God, thank you for rec'ing this fic, it is SOOOO good.
I am so sad that I am now basically caught up with it; pretty much.
I want more so badly.
But I can wait.
(also, I want Leo to get/keep some cool water/mystic water guardian powers somehow after all he goes through in this fic; he deserves some kind of award for everything he went through in the show and movie and now this. The poor blue baby goes through so much in this fic. I love it. I hate it, because the poor baby, but I love it, because I love seeing my favorites both suffer and tortured) and also gets lots of love and comfort. His bros go through so much too. They are also so great and great to each other in this fic).
Anyways, I love this fic so much, and it is such a Rise take on H20 (loved those show(s) btw), and also, horrifying (or how you described it as, psychological horror) and creepy and mind-trippy and stuff/etc. too!
Just a really awesome premise and story and characterization and etc.!
Anyways, just such an awesome fic. I am pretty obesessed with it now. I rec. it too so much to other people.
Esp. if u are looking for some Leo-centric stuff and/or are a Leo fan! It is great for that. Though, it is just great in general too.
Thanks OP once again for rec'ing this great fic, and a great Leo-centric fic too. I am always looking for more good Leo stuff/Leo takes/Leo-centric stuff/etc.
Now for more of this amazing fic.
Also, if you find any more great fics/comics/whatever/etc., esp. good Leo/Leo-centric/has good Leo characterizations or portrayals or takes and so on/etc. ones then I wouldn't mind u making another post or reblog or whatever like this post! Or something like that or something.
Like I said; I am always ready to have more of those kinds of things to read/watch/listen to/etc.
P.S.: I also find that love line from Ch15. Esp. in context. Though, with the context, I am also freaking out too (during that part/scene(s)).
Before I go to bed.... Another ROTTMNT Leo-centric fanfic rec
Ongoing fanfic, 15/? as of 04/26/23
Gen, no romance
Synopsis: Leo goes swimming and "something" follows him back home in return. Kind-of mind-control/possession ensues and mostly not fun.
Sickfic except the "sick" is kinda like the whole "parasite from the water" psychological horror situation, except that parasite is also maybe um magic. Like. H2O: Just Add Water except significantly more stressful.
Please note the psychological horror aspect and the additional tags
The fluff is good when it's there, but so is the angst🤙🤙
Anyways, I love this line from chapter 15:
Because despite how much this scene sent my heart racing, amazing dialogue as always 🤙🤙🤙

Back For You (Charles Leclerc x Reader)
Series Masterlist

Charles was gone most weekends of the year, either because of the races or because of having to be at the factory. He was away more times than he would like to admit. It always left a sour taste in his mouth, wondering what Y/N thought of him. Did she resent him for leaving her behind? He would love to take her where ever he went but he couldn't ask her to drop everything just to accompany him. So, whenever he left the house, he'd always say, "I'll be right back" as a promise to come home no matter what happens.
Y/N knew the one thing Charles hated the most was being away. He would only leave when extremely necessary and come back as soon as he was done. She appreciated that he tried to make an effort to be around as much as he did with how busy he was. Sometimes, they would sit in silence with Charles wrapped around her waist as she finished up with work. Y/N would occasionally run a hand through his hair as Leo slept peacefully near them.
It was one of those shitty weekends Charles had, Y/N couldn't come to all the races but she tried to come to the ones that were the most important. This race had been taxing on him to say the least, the weekend started off horribly and things turned out okay in the end. He just wanted to be home. Y/N had sent in messages of encouragement, they helped.
As soon as Charles opened the door, Y/N ran to him to hug him. "I missed you" she mumbled against his chest. "Me too" he kissed the top of her head. "It's late" he stated dropping his bags and carrying her to bed. "You know I can't sleep without you" she smiled sleepily. "Your eye bags" he laughed poking under her eye. "Hey! My favourite cuddle pillow's away lately" she pouted. "I'm sorry I'm away so much" he lamented. "No no" she said pecking his lips, "There's nothing to be sorry about. You're doing what you love and if I held you back from that, would be my biggest disappointment." she spoke. "My biggest disappointment is I have to leave you behind" he mumbled. "You get to come back to me. Nothing to be disappointed about" she smiled kissing him. "Now can we sleep. I have to wake up early tomorrow" she said plonking on the bed. "Give me a second" he stated and quickly took his clothes off, jumping into bed. Y/N wrapped her arms around his waist and snuggled up. "You still smell like champagne" she laughed, licking his chest. Charles burst out laughing, "Maybe I didn't shower well" he nodded more to himself. "I can lick you clean" she offered. "We can sleep for now. You can do that later, my pretty kitty" he laughed, pulling her closer.

In a relationship with 💙 Leonardo 💙 - SFW and Suggestive Headcanons/ficlet
Disclaimer: all my writings contemplate the turtles aged up at about their late 20s, with the reader at the same age range. Your media consumption is your own responsibility ✨ dividers by @/cafekitsune
More Ninja Turtle headcanons in my masterlist!

Leonardo is designated and resident Mr. Gentleman, and that's the main reason why you fell for him nearly instantly.
The first few days of knowing him were full of him calling you "Miss," which, in his voice, made you weak in the knees. He would also open doors for you, clear paths for you, tell you to watch your step whenever there was tricky terrain or a puddle, and ask for your permission whenever he'd have to help you climb up or down a building/manhole, depending on where you were going.
You were sure Leonardo was simply being polite with you and acting like the leader, which made him naturally respectful and caring. You didn't suspect Leonardo had a thing for you for months into knowing each other.
That being said, Leonardo had a hard time pining for you. The first one to notice was Donnie, but he never said a word. After him, Raph quickly realized Leonardo was a little off whenever you were around, and he tried to confront Leo and get him to admit he liked you on many occasions, but Leo would never accept it, not wanting to make a huge deal since he was certain you wouldn't return his feelings. It took him a while to get used to the idea of you feeling the same way.
When he couldn't deny it anymore was the first time you called him by his nickname, the one only you called him and he loved so much. The first time you called him Leon, he went so soft he didn't even have to speak the words "I like you" out loud. You could tell just by looking at those big blue eyes.
Now that you're together, he can't get enough of you addressing him in that special way. He doesn't care for pet names nearly as much as he just wants to hear you calling him that, and he'll verbally ask you to from time to time.
"Call me that again," he'll say, and he'll smile when you humor him by looking into his eyes and softly speaking the nickname.
"Leon."
The only other nickname you really have for him is "handsome" because, let's face it, for a turtle and a mutant, Leonardo is very handsome indeed. When you aren't using either of those names, you'll just call him Leonardo. Similarly, Leonardo loves to call you by your proper name, and he never fails to remind you how much he loves your name too. The only other pet name he has for you is "beautiful," which goes nicely, when you think about it. He's the handsome to your beautiful.
He prefers physical touch and shows of affection to be kept in private, but Leonardo's no stranger to loving looks and lingering stares whenever you two have company.
When you're alone, Leonardo will often hold you by your waist. He just loves the curve of your back.
He loves the feeling of your hands on him, too, and not only in a 👀 spicy 👀 way. Leonardo just loves that you touch him, whether you're playfully running a hand over his bicep or tenderly caressing the scars on his face.
Leonardo is a real sucker for kissing, no pun intended. Most of your alone time with him is spent making out, and you must say he's become a really good kisser since you started dating.
If you ever want to spice up a make out sesh with him, just call him Leon between kisses and look at him go! 🥴
And speaking of private moments, Leonardo's a real giver.
It amazes you how he manages to remain chivalrous even while he's giving you all the attention you could possibly want 👀
He loves to kiss your neck and your collarbones, and he'll take every opportunity to leave a little mark.
The hottest make outs you've had with him have been a result of him catching you staring at him - it really boosts his confidence and his ego to know you like what you see.
But on a more serious note - being the leader of the squad, Leonardo doesn't make a habit of venting or expressing any fears to his brothers. He does rely on you for that, never seeking to overwhelm you, but he knows he can trust you and that you'll be there for him, comforting him whenever he's had a rough mission or feels like his grip on the squad is loosening.
Needless to say, Leonardo's incredibly protective of you. He doesn't mind keeping watch outside of your home overnight if you ever feel uneasy, though most times he'd prefer it if you spent the night at the lair where not only he, but the rest of his brothers could protect you, too. Leonardo would honestly just prefer it if you moved in with him, to be honest.
His main love language is acts of service. If you mention a spider's been making its home on the roof of your bedroom, he'll go find it and move it outside. If you tell him you're thirsty, he'll get you a glass of water, and if you're ever scrunched up on the couch, he'll get you a blanket without you needing to ask for one.
All in all, everyone can tell how much you love each other. They know how good of an effect you have on Leonardo, and sometimes his brothers *ahem* Mikey *ahem* will try to get you to convince Leonardo to do things he might not normally approve of. It never works.
You would never trust anyone to do what Leonardo was doing at that moment. With one of his large hands, he carried you up a fire escape, supporting your full weight with his arm as if you were a beloved plush toy - he wouldn't break a sweat. His other hand was over your eyes, shielding your senses from whatever was waiting for you on the rooftop. That was all you knew, that for that date night, you'd be headed toward a rooftop. Leon had been secretive about the rest of the details. Stealth was one of his greatest qualities, unsurprisingly, but when it came to you, you could always read him like a book.
Because of that, whenever you caught a whiff of Leon having a surprise for you, the butterflies would endlessly swarm in anticipation inside you.
"Almost there, beautiful," he reassured, and you could hear the smirk in his voice.
"This is a tall building," you observed. "Or are you just stalling?"
"Uh..." Leonardo said. "Both, to be honest."
You giggled. "Oh, this better be good."
"Well, I have high hopes," he said, after which you felt the movement of him leaping over the edge of the wall, his grip on you safe and tight. When his feet landed, you could hear that they had distinctly done so on concrete, and it became clear you were on the rooftop he intended.
"Now, I'm gonna uncover your eyes, but you need to keep them closed, okay?" Leonardo said.
"I promise," your answer was playful.
"Stay here," he said gently, and you felt him set you on the ground and remove his fand from on top of your eyes.
You kept your promise and didn't look, not even to hint at peeking for further mischief. Around you, you could hear cars in the distance honking and driving through the streets, an airplane flying by, the wind brushing past you - all sounds from your familiar city. You couldn't hear Leonardo at all, ever the masterful ninja, dominant in stealth and agility, but when you focused enough, you soon became aware of the faintest hum of electricity that reached your ears, and not long after that, a soft press of a button made way for the intro of your favorite song, the song that had become yours and Leon's song.
"Open 'em," Leonardo said.
On his command, you opened your eyes and were met with a scene that could make you burst into hearts. The rooftop was small, and it had been turned into the coziest spot in the city. Blankets, pillows and cushions made a fort on the ground in front of which was a projector ready to play your favorite movie. There were three boxes of pizza at the center of the largest blanket on the ground, and there was a mini cooler with your favorite drinks in it. The rooftop, both on the ground and the pergola above, was covered in warm white and colored fairy lightsm giving the place an aura of romance and even a hint of magic. You couldn't help but gasp at the sight, and the only thing that made it more perfect was Leonardo standing in front of it all, his hand extended towards you, inviting you to him.
"Leon..." you walked up to him in awe. "You did all this?"
"Donnie helped," Leonardo replied, unable to take the credit all to himself.
"Oh," you sighed, taking one more look around before your gaze finally landed on Leonardo. "This is beautiful!"
He pulled you in closer. "Much like you."
You giggled as heat rose to your cheeks. "Seriously... thank you. But what even is the occasion?"
"I wanna pamper you," Leonardo said, angling his body to gesture at the fort of blankets and pillows. "Right this way, miss."
You felt yourself blushing even harder at Leonardo's chivalry - it would never fail to make you swoon. Still holding your hand, he led you toward the fort and helped you down to sitting, and then he took a seat next to you. One arm draped securely around you, pulling you close to him for you to snuggle against his broad frame, and the other reached for the pizzas.
"Your banquet," he smiled.
"My, my," you cooed. "How elegant we are."
Leonardo chuckled in that deep, smooth voice that you love dearly, and he leaned in to kiss you on the lips, unable to contain his desire to keep you close. The kiss was tender and sweet, almost shy, reflecting the gentleman he was. You kissed him back and brushed your hand lovingly over his cheek, giving him the confidence to kiss you with slightly more force before he pulled away and reached for a blanket to drape over you both.
"You doing alright?" He asked.
You nodded, leaning on him again. "This is perfect, Leon. Thank you."
He kissed your temple and opened the box of pizza to hand you a slice, which you happily took. You both ate and made little conversation in between, waiting for your song to finish, after which the movie began and you both settled for a lovely night outside.

He's my favorite so of course this got a bit long. I hope you liked it! You can see my masterlist for more if you want!
Reblogs are appreciated! 💙

*ੈ✎ two boys (one to kiss your neck and one to bring you breakfast)

note: guys this wasnt supposed to be my first work here but it came to me the easiest 😔😔 song title is bike dream by rostum 😍this isnt like the meaning of the song tho dw
content: leo valdez x reader, jason x reader; dating hcs

*ੈ LEO VALDEZ
loves affectionately and openly
he'll peck your lips in front of everyone without a care in the world, as if after he's had a taste of your touch, he can't go a second without it (he'd probably make out with you if you let him)
he follows you everywhere, even trying to go with you while you shower (he'll never go inside the actual shower unless you want to)
"leo, as much as i love you, no. not today at least!"
"i'll just sit on the toilet seat, i swear! and i can talk about all my cool inventions!"
(maybe you'll change your mind?)
has to have a hand on you at all times
even a pinky will do for him
he loves holding pinkies actually, he thinks its so cute
will make you pinky promise not to snitch on him when he blurts out a new prank idea in the works
loves overexaggerating gentlemanly acts?? for the sillies
like he'll bow down to a 90 degree angle and swoop an arm out while the other kisses your hand
opens the car door for you like an escort
"for you, milady!" and does a cheeky little wink as he bows
he loves it when you play along like a rich noble from the 1800s
showers you with the metal work he does
he'll make you cute little rings and necklaces if you like jewelry
or metal flowers that'll never wilt
or something more practical, like a switchblade if you like those
either wakes up at 5am or sleeps in until noon there is no in between
or maybe he stays up until 5am because one time you caught him slipping out of bed to finish up the gift he was making you
"leo? what are you doing up?" you rub your eyes sleepily as you catch him at his desk, the lamp you gifted him glowing dimly
he startles and shoves (gently) the scraps of metal you see behind his arm
he grins sheepishly and rests his hand on his fist, positioning himself so you wouldn't see what he was making
"uh.. nothing! just finishing something!" he doesn't lie per se, but he'd rather not tell you the whole truth just yet (he loves how your face lights up when he presents another gift to you)
being the half-asleep mess you are, you didn't notice much
"alright.. just go to sleep soon, okay?" you yawn and turn back around to head back to bed.
"will do!" he whisper-shouts after you and sighs to himself in relief once you leave. close call!
you find a warm blanket preventing you from getting up the next morning, which just happened to be leo, his arms wrapped around your waist as if you were a pillow
a few more hours of sleep can't hurt, right?
*ੈ JASON GRACE
he's a bit shy to love
doesn't really do pda, but he'll hold your hand lotsss
if you guys started dating but didn't announce it, no one would catch on until they see you and jason holding hands (that took a lot of courage on his end btw)
after that he was a bit more open about it
i feel like he's kind of awkward at first
he tried to sneak up behind you one time and hug you but you turned around too soon and accidentally rammed your head into his chin
he tried to play it off because he's too cool to be embarrassed (his face was bright red)
can and will pick you up
it all started when you guys were running from monsters but your leg was injured so you couldn't move that fast and he literally just swooped you up bridal style and RAN
ran like the wind, even (haha guys pls laugh)
literally sprinting even as he carries a whole person like you were nothing
you fell in love (again)
he found out you like it when he does that so he'll do it randomly
"so then i said-" you were cut off with a yelp as jason picked you up off the bed and carried you in his arms, swinging you gently with a smile on his face
you pause in your storytelling, blinking at him as you grow increasingly flustered
he merely nods at you, saying, "keep going, i'm listening."
OH MY GOODNESS
tried to do reps with you after but you kept laughing
acts of service is so him
when you complain about it being too hot, he'll send a cool breeze your way
if you ask him if he did that, he'll play dumb
it was sweltering outside, the summer heat even worse as the both of you hiked up a trail
"gods, it's so hot!" you complained, taking a long swig of your water
jason hummed his agreement, and shortly after you felt a weird breeze out of nowhere
you pause, eyeing the demigod in front of you
"jason?"
"yeah?"
"did you do that?" you prod at his back teasingly, the smile evident in your voice
"i have no idea what you're talking about."

:D omg, you are going to make me addicted to apolo, the man cries out to be loved, a request for the favor of our dear apolo (in devinart there was a farm where the reader dated leo but he cheated on her with calypso, then the He realizes that he made the worst mistake of his life, seeing that because of calypso he was attracted but he loved the reader)How does Leo react when he discovers that his ex-girlfriend, whom he still loves, is now Apollo's partner(fiancee) pleeeees
i'm a loser.・゜-: ✧ :-
leo valdez x fem!reader x apollo
summary: Leo realizes that he messed it up a little... well no, he totally screwed up. And now he's going for you, he's going to tell you that he loves you, that you should be together for the rest of your lifes oooh, wait. Are you married with Apollo? THE GOD APOLLO? warnings: THIS IS SO LONG, HAHA but another one? mmm nope, i don't think so. a/n: yeaaaah, the concept you gave me is so hilarious, i love it. Leo is literally my boyfriend but making him suffer makes me laugh, it's like YES DAMN CRY FOR ME, but whatever. i was even inspired by that song by my beloved Beatles. i hope you like it.
w/c: 2.617 (the longest I've done so far, followed by "lovelorn")

Apollo wanted to laugh, he really wanted to, but he had learned not to make fun of other people's shit, but damn, could you blame him? He definitely never thought that Leo Valdez was an opponent for him, don't get him wrong, he was saying it because he likes him. (really) and helped him during his mission, but there, standing from his palace on Olympus, he could see everything, including if someone was threatening against you, his wife.
Flames rose as Leo threw the map into the air in fury, totally frustrated in Festus. He couldn't find you, in fact, Apollo kept wondering how he was tracking you, but he didn't seem to want to answer that question. No, or he would end his patience, yes, he had appreciation for the Son of Hephaestus, but when they messed with you, he would lose his mind immediately, or worse, try to get into their relationship? He would be in charge of throwing Leo from the Mount Olympus.
Of course, he wasn't afraid, much less jealous, but he knew what the relationship with Leo had meant to you. You were totally in love, even Apollo knows that you would have married him if only Leo hadn't screwed things up, and boy did he do it big.
He mean, cheating on you with the now ex-sorceress Calypso? Oh, man. Who the fuck would cheat on you? Hmm, yes, Leo Valdez.
The main doors of the palace opened and Apollo dissolved the image. Some murmurs were heard, followed by footsteps heading towards the main throne room, it was definitely you.
— Apollo?— He heard the doors opening, and he stood in front of the fire, he didn't want to lie to you, but he couldn't interfere either, he knew that would make you upset. The footsteps approached and he felt you take his arm. — Apollo!—
He looked at you and feigned surprise. He raised both hands in welcome and cradled your face with them before giving you a chaste kiss on the lips. — My beautiful wife.
You closed your eyes when his lips touched yours, and you smiled tenderly.
— Dear husband — You said in a soft mocking tone. You used to do it when Apollo couldn't help but sound so… posh. But to tell the truth, he filled you with joy.
He ran his fingers over your forehead, removing some baby hairs, and made a golden wreath of laurels appear on the crown of your head. He always spent his time adorning you and making you feel loved, you loved him.
Then, Apollo forced himself to blow out the bubble.
— Do you want something, dear?
— I know we're on… — your cheeks turned pink — the honeymoon, but I need to go to Camp Jupiter.
Your pleading eyes, damn, not even Zeus would dare say no to you. Then, he realized what was happening. Apollo tried to hide the realization from himself, but that name began to swirl in his mind; The Fates. Those antiques would hear about him.
—The honeymoon is an old concept, with traditions that we really don't take so… literally anymore —Apollo said as he gently ran his fingers over your blushing cheeks. —So, you know you can come and go whenever you want. I'm not like my uncle Hades.
The blonde giggled, and you poked his arm, making him jump.
— Apollo!
— My love!
You looked at him with a frown, and he smiled even more, trying to push aside all those thoughts where you could get hurt.
It was a fact, you were going to meet Leo at Camp Jupiter, and he wouldn't be able to do anything.
He caressed your face once more and turned, walking to the large window of the great room.
You felt bad leaving him alone, you didn't want to leave him like that, but you were in the last semesters of your degree. Yes, you were on vacation, but you had to leave some paperwork behind.
— I won't take a second.
Apollo let out a short laugh, full of knowledge. He knew it would take you at least a day and a half to get back to him. He turned to you and walked slowly.
—Just come back to me, dear.
Your eyes shone, and you walked the distance he needed to close the distance between you. You took his hands and kissed his knuckles.
— Always.
He turned his hands so that he was the one holding yours now and made a wedding ring appear on your ring finger. When you looked at the diamond, you raised your eyebrow and your look became amused.
—Do you mark your territory?
Apollo smiled and kissed your forehead.
— In case some fool hasn't heard the great news that I am your husband.
The fool was Leo, yes. Apollo said it for him, if not, for who else?
Your husband had done you a favor and made you appear right at the entrance to Camp Jupiter, advantages of a god making you his wife. When the campers guarding the doors saw you, they immediately opened it for you.
You excused yourself and made your way towards New Rome, in fact, you hesitated whether to go there first or go say hello or… If you would meet them anyway near the university.
You walked to the limit.
You loved New Rome, it was definitely home to you, at least when you had to stay on campus during the semester. But to live the rest of your life there would also have been pleasant, although Mount Olympus wasn't bad.
You made your way and some looked at you. So, you quickened your pace, you didn't like to attract a lot of attention like that.
You moved quickly towards the university and found the campus. Blessed be the gods.
You clutched the papers to your chest and walked.
— HEY!
You turned around slowly, not really wanting any questions. But you turned completely around when you saw Frank holding hands with Hazel, trying to reach you.
— GUYS!
They both caught up to you and smiled hungrily. They wanted to hug you, but they backed out at the last moment, which made you frown.
— What was that?
Frank started babbling and Hazel laughed nervously.
—Can we hug you?
You laughed and threw yourself at both of them, so you hugged at the same time. — You fools, I'm the same as always. Just how married and that's it.
Frank denied. — WITH APOLLO
Hazel punched him in the belly, making him double over. The three of you laughed, and then she looked at you nervously.
—Have you seen anyone else? —She asked. You denied.
— I figured Percy and Annabeth would be in New York for the holidays. Nico and Will, Camp Half-Blood, Jason finishing his accounting for the new altars. Piper, in Oklahoma… — You made loops with your hand and thought if you had forgotten someone.
Hazel looked at Frank, and he encouraged her to say whatever had them both acting that way.
Hazel sighed.
—Leo arrived in the morning.
Your expression did not change at all, a reaction that your friends had not expected.
— AND?
Frank scratched the back of his neck nervously. — He is actually searching for you.
Then your eyebrows raised, showing your confusion.
— what? — You snorted. You looked for any sign that it was a joke, but there was none. — So? Do I owe him money?
Hazel laughed nervously and shook her head.
— I think he's looking for you because he wants to fix things with you.
— He's desperate — Frank agreed.
You laughed sarcastically.
—But he knows that I'm already married, right?
— Apparently… no one told him.
— What? — You asked again, raising your voice a little more. Both exchanged nervous glances. You mean, how far is Indianapolis? — Wait, he was with Calypso, he literally cheated on me with her because he said she was the love of his life.
The two of them raised their shoulders and you scoffed.
—Anyway, I'll leave these documents and go off to enjoy what's left of the vacation. Apollo waits for me. Will you accompany me?
Damn, the three of you were about to enter when you heard someone call your name, then Hazel's and finally Frank's, he was definitely the one who turned around, consequently forcing you and Hazel to do the same.
What your eyes saw were priceless. It was Leo running across campus with half his shirt burned and a desperate expression. Your heart raced, and your feet wanted to run away, instead, you stayed still and speechless.
—You are seeing the same thing, right?
Your friends nodded.
—He wasn't like this when we last saw him— Hazel said, forcing a smile and shaking her hand at Leo.
Leo had stopped at Camp Jupiter for supplies, also to check that you weren't there, and you definitely weren't there when he arrived, but rumors spread fast. You wondered if your ex-boyfriend had heard about why everyone was whispering about your arrival, but it seemed like not, or at least he seemed to ignore it.
And so it was.
Fate, the planets, and the stars aligned to ensure that Leo was ignorant about it, so that you would be the one to deal the final blow.
Things with Calypso didn't work out, why? Leo couldn't get you off his mind. Oh, what had he done? He literally cried like a baby when he realized he still loved you. He loved you, you loved him, so as always, he had to screw up.
Leo ran harder; He was taller, a little stockier, and his curls were fluffier than ever. Everything you used to worship was probably just a shadow of its former self. You weren't saying that he was bad, but you definitely no longer felt anything for him, although you couldn't help but feel a tug in your tummy full of melancholy, pain, and anger.
You had already forgiven him, but his recklessness made you want to kill him.
With little breath, Leo crouched down in front of you, grabbing his knees and looking for air.
You took a step back, your face dripping with confusion.
Hazel and Frank looked at him disapprovingly.
—I've been looking for you—he finally said.
— That's what I heard.
Leo stood up and wanted to hug you. To your surprise, you didn't stop him. You missed your friend Leo Valdez. Not your cheating ex-boyfriend, Leo Valdez.
Frank and Hazel screamed and became nervous.
—I've missed you.— He said, breathing softly, taking in pinches of your scent.
Your heart clenched and you forced yourself to smile.
—Me too, Leo.
That gave him courage. He broke the hug and gently took you by the arms.
— I was wrong… — His brown eyes projected remorse and sorrow. — I was seriously wrong, I shouldn't have…
The son of Hephaestus took a deep breath.
— I betrayed your trust. I put your love aside to think that my place was with someone else, but what a jerk… My place has always been with you. You are the one I love the most. Please forgive me …
Those words, as you would have liked to hear them so long ago, but now they were slipping over you, completely meaningless.
—Leo…
— Please! Give me another chance.
His plea resonated, drawing the attention of some residents. They took it as just a student love situation until they saw you. Oh shit, weren't you the wife of the great Apollo?
— Leo, you see… No. We can't have another chance.
Leo's heart beat so fast that he felt like it would jump out of his heart. He held you a little tighter and leaned down.
He was going to kiss you.
— No! — Hazel gasped and Frank hid behind her.
People around the campus seemed on the edge of their seats, they even plead the gods for Apollo didn't appear out of nowhere and incinerate them all. The god was definitely struggling to control his breathing from the palace. Where did his Yoga classes go? Someone meditate with him, please! He wanted to hang Leo.
You put a hand on Leo's lips, and he felt something cold. You slowly pushed him away with a frown on your face.
— I said no.
You turned your hand and revealed the glow of the diamond to his view. The Sun made it look ethereal because, well, it was.
Leo's soul fell at his feet, and he shook his head in confusion.
—I don't… I don't understand.
— I'm married, Leo. I married someone. Did you think I would be heartbroken since you
cheated on me with Calypso? That I will wait for you? — You snorted and pushed him gently.
— But with who?! Who the fuck-
You put your hand over his mouth again and shook your head.
—Don't do that.— You sighed brokenly and tried to do it delicately. If you named Apollo, everything could go to Tartarus. —He considers you for helping him during his mission as a mortal.
The gossipers laughed, some adults denied indignantly, and their friends, shit, Frank was almost having a heart attack fearing that Apollo would burn Leo to ashes.
—Apollo? —He said, with even greater confusion.
The god was still clinging to the edge of his throne, expectant.
You looked above and came to the conclusion that he was giving your ex-boyfriend a break. That action fell like a bucket of cold water on the son of Hephaestus.
He walked away from you.
— what?
You turned your gaze and caressed his cheek kindly. — I don't hold a grudge against you, Leo. I loved you so much. But I found someone who did not doubt his love for me and without thinking wanted to grow with me.
The boy shook his head and stumbled as he relented, leaving your hands suspended in the air. A gust of sweet air embraced them in that silent moment.
He let you go and thought he might have you back.
You were his friend, his confidant, and the love of his life, yet he let you go.
He disguised his doubts with bad jokes, dishonest touches, and lies.
How could he have been so stupid?
Haha, there goes the idiot that lost the love of his life to a god.
How could a love like the one you used to possess lose?
Look at me, then, Leo said to himself.
You returned with Apollo and your nerves were overwhelming you. This time you felt so distant to the palace, as if you were not worthy to enter. Still, they received you and welcomed you.
— is in his room.
You thanked and headed to the bedroom. Taking care not to be noisy and watch your steps.
Being at the foot of the entrance, the door opened and revealed your husband. Smiling?
Apollo opened the door and pulled you into the room. You couldn't help but laugh.
Your clothing magically changed upon entering, your modern clothes replaced by a white robe edged with gold. Your hair now adorned with laurels and golden jewels.
The jingle of jewelry amidst your loved one's laughter seemed like the most exquisite sound to you. He held you in his arms and hid her face in the crook of your neck.
You stroked his fluffy blonde curls.
— Welcome.
He said, bumping his forehead against yours.
— Did you miss me?— You said with humor. Apollo kissed your lips, instantly making you feel disoriented. He traced your cheek, your chin, and your neck. Kissed you behind your ear and hummed.
— I know I told you it would be fine if you went, but gods, how I missed you. Don't leave me the rest of your holidays.
You nodded.
That was your home.

I had an idea that I think about and I was wondering if you could write it if you feel comfortable-
Rise!Turtles reacting to being called a simp-
Like they are just hanging out one day or the turtles do something for us and we just call then a simp-
It won't leave my head-
Being Called a Simp

RotTMNT x gn!reader
Warnings: fluff, offended turtles
A/N: I'm sick as I'm writing this... So... I think 1/2 of them have you being sick :/

Donnie
It wasn't just one thing that made you call him a simp, it was multiple things a few days in a row
First it was:
"I made you some noise cancelling headphones..."
"I know you can get overwhelmed and I uh, thought you would like these."
They were your favorite color and had stickers/paintings of your favorite characters on them
Then:
"Hey, I asked Raph to fix these pants for you... I know you were upset when they ripped..."
You almost said it then, but he was a gift giver after all
What made you finally say it?
You had texted him that you had to raincheck your date because you were sick
Just for him to show up with medicine and your favorite snacks
"You're such a simp, Don."
"Gasp! I'm just returning the favor. Maybe I'll stop doing so."
He grumbled for days after you called him that
Leo
100% knows he's a simp
He does everything for you
He opens doors
Pulls out and pushes in your seats
Makes sure you're not next to the road when on a walk
Etc. Etc.
One day you finally had enough and wanted to tell him
"You're a simp, Leon."
"I know."
"W-What?"
"Why else would I do all this for you?"
He's so smug about it
Doesn't really care
Mikey
The boy ever
Like Leo, he does everything for you
He looks out for you at all times
But what made you finally say it?
You got sick and Mikey drug you to the lair
It was darker and quieter than the city (either one nyc or hidden)
He set you up in his room
The biggest, comfiest blankets
He even let you steal some of his clothes
Now he was turning off all the lights for you
"Michael... You're a simp..."
"What's that?"
"Someone who's excessively attentive to their loved one."
".... Is it bad?"
He's fine with being a simp if it means you feel loved
Raph
Always tries to make you smile and laugh
He makes you clothes a lot
He took some of your old, ratty t-shirts that you didn't want to get rid of cause they held value to you
And made them into joggers so you could still wear them
He did that a lot, it was nice to reuse something that wasn't ruined
So when he presented them to you, you couldn't hold back.
"Wow... Raph... I don't know what to say..."
"Do you like them? If not I can fix them."
"Raph, they're perfect!"
He blushes and hugs you
"I never realized you were a simp."
He had no clue what it meant so he looked it up
Yep... That's him alright...

TMNT Crack Headcanon: Pink Dye Fail
Warnings: Spelling, bad humor
----------------------------------
Michelangelo had been thinking about this prank for several days, and today was finally the day! He had been waiting excitedly for the day April's name poped up on his phone, telling him that she got the pink hair dye he had asked for. Confused she handed it over to him, but couldn't get the chance to ask him, before the orange turtle ran for the hills and into the bathroom of the lair.
Giggling like a little school girl, Mikey opened the shampoo bottle, and poured the pink dye in. He couldn't wait! The face on Raph when he realizes that the shampoo is turning his hair pink! Best prank ever! Mikey would forever keep up his title as the prank king!
With the now resealed shampoo bottle back on the shower shelf, Mikey ran into living room, sitting in the couch, waiting for Raph to finish his training in the weight room. He tried hard to keep his smile and laugh down, but failed miserably, causing Donnie to keep an eye on him. It was best not to get too close when Mikey was like that.
Raph finally finished his training, coming out with a towel over his shoulders. Mikey jumped behind the couch with a yelped, fighting to keep still. Raph took notice and raised his right brow. He turned to Donnie who just shrugged. He had no idea either.
Raph shrugged his own shoulders before turning and walking towards the bathroom. Mikey jumped up on the couch once again, jumping like a child. Donnie stared in slight concern. Yup, Mikey was up to something.
It didn't take long before Master Splinter and Leo came out from the dojo, after their long training session. They both noticed Mikey's jumpy behavior on the couch and looked to Donnie. He once again shrugged his shoulders. He still didn't know what Mikey was up to. Still, Leo took an extra look into his glass before getting some water to drink.
They heard the water turn of in the bathroom, causing Mikey to stand on the couch, staring towards the bathroom door in anticipation. Raph came out with a towl wrapped around his waits and... nothing. He was still as green as ever, with no trace of pink.
Mikey's face fell, confusion setting in. He jumped from the couch to Raph, starting at him, checking him for any pink spots, not noticing Splinter going to the bathroom to take his turn in the showe. Raph stared from Mikey to his two other brothers. Both of them were as confused as them.
Mikey stood back in confusion. How was his brother not pink? He poured ALL the dye into the shampoo bottle... wait... Mikey didn't use shampoo... He had no hair... Neither did Raph... Actually, none of his brothers used shampoo. They are turtles!
Then why did they have shampoo in the shower?
Oh no...
"MICHELANGELO!!!!!"
All four brothers turned in horror, screaming at the sight in the bathroom door.

Mikey was grounded until the pink dye was out of Master Splinters fur.

Trick or treat! It's fanfic anon, here to drop off a treat for you! Rereading Wrong Fabricated Time Branch has me feeling things and I wrote this little magnetic duo thing-
---
Cassandra didn't come back.
Between Casey Junior, the entire rest of the Resistance, and trying and failing to be there for his family, Leo barely had time for himself. Heh, what was a little less time for himself when there was the rest of the world to take care of?
So then, Leo found himself caring for a child that wasn't his; said child sleeping peacefully for the first time in days. That part was fine, not at all stressful. With that child loosely swaddled in his own scarf, he paced around the room as he briefly (and quietly) laid out the plans for the next resource raid. His energy waned, his vision blurring and his words turning into white noise. His steps grew more haggard, but standing or sitting still wouldn't feel right either.
Out of the corner of his eye, Leo noticed a familiarly large silhouette walk past the open door. No, not quite walking past; more like walking towards. He merely nodded to address the other presence, not quite recognising who was standing there until he dismissed the rest a few minutes later.
The moment the last member left the room, Leo identified the closest horizontal surface, set Casey Junior on a chair, and immediately collapsed onto the hard wooden table.
"Leo?"
Leo could only groan in response, recognition finally taking root in his mind. He turned his head away from the source of the sound, groaning. He just wanted his two minutes of table time before the next team went in.
"Leo. It's important, we need'a talk."
Despite the fatigue in his bones, Leo sat up (yes, on the table) to face the snapping turtle. Oof, the big guy was getting blurrier than he remembered, but he assumed he looked focused enough to "make eye contact".
"What is it? News on Cass? Missing resources? Someone lost their kid?"
"Not that."
"Then what?"
There was silence, and Raph's glare (Leo's assuming) was piercing enough. Be it a result of their odd ability to mind meld or something similar, Leo knew Raph wasn't here to talk about the Resistance.
The slider sighed, "Then it isn't important."
Leo couldn't quite see the expression on Raph's face change, but there was a shift in the tension of the room. "Leo. Everyone can see it. You need rest."
"Wha-hat?" Leo sounded way too surprised for it to be funny, but he had to make an attempt at levity, "You think I'm tired? Are you mistaking me for Donnie?"
Raph didn't even pause. "When was the last time you slept?"
"Uh-" He stifled the way his words began to slur.
"Or the last time you had more than five minutes for yourself?"
"Well-" He fought his faltering vision.
"Or the last time we talked about stuff that doesn't concern the Resistance?"
"Come on, that isn't fair!" He knew Raph was mad, but it wouldn't be the first time.
"Tell me."
The leader could nearly feel the glare on the other. He could only cross his arms, stopping himself from curling in on himself. Falling back into old habits wouldn't help anyone.
"Hey! I'm saving the world, right?" The slider tried to stop himself from sounding accusatory, but it came out targeted anyway, "Fixing my mistakes, making the right sacrifices, being a hero?"
"Listen to me-"
"We're doing better now than we were before; who cares if it takes a few all-nighters-"
"Leo-"
"I'm getting results!"
"Raph just wants his brother back!"
His vision blurred even more, cold streaks going down his face as the weight of those words sunk in. No, they didn't sink; Raph threw those words like bricks and Leo could only shatter like glass.
"You're the only one we barely see."
Leo let himself curl into a ball, holding his knees up to his plastron. He wanted to feel like a child again, but that wasn't what he deserved.
"Always busy talking to other members, never letting the rest of us help with Casey, always throwing yourself headfirst into danger when someone else was at risk," Raph muttered that last part, and Leo sunk his head into his shell, "You may be the leader, but Raph's still the oldest. I want to know what's going on with you."
It took a moment for Leo to construct a word, let alone the sentence. He made an attempt at speech, only for it to come out a defeated chirp.
Raph must've made a face, even if Leo could barely see it. He first heard the click of a door closing shut, then the softness of fabric against his wet eyes and cheeks. "Raph's sorry for yelling."
"Chhrrr..." (It was deserved.)
Raph didn't understand. Maybe much to Leo's benefit. "But please just listen to Raph for once... I won't leave you alone, none of us will. We're in this together, 'kay?"
"Erp..." (No promises.)
A pause.
"Can Raph hug you?" Leo paused, but nodded. He leaned forward and fell into a familiar embrace. Unconsciously, he found himself sinking into the warmth the other provided, melting like a cat in a container.
Strong, secure, safe, even when the apocalypse outside raged on. For once, he'll allow himself this one comfort.
GAH-
You...you can't do this to me okay???
THIS IS CANON NOW OKAY YEAH THIS HAPPENED-
I couldn't stop myself...
It...it was just too vivid in my mind 🥲

@tmnt-secret-santa-2024 @bluefeather-tmnt
Hehe hello hello, my dear giftee!<3 Happy holidays, I hope you enjoy your gift and I hope your day turns out wonderful! Have an absolutely amazing day my friend!
"Tomatoes, Doritos, and-... what do you mean slow down?"
"-tomatoes, we're out of tomatoes-!"
"-Dad said he wants a party-sized sweet chili Doritos this time, should we be worried-?"
"I don't see any vegetables on the list-"
"That's boring Leo!"
The oldest cringed, making a face the other three turtles behind him couldn't see. He stood in front of an open fridge, which was currently lacking... everything, really. Ugh. They hadn't gone to the surface for a good while, being on school break and all, they desperately needed to go 'shopping' again.
Thus the current chaos.
"I want gummy bears!"
"And get them stuck in your braces again?" Donnie asked, but still wrote down the request on his list anyway. "Because I'm not helping you this time."
Mikey huffed and crossed his arms.
Leo shook his head.
"...We need mushrooms-" He weakly tried, but was cut off by the youngest once again.
"I am not cooking that."
"You don't have to-"
"You are not setting foot in my kitchen either." A threatening glare was shot his way. Leo awkwardly looked towards the genius for help, and cleared his throat. Should he just give up? Or perhaps go out alone-
"You are not adding another pack of instant coffee." The leader spoke before he could stop himself. Donnie blankly looked up. And blinked.
Leo just placed his hands on his hips with narrowed eyes.
"..." Grumbling, the younger scribbled through the item with a sharpie.
"Dad wants us to get instant ramen!" Raph let his presence be known as he walked inside, still shouting for reasons Leo couldn't understand. "The cheese one!"
"I could just make him a better-tasting one..." Mikey grumbled, crossing his arms. "He doesn't even add the flavoring."
"He's old," Raph patted his head, while looking over his purple brother's shoulder to check the list. "You forgot the Monster Energy."
"You don't even like Monster." Donnie, unimpressed, looked up again slowly. "You just drink it because it has 'Monster' in the name."
"I do not-"
"We're out of eggs?" Leo hesitantly tried again, but was ignored once more. Maybe he should just make his own list? He didn't trust Donnie's anymore.
Oh, but he didn't have the time to start all over again, the delivery trucks would arrive at the stores soon enough. They would need to act fast once those arrived so Leo did not have the time to start with listing everything from scratch.
But Donnie must have added at least half of what he said, right-?
Without asking, he plucked the list from Donnie's hands, ignoring the protests behind him as he turned to the fridge again. He quickly skimmed over the notes, then plucked the pencil out of his hands too.
"Leo!"
"We're not getting more ice cream we have enough of that." Leo scolded, scratching that out. Okay, he couldn't find any milk- which. Mikey... might have banned them from getting milk after-... everything. But Leo wanted cereal so oh well. He added it to the list. What else, what else...
All four of their phones started ringing at once, but Leo, too focused on his task, did not bother to try and pick up his phone. That was, until Raph announced.
"April is calling."
"April?" He turned around so fast with huge eyes, if it had been any of his brothers doing that it would have been funny. His cheeks reddened just the tiniest bit when all three of them looked at him with those stupid grins, and he turned back at once. "I mean. Yeah. Sure. Pick up, I guess." He muttered, trying to appear nonchalant by leaning on the fridge door- only for said door to swing away, causing the turtle to lose his balance and almost fell. He managed to catch himself by holding onto the edge of the fridge for dear life.
Raph snorted while Donnie covered his mouth, shaking his head to the side. "You sure you didn't want April to see that?"
Leo would absolutely not face him.
Mikey giggled while accepting the call, grinning up into the camera when April's face appeared. "Hi April!"
April, seemingly unfazed by how close the camera was to Mikey's face, grinned back and waved. "Heeeey-" she started, clearly awkward, before frowning. "Sorry to- ahm, interrupt? When you didn't call earlier I wanted to see if you dudes are okay!"
Their friend was just so nice!
"Oh, we're fine." Raph huffed before narrowing his eyes and crossing his arms. From the tone I his voice, though, Leo could tell he was smiling. "If Nardo over here would have stopped stressing over our grocery list, we would have been done ages ago!"
Hey now that's not- "It helps that we're prepared." Leo tried- but already could tell no one was listening to him.
"Grocery list?" April asked, sounding confused. She put her phone down on her table, then turned around and opened her wardrobe. "Why would you need that now ready? Store doesn't open until eight."
"Exactly." Donnie shrugged, quickly looking into the notes on his phone. 'We have about... twenty-seven more minutes until the delivery trucks arrive, which would give us an hour to get our groceries-"
"Half an hour?!" That seemed to make Leo snap out of it and panic, closing the fridge at once. "It takes us half an hour to get there- we gotta go!"
"Oh, come on." Raph threw his head back in annoyance. But still, he complied, getting up.
"Sorry April, we gotta go!" Mikey cheerfully waved- but just before he could end the call, April spoke up.
"Why don't you just go during the day tomorrow? Would be a lot easier..."
"Because then humans would see us." Mikey's smile went away to make way for a frown. "Duh."
"But..." April turned around to face them again. "You guys can go out in the open now."
"And?"
...
It took a minute.
April stared at them, unimpressed and just the tiniest bit disappointed at how long it was taking to land- however, after a painfully long minute, Donnie's eyes finally lit up.
"...We can go out into the open." He repeated in awe- Leo was pretty sure that if stars could appear into his eyes, they would have.
"Yeah?"
One beat.
Two beats.
Three.
But then the realization finally settled.
And the remaining three froze.
Right, they,,, they could go into public now. Shell, they went to school. They'd gone to both vets and doctors too. They were allowed to go out into the open.
Stores were part of the open.
"...Yeah, why are we trying to sneak in the middle of the night?!" Raph asked, voice pitching higher as he dramatically sat down again, clearly excited by the idea. "We can go out during the day!"
"Through a door!" Mikey added, actually bouncing up and down in place while his hands flapped in front of him.
"Without trying to force open containers!" Donnie finished, adjusting his glasses-
"Absolutely not." Leo cut through their excited rambling with a serious expression- ignoring the shock and heartbreak on his brother's faces.
"Hey, what-?"
"You don't get to just decide that!" His hotheaded brother claimed, smile completely gone as he glared daggers at him. Leo cleared his throat again.
"As the leader, I can and I just did. Let's go-"
"Leeeooooo." All three complained, getting up when Leo turned his shell towards them all. "You can't just decide for us!" The genius huffed, putting his phone down. Mikey still held onto his with April on the line, who just looked awkward now.
"We wanna go during the day! We can do that, now!"
"Come ooon, you know you wanna go-" having had enough, Raph got up from his seat and quickly stepped forward to glare Leo in the eyes- but stopped when he got a look at his face.
Leo looked... insecure. Worried. He was hugging himself, finger tapping against his arm over and over again in a steady rhythm with his gaze cast down, clearly thinking (probably overthinking) about something.
Raph blinked. "...Leo?"
"It's dangerous." The leader's expression was stoic- oh. Now Raph recognized that look. Fear.
Judging from Raph's expression the youngest two got the hint, getting into Leo's field of vision. Gently smiling, Mikey passed the phone into Donnie's hands so he could hold Leo's. "We've always wanted this, Leo! What's the worst that could happen?"
A lot, judging from Leo's face. Still, he squeezed back. "...Human's can be mean." He weakly tried.
"Then we'll he meaner!"
"No."
"The meanest!'
Raph looked a bit too excited by that idea. Donnie, without looking away, took a step back.
"We can ask April to join?" Donnie suggested, looking at the phone questionably. The human nodded excitedly, balling her fists in front of her face.
"Of course, always! I need to go shopping anyway."
"..." The oldest's gaze traveled to the phone. Next, he looked at each of his siblings, one by one, who looked at him expectedly.
In the end, he sighed in defeat.
"...We're making a plan."
The others immediately cheered.
~~~~~
It always felt weird to just... walk in the open.
Don't get him wrong, they'd done so a handful of times- like every day when they went to school at the crack of dawn, so early no one ever saw them!
But... still. It always felt wrong.
Leo itched for walls. For dark, the familiar dripping sound of water, the smell. Unpleasant, maybe, but what he was used to. The lack of walls and the blinding light always made him feel vulnerable and exposed. Anyone could strike at any given moment (logically, Leo knew no one would but hey, he'd lived with that fear for years) and it was so crowded too.
"Aren't those the turtles?!"
"Ohmigosh ohmigosh, it's them!"
"I love you Raphael!"
At least the attention was positive.
Mikey seemed to thrive with all the happy energy, happily running and spinning around and bouncing from one corner to the next- but then again, the youngest had always been very much a people person. Leo was glad he finally had the attention he'd craved-
"Aren't you the leader?" A sudden voice from behind made the one in blue help and sharply turn around, but relaxed when he saw it was just another human. They appeared to be the same age April was, clearly excited to be talking with him. "You are so cool, dude!"
Okay. Okay. Stay cool, Leo. Someone is excited to see you. Be cool. Respond like a normal person. You got this.
"Ahm... I, uh- thank you-?"
What was that.
"I-I mean!" Leo's smile widened in a way that seemed painful as he perked up, squeezing his hands together to try and get the tension out. "You seem cool too, uhm- dude-?"
Aaaaand that was his cue to stop talking please.
Luckily, Raph seemed to have noticed and took pity on him, abruptly grabbing his older brother by his shoulders and pulling him away. Whatever he shouted to the stranger was lost to him, as the leader was just relieved to shut his mouth. Still, he mouthed a quick thank you, which earned him a squeeze.
"How much longer, Don?" Raph asked without letting go, leaning a bit more over Leo's shoulder to get a look at the genius. Donnie adjusted his glasses again as he narrowed his eyes, pulling his phone screen closer to his face. Hey, they'd never taken a normal route before leave them alone.
"...I think Google Maps is glitching." The genius frowned. "It says we're under water now."
The hothead grumbled. Leo looked worried.
"So we're lost now?"
"I didn't say that."
"Do you know where we are?"
"...." The face Donnie made was enough. Ugh.
At least Mikey seemed to be having a good time.
The youngest flung himself against Donnie without any warning, earning a yelp followed by giggles. Donnie snickered, wrapping his free arm around the other's shell. "Hey, Mikey."
"Everyone is so nice!" Mikey gushed, letting go to be able to bounce on his heels again, starry-eyed. Next, he looked around. "Are we close?"
"Uhm..."
...
Mikey, being the very smart turtle he was, had the best solution ever.
"Heeey ma'am!" He called out to the first person he saw, completely ignoring his brother's bewilderd looks and protests. Donnie froze while Leo immediately freaked out- and Raph laughed. Because of course he did. Leo's misery must he hilarious to him.
...Okay, that's not the correct emotion. Leo was having fun. Nervous, yes, but fun. They were outside! In the sun!! Which felt so so nice on his skin, warming him up in ways he hadn't even known were possible. It made him feel kind of tired already without having even done anything- huh.
Luckily, the poor woman Mikey had chosen seemed to know the way, kindly pointing it out. After thanking her a thousand times, Mikey started running again. "Come on!!!"
"Mikey-!"
"You heard him." Raph, who started pulling Leo with him against his will, followed the one ahead. Donnie, with similar excitement, followed.
"...Does he even know where he's going?"
The clear answer was no, considering Mikey wasn't even looking. Luckily, Donnie had listened too.
-------------
"..."
'So. What do we do?"
"I think we just go inside. And grab stuff."
Turns out, the turtles had walked past the store ten minutes earlier- then walked past it again when chasing the youngest. Donnie had managed to drag them the correct way... but now what?
The four turtles stood in front of the store entrance, looking at it with awe- which was probably weird to anyone else, it was a grocery store- but hey the building looked different during the day, how were they supposed to recognize it?!
"Grab stuff of the isles?" The idea sounded strange, even more so when Leo said it out loud. The leader cringed, then gulped. "Without hiding?"
"Without hiding!" Mikey cheered- but his energy had toned down when the store had come into view, the usually-energetic turtle suddenly growing unsure and quiet. Guess it hadn't actually dawned on him until it was too late.
"And we can take our time, too." Donnie spoke, pocketing his phone finally. "The site says they're open until nine."
"What is the security for?" Raph narrowed his eyes, suddenly untrusting- because why would a supposedly safe place have security? They were never there at night!
"Security-? Okay, that's it we're going home-"
"That's normal!" The one in orange grabbed Leo's arm before he could run away. "Stop looking for excuses, we got this!"
"Do we?" The genius deadpanned, looking at the oldest two with disappointment. Leo's nerves seemed to have infected the sais-wielder too, arms stiff and hands itching at his sides, gaze focused on the security-personal. "Raph, that's normal."
"I'm gonna call April!" Mikey happily ignored them once again, stepping away to be able to talk with their friend.
"..." Donnie sighed, stepping in front of Raph's field of vision so he couldn't look at the entrance anymore. "Raph, please- Leo's already freaking out I can't have you freaking out too."
...Oh Donnie sounded a bit unsure now too. Oh no.
"I'm calm." He very much wasn't, but his brothers didn't need to know that. Leo managed to smile one of his awkward smiles- he even met the genius' eyes. "I'm just... nervous. I'll be fine."
His younger brother smiled back, a small twinkle in his eyes making Leo's heart warm- he knew Donnie was just as excited as Mikey was, he was just a lot calmer about it. A gentle tidal wave compared to the youngest's bright light.
If Mikey was a bright light, Raph was a raging flame- the hothead was a bit too quiet. Leo tapped his shoulder to snap him out of it. "Raph?"
"Can we go inside already?" Raph complained, as if he hadn't been frozen solid earlier- huh. "The sun is getting annoying."
"Just waiting on Mikey and April-"
"I found her!!"
...speak of the devil.
The three turned around- Leo could feel himself relax at the sight of their human friend, because at least she should know what they were doing. She'd also been there the first day of school- April knew a lot. So hopefully they wouldn't look like total fools in there!
"Mikey said you were all panicking?" April didn't bother to greet them- she just sounded amused, her voice having a teasing tone to it. Leo looked away at once, cheeks heating up as Donnie answered for them, unbothered.
"Nardo was."
"Leon."
"When isn't he panicking?" Raph snickered, nudging his shoulder- but the leader wasn't having it. Without any amusement, he just looked down with a deadpan expression-
"You were eyeing the security guards a second ago."
"I have no idea what you're talking about-"
"Can we go already?" Mikey whined, using April as a weight to hold him up as he threw himself back, standing on his heels. "We could have been inside already!"
"There's air-conditioning in there?" The human patted his hands. Mikey's eyes lit up.
"Then what are we waiting for? Let's go!!"
"Mikey-!"
April was laughing as the youngest pulled her along, quickly turning her head towards the other three. "Well? Come on!"
...
Come on. You got this.
Leo braced himself by taking a deep breath in and out- before he squeezed his eyes shut tightly, bit his lip- okay, okay... one... two-
Raph grabbed his hands again, dragging the leader with him before the oldest could finish his count. Leo protested- but quickly shut up when he saw the look on Raph's face.
Excited, but clearly trying to hide it with a stoic expression. The was he cut off the blood circulation in Leo's wrist told him he was also nervous.
"..." He sighed, and shook his head.
Finally, they stepped inside.
--------------------------------
To anyone else, a store was just... a store. Somewhere that was available almost all the time, that there were different kinds off, that anyone could enter and everyone would mind their own business. Stores were everywhere, no matter the kind.
To the four turtles, stores were a luxury.
Going outside was a luxury.
Heck, it sometimes still felt wrong whenever they just- stepped outside. In the open. Under the sun. Without hiding.
And now they got to enter a store?
The four stood frozen for a moment, taking in their surroundings. They'd been here plenty of times, but... never during the day. Never without hiding. Never without being on their guard, ready to fight, to blend with the shadows, to-
You got it.
April gave them a minute to process, shooing away anyone else who tried to get near for a picture or autograph or what not. Hm. Leo had forgotten about that. Then again, he also forgot stores weren't usually empty. Ugh. Now his plan to split for effectiveness was useless, there was no way he would let them-
"The fairylights are so pretty!!" Mikey squealed, clasping his hands together. He was the first to snap out of their trance, excitement seemingly having doubled ten-fold. April laughed, then patted his shell.
"Yeah, they are. I think they put them up yesterday for the holidays."
"Can we get fairylights?" The youngest turned to the oldest with those puppy eyes he was so famous for- and Leo, unfortunately, was weak to. Oh well. He wasn't asking for anything bad sooo....
"Sure we can."
Mikey cheered, grabbed April's hand- "Let's go!" Ignored any protest as he dragged her along this time. What was it with everyone getting dragged today?
"Hey, wait up!" Raph laughed, running after them- only to almost immediately run into a little girl he had completely missed. Quickly apologizing, he ran off.
Leo blinked, before groaning. "Are you going to run off too?" He asked, both amused as well as annoyed. He might as well not have planned, nothing was happening as it should!
...Instead, he was surprised when his little brother took hold of his arm, and gently pushed his cheek against Leo's shoulder. That... was troubling. "Donnie?"
"There's more people than I thought..." The genius mumbled, his eyes darting across the space before focusing on his feet again. "It's weird."
Well. That was something Leo could definitely agree with. Without looking away from the crowd, he rested a gentle hand on top of the one clutching his bicep.
Those were... a lot of eyes. It felt more suffocating than usual, but Leo blamed that on the walls. Walls.
His eyes twinkled, a childish grin starting to grow on his face. "We're in a store."
"I'm aware." Donnie whispered back, looking up with those big eyes of his. At seeing Leo's face, he couldn't help but respond with a soft smile. "I thought you didn't want to go to a store Leo?"
"Hush." Let him enjoy this before the nerves took over again, Donnie.
Thankfully, no teasing followed- and in a moment of bravery, Leo gently pulled the younger forward. "I think those are the vegetables.... should we start there?"
Ew.
At the face Donnie made, Leo huffed, rolled his eyes, and pulled him forward. "We need it."
If anyone should know, it would be Donnie. At least. Leo thought it would be Donnie. He was proven correct when the one in purple followed him without argument.
Okay, follow your list Leo... he could see all the other greens they were missing at home, but his mind wouldn’t let him grab any of those until he found the tomatoes- which had been the top. So... where are they.... hm...
While the leader was looking around, the younger noticed the mist sprinklers that hung all over the vegetables. He blinked- had those always been there? He never noticed them when 'shopping'. But then again, it was always dark and he never let his feet touch the ground- so maybe he didn't notice before?
The genius held a hand forward- and squealed when the mist hit his fingertips. Leo giggled, covering his mouth with a hand. "Don?"
"I never saw these during the night!" Donnie flopped out without thinking- squeaking and turning red when that sentence made multiple eyes turn on him. He covered his mouth while lowering his head. "I mean. Uhm. Online. When. Uhm..."
...
Leo laughed sympathetically when Donnie buried his head into his shoulder again. He wrapped one arm around the turtle, letting a hand pat his shell- when he spotted a smidge of red from the corner of his eye.
Tomatoes! Finally!
...
Why were they next to the apples-?
-------------------------------
Mikey was ecstatic.
And that might be an understatement.
Hey, to anyone else it might be boring, nerve-wracking or frustrating, but Mikey was born to he social. He was born to entertain, to create, to talk, talk, talk. And his family, who all existed out of introverts, obviously got sick it after a while.
Even little Mikey, who'd always yearned for the outside world. Don't get him wrong, they all did- but he was pretty sure Leo could also do without, Donnie was content with his online friends and Raph was-... Raph. And although he saw the way his older brother's became happier when they started school- none had been as excited as Michelangelo had been.
They got to be normal.
How cool was that?!
"Oof!" The youngest snapped out of his daydream when Raphael pushed the cart he was sitting in against a wall, jostling the turtle in the process. They'd both completely forgotten about store carts, Mikey had always wanted to sit in one! And although Raph had been clearly happy to push the cart while running in the isles, April had warned them against it- apparently they couldn't run? They had to be slow?
It felt weird. Against his nature. New.
"Earth to Mikey." Raph flicked the back of his head, smirking when the youngest responded with an offended "hey!" He turned back to look for April- had they lost her again? He hadn't even run that much this time! Ugh. "Do you see April?"
"Wasn't she going to grab bread?" Mikey leaned over the cart, letting his arms dangle over the edge. After a bit of thought, he added. "...We also need bread."
"Than that's where we're going." Raph declared, full of confidence-
...
Where is the bread isle?
...
Where were they actually-?
A quick look around- fish, chicken- cheese? That... was an odd combination. "Uhm... where is the bread isle?"
"Didn't April call it the bakery?" Mikey sat straighter, squinting his eyes to try and see- but nope. "Uhm... maybe we can just stay here? I think we needed cheese anyway."
"Cheese it is!" Mikey squealed when Raph started running, grinning like a maniac and ignoring any odd looks send their way. Mikey almost fell backward in the cart, but managed to grab onto the edges.
"Raph! Slow down!" He laughed- he actually didn't want the older to slow down, but April said they couldn't, sooo-
Raph, to his credit, did no such thing. He kept running, missing the cheese section by a mile- which is how they'd ended up finding the bakery on accident.
The sais-wielder dug with his heels into the floor to stop, panting from the adrenaline- the snickers let Mikey know he didn't have to worry. Instead, he propped himself up on his knees and pushed himself up by leaning his full weight into his hands- aaaaaand almost fell over. Yay!
Raphael held onto the cart before he could topple over, actually laughing this time at the face the younger made. Michelangelo huffed, looked away- his annoyance evaporating as soon as he spotted their human friend. "There she is! April!!!"
The human yelped, and dropped the loaf of bread she had just been grabbing.
...Whoops.
...
Oh well.
"Hey April!" Raph pushed slower this time, gently making the cart bump against April's side. She shot him an unimpressed look and raised an eyebrow- but failed to keep a straight face, and cracked a smile.
"I thought I told you two to wait?"
"You did?"
She sighed, and shook her head. When April bent down to grab the item she dropped, Mikey quickly reached over her to grab a loaf too. Happily putting it next to him in the cart.
"What are those?" Meanwhile, Raph's attention had been taken by the oven. April hummed.
"The bakery. That's where they put the fresh croissaints and stuff." She stopped before she could say anythint else in favor of grabbing her phone, looking pleased when seeing the time. "Want some? They should be warm still."
"Can we get some for Lee and Dee too?" Mikey was already reaching for them, but April gently shooed his hand away. Instead, she grabbed a plastic bag from a rack as well as a... fork-thing? That was attached to the compartment the bakers put the baked goods in.
"Sure." She shrugged, putting five in the bag. After a bit of thought, she added. "They have a chocolate version if you want that instead?"
Obviously, Mikey had been about to say yes. But then Raph pushed him down to sit and shook his head.
While the youngest was grumbling April dropped the bag into the cart, the plastic radiating a pleasant heat onto Mikey's knee. So they were warm! That made him feel strangely happy, for whatever reason.
"That actually reminds me..." Aprjl started, grabbing the end of the cart to drag them bot along, back to the cheese. "How are you guys going to pay for everything?"
"With money? Duh."
"...You have money?"
"You thought we were poor?"
April panicked at the offended looks the two gave- but froze when the two snickered. Mikey was the first to break, unable to hold onto the serious expression for long.
"Tiktok."
"...Tiktok?"
"Tiktok." Raph confirmed, quickly pulling up the app- wow those were a lot of followers. "Apparently humans pay to see us?"
"Isn't that cool!?"
"...That just sounds like a zoo."
"I'm going to ignore you just said that."
-------------------------------
Vegetables done, got dad's ramen, so that left... sweets!
Leo was happily humming to himself while browsing- he loved how organized everything was here! It was always so messy and chaotic during the night- it was nice to be able to take his time.
"Leo." A tap on his shoulder made him turn around, squinting his eyes when a camera flashed. The turtle blinked, trying to get rid of the stars. Donnie paid him no mind, focused on his phone again.
"Dad wanted a picture."
"I know you know how to turn the flash off, Tello."
An innocent grin was the only response he got. After sending the image, Donnie focused on his older brother again. "So... now what?"
"If Mikey and Raph got what I told them to... sweets is all that's left." Leo hummed, looking around. Sweets would be close to the sodas, right? It made sense in his mind, both were sugar-based items. And he saw a sign that said soda was the very last isle... so sweets should be near. "Follow me." He said, focused on the board. The basket the two had found on the floor had a broken wheel, but that didn't stop Leo from dragging it around. "I know Dad wanted Doritos... do you want anything?"
"Gum?" Donnie wondered out- more a question than a true statement. He wasn't sure if the gum would be there, but it made sense. Maybe he would crave something when he saw the options, who know-
He stopped.
As someone who's favorite color was purple, as soon as Donnie saw purple, he just had to look at it. That's just how it worked. Not his fault it was absolutely the best color ever and dominated everything else.
What he'd spotted seemed to be a stand. It stood out of place, right between two isles, lonely and its items fitting neither of the categories of food that the other isles presented. Donnie held the edge of his glasses to gently lift them.
Stepping forward revealed that perhaps it didn't fit because the stand didn't hold food at all. Instead, it held-
Donnie's eyes widened with awe, mouth forming a little 'o' when his mind finally processed all the space-themed items presented to him. Plastic astronaut figures, cheap glow-in-the-dark star stickers, was that a planet squishy-?
The genius was walking forward before even being aware of it, grabbing the first thing he saw slowly- a small star-plush.
He knew some stores ended up selling some small toys, especially around the holidays- but space?!
"Donnie?" He snapped out of it at the sound of his name, immediately hiding the little plush behind him in an attempt to make it look like he hadn't been looking at a toy- but much to his horror, when he squeezed, a horrible peep sound seemed to echo throughout the entire section.
"I wasn't looking at toys." He said too quickly, cringing at himself- seriously? Ugh. Well, at least it was Leo who saw him- the oldest wouldn’t be too mean about it. Probably. Hopefully.
But to his surprise... Leo's confusion soon turned into amazement when he saw the pictures decorating the stand.
"Space?" He breathed, a smile growing on his face. Donnie was surprised... but pleasantly so. Allowing himself to relax as he nodded.
Relaxing made him release the pressure in his hands, fingers brushing against the pleasant-feeling fabric of the toy in his hands. Donnie looked down at it, letting his thumb brush over the fabric again. It felt... really nice actually.
"...Can I... uhm." He looked away, suddenly shy- and held up the star. Leo's expression softened as he nodded, bushing the basket forward so Donnie could put it in. His little brother quickly smiled again, albeit softer than before as he bent down.
The stand had many cool things actually- the glow-in-the-dark stars caught Leo's eye. Without thinking about it, he reached for them. "Wouldn't these look cool in your tent?" He asked, throwing them into his basket without waiting for an answer.
"..." His little brother only responded by taking a hold of his arm today. Good.
Smiling, they started walking again- pleased when seeing that yes, the sweets were very close to the sodas. He thought right!
Small victories.
So first was Doritos... which. Although Leo found them quickly... they were way too high for him to reach. He cringed. There was no way he was climbing the isle, the shelf seemed unstable. So that left-
Asking someone.
Uh oh.
His body went rigid, nervous all over again- oh well. Living without his constant paranoia had been nice while it lasted. Now what? Did he just. Ask someone?
No, no, that's what workers are for. You ask someone. Who works.
But there was no one who works, so how else could he ask?
"I could get on your shoulders?" Donnie offered once he saw the problem, but the oldest shook his head.
"Leo!! Donnie!!!" A flash of green, orange and red zipped right past them- coming to a halt not even a second later, further away. Raph was struggling to catch his breath while Mikey grinned, sitting in the middle of a... cart? Where did they even get that? Surrounded by groceries.
So they'd gotten what Leo asked. Good.
"We found a cart!"
"I told you two to-" They heard April gasp from further away, her head poking out when she leaned forward to catch her breath. "-to stop running!"
"But it's fun!" The hothead wheezed, managing to wink. That... was odd. Running around with a cart shouldn't tire him out that much.
Immediately worried, Leo reached out to touch his forehead. If anything, Raph felt cold. But why- ooohhh.
His eyes fell on the air conditioning in the ceiling. Then, he touched his own forehead.
Ah.
Nevermind, Leo could keep his worry to himself for just a bit longer.
He didn't notice that while he was busy fretting over Raph, Mikey had gotten out of the cart to help their genius brother. So, when he finally zoned back into the present-
"Oh my shell."
He flopped out before he could stop it.
Much to his dismay, the youngest had climbed on top of Donnie's shoulders instead- which. Really? Couldn't they at least have gone with Raph? Donnie was too skinny for such things, Raph at least had the bulk to stay stable-
"We got this!" Mikey cheered, moving around way too much for Leo's liking. Donnie looked unstable, as if he could fall over any minute. The only reason he hadn't yet was because the one in orange was now holding onto the edge of the isle. "Which one again."
"Sweet Chili this time."
"Be careful!"
Leo's warning was ignored when Mikey pushed himself forward as much as possible- cheering and letting go when he managed to grab a bag that was far in the back.
Unfortunately, this action finally caused Donatello to lose his balance. He tried to stay upright, taking multiple steps back and doing his best to not fall- but in the end, he ended up falling backwards anyway.
Leo lunged for Mikey before he could even think.
The three yelled, ending up as a tangle of limbs on the floor with Leo at the bottom, Mikey in the middle and Donnie on the top. The three groaned, unmoving for a moment.
"Ohmigosh-" April gasped, running over to help Donnie up first. "Why- I could have found a worker!" She scolded- but really, you would need to be deaf to miss the worry in her voice.
"What are you staring at?!" That was undoubtedly Raph shooing someone away, which Leo was greatful for. The oldest was too stunned to move for a moment... until Mikey finally broke the silence.
"The chips are still in one piece?"
Leo made no comment as he rolled his eyes, sat up, and gently tried to get the youngest off. "No one hurt?"
"Nope!"
"Me neither." Donnie confirmed. Pleased, Leo got up properly.
Mikey very delicately put the chips in his and Raph's probably stolen cart, then immediately reached out for some chocolate chip cookies. "Was that everything?"
"I think so." Leo mentally listed up everything they needed. "Did you get the cheese and-"
"Everything is in there." Raph pointed at their cart. After a moment, he made up his mind. "I want soda."
"That's the next aisle- right?" He quickly turned to April to confirm, who nodded. "I could show you?"
"Great!" Oh- aand he was being dragged again. Great. Wonderful. Why did he keep being dragged? "I can walk on my own, you know."
"I rather you not freeze seven more times, Fearless." Raph pushed himself against the older one, snickering when he was shoved away. Thankfully, finding Raph's favorite drink didn't take as long as everything else had- they managed to return quickly to the three left behind.
The cart was much fuller than it had been before they left- piled to the brim with all kinds of chips, chocolate, cookies and sweets. Raising an eyebrow, Leo just looked at the two youngest. The duo attempted to look innocent- and failed so badly even Leo could tell what they were actually feeling.
...Oh what the heck. He sighed again. "Do you need anything else, April?"
"I only needed the bread." The human's eyes seemed to be glued to the cart, clearly waiting for Leo to say something- but when he didn't, she seemed to let it go. "Would you guys rather self-checkout or-"
"Yes please." Leo answered before she could offer the other. Don't get him wrong, he was having fun, but his social battery was done.
"Then we go left." This time, it was Mikey who took a hold of the cart before Raph could, giggling as he ran forward with it. Donnie snapped a picture when Mikey looked away, snickering.
"Do you guys have any bags with you?" April asked. Raph nodded, pulling out one from his pouch. A plastic one, much to her dismay.
"...That's going to rip- Mikey slow down!"
"But it's fun!" Still, the turtle stopped running, waiting for his family to catch up. "It's all fun."
It had been fun, Leo had to agree. Even the checkout, where he got to scan every item one by one while the others bagged everything. Sure, they got some odd looks, and yeah, Leo panicked when he couldn't shove the paper money into the machine- but all good!
Today had been good.
"Mikey- the croissants."
"Oh! Right!" Ths turtle perked up, quickly digging through his bag to find the packaging.
They all ended up carrying one bag each- it would have been double the amount if Raph hadn't shoved everything with force. The vegetables and fruits were probably crushed now- but that wasn't Leo's problem.
A now-flat croissant was handed to him- and although Leo could tell that wasn't how it was supposed to look, he smiled, thanked his brother, and took a bite.
He could deal with getting lost, making grocery lists and shopping- happily, even. He was not dealing with the sticky fingers he was sure to get from the crushed oranges.n
The story of the droplets: Chapter 5 - In the house when we're little.
In a Quiet City.
Everyone was relaxing near the closed cafe, including those rescued from the Biotem Desert. The city itself had already been cleared.
Haoyu's Mother: I am very glad that my son and his friends are all right. It's just that it's very hot inside the pyramid now, and before it wasn't.
Leo: We did a good job.
Emma: Thanks to your music, Leo. (To the others) By the way, do you know anything about the new ruler?
Tornado Wolf: He never left the kingdom, but he was dressed in purple and had black tentacles.
Aero Acrobat: When we were about to escape from him, he ordered us all to be put in cages. For wanting to escape.
Air Cat: As for Balan, we don't know where he went. Either he's been kidnapped, or he's probably here somewhere but hidden.
Cal: And as for the fact that the negatives were made here, they followed the orders of the ruler himself.
Leo: What's his name?
Eis:(Shakes his head) No one knows. We all just called him the new ruler.
Leo: Something is not clean here... He's obviously hiding it on purpose so that we're all confused and follow his orders.
Emma: And I also realized that he hates how good and beautiful everything looks here. He hates it.
Cass: He didn't even like how we lived too well. Even those who quarreled who reconciled are not happy.
Leo: Did he always use drops only?
Jose: Meaning that yes, but in some moments there are still some forces.
Leo: It's clear, we need to sort this out somehow.
Bruce: Yes, but you have to free more of our friends first. I saw them somewhere in one of the houses in this city.
Emma: All right, we'll find the right house and vacate it.
Haoyu: Yes, but the negatives used my Acrobat invention with Aero to shrink them and put them in small cages.
Iben: And if we talk about the house, I remember that it is blue, two-storied, with drawings of sakura flowers with a white door and a burgundy roof.
Yuri: It is located somewhere... near-
Girl's voice: Lake. My house is near the lake.
They turned around and saw a crimson lioness with purple hair approaching them. She had a light yellow bow on her head and she has brown eyes. She was wearing a pink sweatshirt, a brown skirt, white socks and brown shoes.
Cass and Yuri:(Happy) Alina!
Two girls approached the teenage lioness hugging her.
Cass: How are you there?
Alina: I tried to call from other places, but a huge crowd wouldn't let me and I hid.
Jose: Don't get upset about this, Leo and Emma, our new friends in our city, were freeing us.
Emma: Now we're going to your cabin, where the rest of your friends are.
Alina: I am happy to accompany you and thank you so much for saving our city Balancetopia. But I wonder if the invention of Haoyu and Aero Acrobat will be intact. Because I think they couldn't just hide it.
Haoyu: We'll try to look for it.
Aero Acrobat: If only the ruler didn't have it.
They came near Alina's house. Alina opened it and looked at it carefully.
Alina: Who would think of hiding our friends in my house? I'm not harmful, it just sounds weird.
Cal: It will obviously be difficult for us to find them.
The pink lioness entered her house and noticed that the door leading to the pantry was slightly open. The room was decorated with green wallpaper with drawings of the forest. One room had a kitchen and a living room. The living room had a white sofa, an ordinary table and two cabinets, one for books, and the other for a TV with set-top boxes.
Three voices: Alina!
She looked down and saw that there was a cage with three creatures under the locker. One was a chameleon, the other was a turtle and the third was a redhead obliged with glasses. She took the cage and noticed a small lock.
Alina: It's not easy to free you here.
X-Ray Ape: I also strongly advise you to be careful with intelligent rats...
Alina heard the sound of knives waving and was startled to see an angry rat with purple eyes holding a knife heading at her.
Alina: Seriously?!
Then they were surrounded by several rats who were forced to put the cage in its place, and she did it, and immediately ran away screaming hiding behind friends.
Iben: What's there?
Alina: There the rats threatened me with knives and their eyes were purple. (To Leo and Emma) If anything, I'm not really afraid of rats and mice.
Haoyu: Here!
They saw the engineering boys carrying the mechanism itself to shrink. He was with another blue platform and two yellow rays.
Leo: Where did you find it?
Haoyu: They were stored in one of the houses near the road to the kingdom.
Aero Acrobat: They are specially stored so that they can be used later.
Haoyu: We managed to get it unnoticed when the negatives were guarding it. Now let's get started.
Aero Acrobat: Just stand on it. (Leo, Emma, Tim and Rosie stood on the platform) Including (Pressed the button).
The lasers aimed at Leo, Emma, Tim and Rosie, and they shrank to the size of a pinky finger. Alina took them and put them on the floor of her house. The four were surprised when they were little for the first time.
Alina: Perhaps start with our friends in the TV closet, they are locked. Obviously, everyone will have it. I'll go with you, because I need to climb somewhere. But I have to pretend to be an enemy if the rats see.
Leo and Emma:(Nod) Good.
She closed the door while the others on the street looked at each other.
Jose: Well, while they're freeing up, we have time to rebuild something.
In a Alina's house.
Leo, Emma and tims were surprised when they became little. It was strange and dangerous for them, but interesting. When they saw the TV cabinet, they came up and saw a cage with three creatures in the closet.
Emma: Here they are.
They approached the cage before the creatures noticed them.
Lickshot Lizard: Oh! hello!
Slow Tortoise: Are you new here?
Leo: Yes, we have come to save you.
Emma: But Alina also helps us if we need something.
X-ray Ape: The negatives very cunningly hid the little keys. The most cunning key is enchanted from the TV if you pass at least one level.
Leo: Great: What kind of game?
Slow Tortoise: A maze with a bear that goes to rescue people because of the evil power.
Emma: Good. Alina, we need to get the key using your favorite maze game.
Alina: With pleasure.
Alina turned on a game about a maze with a bear with a console and put four little friends on the table.
Emma: The game itself reminds us of us when we save Balancetopia.
Alina: Cute.
They saw the first level, where the bear has to get to the friend of the chicken, avoiding the bees.
Alina: Despite this, these bees were actually harmless until the evil ruler appeared.
She passes the level that she succeeds and a small key appeared from the console, making everyone scared.
All: Yes.
Leo took the key and Alina put it, Emma and tims near the cage, which they opened and the three creatures got free.
Lickshot Lizard: Thank you for saving us. But the others are somewhere.
Leo: Good. Fortunately, Alina is with us, but she also needs to be protected.
X-ray Ape: I agree. Moreover, I just noticed three of our own, which are on the table where the kitchen is, and the key is in the refrigerator.
Alina took her friends in her arms, turned around and saw a cage on the kitchen table. In the cage was a humanoid with a light on his head, a blue and white panda robot and a purple lizard in a hood. She went up to them and put the seven friends on the table and the locked ones noticed them.
Humanoids: Guys!
Alina opened the freezer on the refrigerator and took out the key in the ice.
Alina: I'll have to reheat it, but I wouldn't overheat it.
Leo: I think we need something like the desert, but not inside the pyramid for a party.
Alina: And how is that? I only heat it up in the microwave, since I can't do it in the oven or on the stove. And my parents are somewhere else, not covered by negatives.
X-ray Ape: You need to put the pan on the stove. (Alina understood and took one of them) Great. Now put the key down and wait. (Alina put the key on the stove while the ice began to melt) Turn it off. (She immediately turned it off) Well done, now you can safely turn on the stoves when you cook with your mother.
Alina: You are always smart.
She took the key with tongs and put it to her little friends and blew on it. After the key cooled down, Emma took it, unlocked the lock and the three of them got free.
Iron Panda: Hurray!
Leo: Strangely enough, there are no rats in sight yet.
Sneaky Lizard: They're obviously deliberately pretending when there are a lot of us that they've given up. The lizard knows when he worked as a cunning defender and smells their deception.
X-ray Ape: I checked that everyone else is on the second floor, in the closet and in the basement. But let's start from the second floor.
Alina:(She took friends) Then everyone's on top.
They headed to the top, while the rats saw this and climbed through the sink.
On the second floor.
The heroes arrived in a bedroom where the walls were pink wallpaper with drawings of sweets. There was a bed in front with a purple blanket in the picture, and three shelves above it. On the other side there was a bedside table with a dollhouse in the form of a castle and two doors. One led to Alina's parents' room, and the other to the bathroom.
Emma: Aren't there any friends of yours on the bedside table?
there was a cage on the bedside table, where a red mantis with sickles, a red mouse with a steam train and a lilac rabbit similar to his brother from the Snowy Valley were sitting in it.
Others expect Leo and Emma: Ours!
Alina put her friends on the bedside table and the others from the cage were happy to meet.
Double Trouble: Guys! The new guys saved you!
Leo: We also managed to save the others. Including your brother from Snow Valley, I think.
Double Trouble: He is my brother, I am glad for that.
Sickle Slayer: Here's what. The rats, who are controlled by the new ruler, hid the key on the shelf above the shelter.
They looked at the top and wondered which of the shelves the key was in.
Alina: I'm afraid I can't reach it myself. Because you're not supposed to stand on the bed.
Leo looked at the bed and jumped with Tim on his shoulder. He started jumping even higher on the bed, and later up to the shelf.
Emma: Just don't look down!
Leo: Don't worry, Emma! (He grabbed the shelf and got up with Tim) Everything is under control!
They started looking for the key on the first shelf. But there was no key here and we decided to look on the second shelf. To get there, they pushed a book that was coming up and fell to another shelf and moved on. The key was still missing in the third shelf. That they guessed that the key was on the top shelf.
Leo: Everything is clear, the key is on the fourth shelf!
X-ray Ape:(He looked at the top carefully) That's right!
Emma: But I don't think he can do it without our help.
Sneaky Lizard: Then we go to his aid.
They, except the lizard, jumped with the help of the bed to the top to the second shelf. Leo and Tim noticed, and later got scared when they saw a Sneaky Lizard next to him.
Leo: H-how?
Sneaky Lizard: I just know how to teleport cunningly.
Iron Panda: Because when we're together, we can build steps out of books if that's enough for us.
They make steps out of stacks of books together. Seeing this, Alina realizes that this is not enough and decided to take the rest of the books from other shelves. She noticed in the dollhouse that there was someone there.
Alina: Here are more books (She put the books on the second shelf). Besides, I just saw that there is someone in my dollhouse.
Leo: So we have to check after we release the previous ones.
They managed to make steps out of books and Leo, Emma, Tim, Rosie climbed to the fourth shelf. They saw the key and took it. When Alina lowered them, they opened the cage and the three creatures were freed.
Rail Runner: Great job guys.
Emma: Now let's see what's in your dollhouse.
The pink lioness took them and went to the dollhouse. When she opened the walls of the house, they were surprised to see a cage, and in it sat a white egg with a spotted beak, a robot, a unicorn with purple manes and a woman with emerald hair dressed in a red dress. They noticed them and were glad.
Happy Egg: It can't be, you've been saved!
Lickshot Lizard: Leo, Emma, Tim and Rosie freed us.
Iron Panda: They are also our new friends.
Leo: Please tell us where is the key?
Marry: The key is somewhere in the dollhouse. It's a good thing the rats and negatives didn't make a trap for you.
Alina let her friends out into the cabin and they started looking for her. They searched everywhere for a long time, and suddenly, as soon as Emma and Rosie sat down on the bed, Rosie went to the pillow and felt that there was something under it. She put it away and saw the key, which Emma took with a smile.
Emma: We found the key!
They all went to the cage and Emma opened it with a key. The prisoners left the cage while Mary thanked them with hugs.
Marry: Thank you for saving us. But keep in mind that the negatives were hidden by three of us in this house in the plumbing through the bathroom.
Leo and Emma: In the plumbing?
Leo: I can't imagine how we'll end up there as plumbing brothers.
Alina: It's okay, we'll tie you up with threads so that we can get you out after you save them.
Emma: Great idea.
Later.
While in the bathroom, Leo, Emma, tims and Alina were standing by the sink. Leo and Emma were tied with strings to get out of the sewer.
Alina: Are you ready?
They nodded and went down. They ended up in a gray sewer with water from the sink.
Four voice: Hi.
They were scared, but calmed down when they saw 4 creatures in a cage. One was a white rooster with blue spots and a crest. The other was a ghost with eyelashes. The third was a creature similar to Sun Walker, but it was a woman with a moon in a purple face and a white suit. And the fourth one was an orange butterfly.
Emma: Good afternoon. Do you know where the key is?
Happy Bird: He is in this place. You just need to walk straight to the end of the wall and turn right.
Two teenagers with chickens turned around and saw another way. They immediately went straight ahead and to the right. They saw a grate in the wall while the water was coming down through it. They decided to take a look and saw an iron stick that holds a key tied to it.
Leo and Emma: A key.
But it was not there when the three creatures noticed something with anxious faces.
Happy bird, Merry Ghost, Moon Walker and Dawn Butterfly: Rats!
Two teenagers and birds saw rats with purple eyes coming up behind them. Emma with Rosie on her shoulder hid behind Leo and Tim. The rats immediately attacked, and the four began to run away from them. Later, Leo looked at the grille and had an idea. He put Tim on the floor and ran to the grate while the rats were preparing to grab Emma and Rosie.
Leo: Hey! (The rats looked at him) To me!
Emma: Leo? (The rats run up to Leo) Leo!
It turned out it was a trick when he dodged and the rats fell down, and only one tail pushed him. He holds onto the iron and took out the key, untying it.
Leo: Tim!
Tim immediately flew over and took the key from him while Emma helped the boy up.
Emma: I was so very scared for you, Leo. You could have fallen.
Leo: I'm sorry for scaring you. But since we have the key, we will free the friends.
They returned to the cage and opened it with a key. The creatures immediately went free.
Down Butterfly: Thank you very much. But how are we going to get up?
Leo: We're tied up with strings so your friend can get us out of here.
In the bathroom.
Alina noticed that the thread was twitching and pulling her friends out with the rescued ones. Later, they left the bathroom and approached the rest of the friends who were near the dollhouse.
Leo: Do we have any more locked up?
X-ray Ape: Yes, and they're on the ground floor. The first cage is in the wall, the second in the closet and the third in the basement.
Emma: Let's start with who is in the wall.
Alina took everyone and went to the first floor. Alina lowered Leo, Emma, tims and they went to the hole. Inside the hole there was a cage where a parrot, a fat clown and an octopus with hands instead of hands were sitting. Two teenagers with birds noticed them.
Leo and Emma: Hello.
Guardian Bird and Ink Blaster: Not happening.
Happy Blaster:(Happy) They've come to save us!
Leo: It's just interesting to know where the key is.
Ink Blaster: The key is somewhere in the kitchen.
Guardian Bird: But know this. The rats hid it through a hole that leads there.
She pointed to the path behind the heroes. Leo, Emma and tims looked and saw just the thing.
Leo: Good. We'll go there.
Guardian Bird, Happy Blaster and Ink Blaster: Good Luck.
The four of them went where the hole led. They saw a wall with a hole in it. They went there and saw that it led to the kitchen cupboard. They looked around carefully and saw the key. But they didn't shout, because they thought it would be a trap. So they quietly took and immediately left the closet. But suddenly a rat appeared behind them and they looked at him. Later, they screamed in fear and immediately ran back to the cage.
Leo and Emma: Rat!
The three creatures immediately noticed them with the rat. When the rat jumped on four children, they ducked and he got right into the cage. He decided to make another attack, but the Bird hit him with a hurricane and he flew, and then fell.
Leo: Cleverly.
Guardian Bird: That's what happens if we work together.
They opened the cage and together with the humanoids came out of the hole.
Alina: It remains to be freed from the closet and basement. But I'm afraid there are a lot of rats there.
Emma: And we'll do it by trick. You can rest, and we'll figure something out.
Leo: (An idea came up) Listen, is there any food in the fridge? I meant for the rats.
Later.
On the topmost shelf there was a cage where a small number of creatures were sitting. They all looked different.
A lioness robot capable of changing color according to mood, a stretching caterpillar, an angler with a beach ball, a bear in pajamas who was sleeping, a mermaid with a rainbow tail, a jester with figures in his arms and legs, a green scarecrow, flying water, two mice with a handkerchief around his neck, a white koala with airplane wings, a plant, a cute white creature with a bow on its head, a black pawn with a gun, a beige lynx in a winter suit, a purple cat doll, a lilac axolotl, a brown dog and a black ghost with blue flame.
Cutier Girl: How sad it is when Balancetopia has become like this now.
Siren: If there were heroes, then everything would have ended well.
The rats roamed the shelves until they saw that the door had opened and there was food. The rats ran out of the closet hungry for food until they were trapped when Alina covered them with a cage.
Alina: Gotcha. Now your new home will be in the forest when we save the city.
The creatures in the cage could not understand, but noticed their friends along with Leo, Emma and tims with the key.
Critters: Guys!
Emoji: How did you manage to find the key?
X-ray Ape: Of course, with my help.
They opened the cage and the creatures came out. Alina went out to open the hatch to the basement and almost fainted when she looked down.
Alina: They even made a hole in the basement and removed the stairs.
The little friends came up to her while Leo, Emma, Tim and Rosie looked down. There really was a pit in the Basement.
Emma: So we need a rope.
Alina: There is just one.
Alina just took the rope and put it down until the tip of the rope reached down to the basement.
Mr. Ghost: We will wait for you here and guard you.
Sniffer Dog: We wish you good luck.
Leo, Emma and tims on their shoulders quickly descend on a rope and fall near the pit.
Man's voice: It can't be, they've come to save us!
Leo and Emma noticed that there was a cage with three people on the other side of the pit. The first was a dark-skinned woman with purple hair, the second was a clown man with green hair and the third was a large female artist with crimson hair.
Leo: All right. I'm Leo. And this is my best friend Emma.
Lucy: What nice names. My name is Lucy.
Attilio: I'm Attilio.
Sana: And I'm Sana. But you know, in this basement there is-
A huge rat with the size of a 15-year-old teenager with scars landed on the pit. They fell because of the landing, but when they saw him they were scared.
Leo and Emma:(Scared) Rat!
The rat started attacking them with his palms while they were running away. Later, he decided to hit them with his tail, but they jumped five times away from them.
Sana, Attilio and Lucy: Caution!
Leo, Emma and tims noticed how the rat was going to eat them and they dodged it. When he fell, they noticed that he had a key glued to his ear. They immediately climbed on the rat and went to the key. But he got up and they fell. But fortunately Leo is holding the key with one hand, and Emma and Rosie are holding the other. The rat is trying to chase them out of his ears while Leo has an idea. He threw Emma and Rosie on his head.
Emma: Leo!
Leo: Understand Emma, there is no other way out!
Rosie, tweeting, says he's right and Emma, thinking it over, calmed down. She pulls out the rat's fur, which makes him feel terrible pain and screams. That this scared the rest of the characters in the closet, and Alina took the creatures. Leo and tims are trying to get to the wool to climb and he succeeded.
Attilio: Hold on tight!
When the rat got tired and fell down, he noticed Leo, Emma, Tim and Rosie above his eyes.
Leo and Emma: That's enough outrage for today.
They hit him in the eye, which caused him to step back and stumble to his death. Leo and Emma checked if he was breathing and they were happy about it. They unhooked the key from the ear and used it to open the cage.
Lucy: You've handled this monster surprisingly well.
Attilio: But how do we get to the top?
Leo: Our friends who we freed them will help us.
Emma: And Alina.
In the City of Honestly.
The friends left the Quiet Village heading for Alina's house. They immediately noticed Alina, who was holding shrunken friends, who was leaving the house.
Alina: Our people are saved.
She put them on the device and Haoyu turned on the mechanism to enlarge them.
Nightmare: Freedom at last!
They hugged their friends very happily.
Sana:(Hugging Eis) I thought I'd never see you again.
Eis: I'm too.
Lucy: I am very glad to see you, my dear friends.
Cal: We are also very grateful.
Dawn Butterfly:(Hugging Dusk Butterfly and Thinworm Night) Mother. Sister.
Thinworm Night: We are very glad to see you back, son.
Emma: It's good that there are more of us.
Leo: Have you learned anything new?
Jose: When we finished cleaning up the quiet village, we found that some familiar silhouette with tentacles.
Tornado Wolf: It was immediately clear that this was the one who was following you.
Aero Acrobat: Meaning that no matter how you save us, the ruler plans to make a new attack against us all.
Emma: We need to hurry up, otherwise everything will end badly.
Leo: Then it's time for us to go to the palace.
Tornado Wolf: We will go with you.
Yuri: You have done everything to free us.
Cass: Now it's our turn to help you.
Leo: Good. Then go ahead for Balan.
Emma: And for Balancetopia.
All: Yeah!
A large company immediately went to the palace.
this story will include triggers like domestic violence, violence, anxiety, mental illness and other R-rated material & topics. this story will follow a mentally ill child star whose “issues” follow her into adulthood she crosses paths with a former collab artist, drake who is there with her through all her difficulties and struggles despite her trust issues & problems, he shows her that he isn’t perfect either. how will they navigate their relationship?
Leo sat on the toilet crying hot tears pierced her cheeks she had yet again been embarrassed by her boyfriend. Twenty minutes prior a few women had approached her showing her The Shade Room post that read “Kaiya & Metro Boomin spotted together this weekend, has Kaiya betrayed her longtime friend Leo?” Leo’s head started to hurt she had cried so much, she wasn't surprised by her bitter friend & slutty boyfriend. The pain was still so overwhelming she couldn't even draw breath, she kept her composure because she knew that people would be looking for a story so she left the stall & began cleaning up her face.
She took a breath & then stepped out of the restroom her hands shaking & eyes red. Leo walked back into the club some stared and others just laughed and shit-talked, she didn’t even turn around and look at the crowd. Forcing her way through sections she walked outside where her driver waited. “Take me home please.” She said before he could even speak. Her driver just nodded starting the car & driving away. She just kept staring at the post until her eyes started to water sliding the window open her driver handed her a box of Kleenex, and she wiped her eyes. “Yo, take me to Metro’s house,” she said as the driver nodded.
Leo stood outside sighing using her keys to unlock the door, she walked toward his art studio shaking and then opening every bottle of spray paint, spraying each painting individually covering the walls with paint. She made her way to the living room and began writing nasty words on his furniture. She slid his glasses over & a few vases then she came to an abrupt stop her eyes wandering to his studio she tried to stop but she just couldn't she walked over “Fuck it.” She said aloud, Leo walked in and then had an even better idea she put his computer in her purse and left locking the door behind her and getting back into the car. Her driver then sped off & brought her back to her house.
After her driver brought her back to the house she got in the shower and washed off her makeup then she put a robe on then went to go sit on the sofa. She sat drinking a glass of wine and flipping through the channels when a voice yelled her name, “Bae!” the voice yelled, “You here?” he questioned, it was Metro. She rolled her eyes & stood up to go wash the glass she had used along with the rest of the dirty dishes, her body tensed as she felt him behind her “I missed you.” He said grinning & rubbing her curves reaching up her robe Leo had never felt more disgusted.
He began getting nervous, “Bae, the silent treatment? For real? I ain't even do nothing.” Metro lied. She turned around breaking into tears “You must think I'm fucking stupid, I saw it already. Get your shit out of my house tonight! No later.” She commanded her voice shaky & heartbroken “Babe that wasn't even real!” as he went to hug her. “Don't fucking touch me, Leland.” She shouted pulling a knife from a drawer.
“Wow, you're a twisted sick bitch you know that right? This why I even FUCK with Kaiya your nuts.” He said disarming her holding the knife in his hands. Her body shook, she was terrified he was much stronger than her & he'd put his hands on her multiple times the look in his eyes was very telling, that devilish look in his eyes shook her. “Fuck you gon do now Leo, huh?” he said placing the knife towards her neck “Nothing…” she muttered her eyes filled with tears. She stopped for a second plotting her next move “You won't kill me.” Leo said in a shaky voice.
The only thought in her was ‘Why the hell would you provoke him?’
Before he could even form words she slashed a plate over his head she stared at his unconscious figure before reaching to grab her phone & call 911.
Her small hands shook as cops spoke to Leland trying to understand what happened tonight she kept zoning out while the police spoke to her she fidgeted looking nervous. He just gave her nasty looks, dry blood painted his upset face. “Excuse me, I'm Officer Styles.” The woman in front of her introduced holding her hand out, “Sorry, I'm—” Leo said before she was cut off. “Leo Ayene? My daughter loves that song you have with Drake.” Styles chuckled “Alright can you explain what happened here?” the woman requested.
“Uhm, It was an act of self-defense he had a knife to my throat but I’d prefer my lawyer present.”
IT’S NEVER OVER
Joel Miller x F!OC
Summary: Jessie tries to return to normal life after Joel fixed her car the night before, and subsequently, took over a portion of her mind since the moment she drove home. In an attempt to bury herself in her work to distract herself, she found out she needed Joel much sooner than she anticipated.
Words: idk yet
Warnings: not edited, oblivious mutual pining, fluff, friends to lovers
CHAPTER THREE -- RED LIGHT, GREEN LIGHT
MAY 2, 2002
Butterflies. Huh. Jessie hadn't felt like that in a long time. He was just being nice, right? An established contractor, a very handsome one at that, could be interested in her? To Jessie, he was entirely out of her legue, especially when compared to the men she'd wasted her time on before. That's not what Jessie wanted to do this time around. She couldn't bare to be toyed with anymore, so she needed to be cautious. Either he was the one or love simply didn’t exist. She came to realize over the years that this was true, just for different reasons.
She had a hard time falling asleep that night. She found herself smiling as her mind wandered every time she closed her eyes. She didn’t dream of him once she finally drifted off, in fact she didn’t dream at all. When she opened her eyes, it was suddenly morning but she didnt feel like she slept at all. After a few moments, something felt off. It was much too bright in her room for her usual wake up time for her sunday brunch shift.
“Shit!” She was on her feet in a split second, rushing around to get ready. She fixed the long braid she put her hair in before bed, threw on her uniform, and took the extra few seconds to put a glittery pink gloss on her lips. she raced down the creaky stairs, passing her brother who sat on the couch watching the news.
“Morning! Mom made—“
“I can’t, Leo, I’m late!” She called back as she made it to the back door in the kitchen. She quickly grabbed her dingy tennis shoes and sat down at the table to put them on. The smell of garlic, tomatoes, fresh bread and eggs made her stomach rumble.
“At least take some toast, honey,” her mother, still in her bathrobe and pajamas, emerged from her room off of the kitchen. She took a peice of the perfectly buttered bread she staged next to the pan on the stove and handed it to her daughter.
“Thanks, Ma.” Jessie took the bread after tieing off her second shoe and took a grateful bite. She gave her mother a hug, towering over her petite frame while being average height herself.
“You work too hard, my love.” Her mother squeezed her for as long as she let her. Once her brother entered the room as well, she kissed her on the cheek.
“I love you, Ma,” She avoided the comment, still chewing her bread. She turned to hug her brother as well, who pecked her forehead.
“You’ll be home before dinner?” The girl nodded, taking another bite. They separated and she slung her purse over her shoulder, grabbing her keys off the table. They said their final goodbyes as she walked out the door, a little less flustered and more put together than before.
Her drive to work started out normal. Her car was a little squeaky on a good day and was a bit of an eyesore, but it got her to work and back. That’s all she needed, and frankly, all she and her family could afford. It was her brothers car before he got a new one after getting the factory job. Everything was going to plan, she would be later than she normally was, but if she hussled, she’d be there with a few minutes to spare. But as she could see the stoplight, her halfway point to the diner, she felt a slight jolt in the car. Then, before she could process what was happening, she could hear her car sputtering out in the middle of the road. She tried to accelerate, but it was no use. She thought quickly enough to pull over to the side, in utter disbelief as she put the car in park.
“You have to be kidding…” She sat there for a moment, stunned at her unluckiness as cars honked and drove around her. She rummaged through her purse after a moment, looking for her phone. Sitting on top of it was a sharp index card with “Miller Construction” plastered on the front. She could just call her brother but she’d have to tow her car, and that was money she couldn’t afford to spend. She fought back in forth with herself for a few moments. Time was ticking and the sun was beating down on her in the hot car. Before she knew it, she was dialing the number on the card, her heart pounding as she listened to it ring.
“Miller Construction.” He answered casually.
“I- um—“ Jessie quickly realized how ridiculous this all was. Why would she bother a stranger with this? “Its Jessie, from the diner…”
He didn’t respond for a beat, so she continued. “Listen, I’m broke down on the side of the road and I’m gonna be late—“
“Where are you?” She was almost caught off guard by his willingness to help her. He hardly knew her. She took a second to look around for street sings.
“I’m on St. Claire and 13th, right next to the Shell—“
“I know where that is, stay put. I’ll be right there.” And with that, he hung up. Somehow, Jessie was left even more confused and flustered than before. She instantly called her boss afterward despite how she was feeling. No matter what, she could not lose this job. Thankfully, her southern-bell waitress was more than understanding.
She waited for what felt like forever, tapping her foot nervously on the floorboard. She recognized their truck as soon as it pulled onto the road, seeing the brothers smiling faces in the front. Tommy pulled it right up next to her, and she couldn’t help but smile as Joel leaned out the window.
“Hi, darlin’. Got a flat?” She shook her head, hoping he didn’t notice her blushing.
“No, she just died on me while I was driving.” Joel climbed out of the truck, the sun forcing him to squint as he looked down at her. Tommy pulled the truck around to align the bed with the front of the car as Joel opened the driver-side door. She gazed up expenctantly for a moment, making his own stomach flutter.
“Scoot over.” He nodded to the passenger seat. She glanced ahead as Tommy hooked something under her car and understood.
“Right, sorry.” She climbed over the center console and almost fell into the passenger seat. Joel attempted to sit down, but quickly realized he couldn’t fit without drawing the seat back first. She stifled a chuckle as he struggled to adjust the seat. He finally settled in with the seat all the way back and tilted just a bit. She could smell his musky cologne instantly.
“Much better.” He sighed before putting the car in neutral. Tommy stuck his hand out the window, giving him brother a thumbs up, which he mirrored.
“Thank you. Really. I would’ve had to pay to get it towed.” Her eyes scanned him as she spoke, taking in the sight of him. God, even the way he sat was so nonchalant yet tempting.
“It’s no problem. I hate to say it but even I get bored on Sundays. My only day off.” He chuckled a bit, leaning on the center console with his muscular arm.
“Let me repay you. Next time you come in, it’s on me.” Their body language was saying everything they didn’t want to say. Turned towards eachother, shoulders relaxed, and it was a good thing Tommy was leading because Joel couldn’t keep his eyes off of her. He knew how much she hated that uniform but it was so damned cute on her.
“Fine. You’re still getting tipped though.”
Jessie spoke too soon, though. Once the brothers got her car to Joel’s garage, she quickly realized a free dinner wasn’t nearly enough. Joel couldn’t find a problem under the hood, so he tried looking underneath her car as Tommy held a flashlight. It was at this point that Sarah emerged from the front door, three waters in hand.
“Hi!” She said cheerfully. “Thought you might be thirsty.” She handed the first one to Jessie.
“Thank you! Your dad’s just looking at my car for me.” She’d heard loads about Sarah. What a good kid she was, how much she took after her father, and some of the things she liked.
“Yeah.” She chuckled knowingly. “He was talking about you last night.” As if it were a reflex, Joel sprang to his feet to meet his daughter.
“Thank you, Sarah. You can go back inside, it’s hot.” He took the last two water bottles and shooed her away. She gave Jessie a pointed look before turning to leave. She glanced at Tommy, who was smiling and holding back laughter.
“Looks like your fuel filter needs changed.” Joel changed the subject, hands stained with oil and sweat beading on his forehead. Fuck. She could hardly focus on what he was saying but it sounded expensive.
“I’ll have to go to the auto shop later. I’ll take you to work on the way so you’re not more late than you already are.” He set one bottle aside for Tommy and opened the other one, drinking selfishly and letting it dribble down his chin.
“Um, sure!” She could hardly speak, let alone know what to say. “But that sounds like a lot of work, no? And money?”
“Don’t worry about it, darlin’. I’ll get it taken care of.” He placed a strong yet comforting hand on her arm, that familiar smoulder on his face.
“Then let me babysit. It takes a village. Maybe I could give her some guidance.” It was the perfect solution. He’d fix her car in exchange for a few weeks of free babysitting and she’d get to keep seeing him. She saw the same realization hit him as a smile tugged on his lips.
“Sure. Whatever helps you sleep at night.” He let his hand fall, passing by her to get in his truck that was now parked behind her car. He gestured to the passenger seat again. She quickly followed, having to hoist herself up into the cabin. Once she closed the door, they were locked in again, their own little bubble.
“Thank you, again. For everything.” She repeated sincerily. He was silent for a moment, reading the expression on her face as he pulled away from his house. Her smile was almost inviting.
“Don’t mention it, sweetheart.” His sultry voice sent a shiver down her spine. She turned and blushed, her eyes glued to her purse that sat in her lap. “I might just take you up on that babysitting offer.” He added, smirking over at her.
“I’ll show up and force you out if I have to, Miller. I mean it. I’m making up for every cent you put into my car.” Her voice was stern now, which just made her seem more adorable to him.
“Yes, ma’am.” He complied.
“Good.” He chuckled at her intensity. She rolled her eyes, and she was smiling as she did so.
After a few moments of comfortable silence passed before Joel pulled into the patchy parking lot of the diner.
“Don’t work too hard.” He teased as she unbuckled. She bit her lip, and he could see something in her eyes and the way she looked at him. She inched closer to him, hesitating before kissing his cheek. She smiled as she quickly turned to open the door, avoiding eye contact.
“When should I pick you up?” She hopped out of the truck, holding onto the door for support. She planted her feet on the ground, facing him as she propped the door open. She hadn’t thought of how she would get home tonight, so she answered, “Is ten okay?”
The man nodded almost too eagerly, “Yeah, that’s fine. See you at ten.”
“See you at ten.” And with that, she used most of her upper body strength to push the hefty passenger door closed and turned to walk away. She let her face express her true excitement out of his sight as she hear the truck drive away.
Maybe she asked to babysit Sarah out of the kindness of her heart and to repay her debts. Or maybe, and more likely, she used it as an excuse to see Joel more often. Either way, it was a win for the both of them.
(9 years ago, when April and Leo had started dating)
Today April was not having a good day, her grades have been going down lately, which is horrible for her. She was about to lose last year when she had her father's kidnapping and then his mutation, she was able to save him but she ended up with low grades in quite a few subjects and they didn't look very good in her GPA. She wasn't doing as bad as her last year, but she's not doing as well either. She had just taken the first term exams and she did not do well in biology, the teacher gave a lecture to those who had not passed. But April really disliked biology after everything she had been through, she wished she had passed that horrible subject.
And when she got to the sewers she was greeted with a slice of pizza right in her face. Mikey apologized but that didn't make her day any better. She had to wash her hair in the lair.
"I'll put your clothes here, Sunflower," said her girlfriend, Leona. The redhead had some clothes in the lair just in case, she left them in the blue turtle's room.
"Thank you Leely," she replied from the other side of my curtain, using one of her nicknames for her.
When she finished she went to Donnie's laboratory to practice her powers, she was already very good at controlling them, but practicing with him had become a little routine, like their ninjitsu training.
However, for some reason she did very poorly in practice. She didn't guess several of the cards, the things she levitated didn't move where she wanted them to, or just didn't move, and she was starting to get a headache.
Donnie told her that she must be very stressed, that she will skip today's patrol and go rest. She accepted, she needed a break.
She said goodbye to the turtles. She went to her house and she took a bath again to get rid of the sewer stench and put on some pajamas. She tried to lie down and relax but she couldn't.
Thoughts that she should be doing something wouldn't leave her mind. "I should study. I should go on patrol. I should be...doing something!" She couldn't shake that feeling that she must be doing something. It was annoying. She was even more upset because she really wanted to stand up and study, she had to improve her grades... But she didn't have the strength for that, her bed was so comforting, and... She just wanted to rest.
"April," she heard her father knock on the door. "You have a visitor, it's Lee."
That woke the girl up a little, but she didn't get out of her bed. She looked at her watch, 7:40, the boys were preparing to start their patrol around that time.
"You can come in" she said and her father opened the door. He let her daughter's girlfriend inter to the room.
"If you need anything, call me" Mr. O'Neil announced before leaving.
"What happened? What about today's patrol?" She asked.
"I thought about leaving it in the hands of my siblings, I wanted to come see you" she replied. "I know you're a bit in a bad mood today, I thought we could relax together" she said nervously, they had known each other for years and anyone would think that they had been dating for a long time, but it had barely been a month since they began their relationship. Sometimes they still stuttered when speaking to each other, and asked permission to kiss the other or hold hands. Lee, above all, was not very open in physical contact, and this was her first relationship, so she was the more inexperienced of the two, and sometimes this type of situation happened where she did not know how to act.
That was something that April didn't find annoying, she appreciated that the two of them communicated so well, but she hoped that one day Leona would also be more initiative in the contact without asking her first.
"I think it sounds good... I'm tired, but I can't relax, I don't know why" she explained in a heavy sigh, the one in blue took her hand.
"We could watch a movie, one that relaxes you. And drink that grape smoothie you like"
"It sounds good, but it can't last long, I have to go to bed early" she got out of bed to go to the living room, followed by her girlfriend.
"Oh yeah? But today is Friday"
"Right... I think I forget that."
There was silence.
"Hahahaha!" Leona's laughter was heard in the room. "Come on, tonight will be just for us."
She wasn't wrong, they told her father that they were going to relax in the living room, watching movies, and Leo asked him to make the smoothie that the redhead liked.
They looked for several movies, they decided they were going to see them all.
First it was "Mamma Mia!" followed by "The Proposal", "Legally Blond" and "D.E.B.S." Everything was going very well, April was already relaxed as planned. Her father had already gone to sleep and soon they would too.
"Do you want me to take you to your room?" The turtle asked when she saw that her girlfriend was almost asleep, she answered her with a sleepy "yes" and she carried her away.
She left her on her bed and tucked her in, she would find a way to saw from the outside, she didn't want to wake April or Kirby. But her girlfriend's grip stopped her.
"Stay," she said. "Go to sleep with me"
"Ahh –..." the turtle was embarrassed and a funny blush could be seen on her face. "Are you sure?"
"Of course" the redhead moved away a little to give her space, her bed was a little big, maybe they could fit together. "I want you to be with me" she said between yawns.
Leona decided to listen to her girlfriend and placed her next to her. She was nervous, but the telepath soon hugged her arm and placed her head face up, because she knew that the one in blue was bothered by feel the breathing of others. The turtle took off her mask and placed it on the nightstand, she hesitated, but she ended up grabbing April's hands in hers, it was her way of reciprocating her hug. April knew it and she went to sleep with a smile, feeling the cold, and comfortable scales of her girlfriend.
Dahlia. 6
Chapter rating: T Chapter warnings: None Chapter title: 6/9/2020 Word count: 2,000 Summary: With one final glance at the living room, Dylan pushed the front door open as quietly as they possibly could, tightening their grip on the box. They would have to find a way to poke holes in the lid. Or, just get rid of the lid altogether.
...This was up there on the list of the worst things Dylan had ever done.
Dylan stood over the bed in the attic, staring down at Elliot. The heart monitor was still steady, though it was starting to slow, which scared them. No one else had noticed.
Elliot had a nosebleed and the blood was black. It was on Dylan's hand, and after a moment of experimentation, they realized that it wasn't blood at all, instead the weird, inky substance that Elliot could control. So, something was wrong.
Since Dylan and Elliot had the same type of magic, that led them to the conclusion that whatever was going on, Dylan was the only one who could fix it.
Yet, the longer they stood over him, the worse the idea sounded in their head. They were going to take Elliot, straight-up kidnap him, preform some weird, spooky voodoo shit, and hope for the best.
If they had a solid plan, that would be much better for everyone involved. So far, all they had was either kidnap Elliot, or fake their deaths. Neither of those were preferable.
They couldn't stay at home, that was for sure. They could accidentally kill someone- kill all of them- and Dylan wasn't willing to risk it.
And they definitely weren't going to tell anyone about their plan.
Logan came home the night before, and Dylan hadn't spoken to him yet. They couldn't trust that Logan wouldn't try to stop them. They couldn't trust that Jaxon or Lily would, either. And if they told Sam, it would definitely get passed to one of their siblings. Sam couldn't keep a secret to save his own life.
Dylan couldn't tell them, if they tried to stop them, Elliot might die, and Dylan was not going to let that happen. Just the idea of that was enough to make them unreasonably upset.
If it worked, if Dylan saved Elliot, there was the obvious benefit of Elliot being okay. Then, Logan would stay, and Lily and Jaxon wouldn't leave, Cass and Leo and Ryan would come back, Leo and Jaxon wouldn't fight, everything would be okay.
With their mind made up, they took one of the plastic bins from the other side of the room. They used to hold the triplet's old toys from when they were younger kids. Dylan, Lily, and Jaxon had gone through the toys when they were younger to see what they wanted, and then later, Ryan and Sam had gone through the boxes. Elliot never got around to it.
So, the boxes were mostly empty now, as the kids took most of it, and what was left were old drawings that nobody threw away. Dylan dragged one of the plastic bins towards Elliot's bed.
Carefully, slowly, Dylan lifted Elliot off of the bed and gently laid him down on the floor. Dylan glanced at the open door, hoping that no one would come in. Unlikely, as it was the middle of the night, but still. If Lily came in while he was packing a coma patient into a box, Dylan would just give up on the spot. There was no explaining their way out of that. They couldn't think of a single reasonable excuse.
Though, if it was Lily, she might just shrug and leave. They worried about whether it would be Sam who would choose to stop by the attic at eleven at night. That would be even harder to explain.
When it was all finished and Elliot was okay and everything was fixed, they would thank them then.
A sudden sense of resolve at that thought, as they took one of the blankets from the bed, and folded it into the bin. They weren't just going to put Elliot in an empty box, although the mental image of it was, admittedly, quite funny. Being put into a box was obviously not going to be very comfortable, and Elliot was going to have some words for Dylan later, but it was going to be worth it in the end.
Alongside the blanket, they lined three pillows on each side except for one of the shorter ends, but that side was filled up by Elliot's stuffed rabbit. That was quickly discarded, just in case, because if something went wrong, and that toy rabbit got lost or damaged, Dylan was dead.
Now was the tricky part, getting Elliot into the box. That sounded weird and unpleasant. Dylan was going to stop thinking that.
Elliot wasn't going into a box, he was just... being transported. And sure, it was in a box, but it wasn't like Dylan was going to carry him. Elliot was light, but not much smaller than Dylan was, it would be too difficult and horribly suspicious if Dylan was wandering around with an unconscious kid.
They unplugged the heart monitor, worried that if they took it off of Elliot, it would flatline, which would definitely wake the others up. They'd all grown used to the steady beeping that filled the second floor of the house, but Dylan doubted it would be noticed if it stopped.
It was difficult to... fit Elliot into the box. And it still sounded weird to think something like that. They cringed to themself. They had to do some weird maneuvering things with limbs and overall, Dylan wasn't having a good time. Kidnapping wasn't nearly as fun as they thought.
Not that they expected to have fun. It was just worse than they thought it would be.
Dylan stared into the box, giving Elliot a stern look. "Don't suffocate."
Dylan liked to think that if Elliot was conscious, he'd be totally on board with their bullshit. He always was.
Dylan picked up the backpack they brought, and locked the lid over the box, and picked it up, wincing as they had to carry it down the narrow, attic staircase, holding their hand on the wall, hoping that they were being quiet.
Don't wake up, don't wake up, don't wake up.
For a brief moment, Dylan thought about the slim chance that right at that moment, Elliot would wake up, and if Dylan thought it would be hard to explain to their siblings or Sam, it would be harder to explain to Elliot himself.
At seeing the kitchen light on, Dylan froze, and left the box by the doorway. Logan likely already knew that they were there, so they might as well commit to it.
Logan was standing over the kitchen sink, and Dylan felt suddenly sick. Maybe guilt, for taking Elliot and leaving, because they knew that Logan would have a heart attack in the morning, and that Jaxon and Lily might actually commit a crime, and Sam would cry. As angry as Dylan was at their siblings, they didn't want to scare them like that.
They were hesitating. Dylan's expression turned flat again, as they stood in the doorway, waiting.
Logan turned around, screamed when he saw them, and splashed his water on his face. Dylan snickered.
Once Logan recovered from the initial shock, pressing a handful of paper towels on his face, and when Dylan recovered from the pure joy that came from the experience on their end, they thought of an excuse.
"What are you doing up?" Logan signed, and threw away the paper towels.
Dylan glanced down. "...Eating. Can't sleep. Pop-Tart."
Dylan hated Pop-Tarts, but Logan didn't need to know that. Even though he might already. They only recently started buying them. Dylan couldn't remember Logan ever getting them Pop-Tarts when they were younger.
"Okay." Logan nodded slowly. He looked behind Dylan and at the box, and Dylan was grateful that it wasn't a clear one. "What's with the box?"
Dylan didn't expect Logan to see the box. "I cleaned out my room, this is garbage."
Logan looked baffled for a moment, but recovered fast. "In a box? No bag?"
"Out of garbage bags."
Dylan hoped that Logan wouldn't check, and hoped that they were actually out of garbage bags if he did check.
Logan's eyes narrowed in suspicion. "Alright. You had that much garbage in your room?"
That wasn't even a joke. Theirs and Jaxon's room was essentially a dumpster with beds, and eventually Dylan would clean it. Just, Jaxon had to help. It was mostly his.
"Jax."
Logan looked like he understood. "Okay. Just be quiet. Try to go to sleep."
Dylan smiled, and nodded, and Logan patted them on the head as he walked past, and back to his room.
Dylan waited for a minute or two, before entering the kitchen. They managed to find a grocery bag from the recycling bin, and went through the kitchen, gathering plastic water bottles and snacks, opening the bin with a glance in the direction of Logan's room. They put the bag in the small space between the wall of the bin and Elliot's foot, and slung their backpack over their shoulders.
Dylan was known for random bouts of insomnia, so they supposed that was why Logan believed that they were cleaning their room at eleven at night. Dylan once learned how to knit because they couldn't sleep for two days straight.
With one final glance at the living room, Dylan pushed the front door open as quietly as they possibly could, tightening their grip on the box. They would have to find a way to poke holes in the lid. Or, just get rid of the lid altogether.
...This was up there on the list of the worst things Dylan had ever done.
They pulled their hood over their head to protect from the cold air (it wasn't that bad) and worried about whether they packed enough for Elliot, as they adjusted the lid slightly to allow air in.
Dylan had spent two days preparing, they had their backpack of clothes and extra food, a few crumpled-up dollar bills that they stole from Jaxon- they would lie and say that they'd pay him back, but that wasn't ever going to happen. Jaxon would live without five dollars- and a steel water bottle.
In all honesty, Dylan didn't know how Elliot ate, so they didn't bother to bring food for him. If all went well, they'd be home in two days. Best case scenario, Dylan wasn't yelled at (signed angrily at?) because Elliot was okay. Worst case scenario, they aged Logan by fifty years out of stress and literally killed him.
Dylan couldn't bring themself to feel bad about Logan all that much. Leo left and took Ryan with her, Cass left to stay in Maine, Elliot left and it was almost permanent, and out of everyone, Dylan thought that Logan was the one who would stay. Then he didn't, and Dylan was still convinced that when Sam finally accepted that his siblings weren't coming back, he'd go with Cass to Maine, and Jaxon would go with them because that was where Kai was, and Lily would go because where Jaxon went, Lily usually followed. And then, Dylan would be alone.
But that wasn't going to happen, because Dylan was going to fix it.
Another glance at the box trapped under shaking hands, best friend half-dead inside, and a last one at their house, and Dylan finally started to leave.
Leonardo let out a distressed chirp as he woke, reeling from the dream he had. Shaking a bit, he let out a small groan as he sat up, holding his head. Did he just... mind meld with the strange other Mikey in his sleep!? It didn't feel real but... looking deep inside he can sense that he did in fact use some of his mystic energy while he was asleep and his head felt clearer than it has in... well... ages. Stronger too.
Before he could consider it more he heard rapid footsteps stomping and the door to the lab/medical bay the other Donnie had set up for him was practically slammed down as the other Mikey burst in. The older turtle was panting, wide eyed as he searched the room and looked Leon up and down before his shoulders visibly slumped, relieved. Other Mikey approached Leo carefully, as if trying not to startle the already world slider,
"Did that just happen!?"
Thinking it overall bit and considering how drained he felt, Leo chirped in affirmative. Yeah, it did happen. Other Mikey audibly swallowed before saying softly,
"...it felt so real."
Leo just nodded along, familiar with the craziness of mystics. He still doesn't know why he seems to attack he'd to this Mikey and their much more aggressive version of Raph, he can only assume it was because they're versions of his younger and older brother respectively. Twitchy, Leo decided he needed to move. He can't think about what happened while sitting in their sterile cot. With a quick, graceful motion he left from the bed, landing silently on his feet.
"Wha- whoa! Hey, I don't think you should be..." Other Mikey yelped, trying to stop him only for the younger turtle to shrug him off. He knows his body better than anyone, being both medic and the most image conscious of his brothers. He knows how quickly his body heals itself, a little "side effect" of sort from his origin as a bioweapon. Draxum hadn't wanted his creations to be bedridden and unable to fight his one sided war. It's one the thing Leo will never admit to being glad about his creation since it meant why never had to sit long and always healed form any injury fast. Moving past the still stuttering turtle, Leo made a beeline to what he remembered from their small tour of the place to where their "living room" was. There he decided to just sit down, looking at Mikey expectantly.
It took longer than Leo wanted to admit for the Other Mickey to get the message. Whenever he tried to open his beak to speak it was like someone had stuffed a baseball down his throat and he couldn't seem to get the words out around the lump. Through a series of chirps, miming, and some somewhat awkward ASL he dusted the mental cobwebs off of (sign language is hard with only 3 fingers per hand and he hadn't had to actually use it since he and Donnie were 7 years old, okay!?), he eventually got the message across that they should probably tell the others about this. Other Mikey nodded before letting out an all too familiar grin.
Knowing what's next, Leo quickly covered his ears.
“FAMILY MEETING GET YOUR LAZY BUTTS UP I KNOW YOU'RE AWAKE ESPECIALLY YOU DONNIE!”
Yep... that's the Dr. Delicate Touch voice. As then other turtles filed in in various state of disgruntlement, Leo let out a yawn, blinking back sleep. The dream really had taken a lot out of him and he really wasn't at 100% either. He may have zoned out a bit, snapping back in when he heard his counterpart questioning the Other Mikey over whether he's sure Leon is okay. Well that won't do...
Leo lept up with a huff as he decided to show off a bit, grinning with a chip. How's that for being too tired! He and his siblings didn't fight Shredder for three days straight for nothing! Okay, well it was most his brothers who did that but he was fighting in Big Mama's arena, that still counts!
"Okay he's fine... though I'm not sure why he keeps chirping." Other Leo glanced at hus version of Donnie, prompting the purple reptile to go into a science spiel. Leo almost rolled his eyes and tuned the nerdy turtle out by sheer habit, since that's the only way to not get your head spunnin circles when his Donnie went on one of his rants, before he caught on to what the other Donnie was saying. Mental Blocks? Trauma!? It was all psychology and biology terms! That was his thing! Listening much more attentively, Leon almost scrunched his nose a bit at Other Donnie's half-baked theory about his chirping being a native language. Plausible but he highly doubted it, it was likely something instinctual to his more feral, nonmutated origins than any sort of language barrier.
Other Mikey seemed to agree, surprising Leo. He hadn't expected the other turtle to catch into that, although as he explained his reasoning, as well as newly christening him as Leon, it made a lot of sense. Both with the nickname and how he came to the conclusion that English was his native language. Then again he is a Mikey, he's probably more intuitive and observant than anyone else in the room. Well, except maybe Leon himself, but that's because it took a lot of practice to be the face man.
Leon was somewhat hesitant to agree with Other Mikey's idea of mind melding ti enter his mindscape though, he had a lot of secrets he didn't ean anyone knowing about and who knew what else they'd find about it. But on the otherhand... he really wanted to talk. He was tired of these turtles underestimating him, he was Leonardo Fucking Hamato for crying out loud! Hearing that they needed materials he perked up a bit, that might jsut be it! If he can find the materials and show them he isn't some fragile little kid... with a chirp he jumped up and sprinted to the sewers. He knew mystic materials like the back of his hands from all the times he had to sneak in and help Donnie with his mystic tech stuff... if anyone can find the rarer materials in this other dimension it'd be him!
Okay... maybe he had overdone it by leading them all on a wild goose chase but it brought a smile to Other Mikey's face and the looks on their faces when he revealed the portals were part of him and not just something the kraang did were worth it. Leon was decidedly smug as he was quietly escorted back to the lair, yawning. It was time for a good nap.
Holy shit! I HAVEN TUPDATED IN SO LONG IM SO SORRY OMG THIS IS AMAZING!
I promise I will update soon and bring you a new chapter! I was so focused on another story that I got sidetracked!
CHARACTER INFO:
Name: Leo Thomas
Age & Birthday: 27 years old, April 27th 1996
Gender/Pronouns: Cis Man He/Him
Birthplace: Griffin, Georgia
Time in Atlanta: 6 months
Neighborhood: Center Hill
Association: None
Occupation: Bartender at Savoy Lounge
Positive personality traits: Tolerant, Decisive, Playful
Negative personality traits: Spiteful, Corrupter, Single-Minded
ABOUT:
All things considered, Leo was raised in a warm and loving environment. The biggest issue he faced was watching his parents struggle for money as he got older. He'd see his friends get new things frequently while he was still sporting hand me downs from his cousins or brothers.
While in high school, it was noted how Leo began spending time with the wrong crowd but little did anybody know that the quiet boy they thought him to be was actually the culprit behind a lot of the chaos.. In the end, simple hustles turned into far more serious ones and before he knew it, he was a local dealer.
His social life blossomed because of it even if Leo could tell he was in over his head, what was supposed to be casual dealings to friends turned into their friends knowing...and their friends. Even though every day felt like a party, Leo knew he wouldn't be able to ride the high forever. Everything he touched seemed to break apart, from relationships to friendships. His own life, too. Drugs were at the center of it all even if Leo never dipped into his own supply.
As predicted, Leo was searched during a traffic stop but luckily for him only had a small amount of weed on him. Still, there was enough for the intent to sell and he was arrested. He went to jail for a year and his family told him that if he wanted to come back home, he had to shape up. Leo, despite knowing their words were wise, couldn't keep the good behavior up for long. He was shown the door after they discovered he was back on his usual grind.
Leo reached out to his long standing friend Xavier, who had no issues offering him a couch to stay on in Atlanta. Diego didn't mind either, but Center Hill isn't the best place for someone to keep their nose out of trouble. Leo tries to, for the most part. He has a job at the Savoy Lounge and is tucking away money for a deposit on his own place, undecided whether he'll stay in Atlanta or head back to Griffin.
Leo is very social and gets along with almost anybody. Nobody would be able to tell that he's quite reserved when it comes to opening up. He wants to try and earn a living an honest way but being so close to The Reapers is beginning to sway his judgement. He constantly wonders if he should go back to running drugs as a small term thing, get the cash he needs quickly and then be done for good.
