so I watched the lion king (90s film) last night and obviously the brother betrayal got me thinking of mdzs and now I wanna read/write something where JGY does a full scar and gaslight girl boss guilt tripos NHS into thinking he fully killed NMJ (kinda got that in donghua for sure) but like not just this, but that he is not a suitable leader as a result and all "hat would xichen think?" and maybe nhs runs away maybe he just all but signs over his sect to jin guangyao but like, HELL yeah
also he lives in you is a banger, unrelated as its not in the 90s film but also so related, love it. Extra fucked up in the sense that while NMJ is dead as a corspe he is around and the whole watching over thing has been so fucked up because he is watching but not in the ways he should be. Iconique

Professor Hector Munro Macdonald, one of Europe’s foremost mathematicians, died on the 16th of May, 1935.
Hector was born in Edinburgh in 1865, the son of Donald MacDonald, originally of Kiltearn, Ross-shire, and his wife Annie, daughter of Hector Munro of Kiltearn.
Hector’s earliest education was in Edinburgh, but after his parents movrf the family to Fearn, in Easter Ross, he went to school there, and afterwards to the Royal Academy, Tain, Old Aberdeen Grammar School, and the University of Aberdeen, where he graduated in 1886 with First-Class Honours in Mathematics and won a Fullerton Scholarship.
Macdonald proceeded to Cambridge after completing his first degree in Scotland. Entering Clare College, Cambridge, as a foundation scholar, he graduated in the Mathematical Tripos of 1889, was awarded a fellowship at Clare in the following year and, in 1891, was awarded the second Smith's Prize.
In 1901 he received the Adams Prize and was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of London (FRS). He was awarded the Royal Society's Royal Medal in 1916.
Macdonald held his fellowship at Clare College until 1908 and in 1914 he was awarded an honorary fellowship of his former College. From 1916 to 1918 he served as President of the London Mathematical Society. During World War I, Macdonald did war service in London attached to the Ministry of Munitions where he dealt with wages. He was transferred to the Ministry of Labour in 1916, where he remained until 1919.
Macdonald worked on electric waves and solved difficult problems regarding diffraction of these waves by summing series of Bessel functions. He corrected his 1903 solution to the problem of a perfectly conducting sphere embedded in an infinite *geneous dielectric in 1904 after a subtle error was pointed out by Poincaré. The major problem which he tackled was that of wireless waves. About the time that Macdonald published his prize winning essay on electric waves, Guglielmo Marconi was successful in the transmission of the first wireless signals across the Atlantic. However this posed a major problem at first because wireless signals, like light, should not be capable of being bent round the surface of the earth as apparently Marconi wireless signals were. Macdonald suggested that the wireless waves were being refracted by the atmosphere. It is now known that in fact the waves are reflected by the ionosphere.
Macdonald became Professor of Mathematics at the University of Aberdeen in 1905 and remained at the University for the rest of his life.

Today was a day you knew you'd remember for years even if you and Yungyu were no longer together. The morning started out amazing with you and Yungyu getting free breakfast plus free pastries a few hours later the sun started setting the two of you were sat on his floor eating the pastries
"YN open" Yungyu said putting a bite of macha cake Infront of you, his smile grew wider and his cheeks dusted with a light shade of pink when you took the bite off his fork "thanks" you giggled a light shade of pink covering your cheeks. After your snack break the two of you cleaned up your mess, Yungyu brought up the idea of going to the park
"You sure? Isn't it kinda late?" You asked looking out the window "come on! It'll be fun!!" Yungyu said pulling you towards the door you giggled at his excitement "wait" Yungyu said before bending down and grabbing your shoes "what-" you looked down confused at his actions before you could question father Yungyu started putting your shoes on you
Your body felt like it was on fire, Yungyu looked up after tying your shoes "your so cute when you blush" he giggled pinching your cheeks "ouch!" You said swatting his hands away "ok! Let's goo!!" Yungyu said dragging out the 'o' "your so weird" you teased following him out the door "I'm not weird your just boring" he said turning his face up facing away from you
"Or maybe I'm normal and your weird" you shrugged "you! Normal!" Yungyu said whipping around to face you "your super duper far from normal" he giggled grabbing your hand, not long after the two of you made it to the park, "come!" Yungyu said pulling you towards the empty grass in response you looked at him confused "dance with me" he said "but there's no music" you said awkwardly
"There doesn't have to be" he pulled your hands so you stood closer to him "gyu!" You said almost falling "let's slow dance" he said "but we don't know how" you said "that's ok we can just go with the flow of things" he said a small smile growing on his face "fine" you sighed his smile grew wider
The two of you slow danced in your own unique way tripoing over one another but having fun the once quiet park was filled with laughter. You and Yungyu were on the grass laughing from falling over one another when you two felt cold water pouring from above the two of you "we didn't bring jackets or an umbrella" you gasped
"Well....were already soaked" Yungyu said
The two of you sat on the now wet grass in silence for a minute or two before bursting out in laughter "wait let's dance again" Yungyu said pulling you up and dusting the wet grass off you. This time around the two of you got into a better rhythm the laughing died down into soft lovesick giggles
"Yn" Yungyu whispered the both of you stopping your movements "can I kiss you?" He asked, voice barely above a whisper in response you slightly nodded your head, the both of your lips met in the middle, both of your bodies felt like they were experiencing a new universe, your hearts were beating so fast and loud you were sure people around could hear it
The two of you pulled away when a need for air became over bearing, the two of you put your foreheads together eyes still closed catching your breath a minute or two later the both of you pulled away from one another, your eyes met before the two of you bursted out in a lovesick giggle one again "we should go home" Yungyu said calming from giggling fit "your right were gonna get sick" you said grabbing his hand
Indeed you were right the two of you caught a cold but got to stay together for longer so was it really so bad?

!NEW RELEASE!
Title: Sylvia Plath Day by Day, Volume 1: 1932-1955
Author: Carl Rollyson
Publication date: 15 August 2023
Pages: 400
Publisher: University Press of Mississippi (UPM)
Image source (cover & description): https://www.upress.state.ms.us
About the book:
“A fascinating investigation into the life and art of one of America’s greatest poets
Since Sylvia Plath’s death in 1963, she has become the subject of a constant stream of books, biographies, and articles. She has been hailed as a groundbreaking poet for her starkly beautiful poems in Ariel and as a brilliant forerunner of the feminist coming-of-age novel in her semiautobiographical The Bell Jar. Each new biography has offered insight and sources with which to measure Plath’s life and influence. Sylvia Plath Day by Day, a two-volume series, offers a distillation of this data without the inherent bias of a narrative.
Volume 1 commences with Plath’s birth in Boston in 1932, records her response to her elementary and high school years, her entry into Smith College, and her breakdown and suicide attempt, and ends on February 14, 1955, the day she wrote to Ruth Cohen, principal of Newnham College, Cambridge, to accept admission as an “affiliated student at Newnham College to read for the English Tripos.”
Sylvia Plath Day by Day is for readers of all kinds with a wide variety of interests in the woman and her work. The entries are suitable for dipping into and can be read in a minute or an hour. Ranging over several sources, including Plath’s diaries, journals, letters, stories, and other prose and poetry—including new material and archived material rarely seen by readers—a fresh kaleidoscopic view of the writer emerges.
Reviews
"The details in Rollyson’s Sylvia Plath Day by Day, Volume 1: 1932–1955 are a dream come true for the reader, fan, and scholar of Sylvia Plath. The seeds of so much of her creative writing are present, but Rollyson deftly does not foreshadow how events impact Plath’s life and when she transforms experiences from life to art. He lets each moment stand on its own importance."
"Sylvia Plath Day by Day, Volume 1: 1932–1955 is a must-have book for any reader interested in Plath. Detailed yet highly readable, it paints a portrait of a young woman who would become, as will be chronicled in volume 2, one of the seminal authors in the twentieth century."
"Sylvia Plath Day by Day, Volume 1: 1932–1955 fills the lacunae of existing biographies and uncovers new insights into its subject, as when Plath writes about her experiences at Smith, hearing ‘nasty little tag ends of conversation directed at you and around you, meant for you, to strangle you on the invisible noose of insinuation.’ Or her months in New York at Mademoiselle, which grow less mysterious here. Again, Carl Rollyson has provided us with an indispensable book on Sylvia Plath." “
You can order the book through their website or from other online shops.
