will absolutely kick your ass though so you best behave. He started working out just to be able to kick ass better.
So I'm pretty bad at coming up with stuff off the top of my head so please do feel free to ask if you have anything specific you want to know about him.
He's a really good dancer.
He started a band that he called For Profit Orphan Farm, because that's what he calls the orphanage. He also sometimes calls Bailey a for profit orphan farmer. On the topic of Bailey, He also has a drawing he made of Bailey he made pinned to a dart board. Throws darts at it.
He and Bailey have kind of a weird complicated relationship that's only gotten more weird and complicated over the years. It started off as entirely adversarial at first, Mikie hated Bailey's guts. Then eventually he figured that considering how much power and influence Bailey has, it would be in his best interest to get on his good side. So he decided he'd work to gain Bailey's trust then when he had it he'd betray him and take over. He didn't really change his additude but he did work to make it obvious he was an invaluable asset. Bailey ended up having to rescue him a few times and each time he'd give him a chunk of extra money in his weekly orphan fee. After all money is the only thing Bailey gives a shit about. They're not "friendly", Mikie even acts openly antagonistic and insulting towards him sometimes but it's almost joking? They almost sort of have something of a banter going? He plays pranks on him sometimes. Mikie would never admit it to anyone or even himself, but he sort of wants to impress Bailey, prove he's more than just another orphan. It's impossible to know what he truly feels for Bailey, even less so what Bailey feels for Mikie.
Mikie hasn't actually been in the orphanage since he was a child, instead he came to the orphanage in his mid teens after his parents lost custody. At that time he was a total loner with a bad additude but Robin really brought him out of his shell. Robin was his first friend at the orphanage, perseverating to try to be his friend even on those first days when Mikie kept telling him he was annoying and to scram. Mikie doesn't talk about his parents, he actually doesn't remember them or his childhood before the orphanage much aside from vague feelings and snippets. And he doesn't really care to, he's perfectly content to act like his time before the orphanage doesn't exist at all.
He's a delinquent that likes to cause trouble in school. Essentially harmless stuff. Well other than pepper spraying people. But to be fair those people were Whitney and his pack of friends. Mikie maintains that if you don't start none there won't be none, and it's not his fault Whitney keeps running back over and over again to get his ass kicked. He also intervenes when he sees students getting bullied and is generally kind of scrappy and rarely runs from a fight. So he's in fights a lot. Which means he's in detention a lot. You'd think his obvious status as a delinquent would mean he's probably getting shit grades but he's actually doing surprisingly well, like he actually gets good grades. He's the worst at math, unsurprisingly. River likes him since he volunteers at the soup kitchen occasionally. River thought he was another rude asshole kid at first but Mikies always been earnest and worked hard and proved himself to be ultimately a kind person even if he's a bit rough around the edges. So River bumps up his grade even though he really shouldn't.
He doesn't really know how to draw, he's not a good artist.
He's kinda in a thruple with Kylar and Sydney. (Well technically Mikie is seeing like a bunch of different men but Ky and Sydney are the only ones he thinks of as his actual boyfriends he actually loves.) Which was a whole goddamn mess to set up and frankly is still more or less a goddamn mess. They're kind of competitive and snippy to eachother. Ky is more openly antagonistic and Syd is just sarcastic and teasing. And while Mikie does think it's kind of very super hot when boys fight over him (he feels really guilty for this) he does genuinely care deeply for both of them and wants them to get along. He also tries to get Ky and Robin to hang out. Mikie worries about Ky, thinks he could really use a friend. Though it's probably kinda dumb to keep trying to get Kylar to get along with people Mikies been inside of but oh well Mikies never had very good judgement when it comes to relationships.

Ice Guy and His Cool Female Colleague Episode 6: Bait & Switch
Tumblr media
So, that was an episode. I loved it, but at the same time I just want to rant about how it ended. So we'll start there.
Cmon man, why are we still faking people out with confessions in this day and age, and with a mature romance at that? It's not needed, it's not good, it's not even funny because they don't capitalize on it in any way.
Tumblr media
It's just straight painful. They didn't use it to set up an actual confession afterwards, and even worse is the fact that they then followed this scene up with a fireworks show and a sleepy train ride home. Two perfect opportunities to go for broke and have Himuro confess, but neither happened. It's got me super annoyed because it's such a cheap trope to inject drama into a moment. They easily could have left out Himuro trying to confess to Fuyutsuki, and it would have been perfectly fine.
Alright, rant over. Now then, the good stuff from the episode. These recent episodes have been really nice in terms of expanding upon all the characters. They start to grow and relax around each other to show a more personal side overall. You see it with stuff like Saejima and his sort cluelessness in personal situations versus how oddly aware he can be in regards to others. Or with Komori and how she hides her more subtle and sensitive emotions behind enthusiastic outbursts. And then there's of course Himuro and Fuyutsuki. Himuro continues to come out of his shell and be brave and take charge, rather than following around. My favorite bit from that change is how forthcoming he is in being jealous, great to see both ends of his spectrum and what they end up as.
Tumblr media
And then there's Fuyutsuki, who's working on being more open with her emotions, and willing to interact outside of her comfort zone. Seeing her become shy and awkward at time sis incredibly cute, and adds a totally different angle to her appeal as a character. (I just wish we could see some different visual effects for Fuyutsuki, the same stuff all the time is getting a little boring)
Tumblr media
Really, the episode was quite a bit of fun, but that confession bait really bothers me. It's such a simple thing to not do, there's nothing special to it but it still ends up a part of it. Alongside that, I definitely am starting to find the direction getting rather lazy. Plenty of repeated set pieces and visuals and so on and so forth, it ends up taking away from the overall feel of it. I'd say it ends up making it a little flat, sure, but the show itself is still more than enough to be enjoyable. The romance is fun and fresh, the characters warm and able to act mature without making it dry, and the progression of it all has a very nice flow (characters aren't constantly nervous around each other now). So all I'd really say is to temper expectations in terms of visuals, it's pretty, but it's not something that will blow you away or impress you with each episode.

Week in Review
07/28/2024 – 08/03/2024
Sunday
Week 25 of missing Cipher Academy
Undead Unluck good!
I really wanted to try and do a proper Manga Sunday again by actually catching up on all my Shounen Jump series, but then I caught up with Oshi no Ko and was so annoyed that I went to do other stuff lmao. It really feels like they’re going to go around systematically tying up loose ends now, which is pretty lame and boring.
Monday
Started listening to the Succession recap podcast, Succ Off, and I’m really enjoying myself. The two hosts have great energy, and their opinions on Succession mirror my own (and they’re TomGreg shippers), so I’m having fun.
Tuesday
I’m a miserable shell of a person and I curse the universe for putting me on this earth just to suffer. My favourite mobile game of all time for my favourite anime franchise of all time is shutting down………………………………………………………. I’ve given years of my life to Revue Starlight Re LIVE, and I’m going to miss her so so so so so so so so so so bad. I’ll probably gush more about the game in my Favourite Things 2024 list, but just know that I’m inducting it into The STM Awards right this second with a score of 10/10.
Wednesday
Tried playing Sword of Convallaria because it just came out and I need a new mobage to fill the soon to be gaping void in my heart. It’s fine. At least the gameplay is mildly interesting, even if the other Genshin-esque things about it irk me.
Thursday
I don’t care about World Trigger in the slightest, but one of my favourite Japanese actresses is performing in its stage play in November and I might have the chance to see her, so I started reading World Trigger. So far, it’s pretty mediocre – it’s all action, but it’s not like the fights have been particularly creative or rendered well. I like that the main guy is a short moe sleeves boy, though.
Started playing Boku no Natsuyasumi 2, and I loooooooooove the vibes and the atmosphere.
Friday
Did I do anything today? I don’t remember…I wanted to play Boku no Natsuyasumi 2 every day for the month of August like someone on Twitter suggest, but I think I might be too busy to do that this year…
Saturday
To be honest, a management position for a huge archive project has just landed in my lap (gee, I wonder what we’re archiving), so the weeks might be a bit sparse from now on. I’m absolutely drowning in work ^q^)b
For that reason, and because it’s pretty difficult to parse the story when they’re throwing a million fancy words at me, I dropped Sword of Convallaria. What’s the point, anyway…all mobile games die an untimely death eventually…

honestly think it fits just not AS serious. People often mention i look rather intimidating at first which is understandable since i can seem uninterested and reserved but when talking to me i really love making others laugh, as well as laughing myself. Honestly my love language (combined with aggressive love). Love to goof around but i like to seem more closed off at first.
It makes things more interesting. Very personal emotions i like to only keep for myself (like most ig). I isolate pretty quickly and don't mind it since I've always been more independent and alone (not at all badly, i like the peace around me while enjoying the chaos inside my head 🫦😭).
I've actually never been in an relationship but based on other experiences i like both to be in control and let someone have control.
definitely not the type to only have one thing.
Likes:
Swimming, MUSIC, analyzing, watching trash tv and cooking shows (i just love judging people < /3), reading on my phone ig though i don't read many books irl, gaming from time to time, eating LMAO, adrenaline boosting stuff like rollercoasters,...
Dislikes:
Cooking (ironically), bugs that have this hard shell on them (scared shitless, can't deal with them biches), morning breath, no motivation days, people that don't have their own personality (i get annoyed easily)
so yeah idk if this is too long or short or whatever.
I'd be happy if you would match me but if you don't feel like it that's totally fine love <3 don't stress, take ur time.
Hi 🪩Anon! Thank you for your request! Sorry it took a while. I hope you like your matchup!
In My Hero Academia, I match you with...
Tumblr media
You and Shoto are the “intimidating but actually just reserved” couple of UA. People are often too scared to approach you, especially when you’re together but once they get to know you, they enjoy your company.
Shoto loves the more goofy side of you, especially since it brings out his sillier side as well. He feels honoured that you’re comfortable enough with him that you feel you can let that more private side of you out.
Enjoys watching tv with you and just relaxing in general. He doesn’t mind what you get up to, as long as you’re spending time together.
Shoto’s surprisingly good at motivating you when you’re struggling to find the energy to do anything. He’s been there before and knows how annoying it is.
Gets rid of bugs for you. He’s happy to either take them outside or just kill them depending on which you would prefer. If it’s a particularly large bug, he might baulk a bit but he’ll push his own concerns aside to help you out.

ok so i totally meant to do my hw but as i was getting to the last bit of my irish it just felt pointless, ive been feeling like that a lot lately, which is annoying cuz im always positive. i think i feel unliked by my best friends it kinda sucks but thats the way it is, ive been getting more snappy at them, so its kinda my fault so ill have to spend some more time near them and talk to them which feels hard because i just feel so pointless, life feels so pointless and for once not in the way of "yipee nothing matters" more like "nothing really matters so why try anyways".
so dark thoughts aside lifes been doing mediocre, i meant to say stuff so ill get a shit ton from my notes that i wanted to say said now. The spanish kid (who only joined this year to our school) is kind of annoying, idk if it was just me but when i added him on snapchat he asked who i was, which you know fine but he didnt ask my friend who also did that. anyways on tuesday(?) he sat in "apples" seat, she sits behind me, were friends now but we werent for six months. ill say in a later post. anyways the cabinet behind her has litter picker uppers because our maths teacher is the green schools advisor, anyways "spanish kid" we'll nickname him "4k4" decides to sit in apples seat bc it means hes kind of a little bit farther to the boys but he can go into the cabinet. also as soon as he joined he got immediantly accepted into the guy secret circle. anyways he pokes me once with the garbage picker upper, now let me preface this by saying im not a loner, i have no reason to be bullied and picked on except for being loud maybe, i always have too much optimism, i give compliments im nice, sometimes im dumb but not too dumb to make me unlikable. THERE IS NO REASONNN. but i got poked, and to be honest my feelings were a little hurt, all respect GONEE, so i got out a pen shell from my pencil case (yknow those bic pens where you can take out the inc and pen part, well basically the bit which was left was the pen shell). anyways i took it out just in case he poked me again... AND HE DID!?!? so i grabbed my pen shell and launched it into his face, it was rly funny cuz he wasnt looking and flinched rly badly and his friends started laughing.
another time was when i wanted to get into school i was going to go through the side entrance which can only be opened from the inside without a code, and 4k4 and some of his friends were there, and when i got there his main friend shut the door on me and laughed, i kinda stood there for a few minutes saying please, it was an old joke, and it was funny i was also laughing but 4k4 pointing at me and laughing in my face made me feel pretty shitty tbh.
anyways me and my friends had a mamma mia party 2 where we watched mamma mia 2, we had it on friday like last year and was held near a similar date (only a day off the original). it went ok, it felt weird, maybe i wasnt in a good headspace but i just felt lonely there.
i dont really want to talk about it much more besides that, i could just feel like shit because my period is soon but truthfully im just not sure. A german mayor came to our school maybe thats a bit revealing but whatever, for all you could know he could have come a month ago, thats how behind on my notes i am. some of this is OLD news. my old friend gave a speech to him, i liked my friend but then he asked this girl out, he got rejected and i felt like shit, it was clear to everyone i liked him and everyone knew and made jokes about it, i always blushed and i thought he might have actually liked me like that because he acted like it. i thought he had asked me on a date on wednesday, but i wasnt going to make it a date unless he told me it was. he mentioned something and said have you heard about me or something and i said "no what?" and i kept pushing but calmed down after three pushes and said no. when he left my friends told me he had rejected a girl the day before. i just felt like shit, complete and utter shit.
i completely erased my happy feelings of him, it semi worked i was better around him but i know that if he asked me out now then id say no. actually now that im thinking about it, maybe id explain how it made me feel earlier when he didnt like me and i felt bad and i know that hes going to feel bad too because i cant accept his feelings and im sorry, also 2 weeks after he asked out the first girl he asked out apple, she said no cuz she has a boyfriend, but like ive never been asked out before, why not me, what was wrong with me. it hurts sometimes but im over it.
im going to have to cut this short bc this is LONGG but apple said im really pretty in science which was a major upgrade from the week prior where she said i smelt, i wasnt too fazed by the insult but i was delighted by the compliment. yknow emerald, i mentioned him on thursday(?) but he won the student council elections, thank god it wasnt apricot i dont think i could have bared another year of having everyone trust him.. hes really not someone to be trusted.
ok so i have much more to say but i have to go sleep but i was watching foolishs pov of the qsmp event going on rn, and i need to watch the cellbit rpg but i just find that tabletop shit confusing and frankly the rpg thing confused me but i think i can wrap my head around it. as always good morning, good day and good night.

Project Gamma Sigma will be moving... again. A "small" announcement.
I know not that many people know of my project, Project Gamma Sigma, to begin with, but for those that do have some interest in it, it'll be moving from Blogspot/Blogger (whatever the damn thing is called). How soon, I'm not sure. Where? That's almost a secret for now. Shh.
To elaborate...
THE "WHERE DO WE BEGIN" OF IT ALL...
This project had originally started, technically, on Facebook as part of some short stories I'd write in the notes (a feature that doesn't even exist anymore). For a very short time, bits of Gamma Sigma existed on a separate Tumblr blog. That didn't seem to offer me enough flexibility with text formatting (which is an important aspect of how I write the story, due to how I can emphasize certain things, and it's just my style so shh), so I moved everything (pretty much re-making it entirely) on Blogger/Blogspot (I'll just call it Blogspot). So Gamma Sigma has had many locations, but none that are, at this particular moment, a proper "home".
THE "I THOUGHT IT'S GOOD ENOUGH" PART...
For a while, I'd believed Blogspot to be a decent-enough home for the project, and a few years had passed without much to worry about. Blogspot seemed easy enough to deal with, even with its flaws that I desperately tried to find workarounds for... whenever I could. And for a while, those workarounds sorta worked. I was even surprised that they worked for as long as they did, thinking about it now...
However...
OOPS! ALL BROKEN!
(AKA, THE BORING "I'M ANGRY" PART).
Yesterday, I found out that some of my modifications to the theme's code refused to function in any capacity (as in, the less-convenient default options force-replaced whatever was in the code previously, for what reason I don't know). Even the button that would allow me to undo any "recent changes" to the code, only showed the preview having the intended features, but the saved version wouldn't reflect any of the changes (I even checked on different browsers and that includes my phone's web browsers - the intended feature wasn't there, it just got disintegrated along with my patience for this shit).
At that point I'd come to a conclusion... I've had enough. I feel like I lack control over the very shell of what holds YEARS worth of my creative work, and I'm not putting up with it anymore. My project deserves a better home.
I'd already considered moving the project elsewhere, many times, but this brought my frustration to a boil. Numbered page navigation was no longer an option, as massively convenient as it had been during the time when it worked. Now it's just a "MORE POSTS" button. Click it, it takes you to the next page, at the top of the page, scroll down, click it, and the cycle repeats a few more times; if I find it frustrating, I can't imagine that many people would want to go looking for my oldest posts that way either (and the best part, obviously, is the part where Blogspot doesn't offer an option to change that in any way by default, which is why I had to modify the code itself to begin with; if I can't modify the code to my liking, why even give me the option to do so?!).
To make it even more annoying: The pre-existing "Archive" function barely helps the convenience of this, and, frankly, I'm tired of trying to negotiate my way around the lack of options for something like this.
A VAGABOND PROJECT; VISION, STRUGGLES, GOALS AND OTHER STUFF...
I know very little about building things right in the code (especially with very little or even nothing to start with), but if I can figure out the basics and make a skeleton of something work to my advantage, I'll make it work sooner than I'll realize. I've surprised myself in the past, and I'm sure I can create something that'll serve as a home to my project, permanently.
Moving Gamma Sigma would allow me to add features that, I'm sure, wouldn't work (or would quickly break) on Blogspot. One feature would allow me to make some of my entries more "immersive" - being able to play a specific audio track when opening specific entries, for example. Other things would, of course, include improved page navigation, secret pages, and potentially other fun little (maybe interactive) things, that would be relevant to the Gamma Sigma story in some way.
I know it sounds ambitious, especially for somebody who's never done something of this scope before, but I won't know if I don't try, and I'm passionate enough about my project to put in the effort to give it a home it'll thrive in.
A LITTLE OFF-TOPIC, BUT IT KIND OF HAS A REASON TO BE HERE...
On top of the frustrations regarding Blogger, I'd wanted to move away from using Google products/services/etc. for a while, and Blogspot, as it is, being owned by Google, would have to be one of the things I'd have to deal with at some point, inevitably. So that, too, helped me make my decision to move the project - the option to keep the project alive long-term.
I've also been planning to move away from using Google stuff in general, due to how unreliable their product lifespans can be... But that, alone, isn't my only goal; I don't exactly trust Google... And on that matter...
I plan on moving away from using Microsoft's products as well, and that eventually will include the operating system, Windows, itself. I've already been experimenting with using Linux, and the only reason I hadn't moved entirely, is because I still need to work out some issues regarding some windows-only programs and whether they'll work properly in Linux, through whatever means are available to me. If I can make them work, then it's bye-bye Microsoft.
I just value privacy and having a choice in how the system behaves. I value having control over what I do on my own computer. When using an OS is a matter of "letting 3rd parties have some of my personal data", on a PAID operating system no less, I'd think it's too fucking far.
But back to what's at hand...
CONCLUSION OR WHATEVER. OH YEAH ALSO A GAMMA SIGMA HIATUS, THAT TOO...
This was a long "announcement" (with some extra yelling), but I'll update it if something comes up (like, if I finish the migration process or if I decide on something else to add, Idk). I have no clue as to how long it'll take, but this basically forces me to put off posting any newer entries until further notice. Or unless I feel like it, I guess? Still, a hiatus is a hiatus, and I know it already took like a year for me to write the newest entry, but don't worry about that, shhHh,,,
OH AND ONE MORE THING...
It's possible I'll be changing the name of the project itself. As to what it'll be, I'm still not sure, but again, I'll make an update about it once I figure it out I guess.
Thanks for reading.
Sorry for stealing your time for this.

Ramble about: Mikey! :D I wanna know all about the sunshine baby ;3; any verse and anything you wanna talk about
| Ramble about my muse
Imma do this where I start on things that apply to all takes of Mikey then more specific stuff for each verse I have. Mostly it'ss just be 2003 and 2012 though since Rise ive talked about so i left him out of his own section and 87 a bit newer so his bit will be the shortest.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Aromatic Pansexual. Mikey dosen't care to much for being in a romantic relationship this dosen't mean he won't he a bit content with his own interests and platonic relationships. It's why he tends to vicariously live and meddle a bit in his brothers/friends relationships.
He attracted to ones good vibes over their gender uwu. Mikey has actually gotten experience under his belt he just dosen’t talk about it. He can keep thinks more casual.
Genderfluid. pronouns? he will actually use any. he/him. They/Them. She/Her.
I have made a few mentions here and there on a few Mikey's being pretty open on their gender in responses. Like how Rise and 2012 both share an interest in painting their nails and their brothers nails or shells if they let him
Mikey dosen't use Labels however. He is just Mikey.
All Mikeys do like to paint their nails but they don't all push it to their brothers. 87/03 go with one color and its mostly just orange. 12/rise will mix it up and sometimes to mutplie colors at a time.
Highly empathic. Mikey is very attuned to others feelings it's why hes the likely the one you wanna meet first out of the four. He dosen't view many as threat which can be both bad and good. SO if Mikey DOSE feel someone can't be trusted it might pay to listen to him.
Has ADHD. Now really only the Rise version has this confirmed but well I always saw the case for 2003 and 2012 and I can see it easily applied to him over all.
Highly admires all his brothers. True to his place as the baby in the family Mikey looks up to his brothers and admires them for who they are. Often trying to emulate them.
Also because of that and his empathy hes highly aware of his older brothers hang ups and struggles. He knows Leo burned of Leader/How hard they are on themself (rise), He knows Raph carries the worlds problems on his shoulders, He knows Donnie sets his self worth into his mind and creations and feels like a failure if he cant fix an issue. Mikey is painfully aware of this all.
It why hes a tad more relaxed and laid back and tries to get them involved in his own antics. Or gets a bit to involved in what they are doing. Yeah hes annoying but its coming from a good place.
Super protective. Sorry to anyone who dates his brothers or takes a liking to them. Will he befriend you and be that siblings that steals his brothers partner away to hang with him? yes he will. But theres a slight motive behind it. He's making sure you good for his brothers and well thats a hard thing to crack to Mikey because of how highly he thinks of them. Even Casey someone he is friends with he has done this with.
That another thing out of all the turtles? Mikey is the one you don't wanna make mad. Sure Raph, Leo and even the rare times Donnie snap is something you wanna avoid but Mikeys worse. He aims to hurt. Last Ronin uwu is a good example or ya know 2012 throwing a whole couch out a window over Leo or Rise Mikey throwing buildings and boats even.
It's stated and shown in many of the shows and comics that Mikey could be one of the greatest ninjas out there, Even rivaling Leo's abilities. I feel last Ronin shows it most. He has often gotten the better of all his brothers when pitted against them at times. Mikey just lacks the drive, focus and motivation at times.
87
Has Severe stage fright, just can not handle the spot light funny enough.
Is a major gift giver for no reason at all. he just sees something and thinks his brothers would like it. Sometimes yeah its just a rock it made him think of them okay
Gets upset if his brothers disguises clash in anyway u-u just cause they live off trash don't mean they have to dress it.
Casey's look is trash but Casey scares him to much to say anything about it.
2003
Having to kill a deal with version of Splinter fucked with him a bit more than he has noticed. He felt guilty about it for months and made sure to be a bit more serious with training for a bit of time.
Loved super heros since his first comic book he ever came across.
His favorites are Captain America, Spider man, Batman and Wonder women.
It's what inspires him to feel he and brothers could do real good for the city. Not just simply hide away they can help people.
Helping others is his biggest goal. Even why he dawned the Turtle Titan persona.
Mikey dose a lot of charity work on his own. Making sure orphanages/foster homes are getting toys and essentials to the kids. Helping their homeless friends out with basics through the year.
What makes Mikey happiest? being useful to others even if he might complain here and there knowing he helped someone? it just feels nice.
2012
Admires Donnie the most of his brothers and is why he often is always in their lab. Also them always being team up as the B team adds to his closeness.
pretty open on his whole gender thing. He’s got a collection of dresses and wigs and such. It’s why he loves those teen magazines.
Loves to paint his brothers shells tends to keep him quite and it's a fun bonding moment for Mikey. At most it's just a small section hell do a small design on. But if they will let him go all out he will uwu
Has a few of online friends that he met from online games, he has actually met in person. Hes worried his brothers would freak out about it. So he kinds of keeps this fact to himself.
