Carlisle and Esme being badass parents headcanons:

I’m picturing that clip from the BBC where the dad is on a conference and his kids toddle in and the mom comes barreling in to grab them

Carlisle is the dad, Esme the mom, the girl in yellow is Emmett, the baby is Alice

It’s pretty difficult to actually get either of them mad, but when they do...

Esme is not above ripping off various limbs and stuffing them in the freezer for various amounts of time

Other punishments include listening to Edward’s inner monologue while taking notes, being Alice’s dress-up doll, getting run over by Rosalie, etc.

And if they get called into the school when someone (Emmett and Jasper probably) acts out, Esme has murder in her eyes. If it’s just her, murder is imminent

If Carlisle is there she’s usually calmer, he’s better at smoothing things over

Esme is also a different sort of mom depending on what each kid needs

I.E. She’s a very close mom with Edward, She’s a bit stern with Emmett, like his mother was, she’s very hands-off with Rosalie, etc.

Carlisle learned the hard way that “Bring your kids to work day” does not work for vampires

Emmett and Jasper were playing soccer with Edward’s detached head, several nurses almost saw

Emmett also insists on diagnosing people with “goingtobedead-itis” even when they literally just came for a bad cut

Despite all the chaos, Esme and Carlisle wouldn’t trade it for the world, they love their family

Holy hell weasel I just hit 750 followers! Before I list out stuff for *~the celebration~* let me get sappy for a moment or two.

I’m genuinely amazed and surprised that so many people have found my blog and find what I post (or reblog) entertaining enough to follow me and interact with me. I have social anxiety, and when I created this blog I originally did so to keep a lot of my favorite Twilight Renaissance memes in one place. I never thought I’d have the guts to post my own content, find friends (Hey Egg Chat I love you all), and become a part of an amazing community. Thank you so very much, it means the world to me.

🥑 rosalie x bella “if I showed up to your party, would you have me? would you want me? would you tell me to go fuck myself or lead me to the garden”

“What are you doing here?” Bella asked, surprise etched on her face.

“I heard there was a party. Am I not invited?” Rosalie stood on the Swan’s doorstep, a small blue gift box in her pale hand.

“I thought you didn’t like me.” Bella’s confuse gave way to suspicion laced with an echo of sorrow. 

“I never said that. Do you want me or not?” Rosalie’s patience dissolved. Why couldn’t Bella see her emotions as clearly as she was showing them? Didn’t Bella know how hard it was for her to show any vulnerability at all?

Rosalie knew she pushed Bella away when they first began getting closer, but hadn’t Edward or Alice told her what happened in her human life? All Rosalie had left was her outer shell--her defense mechanism. Of course, as a vampire she had all the physical attributes needed to protect herself, and then some. But emotionally? Vampires are essentially frozen how they were in their human life, unless something major comes by to upset the balance, like a natural disaster.

Bella came crashing into Rosalie’s life--quite literally, the human girl was quite clumsy, and, scared by the possibilities of being hurt again, Rosalie acted incredibly cold. She didn’t want to, but she didn’t trust anyone. Poor Bella was so confused, she knew. Bella was questioning every interaction she’d had with Rosalie. Bella understood that Rosalie was not a fan of humans, she couldn’t blame her. But just when Rosalie was starting to warm to her, it seemed like a switch flipped, and Rosalie became even colder than before.

Hence Bella’s confusion at Rosalie’s appearance at her birthday party--one Alice was throwing for her, much to Bella’s chagrin. Bella stood open-mouthed for a few long beats.

“Are you going to tell me to go fuck myself or are you going to lead me to the garden?” Rosalie held out a hand, terrified that she’d face the rejection and pain that she had tried so desperately to avoid. Bella looked down at her icy white hand, before taking it and leading Rosalie to the backyard.
