Once again, since I’m still in my Smosh bullshit, Shourtney stans, I think you have delicious crumbs. There are 3 Smosh maincast other than Ian and Anthony, 5 Smosh Squad, and currently 15 active Smosh members but somehow they almost always next to each other in pictures. She can’t answer that FMK while she could’ve because why would it affect her. They have what kpop stans would call as “lovestagram” during their last vacation. And many many crumbs/proofs that is just so obvious not just on camera but also in igs and other stuffs.
Maybe it starts from “naah fans are weird for shipping us” and then few years passed as they get closer as friends, they are two of the people who stand besides Ian try to protect Smosh after Defy left them. Bond has formed and especially for them has turned to “wait a minute, what- 😳”.
You’re doing great by not blowing this out of proportion although the thing about being social media celebrity is that they will see the fan accounts a lot tho but hmmm yea. Tbh for me when it comes to western based contents, tumblr is still the safest place to ship, because only niche group of people would go on tumblr now lol so the chance they lurk here is low. But hey, let it ships and be shipped.
Don’t hear what those haters say, shippers somehow always become the punching bag, RPF or not, it’s ridiculous.

hi i love your posts and as a gojohime shipper.. i feel sad that there is alot of hate towards this ship since people keep saying she hates gojo or it does not make sense due to limited reactions. What do you feel about this. i think it is just a cute fun ship .. it sadly not canon due to lack of significance and screen time utahime's character. Do you think there is alot of wasted potential with jjk even without gojohime? like with female characters like Shoko and Utahime and character arcs.
Thanks for this ask, anon! I’ll break my answers into parts cuz I’m too much of a resident gojohime yapster 😩✊
Gojo and Utahime’s dynamic
I do think that Utahime does hate Gojo because she actually have valid reasons for it BUT this does not mean that I agree with the way people shit on this part of gojohime cuz they reduce their dynamic too much on “Utahime ABHORS Gojo,” the type of abhor like wishing death on someone, but like that ignores the nuances in their dynamic as well as the individual characters themselves.
At first, Utahime and Gojo’s dynamic seems strictly professional like you know that type of situation where you hate that one person at work but you put up with them to stay “professional” and not have your personal feelings interfere with work. It makes sense because the jujutsu world is such a tight knit community that they’re just stuck with each other, and for both Teacher Gojo and Utahime, they ultimately share the goal of nurturing a better generation. That’s why Utahime puts up with him.
However, of course, with my shipping goggles on, one thing that makes this so delish (aside from their trust on each other) is the man Gojo himself. Utahime tries so much to maintain her “dignity” and “professionalism” but Gojo just keeps on poking and annoying the fuck out of her as if like begging for her attention, and he does get a reaction from her that he seems to like(10 years of it cough cough plus he genuinely thinks that Uta's annoyance to him is their inside joke LMAO)! Comparing this “teasing” to Ijichi and Nanami, Utahime is the one that likely buttheads with him and you know what? Utahime does have valid reasons for “hating” and genuinely getting angry at Gojo. I’m gonna hold Gojo here accountable for the teasing because some fans might think that it’s just him going “haha JK!” but considering how merciless he is in insulting people “weak” and swings around his “The Strongest” title around people, Utahime has the right to be that mad and in some sense, this is like Utahime wanting Gojo to be accountable for his actions and just stop being a dickhead. Like sure, sure, it’s true that it makes sense Gojo is arrogant like that because he’s literally “The Strongest.” He’s literally untouchable.  Ijichi is intimidated by him so he’s passive with his teasing. Elders always are shitting their pants when he’s being unpredictable because they can’t stop him. Jeez, even Jogo is scared of him. His arrogance does get him somewhere though (especially when he’s beefing with higher ups to protect his students) and it allows him to get away with being an arrogant brat.
That’s exactly why Utahime’s constant butting heads to Gojo has so much flavour compared to his interaction with others.
Utahime’s constant “respect your senior” just wants Gojo here to see her eye-to-eye, not someone who’s weak or below him but treat her like a human person because she's strong willed like that, and of fucking curse, Gojo being the complicated one here, afterall the “haha weak” teasing, did ask for her help. It’s such a whiplash that Utahime even doubted his request, and Gojo being Gojo responded with his “cuz your weak” reasoning. *Cue that iconic gjhm scene*
Tumblr media
BUT ME? Nah, I wasn’t TOO convinced. Gojo’s a complicated guy and this is why I even did a breakdown on why his “haha weak” to Utahime questions is a weak attempt of him tryna cover his emotionally constipated ass.
Manga spoilers but ever since this manga panel dropped,
Tumblr media
it basically confirmed that Gojo sees himself as a separate category of people because his “The Strongest” title made him believe that, and this thinking puts him in a strained relationship to most people in his life. He tries to do things alone because others are just “too weak” to support him, like apparently it’s a constant game of a “it’s a skill issue” when it comes to relying to others. He does this to himself when the dude badly needs support, like my guy, you said it yourself that you can’t reform the entire jujutsu system alone lol.
But you know what’s crazy? His cahoots with Utahime is the closest thing to him letting others support him, especially someone he DEEMS “weak.” While yes later on, Gojo did ask Ijichi’s help for the Sukuna fight but Utahime gets a special mention here because she’s THE first. These two just stuck to each other despite being cities away. Moreover, both Utahime and Gojo are teachers who aim to nurture a better generation. They kinda understand each other in that department, ykyk. But then Gojo here isn’t really letting Utahime in because she’s supposedly “weak” and there’s the strained dynamic that surrounds it. Here’s an excellent post that isn’t mine that kinda explains this stuff too.
In other words, I do think Utahime hates Gojo because of how he treats people which is super neat to me cuz she wants him to be accountable and not get away from being an arrogant brat. Meanwhile, Gojo here, in an emotionally constipated, seems to yank her attention A LOT, and I even dare to think that even with walls that he builds, he craves for support but can't be totally upfront about it.
JJK and the wasted potential
The jjk fandom (even how divided we all are at times) can universally agree that Gege fumbled a lot of female characters. I have specifically talked about Utahime, Mai, and Nobara (And I’m working on another Utahime plus kyoto tech actually that was an ask from..months ago hehe) As for Shoko now, yes. I’ve read this one great post about her in how she goes against the “healer of the group” trope presented in shonen anime (example: Naruto’s Sakura and Bleach’s Orihime being the healer shown to have their hearts on their sleeves). I guess what I can say is there’s so much fun to explore with Shoko is her relationship with Utahime because even though she appears distant, she does in fact maintain a long term relationship with Uta. Another potential is her interacting with the students because the number of adults in the manga are literally almost next to none, I see her having the character arc of learning to open up to them and being that aunt who gets real with them why being an adult sucks over alcoholic drinks lol
As for the overall wasted potential from jjk, ngl I go through the cycle of grief whenever I felt this about jjk like yes, I do feel like Mai and Maki’s arc are handled badly and yes, I am saddened by the lack of kyoto tech exploration in the manga. There’s Nobara’s and Yuki's death. However, when hitting the acceptance stage, I just grew to understand that jjk is a bleak ass manga (and it rightfully established itself like that from the start with Junpei’s death) and deaths are a huge part of it which I think a huge chunk of the fandom sometimes FORGETS. Second, Gege’s just not interested in exploring shit that I like. So yeah, I just came to the conclusion that Gege is Gege and the only way he actually makes me keep reading jjk (even with the many heartbreaks of wasted potential I have with it) is how he’s handling Yuuji and Megumi right now cuz I’m pretty invested in them.

Any “Ted Lasso” fans looking for something to tide them over until the new season premieres? And “the bear” fans looking a dynamic where two people have an unexplainable connection, tension, and palpable chemistry as we wait for season 2?
Well, you should watch Pitch!
If you haven’t seen Pitch, it’s this phenomenal and magical show that premiered in 2016 and only lasted one season. It’s a fictional show about the first female baseball player in the MLB and it was a show way ahead of it’s time.
Like, chef’s kiss shippers, y’all know how we spiral about how Sydney was a fan of Carmy’s, but didn’t want to let it show. And he like…becomes a fan of hers??? Well, that’s Ginny and Mike for you. As a kid, Ginny idolized Mike, and then gets to work with him (he’s a catcher and the captain of the team and she’s the pitcher.) Still carries his rookie card and had his poster on his wall when she was younger.
And Mike becomes a fan of her!
Both of them try to play it cool because they truly admire each other professionally and it shows, but their chemistry pops off the screen.
And Ginny is so damn good at all of this (and both not!). She’s a really good pitcher and is charming and knows how to juggle many thing, but we see what the pressure does to get and how it manifests and why it does. And we get it. She’s so smart and funny, but real! She doesn’t feel like a character, but a person with real flaws.
And you see how layered Mike is behind all of the bravado. He’s a walking human disaster, but you love him because he does try his best and is so supportive of Ginny!
Like I’m not going to even touch on everything because you have to experience this firsthand to get it!
(Ginny/Mike are called bawson. This isn’t confirmation as to whether or not the show hints at them or that they’re canon, but rather, the chemistry was just there and you’ll ship it regardless of the show’s stance. Lol)
And ted lasso fans, if you like tedbecca, you’ll like love bawson. But that’s not my sell to you guys, it’s about the relationships in this show. About how it’s not all or nothing and people are allowed to grow, change, and redeem themselves. How people work to get over past trauma and that everyone isn’t secretly out to get you—sometimes if you give them a chance, they can surprise you. It’s about mental health and the toll it takes. How we juggle responsibilities and deal with controversies. The old v the new and whether they have to work against one another or can work together.
The seasoned veteran and the hot shot new guy. Your allies at work and found family. The things we carry ourselves either because we have to or we feel that we’d burdened others.
And there’s more sports play here, but in a way that won’t bore you. Mike and Ginny talking on the pitcher’s mound and Mike giving her speeches. Or ginny taking control of shit because she can save herself.
Think of the strong badass women we see in Sydney, Rebecca, and Keeley and you have that in Ginny. Mike isn’t as grumpy as Roy, but he’s like a mix of Roy and Jamie. Lol.
If you’re one of my followers or mutuals and you trust my taste, DEFINITELY check this out. There are some shows I’m unsure of how people will receive, but almost everyone who has seen this show fucking loves it and are still heartbroken about it’s cancellation, including myself. People still literally reference this show for best shows cancelled too early, one of the best sports shows despite one season, and articles have been written yearly about how great and ahead of it’s time “pitch” was.
Check out the ten glorious eps on Hulu and tell me if I’ve steered you wrong or not.

After weeping about Upstead the entirety of yesterday, I feel slightly better. Sure I still feel betrayed, annoyed amd heartbroken. But I also need to believe that they can come out of this. How? I don't know. But I definitely do not think that this is over yet. We just got started, we got Hailey-centric's coming, there is still ways to go. Even if Hailey were to take her ring off (which is only a speculation honestly from Tracy) it doesn't mean it's over. Just like you said, divorce papers signed by both of them or a death. Until then there is always a chance for them. I need to believe that they are destined to be together.
I am all of the things you mentioned. It’s a lot to take in and it is sure a lot to process. It is a heavy mix of so many different factors: I’m sad for my ship and characters, as a fan of the actors I am angry on their behalf that they have to deal with this kind of storyline, I feel used and betrayed by writers who we thought we could trust. So yeah, it’s okay to feel all these things. Each angle brings out a different emotion, at least for me.
What I will say is the beauty of television is just that, it’s almost magic. There’s almost a way out of anything these days. I believe they can come out of this, that there is some kind of fix it for all of this… But the road to get there is what makes me stop and pause, wondering what it will look like.
I just touched on this in another ask BUT the question about the ring doesn’t scare me as much as it should. The interviewer that asked that question isn’t one of my favorites, at all. I think she enjoys the clout that she knows upstead fans can bring. We also need to remember that question was asked back in December of 2022, before they left for the holiday break. Most likely Tracy hadn’t seen any script beyond episode 12. I’m not saying the moment may not happen or may not becoming soon, just contextually when she was asked that question she didn’t have any kind of definitive answer. I also think that Tracy, as an actress, is going to try and answer questions in the most professional way she can. Regardless of where you stand on them outside of work, Tracy and Jesse are close. It’s got to be personally and professionally very hard for Tracy to have to go to set and work without someone who she’s shared nearly all of her screen time with. And the writers are still using her screen partner for her current storyline without him being there. I firmly believe that both Tracy and Jesse are Upstead shippers - I think they are Upstead’s number one fan(s). So that question poses an interesting dichotomy for Tracy to answer, and at the time given what she did know, I think she answered it to the best of her ability.
I will also end with this: just because she takes off her ring doesn’t necessarily mean it’s over. It’s not over until I see some divorce papers. They did it with Abby, surely they’d do it to them IF that’s where they take this.

(shipper DNI)
okay but could you imagine a submas infinity train au?
those two would be WAY too excited to get abducted by a weird ghost train, which is exactly how they get got in the first place. a strange train they’ve never seen in the subway before rolls up and they just go “that must be for me!”
as for the plot details...
ingo disappears first. he stays late at the station, something he’s done plenty of times before. something he’s done a lot lately. there’s paperwork that needs to be done after all, safety checks to carry out, maintenance to run. emmet’s always been a bigger fan of the battle side of things, there’s no need for him to handle the trains.
the security cameras the next day show ingo walking past the platforms. there’s an eerie green light coming from one of the tunnels. there shouldn’t be any trains running so late. the feed glitches, and by the time it’s stabilized, both ingo and the light are gone.
this, obviously, wrecked emmet. his brother just vanished into thin air.
the disappearance threw emmet’s life off the rails. everything starts to revolve around ingo, ingo, ingo.
have you seen ingo? have you heard from him? have you found anything yet? anything at all?
running a subway on your own is much more challenging that running it as a duo. was ingo really doing so much? he must have been swamped with work. he must have been miserable. why didn’t he say something? did he not trust emmet?
did he resent him? is that why he left?
emmet does it all. he doesn’t complain. everything must be perfect for when ingo comes back.
there are parts of his (their) apartment that he hasn’t touched in months. ingo wouldn’t like it if he messed with his stuff.
when it becomes apparent that the official investigation into ingo’s disappearance isn’t making any headway, emmet takes it up. he’s burning the candle at both ends, between keeping the battle subway running and looking for ingo. he only goes home to sleep.
YEARS go by like this. elesa tries to convince emmet to talk to a professional, but who has the time for that these days? she finds it harder and harder to reach him.
one night, he decides to walk the platforms where ingo disappeared again. maybe he’ll see something he didn’t see before. something that could make sense of these last few years. anything.
and then, an unscheduled train arrives at the station. it looks nothing like their trains.
this has to be it.
emmet does not hesitate. he boards the train.
for the infinity train itself, i’m not sure how different it would be in a pokemon crossover. the only difference i can think of is that the animal-like denizens leans more towards certain pokemon than their real-world counterparts. like, the cat would definitely be a glameow, right?
i don’t actually have many ideas for what kind of denizen would accompany emmet.
while emmet loves the idea of traveling through a HUGE TRAIN, every time he makes the transfer between the cars, his only thought is, “ingo would have loved this.”
because he wears gloves (and it’s also uncommon to encounter other passengers), emmet doesn’t notice his number at first. when he does, though, it’s at 134.
the whole point of emmet being on the train is to find that balance in his life again. it hurts that ingo is gone, but he can’t spend his whole life waiting on him. he needs to be emmet again, even if that means being only emmet.
and for a time, it does work! emmet has fun on his own for the first time in years. some of these cars are straight up goofy! his smile starts to feel genuine again.
because of this, his number starts to gradually go down. 129, 118, 115. he hasn’t made the real progress yet, but he’s gotten a start.
there’s just one cog in the wheels, so to speak
ingo has been on the train for years. he knows the point of it already. you get a number, you sort yourself out, the number hits zero, and then you leave. simple, right?
of course, it’s hard to fix what’s wrong with you when you don’t exactly remember who you are.
his memory starts in a snowy car on the train. he has his jacket pulled around him, and he has a death grip on its ends. he doesn’t know why.
ingo’s number has been stuck at 134 for as long as he can remember. which, to be fair, isn’t so long. it isn’t going down, but at least it hasn’t gone up.
anything that ingo knows about the world outside of the train is spotty at best. it’s familiar to him, in a nostalgic sense. he thinks something similar was part of his life before.
he doesn’t really have much to go on. when he meets another passenger on occasion, they’re always reluctant to help him.
sometimes he sits on the platforms near the cars’ exits. he just watches the wheels spin.
i think if ingo had a denizen who travelled with him, it would probably be similar to a sneasel. maybe he has a flute, too. being able to play melodies is very soothing, even if he can’t remember how he learned them.
the twins’ reunion is not pleasant
emmet hears rumors, some of which he puts stock in. sometimes, a denizen will look at him and realize they aren’t talking to the human they thought they were. they always try to ask him to play a song.
he enters a desolate car, a sort of desert. except he can hear a flute in the distance.
when they finally come face to face, for the first time in years, it’s like a dam breaks
for some reason, emmet’s first instinct is anger. he’s never been more upset with his brother. literal years of heartache and searching, and this is where he’s been the whole time? playing the flute on a fun little magic train? he CHOSE to get on this train, CHOSE to leave emmet.
ingo just can’t wrap his head around any of this. he doesn’t know who this man is, but at the same time, he has the distinct feeling that he’s come across something very important.
both of their numbers are skyrocketing, by the way. they only notice when they breach 300, at which point their argument comes to an abrupt stop.
they’re quiet for a while.
“I’m sorry,” Ingo suddenly speaks up, breaking their silence. He doesn’t look up when he says it, too busy running a thumb over the neon green number on his hand. “I think I hurt you.”
Ingo looks small when he sits like that, with his legs drawn up. It reminds Emmet of when they were kids.
“I shouldn’t have said that,” Emmet admits, shifting his position to sit next to his brother. He bumps their shoulders together, having the distinct impression Ingo isn’t in the mood for hugs right now. “I missed you.”
Though Emmet waits for it, Ingo doesn’t respond. He almost seems to shrink in on himself.
Ingo takes Emmet’s hand, the one with the number, and turns his palm up. “If you get it all the way down, an exit will appear, and you’ll be able to go home. Take it. Forget about me.”
“But how could I do that to you?” Emmet asks. It’s innocent enough, but the way Ingo goes stiff next to him...
“Ingo?”
It’s when Ingo looks up at Emmet that their eyes finally meet.
“It’s funny,” Ingo says, but Emmet can tell that neither of them can find any humor in this situation. “When I look at you, I feel like you’re someone very important. But I don’t even know your name.”

Ted Lasso 2x8 thoughts
I am so lucky that the creators of Ted Lasso decided to make this entire show specifically for me. #blessed
If last week felt like a bit of breathing room (albeit tense, poignant, character-progressing breathing room) with distinct narrative lines, this week’s episode was a chaotic yet tightly-written swirl of pain and hope and sadness! No neat subject headers for this one, y’all. Just my brain and heart in the inadequate form of a bulleted list. It is the medium available to me at this time.
I am going to remember the moment when Ted calls Sharon and tells her his father killed himself for the rest of my life.
(I could say a bunch of stuff about his face and what he says and how he tries to hide his tears from Beard right after and how insanely much I adore this character and ahhhhhhhh but I’m just going to leave that scene there in our collective memories.)
Jamie. JAMIE. Higgins has given some great advice about love on this show, but his musings about his up-and-down relationship with his own father were not helpful in the context of Jamie’s dad, who is an abusive piece of shit. I really adore that all of the main AFC Richmond staff members are realistically a bit hit-or-miss with their advice and life philosophies (some are mostly miss this season, of course).
And I am completely in awe of the moment when Jamie punches his father. The way he just stands there after Beard kicks his dad out of the locker room. The way you can hear a pin drop. And Roy—Roy who is learning in so many areas of his life about his influence on people, learning that the things he needs aren’t necessarily the same as the things other people need—is the one to cross the room and hug him. Hold him, really, with the tenderness Ted used when he hugged Rebecca outside the gala in 1x4. God.
I’ve thought a lot about how s1 was about giving people a soft place to land. There’s always an angel there when you need one. There’s always an opportunity to be kind. If you look for someone, you find them. If you look for the good in someone, you find the good. And as everyone works through their individual journeys in s2, that can’t always be the case anymore. But there are still so many moments of angels on this show, and it’s not about chance and serendipity and fate [not that it was about that in s1] but about the effort it takes to become someone who can be there for someone else. Or who can be there for yourself. I’m so proud of Jamie for physically fighting back against his father. I’m so proud of Roy for being the one who recognized what Jamie needed.
I have every feeling in the world about how Ted is almost totally frozen both times (s1 and s2) he witnesses Jamie’s father abusing him. In s1, he was still there for Jamie after, and I have every reason to believe he’ll be there for Jamie after this incident as well, but that frozen stance HURTS. He’s in so deep with his pain about his own father that it’s like he physically cannot snap out of it to act in the moment. It seems entirely outside of his control, and it breaks my heart, because Ted wants so badly to be a good father, a good coach, a good friend, a good partner, a good patient. He’s there for people in all kinds of ways, even in his current less-than-capable state. He takes care of Sharon post-concussion and even gets her a new bike! During the disastrous match at Wembley his coaching is ineffectual and everything is chaos but he’s the last one standing on the pitch! But this really awful thing keeps happening to Jamie and Ted is just…frozen in the face of it. Like one of those nightmares where you’re running in place.
The frozen-in-place nightmare also kind of applies to the way the total separation between Ted and Rebecca feels, too. I have never for a moment doubted the writers’ intentions in setting these characters up as soulmates on parallel journeys, and I’m actually really digging (on a story level) how disconnected they are right now. It is IMPRESSIVE that their absence in each other’s lives feels like such a glaring loss, one we cannot forget even as there are so many other things happening onscreen. It is 100% not just shipper goggles making me process information about Ted while thinking about Rebecca and information about Rebecca while thinking about Ted. I know there are a lot of really angry and frustrated people in the fandom right now (both T/R shippers and T/R antis and non-shipping fans who don’t get why s2 is different from s1) and while I understand being frustrated by choices characters make, and frustrated by the feelings the show makes us feel that we just want to feel more of or less of, I continue to agree with pretty much every narrative choice happening right now.
Agreeing with the narrative like this?! This is such a unique experience for me as a viewer—to feel like I’m on a ride that is at once absolutely wild and incredibly sensible and well-crafted, and to feel simultaneously completely invested and anticipatory and speculative but also totally willing to trust where it goes. I long for Ted and Beard to really talk. I long for Ted and Rebecca to stop missing each other. I long for Roy to have a serious conversation with Ted about what’s happening with him. I long for Keeley to find a vocation, something that drives her beyond her projects. I long for so many things! But I wouldn’t long for them if this show was less good. If the show was less good, I wouldn’t have a wish list a mile long because I wouldn’t be so attuned to the details and potential lurking in every scene. THIS IS SUCH A GOOD SHOW, I CANNOT HANDLE IT, I LOVE IT SO MUCH.
(To that end, a great deal of the Ted Lasso tag and so many Twitter reactions reactions to the show feel super stressful right now and I am kind of just trying not to look?! I love this fandom so much because of the amazing conversations that happen and because of brilliant fic and because there are some awesome people I never would have encountered were it not for this show. That little bubble is wonderful and I’d stay in this fandom no matter what in order to keep experiencing those things. But fans’ catastrophic reactions to every little thing that happens, every little choice a character makes that isn’t the “perfect” choice? The takeaway that the writers—on this show of all shows—wake up in the morning ready for another day of torturing shippers rather than another day of writing a beautiful story they genuinely want to write? I do not enjoy those parts at all. I would like to opt out of those parts. I’m having such a magical experience watching this show and talking about this show and listening about this show and writing about this show with a variety of people who feel all kinds of ways. I truly wish I could somehow transfer the energy of this experience onto all the people who are hating it right now. I don’t mind at all that people are having vastly different reactions to this show and are sharing their honest feelings, including the really angry ones (I can appreciate something and disagree with it!), and I get that sometimes the language of fannish reactions is intentionally, ironically hyperbolic. But there feels like this very serious trend of people legitimately thinking writers on this show are targeting shippers and have lost respect for their characters, and I just feel like an alien from another planet when I see that stuff. I guess I just feel like people make art because they want their art to be visible to other people and to themselves, but that doesn’t typically involve specifically catering to or torturing a subset of that audience?)
I am more fascinated by Sharon Fieldstone than ever before. I have been running through every single action with her and Ted so many times. The confirmation that she’s living in club-provided housing (that could not look more different from Ted’s club-provided flat). Ted clearly noticing the many bottles. Sharon’s face while she tries to casually recycle them. (Sharon could legitimately have a more problematic relationship with alcohol than Ted does, and I find that extremely interesting and am very curious to find out what happens there.) Sharon leaving him voice notes while she’s concussed, probably because she’d been thinking about him shortly before the accident. The way Ted calls her and does all the funny voices and it’s not frustrating like all the times he uses his silliness and allusions to deflect during their prior conversations because this time, those behaviors are just a part of him showing care for another person. The way they stretch each other, and Ted is still wrong about the things he’s been wrong about, but they both grow all the same.
While it is pretty much impossible for me to imagine that this show would include an actual romantic relationship between Ted and Sharon (it would be beyond unethical even if they could write it well, and Sharon in particular is so professional and committed to her work, and it would erase so much of the powerful message about the importance of seeking therapy from a professional who is not your friend or partner, and I would totally hate it), watching this episode was the first moment I had this queasy little feeling that it’s possible that Ted could end up developing really complicated feelings about Sharon since, at this point, he’s been honest with her about things he’s hardly spoken about before and you can really form an attachment to people you feel safe with in a new way. (I mean, I’m sure Michelle knows what happened with Ted’s father, but I’m not even certain if Beard does.) He’s so broken right now, and Sharon is such a great person and so different from anyone else in his life (even though Rebecca is also different, and Beard is also different, and Roy is also different, and so on), that I could see things getting really fuzzy for him. I continue to have faith in the way the storylines on this show are handled. I’m just. Putting this here.
(In saying that, though, I also wanna make it really clear that I don’t just automatically assume anytime a new female character is introduced that they’re going to end up becoming a romantic complication. Like, Phoebe is allowed to have a teacher who is an attractive woman and AFC Richmond is allowed to have a sports psychologist who is an attractive woman and Keeley is allowed to talk to Jamie Tartt without it threatening what she has with Roy and all these people can exist as human beings without the introduction of romantic drama.)
Isaac gives every player one haircut per season, OH MY GOD. The JOY during the haircut scene. YES.
KEELEY AND REBECCA. Their text thread. The affirming video call right before Rebecca goes into the restaurant. The way Keeley sits all snuggled up against Rebecca in her office.
I was pretty thoroughly spoiled for the Sam and Rebecca plot through 2x8, and I was bracing for something far more problematic and tortured than what happens in this episode. The words I would use to describe their scenes: awkward, cute, cringy, and understandable. There are a million reasons why this relationship isn’t sustainable, but I felt completely understanding of both their choices here. This show has a lot of thesis statements, but I keep going back to the idea from 2x1 that there are people who enter your life to help you get to the next point, and I think it’s entirely possible that Sam and Rebecca will mutually be that for each other.
I find comparisons between Rupert and Rebecca super upsetting. There are absolutely meaningful things to say about the irony of ending up in a situation with an uncomfortable resemblance to certain taboo elements of an ex’s situation. But that ex is abusive and manipulative and cruel and Rebecca has exhibited NONE of those behaviors, and it makes me really sad to think that people feel that the writers on this show have betrayed Rebecca in giving her this storyline.
As always, I reserve the right to keep blathering about this show. I’ve had a headache for a couple of days, but my head is also so full of 2x8 thoughts that I couldn’t keep them in even if the circumstances for writing this were not ideal. I kind of hate that I’ve included frustrated fandom thoughts within the analysis of what I felt was an absolutely gorgeous, complicated, heartbreaking, near-perfect episode of television, but if ya can’t be a little dramatic on your own tumblr while you’re feeling raw and under the weather, where can ya?

soulmates: an analysis of han joon hwi and kang sol a
aka: why i am either ways going to be satisfied with no confession or having a confession scene.
please don’t come for me, i’m just expressing my thoughts this! i’m a big solhwi shipper, but viewing this in a different perspective is a possibility too.
firstly, we have to address kim beom and ryu hye young’s interview here, specifically from 1:02. kim beom describes the relationship as “going further than the relationship between the opposite gender.” specifically summed into a simple word: soulmates.
as we watch the show, from sol’s first interaction with joon when she begs him to save her life, we see the relationship slowly grow. we see her and him working in sync. we see joon caring for her, helping her with cases.
the same thing about sharing pain. when professor yang is almost dying, sol is frantic and hurting, knowing how much yang must be suffering and how she wants to save him. joon, understanding her, runs after her, then further stays with her until she has calmed down. he did that, because he shared her feelings, and understood how much yang meant to sol.
throughout, we see joon acting flirty, giving smiles and heart eyes to sol, while sol only brushes them away and gives an occasional return. but we have to remember: joon could be like this in nature.
in the beginning, we witness a scene of joon helping sol b put on her spectacles. a small win for solbxjoonhwiw shippers, but it also brings out an important feature. being caring, good hearted, and naturally flirty might be in joon’s nature. it’s further backed up by his protection of yeseul over yeongchang. when he is being labelled ‘two-timer’, he doesn’t show shock, but just embraces it, knowing how his actions, being protective to his friends and caring, could be misinterpreted in many eyes.
thus, i take with a grain of salt every physical interaction that joon has with sol. that maybe he has feelings, maybe they are just best friends.
thus leading to my point on soulmates.
i have read enough pics and analysis to know soulmates. soulmates aren't just romantic partners or your spouse. they are that person you are willing to go through hell and back for. it could be a best friend, it could be a family member, it could be romantic. but not all soulmates are romantic partners. soulmates extend beyond “i love you” and “i will be with you for life, till death do us apart”. soulmates means “i will stand by you, even if you are ostracised, ruined, broken and the world is against us. it's not only because i love you (romantically or not), but because i trust you. i believe you. i trust your actions, your morals, and everything you are.”
as shown, joon and sol have a high amount of trust for one another. sol trust joon enough to reveal her private life and that she has a twin to him. sol trusts him to walk her home and tells him her thoughts and feelings, without a filter. joon trust her enough to let her be the first few persons to be involved on his uncle’s murder mystery. joon lets sol help, knowing she will handle it well because of this unsaid trust.
a confession scene will confirm that he is flirty, or specifically, more flirty and caring around sol. it confirms their feelings that, yes, those damm dumbos are in love and everyone knows it, except them.
however, i will not be too surprised if it doesn't happen. a murder mystery, multiple cases, estranged (injured) siblings, a missing son in states, a whole assemblyman to take down, as well as finding out who is the mastermind behind this chess game. this adds on to sol’s financial problem, yeseul’s pressing of charges, yebeom’s reveal of being a inner spy, solb and her mommy issues, and seungjae’s involvement in all of this. coupled with how the law school is coping, how all of them are going to be viewed and more.
it’s too overwhelming to tie up the loose ends AND add a confession scene. i would suspect that it will be very rushed.
with that said, will a season 2 be likely?
i would imagine, it’s about a 70% chance. looking at reviews, it is highly rated on netflix and quite well liked by k-netizens. however, if not marketed well, a season 2 may flop and end in a ditch somewhere. there is definitely expansion on season 2. (what is seungjae doing now? how is his relationship with his wife? will dan reconnect with sol? how about professor kang?) for there to be an actual plot and depth to it, some endings may have to be left untied, or someone will have to be killed, in an attempt to cover up a deeper conspiracy.
in my own opinion, i would definitely love a season 2. i would love to see these students grow and graduate. i want to see them at their full potential and embark on their road to law professionals. while the love line between bokgi and yeseul, jiho and solb, and our beloved solhwi is secondary, i would want to see further interactions on yeseul trusting bokgi, solb and jiho having their own moments, and of course solhwi.
it's been a journey, so conclusion: a season 2 is very much wanted!! thank you for reading this for those who read this. do let me know how you feel and your thoughts! i respect everyone’s thoughts equally, and would love to hear from you all.

7x07: The Mentalists
Then:
Tumblr media
Dean’s drinking professionally this season
Now:
At a seance, a couple inquire about their Uncle Danny. The woman is interested in knowing if he’s happy and with the family dog.
Tumblr media
The man wants to know where some important papers are located. The psychic seems in control at first, but when the lights flicker and the flames in the fireplace grow, she looks surprised. The planchette moves ALL on its own and the air gets frosty. Then the planchette impales itself in the psychic’s neck.
Dean’s all alone and driving a crappy, stolen car after his bust up with his brother and the Leviathan’s making the Impala a wanted vehicle. He learns of deaths in Lily Dale, the most psychic town in America, and hits the road.
At the crime scene, he finds all the tricks the psychic employed, and then heads to Good Graces Cafe.
Tumblr media
It’s not his type of place, but he hears his brother’s voice. Sam’s in town too to investigate. Dean jumps right into his everything’s good and let’s work the case spiel, but Sam is not happy.
Tumblr media
Dean gives up the facade and tells Sam they might as well work together to get the case over with. A woman walks in and recognizes them. They convince her that they’re not the Winchesters, and then her dining partner comes up and recognizes them as FBI. They both express their shock at the deaths. The man introduces himself as a spoon bender.
Tumblr media
The brothers start looking at the victims. Dean notes that they both had the same necklace, possibly a cursed object.
They head to interview Melanie, the granddaughter to one of the victims. They ask about the necklace, and she tells them all her things went to the emporium. They ask to see the necklace.
Tumblr media
And then they take it under the FBI pretense. The shop owner says it’s the Orb of Thesulah. Dean wonders what that is. Sam points out that it’s a fake --and a town of fakes. Shocking.
That night, the man from the cafe pulls out his utensils to practice his craft. Suddenly they all stand on end and he gets whisked above them, only to fall to his death.
Tumblr media
The brothers check out the crime scene and learn the man had a vision of his own death. Dean then gets a call from Melanie, and they head to her house to talk. She tells them that her grandmother left her a voicemail message of her own coming death. When she mentions that the air got cold, the brothers tell her they’re dealing with a ghost.
She does not believe them.
Tumblr media
They tell her their story. She needs a drink (and so does Dean.)
Sam and Dean realize how difficult their situation is --fake and probably real psychics, ghosts, and a whole lot of confusion. They split up to canvas the town.
Camille Thibodeaux, a friend of Melanie's, has a death vision. She calls Melanie, and her friend brings Dean.
Tumblr media
Camille tells him about her death vision. Dean cannily surveys the room and spots a security camera. Cut to later, where they watch her get attacked by an actual G-G-G-GHOST on the camera footage. Melanie remembers seeing a picture of the ghost in the museum.
At the museum, the tour guide spins a little backstory towards us. Hooking into the “brothers rift” theme of Season 7, we hear about sibling fights in the psychic gallery PLUS one success story of two brothers who got along famously. “Of course, that was just a stage name. They weren't actually brothers. That was a cover for their, um... alternative lifestyle.” Cut to a closeup of Dean.
Tumblr media
They spot the Fox sisters’ portrait. One of the sisters (the ghost) was known for her death prophecies and telekinesis. The older sister, the museum guide reports, “didn't have her sister's charisma, but she looked after Kate. Sometimes, one's true gift is taking care of others.” Sometimes I watch these thesis statements on Dean and shriek at such a high pitch that I break every pane of glass in the gas station. Sam heads off to dig up some Fox sister skeletons, but the tour guide grabs Dean. “Do you know an Eleanor or an Ellen?”
Tumblr media
“She seems quite concerned about you. She wants to tell you – pardon me – if you don't tell someone how bad it really is, she'll kick your ass from beyond. You have to trust someone again eventually.” ANYWAY. The tour guide fucks off and leaves both Dean AND myself shattered into a million pieces.
Dean storms out moments later and demands that Sam treat him with a modicum of courtesy. Sam entrenches in his anger. When Dean defends his choice to kill Amy, he then also dredges up Sam’s best pal, Hallucifer as reason number one to coddle Sam.
Later at the cemetery, Dean stands watch while Sam digs up a grave. They wonder why the ghost is warning all the psychics before killing them. The ghost zooms up just as they’re about to salt and burn the body. She seems relatively stable for a murderous ghost and pleads with them to listen to her. WHY won’t anybody listen to her? GIRLFRIEND, I feel you.
Tumblr media
Sam and Dean torch her and she flames out dramatically. Camille and Melanie celebrate the good news: the ghost is, uh, dead. Re-dead-ified? Back at Camille’s place, they pack a quick bag. The death omens start to spiral around poor Camille. The older Fox sister arrives as a desperate Melanie calls the Winchesters for help. Melanie ineffectually tosses an empty salt container at the spirit before watching her friend get killed before her eyes. UUUUGH.
Later, a grieving Melanie shoos the Winchesters out of her home, telling them that Margaret (the ghost) enjoyed killing her friend. That morning, they dig up Margaret’s grave. “I feel naked doing this in daylight,” Dean observes. Oh, sunshine. From the shadowed forest, something lurks. Unfortunately, nothing lurks in the actual grave. Margaret’s coffin lies empty. Later, Dean notices a flyer for an upcoming psychic festival. All the headliners featured in the poster are now all dead. Dean runs this theory by Melanie, who realizes that she’s the next logical successor to the Lilydale psychic throne.
Tumblr media
Sam heads back to the thrift shop to pursue new necromancer leads while Dean tries to ghost proof Melanie. He surrounds her in a great big salt circle. (SALT HULA HOOP, I whisper in Dean’s ear.)
Sam bursts into the suspected necromancer’s house only to find a lamaze class. He and Dean realize that the pawn shop owner is the necromancer, trying to feed them false leads. This is all very useful, but it doesn’t help Melanie. Margaret shows up at the house ready to REDRUM.
Breaking into the pawn shop owner’s house, Sam finds a spooky altar complete with a skull. The necromancer levels a gun at Sam.
The ghost appears, blowing out Melanie’s windows. RUDE! They fight while the necromancer monologues over them, telling Sam that he’s a real psychic. He just doesn’t get top billing because he’s not that pretty or charismatic.
Tumblr media
Sam grows weary of the villain-splaining and shoots the necromancer. He then heads into the dude’s bedroom where he finds Margaret’s bones...in his bed. Welp. Good night, everybody!
After Sam torches the bones and saves Melanie, Dean gets the full recap at the psychic diner.
For Dean and Flowers Science:
Tumblr media
Sam bows out of the conversation when Melanie arrives. Dean desperately tries to minimize his feats of heroism. She thanks him anyway and they both circle around the mutual-attraction-imcompatible-lifestyles hole. Honestly, I am so firmly entrenched in the Cas endgame but WHY don’t I read more of Dean/Melanie in fics? She’s a cutie! And then we can have Shipper!Melanie too.
Dean leaves the diner to find that Sam’s moved his duffel to Dean’s car. Sam tells Dean that he understands why he killed Amy now. He ALSO tries to get Dean to admit that he’s swirling around the black hole of drinky drinky despair. Dean tells Sam that he killed Amy out of instinct - he didn’t trust her. “Ever since Cas, I’ve had a hard time trusting anybody.” GUH. Dagger to the heart.
Tumblr media
They trundle off into the next episode. (GUYS, this was written by THE Acker and Blacker duo! I had no idea!)
Look Into the Crystal Quotes:
See, there’s fake woo woo crap. And there’s real woo woo crap
This is gonna be looking like a needle in a stack of fake needles
If you affirmate me, I’m gonna punch you in the face

Thank you for answering my question, and I noticed how you said the writers are still going with Handon but in my personal opinion I think that ship has wrecked because apparently Julie Plec left the show and the writing the script for it, now for Hosie I actually do believe that at some point they will start to date just to give the Hosie shippers some desert for that, but I don’t think they’ll be endgame in the end like how Damon and Elena were. I loved how you described Holarke and how you said they can really balance each other out it makes sense. I also have a deep feeling that Holarke will eventually be endgame in the end of the show but who knows I could be wrong. :)
Thank you for asking and enjoying it♥️ oh you’ve no idea how much I wish that I’m wrong about the Handon thing. I’ll gladly receive that prove 🤣
Yes, they’re wrecked but the writers always are able to miraculously bring back Landon, having those big mistakes he did conveniently justified where other characters just have to suck it up, and bear the consequences (like ripper MG and Dark Josie). As you can see, they even undo the seemingly irredeemable breakup, and everything MaliLandon did here, cannot be accountable by Landon, because while ripper MG and Dark Josie is part of who they are, MaliLandon isn’t. Even Hope doesn’t have such privileges, you know? Like what she did in 308, as events unveiled now, her actions are totally not justifiable. Whereas can you think of any big mistakes that Landon made are not justifiable? I can’t. There’s someone saying that on Twitter that Brett confirmed that Landon is his self-insert....I don’t go on Twitter I couldn’t verify the source, so I may be very wrong about that. Who knows? From what I saw in 316, it’s the whole Legacies telling us Handon is totally rebooting. I have my two ships telling me that Landon is the one for Hope, very deliberately.
Who knows, maybe you’re right? Anyway, I just don’t trust the writers to be professional enough to set up two relationships starting and breaking up in the time span of nearly end of 4b and the whole season 5.
In the professional perspective, I have to say that Matt Davis is more professional than the writers. As we can see just how much the writers hate Alaric, his characters is all over the place and a joke, my bet that’s because their hate for Matt make such writing results to Alaric. On the other hand, while Matt is totally one who deserves the hate from the public, he does his work professionally, he did what he got from the script with respect. Alaric deserves better writing regardless of the how unpopular the actor is to the public. And here we thought the writers out of all people would know the differences between actors and characters.
All in all, I just don’t think that the writers and the producers themselves are professional and open-minded enough to do the right thing for the majority of the fandom. They are proven to be stubborn and unprofessional, so no expectations at all. (Buzzfeed poll does reveal that only 7% of the fandom actually love Handon)

any hc about po with dementia
or if crane finds that po is depressed/suicidal (prane is cool too)
This is yet another ask I stalled on cuz I wanted to write a short skit for the dementia part I hate laziness (but tbh it's probably cuz I'm not a part of this fandom anymore still tho) either way am sorry for the really long wait anon 😣 *cutely ignores the "or" and does both prompts*
Dementia!Po
Typically develops due to old age/failing health, but in this case, it would make a little bit more sense for it to be a result of a bad head injury.
Fights can get rough, especially when you're dealing with a more powerful enemy, so, the enemy was fighting dirty, and did not show any mercy to Po.
The fight that is happening, would resemble the one that happened in s2ep7-8 of legends of awesomeness (if you don't know what I'm talking about, you're gonna have to look it up, I would rather not spoil in case someone who hasn't seen it is reading this)
I guess, because of his chi, he recovers a bit faster than a regular kung fu master, but he's still in bad shape
He's quite confused and disoriented, in which Shifu and the Five dismiss as a result of having engaged in a hard battle, not yet knowing the severity of the situation yet
They do recognize that he hit his head really hard, and take him back, and have a medical professional come over to check on him
As time passes, Po first starts to forget what he's talking about, and often stutters trying to remember what he was saying
Then he starts to forget how to do kung fu, and all the valuable things he has learned as Dragon Warrior
Then he starts to forget everything that's led up to him being in the Jade Palace.. is that the name? He's losing his memories.
The hardest part, is not forgetting about himself (last stage), but forgetting the people around him. His friends and family, he can't place a name to them, and it's like, he knows, but doesn't have the knowledge of them.
The gang tries to help him remember, by reminding him of his signature moves, giving him his favorite foods, even having him let the day off and have him do the things he likes, but it's not working
Even when they remind him of who they are, and what he'd call them if he was, well, himself, Po doesn't know who the people talking to him are.
For example, Monkey would tell him, "Hey.. remember me? Monkey? Your best pal? We'd pull pranks on the others a lot..." and his heart sinks when Po just looks back at him, with confused and dull eyes, he doesn't remember.
This is even worse than if he had died during the fight. At least they don't have to watch him lose somebody they knew so we'll, become someone they don't know at all.
It's frustrating for Po himself too, because, in the early stages, he knew that he recognizes, but he just.. he just cant.
Depressed/Suicidal!Po
Po isn't too good at hiding his feelings, especially if he's really feeling it hard, so it's kind of a stick out to the others something is up with him.
If I ever said anything otherwise about that uhmm no I didn't (I'm glad I'm watching Legends of Awesomeness and eventually paws of destiny because I had seriously forgotten people's character...)
A lot of the signs that Po is showing of depression, Crane notices easily, since he's struggling a little with some mental problems as well
He isn't sure if he wants to confront him about it or not, because he's nervous Po might get mad at him for getting involved in his business, after some thought, he decides, it doesn't hurt to ask...
It's night time, and Crane goes to Po's room to ask what is up with him.
Po gives him a look, and he's like, ".......what are you talking about?" He's not unhappy that Crane asked, he's scared that somebody knows about it, like, uhm, what, he'd been hiding it quite well but it got through?
Crane freaks, dang it, should have known this would happen, he rapidly starts to apologize he's like "aaah I'm sorry I'll leave, I didn't mean to bother you, I won't tell anybody I promise I wont-"
Po sighs, shakes his head, he can trust Crane.. he lets him in his room, and takes a deep breath, and says to him, "Okay, I'll tell you, but promise you won't tell Shifu or the others...?" And Crane promises, he will keep it a secret.
So Po tells Crane how he's been feeling lately, and some of the stuff he says, hits Crane directly in the heart, because he knows exactly how he feels. This is not about him, however, this is about Po.
Crane tries his best to comfort Po, and give him advice, worried that he might have accidentally said something that would make Po feel even worse
Well, Po is just happy to have somebody listen to him, and he's glad that Crane is here to talk to him about it, and didn't ridicule him about it (which is why he was scared at first, he thought he would get made fun of)
He thanks Crane for his time, Crane lets him know, he's not alone in this, there's always someone to help.
If Po is feeling suicidal, he probably had cut himself a little, and it'll take more than some talk for Crane to help Po feel better, and some extra steps to let him know, he's not alone, and people care.
I don't ship Prane (tbh I'm not really that huge of a shipper anymore, ships are cool and all but I prefer individual character content) but for the people that do here's some stuff for you guys
Crane immediately notices something is wrong, and wants to talk to him, worried.
Po's thoughts mainly include, what if Crane doesn't actually love me, and he only dates me cuz he feels sorry for me, he's feeling rather insecure as well as depressed and suicidal.
He thinks that he's being a waste of Crane's time, he should go date somebody else that's actually worth it.
Crane emphasizes the fact, he loves him, and him only, pulls him into an embrace, maybe a kiss as well, he has nothing to worry about.
He loves him for the way he is, and there's nothing he needs to change about himself.

Any Philes (or Gillovnies) who enjoyed seeing David and Gillian together on Sunday please ignore the antis.
Do not allow them to shame you for enjoying David and Gillian getting along. These antis have spent years shaming and harassing people for daring to believe that Davis and Gillian get along and are friends. They claim it’s all about shipping real people, but as I can attest to myself (which I have proof of), I was like sent almost 30 hate anon stemming from a post explaining why I believe David and Gillian are friends.
I explained why they may have not got along during certain points in the original run, but ultimately they got along and have become closer since then. Various examples were used to back up my assertion. Antis got so upset they sent, again, almost 30 hate anons. Only like three of them were neutral or in agreement with me.
This is legit not an exaggeration.
Gillian’s post yesterday blew their whole belief system apart. They claimed that Gillian didn’t like David and that she only associated with him for either the x files or to promote a charity. They said we were making up shit to say they get along and that Gillian was grossed out by him.
Again, this was because people said they were FRIENDS.
Then, yesterday happened and now it’s, 1. “I don’t know why people are losing their shit, David was visiting a friend.” Or, 2. “You guys are being weird about David visiting Gillian.” And, also, 3. “fans needs to quit that shipper shit, they’re ruining a good pic.” 4. “I hate that Gillian is friends with him, she doesn’t know the truth about him.”
Although I’m Gillovny as fuck, I was just happy to see they got along. I was vindicated after what antis tried to put me through and all the shit they put others through. Gillian’s post utterly destroyed their bullshit and claims of rationality/objectivity.
As far as the antis remarks about this visit:
1. They HAVE to admit that David and Gillian are friends because there’s no other way to explain David’s visit. As far as we know, there aren’t any plans for live action x files, they have no active projects to promote, and David is against appearing with Gillian in non x files projects.
So, if they aren’t friends and they aren’t working together, that’s means they’re fucking or dating, right? In this situation, friendship is the lesser evil and they’d be delusional to pretend they aren’t friends at this point.
But it’s not enough to acknowledge that they’re friends, they have to downplay it like it’s no big deal as if the narrative that they hate each other hasn’t been peddled since the fucking 90s.
I mean, what fan wouldn’t rejoice at the fact that two actors with mad chemistry actually get along?
However, antis have to downplay it just to subtly stress and imply that this is a friendship and nothing more. Just because we were right about this doesn’t mean some Gillovnies are right that there may be something more (even if it’s just emotionally), which the confirmed friendship now makes them believe we may be on to something.
2. Most weren’t being weird about David visiting Gillian. However, it’s a pretty big deal because they famously only took professional/work related photos together. How many personal pics have we seen of them. And they spent years talking about how they don’t really hang out and barely text/email each other. Why can’t we squee on the people we care about hanging out?
3. Most fans didn’t bring up Gillovny and, even if they did, it’s a part of life for them at this point. I’d argue that many of the fans who do bring it up are casual fans and don’t mean to be malicious. Most fans don’t keep up with their dating lives. Last year, I just found out that a phile thought David and Gillian were married because Tea and Gillian kinda look alike. Most don’t know Gillian’s dating history, that she and Peter broke up, or about the girlfriend that David hasn’t claimed despite being involved with her for years. Antis find reasons to be upset, and then blame it on excited fans or Gillovnies because they’re upset that we were right about something they swear wasn’t true.
4. Unless you actually had personal dealing with David or a trusted person you know was, a random fan on the internet will never know David more than Gillian. Whatever allegations y’all want to level at him during his x files days, she likely knows about. There aren’t many secrets in Hollywood, so if you know something and believe it, Gillian likely knows as well. No people don’t always know everything about a person, but people in Hollywood love to gossip. There’s no way Gillian could be friends with David and she somehow doesn’t know about the allegedly bad things he did.
Antis also love to lean on remarks given by Dean Hanglund (???), William b Davis, and pat skipper to prove David and Gillian hated each other. All while overlooking Kim Manners (who spoke on record about their connection), Mitch Pileggi, and other people who have said the opposite.
You have the Mark Mann photoshoot where Mark described the event from beginning to end and it was a glowing assessment of their dynamic, which antis claim was “PR.” You also have Jimmy Kimmel who initially observed how well they got along off camera, noticed it again on camera, remarked on it, and then flat out asked them, “what’s going on with you two?”
You have various celebrities, people who know or have come in contact with them, liking and commenting on shit regarding their relationship. I don’t mean this romantically just in general.
There is way more evidence supporting the fact that they got along and are friends (now) than this idea that they hate each other. I’m not saying they’ve never butted heads and fought, however, I think their relationship shouldn’t be defined by the moments they didn’t get along. These two worked long hour days together and became famous at the same time all while isolated in Vancouver together. Cut them some slack.
Keep in mind, their “dark days” came around the time where, in addition to long shooting days, they also shot a movie at the same time! Yeah, they didn’t get along at times before then, but they were some workhorses for Chris!
I do find Orlando Jones’ place in this hilarious and intriguing. We know for a fact that he worked with David and may even be friends with him. Also. he may have worked with Gillian or come into contact with her. They had roles on the same show, but didn’t share scenes together. The fact that he openly ships them is intriguing because of his proximity to them and he’s a professional actor. Orlando likes to have fun and can be trollish at times, but not maliciously.
The fact that he openly ships Gillovny and hasn’t been told to stop is fascinating. I don’t think he’s been told to stop because Orlando has good relationships in Hollywood and doesn’t seem the type of overstep boundaries. So either he’s having good fun with it and doesn’t believe it OR he wants something to happen and likes being involved in the fan shipping. And that tells me either David (and Gillian) don’t have a problem when he does it and/or he sees/hears things we haven’t and wishes they’d get together. 🤔
Ultimately, don’t listen to antis because they’re upset as fuck right now and most of us are just enjoying the content and having a good time. :) don’t let them think we’re doing anything wrong for loving the pics that were released for us to enjoy.

As far as I was concerned, it was obvious that they werent going to give us destiel. It would have been a terrible furore for the movie industry. They just decided to make a mini compromise: write "I love you" to Cas (and make it unclear whether he loves Dean as a brother, friend, lover...) and leave Dean in tears. One more thing: lets face it, Jensen never particularly liked the mention of destiel. He wasnt comfortable with it. And Misha is more open to that sort of thing, so they probably agreed that Misha (Cas) would be the one to say those words.
About the brothers... cw decided to sit on two chairs: give a hint of wincest and just give some kind of ending to the Winchester brothers story (for other viewers who dont know about wincest, destiel, etc).
I don't know enough about the American movie industry to tell whether a queer romance at the end of a genre TV show would have caused an uproar and if that uproar would have been negative. I simply cannot tell and I feel anything about the behind the scenes must remain speculation.
Maybe it would have caused an uproar with their general viewing audience (of which I know very little since I'm staying in my fandom niche) but the general viewing audience would probably have been able to shrug it off eventually, probably better than fandom could.
As to Jensen. I maintain that Jensen is a professional actor. If he can stand having to play Dean making heart eyes at a poodle or be an off the rails murderer (as a Leviathan, as a demon, at the end of S10) then he would have survived playing a Dean who reciprocates Cas' love. (But then again I feel Americans seem to have an easier time with violence than with emotional same sex intimacy...)
And I mean good if the Wincest shippers got something out of it, I'm not petty enough to be disgruntled about that, but I still felt the whole barn scene was a disgrace. I couldn't get anything emotionally gratifying out of it and I LOVE brother scenes. I don't know. I just hated 15x20 with a passion and I feel it let down more than just the Destiel fans. It hurt so many people, of all kinds of corners of the fandom, and nobody of the people involved acknowledged it. It just makes me feel like I’m in the wrong movie. I trusted these creative people. I felt they understood fandom, they understood what we wanted by acknowledging it in Atomic Monsters. And yet they gave us exactly what they confirmed that we would not want. Isn’t that just an asshole move? And nobody said anything like “yeah, we wrote you the bad ending because we’re edgy writers~”. It just leaves me looking around at the carnage and going “what the fuck? Did you want to hurt me like this? Was this the plan all along? Did you want to punish us for wanting something else than you, author god, wanted?”

So I see your a LeviHan shipper!! I enjoy the ship a lot too!! But are there any specific reason that their your favorite?? Maybe you could explain that a little through a list? But anyways I hope your week has been good so far, Sav. Have a good day/night!!!! - Signed by Your Secret Santa 🎄
Hello! Thank you for asking about my week (and my ship).
I enjoy the ship a lot too!! But are there any specific reason that their your favorite?
To answer that first question...
You’re in for a long rollercoaster ride of a rant because I don’t think I’m the type of person to ship anything to the point of writing domestic fluff fics unless the I felt really really drawn to the ship.
Anyway, (slight) spoilers abound! Will keep manga spoilers subtle, mostly Levihan scenes.
Disclaimer: I do not want to start shipping wars. I specifically avoided the words like should or best because I recognize that shipping is generally based on preferences. I respect everyone’s preferences on what they want out of a ship or even a relationship and through this, I just hope to express my own preferences and maybe even gush with people who agree.
1. The ship did not move the plot. The plot moved the ship.
Attack on Titan is not a romance or a shojo, if it’s not fairly obvious from any chapter you would randomly read. As a reader, I would have expected it to fall short with pairings. Most shows which are not romance based tend to have a few pairings which just suddenly end up together towards the end of the manga because “What’s a happy ending without marriage and kids?” There is usually a trend of just pairing of the extras and sometimes, or maybe even more often than not, it just seems to come out of nowhere (ehem... Naruto.). Maybe the relationship worked off screen but I dunno. Like no shipping war here but the only pairing I had full support for was Shikatema.
In stories classified as romances, there is enough of a spotlight on the sexual tension and mutual pining of specific characters for the romance to be considered reasonable. In my opinion, some authors tend to sacrifice really good world building for a good romance. Objectively twilight for example had some crazy good world building but it just kinda focused a little too much on emo Bella and emo Edward for the world building to actually be appreciated by the casual reader. Tbh though, this is not necessarily bad because people get into stuff for reasons, sometimes, I just wanna read a good fantasy, sometimes I just wanna read a good romance.
Romances though as a main driving point for narratives, require some convenient serendipity moments and sexual tension which can be written well but as a reader, I prefer to see more natural relationships born out of necessity (Wall of Winnipeg and Me by Mariana Zapata is a good example of what I’m talking about in a romance novel.)
Attack on Titan through its narrative actually made Levihan seem VERY VERY possible. If I had to compare the presentation of this ship in canon to at least one relationship in other anime, I would compare it to Royai from FMA.
Like, if Attack on Titan didn’t give us random subtle hints about romantic or just platonic relationships between the two or even about anyone, even if Levi and Hange did get together in the end, it would have been one of the pairings, I probably wouldn’t have raised an eyebrow at.
But they could be just friends? Which brings me to my next point.
2. Their current situation makes it so it’s only natural that at the least, they considered it.
Yes. Friends is a valid interpretation for anything. I mean, given our hook up culture, people can fuck as friends too. People probably have made out drunk as friends too. Like I have seen my fair share of this type of bullshit in high school and college and I would say, we do not need a kiss or a fucking session to recognize that something can be a good relationship or to recognize that they have probably thought about it.
A relationship requires a commitment (conscious or unconscious) to caring for the other, keeping the other safe, recognizing their flaws and thinking about them regularly (Call me scott peck or marriage counselor but like I honestly think the world would be a better place once people recognize that quality romantic relationships are worked for).
Mind you, Levi and Hange lost everything. They literally lost everything from their old life, all their friends, all their loved ones and all they have is each other and they’re forced to take care of a bunch of kids.
There are people who have said before, no one gets very close with someone without ever considering a romantic relationship with them. Or even if they never considered it romantic, they could consider at least “living with them their whole life,” or “supporting them through thick and thin.” The things is, towards the end, they were constantly together and what drove them to that situation is that both of them are aware of what the other had lost. They understood each other more than anyone else and they recognized that they were the only ones left in their own circle and I personally think that is more than enough for a relationship to naturally bloom between them.
3. The relationship and the signs are subtle and it works.
I personally probably would not have enjoyed it if canon showed a romantic relationship of the two after Erwin died. It’s a valid interpretation to consider that it could have happened, based on my explanation for number 2 but Hange is commander, Levi is captain. They have a professional relationship and they have goals and obligations which take precedence over personal desires. They are in the middle of a war and the most which probably could have happened was a secret mutual pining between the two and I think Isayama has injected the most subtle hints which are the most that could have been appropriately put into canon without seeming too OOC. Hange and Levi are not selfish people. They have promises, dreams and obligations which they respect and have committed themselves to already. It has also been shown at earlier points of the manga that they do put their survey corps duties on top of everything so acting on a romantic attraction at that point in time would have definitely been inappropriate.
I personally think, the scenes of Hange going out of her way to save Levi as commander, killing her other soldiers to save both their asses, suggesting in the forest that they live together instead of go back to the war and not leaving an injured Levi until she had no choice were more powerful than a lot of romantic scenes where people actually fuck and kiss. Kissing and fucking are easy. Leaving the duties and responsibilities they have worked for for five years to keep the person they love alive hits way harder.
Call it platonic. Call it romantic. But no one like Hange would have deserted her post as commander for a few chapters to take care of a sick comrade and kill her subordinates to save their asses if there wasn’t anything between them.
4. It gives a great example what healthy relationships can come from.
I grew up reading sweet valley and chick lits cause I was a basic bitch and I kinda grew up with a somehow unrealistic idea of where relationships come from. Call me a late bloomer but I only actually figured out where the romance and the happiness of a relationship was when I got into one with my best friend for five years.
It’s the sexual tension and the “will they wont they?” push and pull which can lead to satisfying sex or a happy ending in romance novels. I think in a way, media kinda overglorifies it which kinda gives a lot of young people the wrong idea about why they getting into a relationship is fun in the first place.  Because after the satisfying sex and the kids, what’s next for the relationship?
Years of utility bills, diapers, chores, schedules, parent teacher conferences and compromises until someone gives up or dies. And what kind of relationships can actually thrive through all these?
Those that have mastered the underrated parts of relationships. These include conflict resolutions, compromises and open communication. I think we have seen enough of those two, even before season 3 that have shown that they know each other very well and they have shown to at least have a relatively equal power dynamic which is a foundation for open communication and mutual trust in relationships even beyond the fucking and marriage stage
5. They have a great foundation of character development for both parties.
As I mentioned above, they have a relatively equal power dynamic. I love Royai from FMA and I have compared Royai to this multiple times. I would say though I prefer Levihan over Royai because I felt that Royai had more unequal power dynamics? (Though I still think Royai is a top tier ship ). Also, they have shown to tell off the other when they don’t like what the other is doing. They are complete opposites but here is the magical thing. They talk everything out. They’re generally open people to each other and they know each other way too well as hinted in scenes before and opposites work as long as the others are willing to compromise. I think (especially in season 3 and season 4) that they have done enough for each other and have compromised enough for each other in the survey corps that these skills could easily be brought with them even after the war.
That open communication is just what makes them maintaining a relationship while being complete opposites very OC and realistic. Eventually, they did probably did make compromises, which most likely softened or moderated the crazy parts of their personalities which is just a really fun part of their relationship to explore.
6. It could realistically last so maybe ...
7. A good foundation for happy children?
Maybe it’s how it is written because of the actual story and why would Yams write a romantic drama in a story about genocide and war. Tbh, I would attribute it more to Levi and Hange’s personalities though because Mikasa and Eren have their fair share of drama, mostly one sided though coz Mikasa. This relationship has no drama, no misunderstandings which just further supports my point that they have a relationship that thrives on open communication and mutual trust. Drama is fun like when we’re the ones on the sidelines eating the popcorn but I have third wheeled enough people in my life to realize that I will not support a relationship where both parties are just not ready to be mature about it, in real life and in fiction.
My favorite couples, in real life and in fiction, are definitely those who keep conflict among themselves and maybe among trusted people. I think one sign of a healthy relationship is one where problems don’t become public through social media or through like 20 people. One important yet underrated part of relationships is the atmosphere of comfort and freedom which encourages both parties to be able to directly approach one another before tensions and uncertainties get out of hand.
And a life free of dramas at least in the early stages of life just kinda shows at least that both parties are ready to bring a new life to the world? Because like immature parents with shitty conflict resolution skills really fuck kids up man and I passionately believe the world would really be a better place if babies were born out of trust, mutual understanding and open communication instead of sex but yeah, make sex fun to keep our race alive.
So anyway, I guess, I just finished explaining why I love this ship so much while also disclosing my preferences for relationships.
As mentioned above...
Other pairings which I support for those curious: Shikatema, Royai, Victuuri, Percabeth etc.
Also... To answer your second question...
My week has been great, some pretty solid life developments but US elections wise, not so great... (WHY IS THE ELECTION RACE SO CLOSE?)

I Promised You The Moon Episode 4
I loved it for what it was. Duh.
This was a very heavy episode, and I knew that I wouldn’t fully love it for that reason. I was the same with episode 4 of ITSAY as well. All the tears and yelling was a lot and it drains what little emotion I have in reserve.
I will say I still enjoyed the episode a lot. I know some of the girls and gays did not. They’re mad at the writers for spwitting up their pwecious wittle ship.
The criticism that I’ve seen thrown around is, why throw in a third person? But my question is why not? Teh is a fucking actor, you don’t think he’s going to deal with any outside interest?
Jai is the first of many temptations that Teh is going to have to deal with. He was the first test for Teh’s faithfulness and Teh failed.
Now people always bring up, “well if he left Tarn for Oh Aew, then he is someone who’s head can be easily turned”. I can’t say I fully disagree. Sometimes you lose them the way you get them.
However, I feel like we’re underestimating the importance of Oh Aew to Teh? I think Teh underestimated it a little as well. He got comfortable, and basically took the piss and when Oh rightly left him, he started to realise what he had.
Oh Aew did the right thing in the end by leaving Teh. The trust was gone, it was over. I feel like he was beyond gracious and kind to give Teh a second chance, once he found out that there wasn’t even a scripted kiss.
The kiss he witnessed between Jai and Teh was way over the line in regards to chemistry building. But he loves Teh and even though he could smell the bullshit from him, he still tried to push through it. As far as I’m concerned, he can move on without regrets cause he did all that he could.
As mad as I want to be at Teh, I can’t help but feel a bit bad for him. He lied to Oh Aew and that’s where he fucked up. But at the same time, someone was manipulating him and playing with his emotions. He has to suffer two heartbreaks in regards to Jai and Oh Aew.
I think if his infatuation with Jai was weak and just based on sexual attraction, I’d be cussing him out, but it was more to him? He respects Jai, and they had aligning goals? I think in a time of doubt and confusion Jai was  supportive for him. He’d lost his confidence not only in his relationship with Oh Aew but also his acting and although he should have consulted all that with Oh Aew, Jai was there and mixed with an attraction that was fatal.
Now, Teh shouldn’t have been so bloody obvious in front of Oh Aew about his feelings. Confessing to Jai while Oh Aew was upstairs schmoozing with his cast mates? Nah Teh was foul for that and I’m glad that Oh Aew smacked him in with those flowers, it was quite cathartic.
Teh is a cat with many lives. He is going through all this fucked stuff personally, but he has landed on his feet as far as his career and I’m genuinely happy for him. He’s worked hard to get here, and with his work ethic he’ll get far. I think now he has learned his lesson about keeping it professional and maybe the pitfalls of working closely with directors and their stylings.
Speaking of directors. Some of you are going to be mad at me, but... Jai is hot and he didn’t do anything wrong.
Anyway, happy pride. Bye!
Okay, I’m kidding! Jai fucked up. I think we need to remember Jai is not much older than Teh or Oh Aew. He’s still finding his footing as far as being a professional... he’s not there yet. He’s being lead by a woman whom I don’t think is all the way professional herself. So he’s learning not the best tactics.
Jai fucked with Teh and his emotions, all for his goal. He compartmentalised everything and in the end he was wrong and I think he knows that and I hope in the future he doesn’t use that technique again. Its cost him a friend in Teh and I think that he’s genuinely sad about that.
I’m curious to see what we get for the last episode. I’m glad this episode happened the way it did. I feel like a lot of you shippers need to chill out? This show was never about the Teh x Oh Aew ship? It was about them as two separate people, their lives, their dreams and then some romance mixed in. The same can be said here. This is a hurdle, part of their life and I wanna see more.
