It’s time to fuck with our internal clocks again this weekend. Spring forward, move ahead, try to detect it. It’s not too late to whip it, and whip it good. 

Some have gone ahead and moved the clocks back to 1970s with inflation and skyrocketing gas prices. It’s time for Rod Stewart to have a hit song and Star Wars to lead the box office. Maybe disco will make a comeback too. Ick.

I’d rather turn the clock ahead to a time when we don’t screw around with time anymore. Arizona has the right idea. Indiana used to, but my home state caved in and started going along with the rest of the country. I’m so disappointed in you, Hoosiers!

I got a robospam call early this morning. Now I want to turn the clock ahead to tonight cause I’m already sleepy. A curse on all spam callers. They spoof real numbers now too so it’s hard to block them all. Sometimes I even get a call from myself!

AT&T has a free spam blocking app, and I have the Trucaller app on top of that, yet they still get through. Bastards.

A Texas man began tracking down telemarketers and suing them in small claims court. He’s collected $75K so far. I’ve got the brains, you’ve got the looks, let’s make lots of money...

But there is no money, because it’s all gone into our gas tanks. Or handed off to the Winn-Dixie cashier for hamburger that’s now $20 a pound. Except we have no Winn-Dixie here. Not even a Piggly Wiggly or Publix dammit.

At least we have Trader Joe’s. How did I live so long without Trader Joe’s? They’ll never have fried chicken that tastes as good as Publix, though. Partly because they don’t have a deli. 

Now I’m craving a good fried pork chop sandwich. The Piggly Wiggly in Apalachicola had the best fried pork chop sandwiches. 

I could do with some Apalachicola oysters, but the state shut down harvesting until 2025 to allow the population to rebound. With the combination of fresh water from the Apalachicola River and salt water from the Gulf they had the perfect salinity and the best taste. 

Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to eat my Trader Joe’s oatmeal and pretend it is a plate of biscuits and gravy.
