Anyone else pale and nauseous hours after trigger point injections? This hasn’t happened to me before, but I’m still wondering if it’s related. Of course, it’s entirely possible that it’s not.

That's my cat. He sleeps on my right side 90% of the time I'm in bed.
Caution trigger warning: needles injections shot needle bad poops
Hi
I went for my lidocaine injection, had instant relief for 2 hours of almost all my pain. But then it wears off. It is meant to focus on my trapped nerve pain and my goal was to calm that the hell down so my body could then calm the hell down.
My existence is uncomfortable. I am not in screaming pain anymore. I did have a bad poop though (loltmidontcare) but I think this is all related to swelling from the injection sites and stuff. This happened historically where I also could not feel my need to pee until I had like 30 seconds to hobble to the bathroom.
Anyways this is finally exhausting me so I'm cutting this off now and gonna try to sleep.

Deep Tissue Laser Therapy, Midlothian Medical & Sports Center, Midlothian, TX
What is Deep Tissue Laser Therapy?
Deep Tissue Laser Therapy is a non-invasive treatment that uses a low-level laser to penetrate deep into the tissues and promote healing. It is a safe and effective alternative to traditional therapies, providing fast and lasting relief from pain and inflammation.
Deep Tissue Laser Therapy
Experience the Healing Power of Light with Deep Tissue Laser Therapy
What are the benefits of Deep Tissue Laser Therapy?
Deep tissue laser therapy is a type of treatment that uses concentrated light to stimulate healing and reduce pain in the body’s tissues. Here are some of the potential benefits of deep tissue laser therapy:
Pain reduction: Deep tissue laser therapy has been shown to reduce pain and inflammation in many conditions, including arthritis, sports injuries, and chronic pain.
Improved healing: The concentrated light used in deep tissue laser therapy stimulates the production of collagen and other healing factors, which can speed up the healing process for injuries and wounds.
Reduced muscle spasms: The therapy can help relax tight muscles and reduce muscle spasms, which can be especially beneficial for people with conditions like fibromyalgia.
Increased circulation: The therapy can improve blood flow and circulation, which can help deliver nutrients and oxygen to injured tissues and promote healing.
Non-invasive: Unlike many other types of treatments, deep tissue laser therapy is non-invasive and does not require surgery or other invasive procedures.
What Does Deep Tissue Laser Therapy Treat?
Because deep tissue laser therapy reduces inflammation, and because virtually any part of the human body can become inflamed due to injury or illness, deep tissue laser therapy can be utilized in almost countless treatment applications. Patients frequently use deep tissue laser therapy to treat pain and inflammation associated with:
Sciatica
Neck pain
Joint sprains
Sports injuries
Lower back pain
Soft tissue injuries
Shoulder & knee pain
Hand & wrist injuries
Foot & ankle conditions
Post-surgical rehabilitation
Shoulder & knee discomfort
Torn ligaments, tendons, and joints
Tendonitis & tendonosis conditions
Disc issues and pain-related conditions
Is Deep Tissue Laser Right for Me?
Deep tissue laser treatments can help millions of Americans who struggle with pain and inflammation. Such treatments help reduce inflammation, accelerate healing, and ease inflammation-related pain. To see if deep tissue laser treatments are right for you, call Midlothian Medical & Sports Center at (972) 723–1155, or fill out our online contact form.

I did trigger point injections on a pt today. Her R rhomboid muscles were hypertonic so my attending helped me do the trigger point injections. They're easy. He combined lidocaine 1% 3 mL with bupivacaine 0.5% 3 mL and we injected 4 points. Easy to do and can provide relief. Hope they will help the pt. This is a procedure note for it:
After discussion of the risks and benefits, the patient elected to proceed with a trigger point injection into the R rhomboid. I confirmed no prior adverse reactions, no active infections, and no relevant allergies. Each injection site was prepped with alcohol. The site was injected with local anesthetic in 1:1 ratio of 1% lidocaine with 0.5% bupivacaine. The injections (4 total) were completed without complication and bandages were applied.

The way people are complaining that jinx isn’t the same character this season because she’s “sane” (aka not actively having an episode of psychosis, even though she literally did experience a hallucination when seeing vi with the enforcers), is strange.
also I find it strange that people talk about jinx and powder as if they’re separate people. they aren’t. jinx is powder, grown up and traumatized and mentally ill. like i completely understand that jinx likely struggles to realize this, because extremes are often the stable of bpd and she shows all the signs, and well—a personality disorder is a personality disorder.
but no jinx did not kill powder and taint her memory. powder is not gone. jinx can not exist without powder, and vice versa—because they are eachother. that’s what vi needs to realize and accept as well—her sister is not gone.
her sister just grew up and changed and is traumatized and mentally ill. it’s impossible for jinx to kill powder, or for powder to “come back,” the exact same she was. vi could never have powder back because the powder vi remembers was a scared, helpless little girl who depended on her for almost everything. powder was never going to remain that way forever—not if she wanted to survive.
powder has grown up and changed without her. that was always going to happen, it happens to everyone. if nothing happened as it did, their family was still alive, vi was never thrown in jail and powder never taken in by silco; powder still would’ve changed, somehow, someway. She’d likely still just be going by powder rather than jinx.
#houndshowlings#arcane spoilers#arcane season 2 spoilers#psychosis is not a constant thing.#the reason she’s different from how she was in s1#is because we literally meet jinx when she’s in the throes of and being reminded of her trauma.#s1 one was basically just a giant snowballing episode for jinx.#of psychosis and trauma and confusion and fear.#especially once she was injected with shimmer and hallucinated that vi and cait were hurting her.#only to be faced with the possibility of abandonment and betrayal from silco.#something she very clearly subconsciously feared for awhile.#that silco would abandon her.#people are leaning way too far into the idea that jinx is the evil insane side#and powder the innocent good side#it’s what leads some people to believe that jinx genuinely hates violet and doesn’t have any love for her.#when in fact if that were the case#vi’s choice to become an enforcer wouldn’t have triggered a full on sobbing breakdown from jinx.#it’s clearly a huge betrayal to jinx that vi did that and hunted her down to their childhood spot & took claggors goggles.#that wouldn’t have effected jinx if she and powder were truly different.#not to mention#when vi the enforcer picked up claggors goggles was when jinx pointed the gun at her.#suggesting that jinx still feels highly protective of her brother and his things.#or at least things that remind her of him.#arcane season 2#arcane#arcane powder#arcane jinx#arcane vi#arcane violet#arcane claggor

2024 year of charlie gets a fucking break (hopefully. maybe. tbd.)
#ctxt#i'm on medication that's reduced my post-hysterectomy pain by about 70%#i have an intake appointment with a physical therapist in march & a referral to start trigger point injections#to hopefully finally recover as completely as possible from the nightmarish neuropathy that's plagued me since uuuhhhh#going on 2 years ago. holy shit. genuinely can't believe i've been surviving & functioning as well as i have for this long#while suffering a disabling & extremely painful surgical complication. fuck my original surgeon for brushing me off during that time#but the new provider i'm working with is so responsive & thorough in her approach & seems genuinely committed#to helping me finally get relief after all this time. she listens to my feedback & is flexible in her approach#and her assistant is a great communicator who's been handling most of the logistics of care coordination for me#and what a huge fucking relief that is. to not have to drag my doctors kicking & screaming towards maybe treating me eventually#i wanna cry. i finally feel like i'm being taken seriously and cared for. and i'm not BETTER yet (might never be the same as i was pre-op)#but i actually feel optimistic for the first time in over a year that i won't just have to deal with this agonizing pain on my own forever#i might actually see enough improvement that i can start to get back to living my life instead of just surviving it#money is tighter than it's been since i got laid off during early pandemic and that's stressing me out#but i promised myself that i would put my health first in 2024 and that means only working the bare minimum needed to pay my bills for now#genuinely i so fucking needed a break. i felt like i was trying to swim through a meat grinder last year#and it wasn't until i ended up in the ER about it that i finally was able to take my own pain seriously enough#to put my foot down & make some necessary changes that are now letting me focus on Getting Well With Myself at last#in hindsight it's like. really freaking me out how thoroughly i was able to compartmentalize & dissociate from how miserable i was#bc nobody who had the ability to help me would take me seriously & my shitty boss was like. extremely textbook emotionally abusive#and on one hand that was a survival mechanism that kept me on my feet during one of the worst times of my life. so props to myself there#but it was also very maladaptive how long & unnecessarily it went on before i snapped out of it & escalated things for my own safety#it was the same helpless frustration i often felt as a kid of like 'well nobody is on my side but me so i gotta suck it up & help myself'#and i think the family trauma shit that was going on last year definitely contributed to that. idk sense of doubling across time?#and things had to get Extremely Bad before they were bad enough for me to realize that although i felt like it#i am no longer an isolated & parentified island of a child who is beholden to the whims of ignorant & indifferent adults#i actually can and should take action to advocate for myself bc i am an adult and i CAN now change my circumstances as needed#instead of just enduring them as if i'm stuck there with no agency or chance to change things#and i have a really solid support system who helped me feel like it was possible to stand up for myself to get the help i desperately need#chronic blogging

I got my shot today
It's hard to type and be good at it now so you get this.
I got sushi for lunch and went owling. I only saw eagles. :/
Overall the lidocaine injection is going to help but it causes chaos on the first day and night. I have severe fatigue and brain fog and pain everywhere but the spot the lidocaine is meant to treat. Today is just bad health wise but I'm in a good mood.
Oh, there's also a wounded chicken in my shed. I can't access it and if it makes it through the night, I'll get it out of there. Used a lot of energy in that situation. Won't share the photos cause it looks rough.
This probably didn't make sense. Sorry.
I'm okay, my husband is teaching care of me but I'm truly out of it.

Regenerative Medicine, Midlothian Medical & Sports Center, Midlothian, TX
If you’re looking for a natural, non-surgical way to heal from injuries or chronic conditions, regenerative medicine may be the answer you’ve been searching for!
Discover the Power of Natural Healing with Regenerative Medicine
Our team of friendly and experienced doctors specialize in regenerative medicine, which uses the body’s own natural healing abilities to repair and regenerate damaged tissues and organs. We can help you achieve optimal health and wellness without resorting to invasive procedures or prescription drugs.
How Regenerative Medicine Works
Rather than referring to a specific medical procedure, regenerative medicine is a field of medicine that involves several remedies to assist the body in promoting natural healing. Regenerative medicine can be as simple as promoting tissue growth and healing on injured skin or as complex as using artificial, human-engineered organs to replace permanently damaged organs.
Benefits of Regenerative Medicine
New findings in stem cell research, platelet-rich plasma applications, tissue engineering, and artificial organ technology have enabled patients to experience long-lasting improvements in their health. Some of the potential benefits of regenerative medicine include the following:
Pain relief without painkillers
Healing stubborn injuries permanently
Significantly improved health in joints and tendons
Rejuvenation and healthfulness in skin, hair, and nails
Improved health and long-term pain relief without side effects
Better recovery and quality of life following musculoskeletal injuries and degenerative diseases
The potential benefits from regenerative medicine are far more in number than those outlined above, as medical practitioners can tailor therapies to the patient’s needs.
Common Types of Regenerative Medicine
Types of regenerative medicine and its application are growing rapidly as patients see the benefit of treating illness and injury at its source (rather than endlessly addressing symptoms). Some of the most common and frequently sought regenerative therapies include:
Cellular therapies
Cellular therapies are a type of regenerative medicine that use cells from your own body to promote healing and repair damaged tissues. These therapies work by harvesting cells from your body and then injecting them into the injured or damaged area. Once injected, the cells work to repair and regenerate damaged tissues, promoting natural healing and reducing inflammation. Cellular therapies can be used to treat a wide range of conditions, from joint pain and osteoarthritis to chronic wounds and sports injuries.
Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy (PRP)
Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy is a type of regenerative medicine that involves using your body’s own blood to promote healing. This process involves drawing a small amount of blood from your body and then processing it in a centrifuge machine to separate out the platelets and growth factors. The concentrated platelets and growth factors are then injected back into the injured or damaged area to promote healing and reduce inflammation. PRP therapy can be used to treat a wide range of conditions, including joint pain, tendonitis, and osteoarthritis.
