This is literally the best possible outcome, in his mind. The only person who'd be worthy of you at NRC is Vil, but you can't date him, that's incest! (A poor lovesick Vil has tried to remind him time and again that you are not related, and Divus is neither of your dad. He got sent to his room for that) So Neige LeBlanch, a model, an actor, an RSA student, a man of culture….you could not have chosen better, puppy!

That said…he'll be keeping a close eye on Neige. If there's anything that needs retrained, Crewel will not hesitate to put that pup in his place! But he doubts that will be an issue…😒

Vargas training camp is back in session! He has to make sure that Neige is worthy! It'll only be you, him, and Neige, out in the middle of the forest. Either Niege will prove himself to be strong enough to protect you from overblots and evil mages, or you will see what a wimpy loser he is! Ah, he's really too clever, isn't he? 😁

No matter how many times you tell him you can take care of yourself, and that Neige is actually top of his class at RSA, and is well versed in combat skills from his time as an actor, Vargas is never gonna hear it. All he hears is "blah blah bleh blah". Truly, you picked the highest maintenance man to be your dad.

He's eagerly ceasing negotiations with the mysterious guardian of Malleus Draconia, and going on and on about how wonderful this is, and how he raised a perfect little chick! Meanwhile you and Neige are awkwardly sitting in the chairs on the other side of his desk wondering if you should still be listening to this…

He's another one you'll have to remind that he didn't raise you. You just kind of got swept up under his wing! Almost literally! Neige doesn't have to buy him gifts. Niege doesn't have to ask his permission to remove you from the nest, which, by the way, you were forced to live in! You don't have to tell him what you and Neige are going to do today!

Then again…every time you remind him of those things he starts sobbing. And Neige is too sweet, and completely falls for the crocodile tears…so really it's up to you how you handle this.

He is totally fine with you dating. 😊

As far as you will ever know, that is.

He is a man with means, who can afford a quick background check on Neige LeBlanch. It's not a personal thing, it's just he has spent so much time teaching the men at NRC, that he forgets there are non problematic men in existence.

I don't rly have a name for their clan yet, but I'm open to suggestions! Some of the names and designs may change a bit with time because i have a tiny little brain

gonna leave some fun trivia i thought up while drawing them under a cut so this post doesn't get too long lmao

- Duskflight and Tigerleap are littermates! they do Not get along most of the time, despite their parents' best efforts

- Beetleheart and Peachblossom are half-siblings, their father was a selfish tom that caused both their mothers a lot of pain and embarrassment. Part of Beetleheart's motivation to become a great and honorable warrior comes from him wanting to uplift his mother's name. Peachblossom claims to not give a shit about the whole thing

- When they were younger, Littlethorn tried to convince Beetleheart that they were also brothers and that's why their names sounded so similar (Littlepaw and Beetlepaw, then)

- Snakestripe was named after his older sister Rainstripe, who was very frail and sickly, and passed away to a greencough outbreak shortly before he got his warrior name. Since then, Snakestripe has developed a fascination with spirits and how to contact them (they were close but not Like That I promise)

- Somehow, no one seems to recall what Sunnybounce's name was before she joined the clan. She's also not telling

- Berrystrike loves to hang out in the elder's den, because its the chillest and quietest place in camp. Except when Duskflight comes to visit his grandparents, then it becomes the loudest place in camp and he has to leave

- Brightstone stumbled upon the clans completely by accident, he wasn't even supposed to be able to get out of his humans' house, but a window left open by accident marked his fate. Both his hind legs are prosthetics, which Peachblossom became fascinated by from the moment they met

- Robinclaw joined the clan after developing a very slow friendship with Duskflight. She saved him from a fox snare in a moment of weakness and he never stopped pestering her since

- Despite her constant sleepiness and lazyness, Redhaze is truly gifted at medicine work, she'd just much rather leave it to Sunnybounce if possible

- Mossbreeze tends to... disappear, every so often. He always comes back but sometimes he just starts walking in one direction and goes MIA for a couple days, no one's been able to talk him out of this

Uhh may I make a request for Ouran High School Host club? Just a headcanon for how the host would react to meeting someone how is a big time animal lover. (Like they pretty much live there life like the Irwin family)

A/N: I was thinking about how I’d write this and my brain just went ‘they lost their shit at the sight of instant coffee’, so uhh I hope this is to your liking. I tried to get as much animal variety as I could even though I didn’t really touch on marine animals that much)

Warnings: Like 2 swear words (pinky promise), slight drug mention(literally so small you might not even notice it), spoilers (minor) for Tamaki’s mom

General

So this is under the assumption that like the Irwin family, Reader (or their family) has access to a wide variety of animals (from domestic to wild)

All of them respect the passion you have for animals

While they all might have various feelings on animals (see below), they can’t deny that you truly do love animals

Your family’s sanctuary focuses on healing injured animals and rehabilitating them so they can go back into the wild

Of course, your family has many sanctuaries around the world and some focus more on conservation while others focus on research

The one closest to the school focuses mainly on conservation and as such, is massive and functions like a zoo ( in terms of having people come in and see the animals)

Anyways, the host club is very supportive and often helps you with organizing donation events

Oftentimes, your family will collaborate with them and allow them to rent out parts of the conservation center for events

Aside from the conservation center though, your family owns a few ranches and farms (not for commercial profit, although yall have sold a few animals)

The farms and ranches are relatively small scale but they make great venues for the host club and a great place for getaways/vacations

Your main house is where you keep most of your favorite animals

You have an aviary attached to your room (connected through a hallway that connects to your room) as well as a butterfly garden in the backyard

You also have an aquarium tank, 2 dogs, 1 cat, 1 snake, and a hamster that visits on weekends

You had to be stopped at some point

Tamaki

Tamaki loves animals

He was never really around animals growing up because of how sensitive his mom’s immune system is

So when he sees that you’re an animal person, he’s super excited

Like this man is already planning playdates between Antoinette and your pets/animals

You love his enthusiasm, just one small problem

It’s a little too much enthusiasm

Yes the animals are well trained, but how would you react if a 6′0 giant with long arms came barreling towards you screaming showing its teeth?

So yeah, Tamaki tends to set the animals off/ make them nervous

Because of that he’s only allowed around certain animals (ex. certain monkeys, certain birds, etc.)

He’s happy that he’s allowed around some animals but he still pouts every time there’s an animal he can’t be around

Kyoya

This man

Kyoya does not fuck with animals. Like at all

The first time the host club went to your house, you were holding a hamster and Kyoya moved back about 10 feet

When you asked him what was wrong, he just said “Rats are carriers of many of the most deadly diseases”

You told him that you were holding a hamster and that while hamsters were rodents, the worst he’d get sick with would be salmonella

He doesn’t believe you, but yeah sure whatever

For Kyoya it just gets worse after that

The first time he sees you holding a tarantula, he loses his shit

“Look how cute it is Kyoya!”

“Get that vermin away from me!”

I could go on and on about how much Kyoya doesn’t like animals (even domestic ones like cats and dogs)

He hates going to your house, but he often has to go there in order to set up events for the host club, what a nightmare

While he doesn’t care for animals, the business side of his brain can’t help but think of a marketing opportunity

Mori

Is one of two hosts that are going to be chill about it

He doesn’t feel one way or the other about animals and thinks it’s cool that you’re interested in them

Only thing is; if Honey’s afraid of your animals, he will have to ask you to leave he won’t hesitate to step in “harm’s” way

Surprisingly though, that actually makes him the chillest with your animals

Much to your surprise (and Tamaki’s sorrow), the animals love him

He just has this calming vibe that sets the animals at ease

It also helps that he smells nice and is super tall

For most of them it’s like sitting on a giant tree

He’s not really complaining though, it makes his job of protecting Honey that much easier

Honey

Oh boy

He might actually be the worst with animals

It’s not even an issue of being unable to defend against aggressive animals (Honey could probably solo a grizzly bear)

It’s just he has a very strict “cute” animal policy that changes wildly depending on his mood, the temperature, the angle of the wind, the humidity, etc.

He’s very bougie when it comes to what animals he will tolerate and what animals he will refuse to see

The general safe choices are rabbits (especially bunnies), kittens, cows, tits (the bird species), and baby animals of almost every domestic mammal species)

Him and the hamster you see on weekends are best friends

Also, you have had issues with him trying to feed the animals sweets

Explaining to Honey why rabbits can’t have carrot cake was not an easy conversation, nor was it one you thought you’d need to have

Because of how specific he is about what animals he finds cute, you likened him to a crocodile (because of how sensitive they are to temp. changes in egg)

Needless to say...he was not pleased

Hikaru

So him and Kaoru don’t really care for animals but they try to relate to you in somewhat similar but different ways

Hikaru is always trying to get you to do/recreate stunts with the animals

“Hey Y/N, we should-”

“No Hikaru”

“You don’t even know what I was gonna say”

“No you cannot use the dolphins for hoop tricks, no you cannot teach the gorillas how to roll blunts, no you cannot “bribe” the koalas with eucalyptus...”

Yeah he’s a menace

It’s mostly all in good fun though

Hikaru doesn’t really care for animals but he does find it hilarious that the animals like him more than Tamaki

Also, completely random but Hikaru definitely send you those “horse-sized duck vs duck sized horses” memes

Kaoru

Kaoru also tries to use animals on the internet to relate to you, but he’s a lot tamer than Kaoru

Kaoru is kind of like the parent who learns one thing you like and is like “that’s your entire personality right?”

Poor bby is trying his best

Anyways, whereas Hikaru tries to recreate memes, Kaoru sends you them

They range in quality and format; from top text, bottom text to “is this a ____”

At least once a day, Kaoru will send you a meme or picture of an animal with a caption that says ‘this reminded me of u :)’

It’s so endearing that you can’t even be mad about it

Haruhi

Is the only other one who’s kind of cool about the whole thing

She’s really only been around animals in the park or the occasional pet store

Growing up, she didn’t really have the time (or money) to go to the zoo, that and the fact that Ranka doesn’t care at all for animals (she thinks they’re weird and gross)

When Tamaki hears this, he works himself up into a frenzy, torn that his “daughter” has never been to a zoo (even tho he hasn’t either)

But she likes the fact that you’re so passionate about animals

At heart, she’s a scholar, so she loves learning new things she didn’t know before, she could spend all day just listening to you talk about animals

Not to mention the fact that you’re basically giving her a free informational tour  every time you see an animal

who texts/rings to check how their day is going to check how their day is going? rip. for whatever random reason because he’s feeling bored? john. and sometimes the boredom isn’t JUST staved off by the messaging, but because he’s thought of some new stupid nickname to give rip in his contact list, which he always has a nice chuckle over. anyway rip’s texts are always fairly standard and john will text him like “look at what we found in arkansas mate” and it’ll be a picture of a mountain of rat skulls and rip’s just. thank you. for sharing this with me

who’s the most creative when it comes to gifts JOHN... LMFAO... i like to think that rip gets john a birthday gift, right, and it’s something fairly useful, like the helm of hades or something, and john’s like “oh yeah, thanks for the cosplay item, love” and rip’s like “it makes you invisible, john.......” and so john’s like. well shit! and though rip has no actual birthday (he doesn’t know when his nameday is, john!!! it didn’t matter in the future!!!), john suggests they make it the sixth of september (6/9) and rip is like. he sighs about it. but you know what. okay. and on rip’s birthday he gets a plastic bag full of junk (e.g. a stick of gum, an opened pack of cigarettes, an unopened toothbrush), and it doesn’t matter to him, so rip’s fine... except when he gets up to leave and go back on his adventures, he finds a new book in his bag about the history of cereal or something, and he ends up unable to leave because he wants to nail john in his living room

who gets up first in the morning it’s impossible to wake up earlier than a man who only needs like 4 hours of sleep every two weeks, so it’s definitely rip. but i think on the nights that rip does sleep, sometimes john will wake up earlier just to be like “well someone’s certainly slept in” and rip will find himself unable to resist laughing about it-- he’s softer when he’s just woken up, a bit more open with his emotions, and john knows it

who suggests new things in bed john. absolutely. it’s got to be john. though i think if he’d suggest something on the bdsm side of things where there’s proper technique and protocol and stuff involved, rip’s highly likely to get into it enough that he’ll research things himself and be able to make his own suggestions. but stupid shit like “oi, you ever shagged a man in your office before? all those glass windows--” will definitely come from john and rip’s definitely going to be like “i hate you, but also bend over”

who cries at movies i can’t imagine them particularly inclined to watch a lot of movies? and when they do it’s shit like the blob or jurassic park or whatever, not movies that are supposed to be emotional tearjerkers. probably john is more likely to laugh so hard he cries if they ever watch something like that, but i think they’re more or less set in this area

who gives unprompted massages see, rip has discovered that massaging john when he’s feeling tense makes him a bit noisy. and he quite likes when john is noisy. and that means... you know, he’ll do it after a hard case or something, just to make john’s toes curl

who fusses over the other when they’re sick rip’s more visible about his concern, and john likes to go “YEAH, MUM, ALL RIGHT” about it, but, like, you know. i think they’re both really weird about it, in that rip doesn’t really take care of people like this and john’s not used to having someone around when he has a nasty case of the flu?? and john will give him shit for it, of course, because rip fussing is hilarious in its own way, but... he’ll listen. mostly. but he’s still going to smoke. and they’re going to have to have this game where rip hides his cigarettes places and john has to find them and it’s terrible

who gets most excited about the holidays i don’t think they’ll celebrate holidays much, but john probably’s got something about halloween, even if it’s simple? rip probably likes the december holiday season, meanwhile, but only because it’s one of those traditions that’s celebrated even in his future... even if he never celebrated it before. i think he’ll have fun decorating a tree

who is the big spoon/little spoon rip’s the big spoon. no contest. john won’t ever admit to wanting a bit of affection in such a simple way and rip won’t ever admit to really enjoying giving it to him, but it’s like. they’ll be in bed, and john’s going to roll onto his side, mumble a quiet ‘good night’, and rip’s going to say it back, and then the quiet’s going to continue. john has the blankets all to himself and rip is staring at the ceiling, and when some time’s passed he’s going to turn onto his own side and wrap an arm around john’s middle. and john pretends he’s fallen asleep, but he hasn’t yet-- he relaxes just a bit, and rip knows this, and nobody’s going to say anything as rip’s mouth brushes quietly over john’s shoulder

who gets most competitive when playing games and/or sports there’s no competition when john’s lungs give out so easily i think they’re pretty equally competitive in cards or dice games or something though

who starts the most arguments i think john’s most likely to start arguments with like... a stranger at a pub or something, but not necessarily an argument between them? they have a kind of weird way of being able to relate to each other, which i think makes it easy for them to be agreeable with things and opinions. or at least makes it easy for them to talk instead of going all aggressive and angry with each other

who suggests that they buy a pet GOD... i don’t think either of them are pet types? at most they’re going to be talking to the owner of a pet store or something for a case, and whilst waiting for them to be available to speak with, john’s going to point at a big-eyed cat like “looks a bit like you, mate” and then rip’s going to buy it out of spite like “in case you ever miss me whilst i’m gone” and then they have a cat. i can’t even think of a name they’d give it. rip’s going to be simple and say “steve” and john’s going to be a shit like “the bringer of judgement” and so her name is steve the bringer of judgement, “brij” for short

how they spend time together as a couple rip has a weird penchant for just going on drives or walks, like he can’t get enough looking around the place, which john doesn’t necessarily get but is cool to indulge in. even cooler is when rip decides to portal them to different places, and he’ll get to show john different historical places and tell him true eyewitness accounts of them. i think the day he finds out john actually has some interest in history is the day that his eyes get weirdly bright and he is just... filled with this excitement to show him everything that he knows, and share with him everything that he knows?? drinking and talking is a good staple for them though. they do like to drink, and they do like to talk, and it’s not a half-bad thing to get handsy in the middle of it. besides that i figure they’re easy enough to just stay in the same space doing whatever. rip’s not even bothered by john’s bizarre spell-learning rituals any more!

who is the best cook rip is better. just, in general, objectively better. john even prefers rip’s eggs and eggs are supposed to be his speciality. rip likes to cook for him, though, and even goes to the effort of filling tupperwares with food for john to have in his fridge whenever rip’s not around, just so john doesn’t have any excuses not to eat anything any more even when he nukes it and it turns out the middle of the food is cold, john’s the type to keep eating it anyway. and even when it’s cold, it’s like... damn, rip hunter really can cook, huh

My heart ached when I heard about your baby cat being sick. I hope he gets better - it’s always hard when you feel like you can’t do much to help. Just being there for them is something! 

My writing is going super slowly and I’m trying to find a plot or something to cling to for Attie’s 2K Kissing Challenge (yes, I’m still here) − it’s all chunks of something and not much cohesion, argh. Plus one more for Steve and I’m done for the year, hooray!

@dianaofthemyscirae: my best friend whomst I love so very much!!! honestly hilarious, I love her sense of humor and all our wild inside jokes. she’s also so smart and pragmatic and grounded and a hard worker, which I really admire. also, she’s so patient with me and always makes me feel calm and safe, which is really valuable because I’m super melodramatic and my emotions are always all over the place lmao. being able to talk to her every day is one of the best parts of my life tbh.

@ukulelekatie: BIG AWESOME NERD. clever and talented and sassy and also really funny. her art is so good and I’m so proud of how much it’s improved since I’ve known her! also has a lovely singing voice and I’m always impressed when people can play instruments. hanging out with her is always fun and I love that we can talk about anything.

@moonsandstar-s: my daughter!! one of the smartest and strongest people I’ve ever met. she’s a great listener and always has something insightful to say. she’s snarky and kind and wonderful and I love her to bits. her writing is incredible and I’m always happy to read it. such a cool and complex person and I’m really lucky to have her in my life.

@nopantsparade: forreal one of the chillest people ever, I love how mellow he is and we always have good talks. honestly feels like a brother to me, he’s a great artist and a really warm, funny, smart guy.

stranglethorn vale: how resilient is your muse? what would break them?Zun is always a little at odds with themself in terms with how well they cope in general. What they see as the daily routine of hopping down from their treehouse, grabbing some breakfast and going for a little swim would perhaps seem far more intense to an outsider considering the acrobatics they perform leaping through the tree like a cat, checking and replacing traps and fishing lures, tending to their wild garden, hiking through the rainforest to the beach to go surfing in sometimes concerningly high waves for hours.Then on the flip side they’re a shy little bean who stammers their words and is scared of crowds but still runs a surf shack, gives surfing lessons etc etc so???? depends on the day and the point of viewswamp of sorrows: what was the darkest point of your muse’s life?They live a relatively calm pleasant life but they did start it off orphaned and sickly so, the early years for surewetlands: how easily does your muse trust? is there anyone your muse could confide in?I’d say they probably make it easier to be in a trusting environment simply because of how open and straight forward/truthful they are at all times, they don’t really hide things away ever and that tends to rub off on peoples somewhat. It’s less about do they trust people and “how likely are they to lie” i guess.Zun confides everything in Zirazi, she’s been there since childhood and they’ve been in each others lives ever since, i think ti would be difficult if not impossible for them to hide anything from one another tbh, they’re very upfront with whats going on Vuya is another example, those 2 bonded fast and relate over a lot of personal struggles, there’s very much an innate understanding over certain aspects of their lives that allows them to relate to a whole complicated mess of emotions at a single word. For example if one of them were to be crying, the other would ask why and it would just take a simple “dysphoria” and there’s a whole lifetime of experience that allows the other to comfort them whereas someones else would take a whole essay of explanation just to get out why they feel bad and even then they wouldn’t truly unerstand it.Other mentions go to Yu’dala, who is the chillest, calming figure around and pushes any anxieties aside.Kiefeon & V’yala for just being pleasantly blase and not letting things weigh them down or spiral out of hand. Hey. What I'm about to say might only be true for me because it's my opinion and I'm all messed up inside too. The truth is that all of us are lost in some way or another. And each of us are so intrinsically complicated that it's hopeless to find somebody who understands every single experience you've had in life the same way you do. We've got 20 years of history in our lives yknow. So I realize that there's nothing I could ever hope to say that would magically brighten up your day or make you feel better inside and see a glimpse of that happiness we all want. But I will say that you don't need those skincare products. You're one of the most, perhaps if not then, THE MOST beautiful woman I have ever had the grace of meeting in my entire life.

Don't let those negative thoughts get to you! If there's anybody that I know could get through this, it's definitely you. You got this!

But at the same time... Don't feel too pressured about making changes. A sudden burst of hope and expectations will lead to dissapointment when results take too long to show. Change will come naturally with time and patience. You can (and probably will) fail. And that's okay. It happens to everybody, and it's actually a normal part of getting better. Everybody has limits and eventually you'll find yours and you'll make a mistake again, but afterwards, you'll find that your limits have grown a little. And with every attempt you grow just a little stronger and you find yourself at heights you never knew you could reach.

Along with that... You'll surprise yourself by discovering the things you can live without, and the things that might have been holding you back. Personally, I don't believe in cutting people off. I always try to believe that eventually all things can be forgiven and there will always be a chance to try again, and throughout my entire life that has been true... With an exception to two people. People who I had in my life for years, who I spoke to every day, who I considered friends. However, spending time with them constantly led to bad moments. They would harass me, stress me, hurt me, and more, but in the end we would always make up and continue on to be friends the next day. One day a series of chaotic events led to me finally making the decision to completely cut them off. I felt absolutely fucking horrible. These people made my life a living hell but I missed them and cried anyways. I never really realized it, but my life improved drastically without them in the picture. Nothing specifically happened, but looking back on the experiences I had and the moments I lived, not having their existence shadow over me has made everything a million times better. It's surprising at to how getting rid of one constant toxic factor can significantly improve your happiness, however small it may be. I'm not trying to say it's good to lose friends, especially those who are close to us... But maybe you'll look back one day and realize how much more breathing room you had once they left.

As somebody who I think understands how it is to choose to be alone... I'll tell you now that there will be moments when you feel indescribably empowered and inspired, absolutely sure that you could take on the world and all of its challenges solely through your own will. You'll discover things about yourself you never took the time to recognize. A form a happiness you've never experienced before and an appreciation for yourself.

And there will be moments when you feel alone.

Truly... Alone.

You will feel despaired. You will lose hope. It'll be fucking shitty. You will plunge into a bottomless abyss and feel like there won't be anybody there to catch you, but you'll be fine with that, because you won't want anybody to catch you anyways. You might be falling for days, weeks, or months. Eventually you'll reach out and catch yourself. You'll come out and be a different person, stronger, smarter, and wiser. And that's all a part of being alone.

Although sometimes... there will be somebody there to catch you. I said that you'll never find someone who understands every part of you as you do. As bad as it sounds, fortunately it's what makes each of us who we are. It's what makes each and every person we will ever meet completely unique, and its what makes us worth caring so much about. Despite however mediocre you might feel, you're special. You're worth caring for, and you'll make people feel a way about themselves that nobody else will ever be able to inspire. And you'll find that other people will try to do the same for you. As lonely as we might feel, we're never truly alone.
