Ok the WIP I posted a little while ago is no loner a WIP yipeeeeeee I am so tired of looking at this drawing.

THIS DRAWING IS FINALLY DONE YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!

Ok so this drawing was a WIP that I had had sitting around for a while, and so because I wanted to do a test run with the new face style I'm trying out, I decided to pick it back up again. Now you may notice that compared to the other version of the WIP, the shading is different, and that's because I had to change all of it to match the light source of the moon, which was.... not exactly fun (especially cuz I stayed up late at night to finish this which was tiring), but it was worth it because I am a lot happier with the shading now. Also, when I initially redid the shading on the white trim of her outfit, I ended up making them look like indiscreet white blobs that just looked... bad, so I had to fix that and I think it looks a lot better.

My favourite parts of this drawing have to be the face and the hair, though I'm not surprised about how much I like the hair since hair is my favourite thing to draw. Also the wolf, I really like how the wolf turned out, since I also love drawing animals from time to time. I also like how the background turned out.

Also, Enoko's design was a hit hard to get right, and I decided to add the white trim separating her shirt and skirt mainly because I didn't like how abruptly it changed in the original design. Also, for some reason her dress makes me think of 1800s-y southern/western clothes, which has given me the headcanon that Saki gave her these clothes when they first met. Makes me wanna draw the two of them together in very western styled clothes, I think it would be cute. I also changed up some of the colours on her original design to fit in more with the palette that I was going for with this piece. Also, I like how her tails turned out, mainly because when I was working on some of the sketch for this I tried to make them smaller, but they didn't look right so I just went "fuck it" and made them big and poofy. Also drawing her wolf ears was fun, I like drawing simplified wolf ears like that. Overall, I'd say I did a good job incorporating elements (like the bear trap hands, the tails, the gem) in a way that didn't feel like they were out of place in the piece (something I was concerned about with Enoko's design).

All in all, I wouldn't call this my best work, but I do like a lot of aspects of it. I've also noticed that I'm kinda getting a bit frustrated with certain parts of my style like the lighting (mainly the lighting), so I think I wanna try and branch back into that more painterly style that I started out with when I first started posting here while still mixing in some elements of my lineless style. Also, I need to get better with my colour values, mainly just for clarity since I kinda think that's where this drawing falls flat a little.

day 16: super proud of how this one came out and it's a bit personal to me <3 i think it does a good job of conveying the tragedy of his character..

day 35: this one's a style study; i think i nailed the linework more or less even if the coloring ended up being a bit too me, trying to figure out the perspective on everything was surprisingly fun

day 49: ive had the reference for this one saved in my pinterest board for so long i had to draw it eventually

day 28: this is probably the daily jordan post with the most notes? which is deserved i think, i was inspired in part by the lineless vector art that was popular in the 2000s and the 2014 powerpuff girls special because its art direction is awesome. i was imagining this being an illustration used for merch or something a la ppg's dream in style line from 2004

day 85: IT'S THE JORDAN FIGURE!!!! he's become three-dimensional... this is my first serious attempt at sculpting since like elementary school so im glad he turned out so well, i have him on my shelf and i occasionally take pics of him around my house. he's so cutes

day 8.5: this one was supposed to be day 9 but i fucked up while scheduling the post bc i was drunk so there were 2 jordans on that day lol. anyway ive been lowkey in love with 326's art ever since i looked into his work on gitaroo man which is one of my favorite games of all time, he's got one of the most unique styles out there with a very playful aesthetic. i tried going for a "what if jordan was a boss in gitaroo man" type of design here, i was originally going to try and design his gitaroo too but i got tired

day 21: had a lot of fun working on this one and trying to figure out where to place all the dots and in what order! ive been thinking of doing more pieces that encourage the audience to interact with the art in some way.

day 51: this one doubles as an artfight attack and im so proud of it still. i was listening to kmfdm while working on it and i think that's why it looks like that

day 97: probably the rawest daily jordan yet im really proud of how i drew the burn scar. not much to say about this one other than it's cool asf

day 50: if i had a nickel for every time i drew jordan turning into/partially summoning FS....

1. Ballum Advent Calendar 2020

This piece was made for the christmas ballum advent calendar this year and I really like how it turned out! The head positions turned out fanstastic despite how I struggle with it and the hands took me AGES but look great! I only wished I had time to fully color it, but I lost the will.

2. Frankie Lewis Lineless Pastel

This was my first attempt at a realistic lineless style with much more vivid coloring with more tones and shading. I kinda botched up the anatomy of this peice, whoops, but I spent so long on the shading and i really love how it turned out! I haven't tried the style again bc its super time intensive but I still love it.

3. Ballum Big Bang 2020

I drew this piece for the lovely @kay-okays and her fic Rhythm Rush for the Ballum Big Bang this year. In particular i liked how i colored the back ground, since i was experimented with different brushes and discovered some really fun ones!

4. Ballum Secret Santa 2020

This one was for the recent Ballum Secret Santa for @minimitchell and the best part for me was how relatively easy it was for me to make? I didn't use a reference for it or go all out with coloring and it shows but compared to last year I definitely improved when it comes to what i can draw and I think it shows!

5. Chantelle's Final Portrait

I made this portrait of Chantelle after her death on the show this October and I really like the expression I chose, plus the shading on Chantelles face. Her hair though definitely wasn't shaded right since it appears too flat, but overall I like it!

Ayo look some actual coloured properly, sorta at least, art! this is what the wip from yesterday was off, and i am pretty damn happy with how it turned out, this is another one with Stretch dressed up in outfits from Sailor Moon though with my own spin a bit, been wanting to draw him in a shirt saying that for like forever ever since my waifu @mcfudgie drew their pap in one saying the same thing, because Stretch is a bottom bitch pfft xD 

And look Ham aka Haminator 3000 is back! The sphynx cat that I came up with for Stretch ages ago, who i really should draw more often because I love that cat, sadly I can’t draw cats for shit but I tried 

Anyhow really happy with this, wasn’t supposed to colour this but the sketch turned out so good that I just had to, had so much fun just colouring willy nilly not trying to make it look super good and colouring lineless is always so much fun I should do it more often, really happy with the colours like all of the colours turned out so good, only the shirt ended up a bit too yellow or is that just me who knows, really like the shading on his feet, and his damn face I love how his face turned out the expression is so good yes, and the smoke I thought at first it would turn out bad but I somehow made it look pretty good, he is supposed to be blowing the smoke out of his nose hole but dunno if I succeeded with it, not so happy with those hands tho the one on Ham looks pretty good but the other one is just nope, looks too weird and i was unable to fix it, I also didn’t use any black on the lines on his body which looks a bit weird but I like it, tried to not line with any black except for the gloves and hat, I did want to make him sit on something but couldn’t come up with anything, so floating in the air it is yay :D and my writing style is so bad look at it pfft

Hello there everyone! I am soooooooooooo sorry that this is up days late! Genuinely, I’ve just been a lazy lil’ butt who has now become obsessed with Panic! at the Disco...

Yeah, stating it bluntly is really the best, and only option I’ll accept XD 

But I must admit, I am very much tired and still can’t help being a lazy butt, so I’m probably only gonna name each bit of artwork. I feel it’s a disservice to how much I love the work I did this month, but I know my tired self by now XD

1: U.A Girl - My Self-Insert OC for My Hero Academia drawn in a BnHA Smash Tap-esque art style 

2: Daily-Dose of Amy Rose - Sadly, @ dailysonicgals is no longer active, but many of the same artists are on @ dailyamyrose, and so this is my first piece of artwork for the blog!

3: Some Project Star-Gazing! - I’ve mentioned my lil’ passion project a while ago, and it’s been slow moving. But I come back to it every once in a while, so I always enjoy it when I do at least!

4: New Hair Style! - Yep, I got my hair dip-dyed! On my birthday no less! I really do like how it turned out, as it’s more of a honey colour than full on bleached. It’ll definitely be fun to draw it now! Well, speaking of which...

5: Lineless Lil’ Baby - I included my new hair in some lineless art! Haven’t messed around with lineless in a LONG while, so it was a fun new thing to do! 

6: Awesome Gem Fusion - So, I joined a new Discord server a few days ago, and I met the sweetest person! @ronnoc32122 requested if I could help in designing a fusion between their Zircon and their friend’s Bismuth, and it was such a cool experience! 

7: Haruhi Fantomu - So I followed this awesome blog @baka-no-hero-blog , and really liked their BnHA OC Haruhi, and tried to draw her myself! They are a really sweet person, and the fact that I won their follower’s contest has me really excited for what I’m gonna get!

8: Jennifer Gallagher - And finally for this month, I once again drew my BnHA Self-Insert OC, but this time trying to replicate the anime’s art style! (Like I did with Haruhi!) I learned a few things from the previous artwork, and tried to improve myself with this!

Really though, the lower I put the expectations, the more likely I’ll try to go beyond those expectations. Why? I just wanna do as much as I want, and as much as I feel necessary to include. High expectations scare me I guess XD

a bit later I usually am with these, but here’s what I’ve been up to in 2017. While I feel like my improvement isn’t as obvious as ith as been in previous years, I still feel like this was a really good art year for me. I actually did a lot of pieces that I really liked and actually still like months later! that is a completely new sensation for me! I feel like I’m really getting to where I want to be with my art, so hopefully this will continue in 2018. 

for the first time I feel like commenting on my choices for this thing, mostly cause I just want to but also in case someone wants to know how I feel about my own art. but because theres a lot of drawings here that’ll continue under the cut 

wow I use red and pink/purple hues way more than I thought. anyways. 

january -  this year I wanted to get better at doing at least somewhat interesting backgrounds (even if it just means a simple colour) and experimenting more with different textures and styles, and I still think this tenten was a good start. I had been wanting to draw something like this with her for ages and I’m glad I finally was able to pull it off.

february - february didn’t really have any drawings that stood out to me, but this month I started drawing a lot more “casual” trek stuff, as in stuff that doesn’t need to have a punchline. I see a lot of problems with it now, but I really liked this seven when I first drew it. 

march - again, not a month where I found anything particularly good, but it was the month when I got into night in the woods (still a big fan of it) and this was honestly the best of the nitw art I did. 

 april - I am pretty sure the demon kankuro was a redraw of an older, shittier demon kankuro I can’t be bothered to find. Its a bit messy and his facial features are off, but I still think theres some nice details and colours. At this point I had also started to use a bit of after effects (the blur around the edges). the 80s ino is part of a konoha girls in vintage clothes thing that admittedly isn’t all that good looking, but it was a lot of fun and probably my favourite outfit drawing. 

may - I spent most of this month doing art memes inbetween exams and dying, but this random kankuro somehow found its way in. yeah its not spectacular or anything but it kinda happened on a whim and its not a style of colouring I use very often. I don’t remember what brush I used but I love how it looks. pardon my french but I’m pleased with how this turned out. 

june - I moved this month so I’m surprised I had time to draw at all. this sad nog represents my inner turmoil and stress at the time. probably. anyways, I feel like this was the first time I was able to cartoonify a ferengi somewhat successfully. I also finally started toning down my exessive highlighting.

july - I spent most of july stuck in the mountains with no internet, yet somehow I still managed to draw a bunch of shit I still really like. The magical girl temari was the first time I tried to do a combination of solid and blended shading. I’ve had issues with my shading for a long time and I think this was a step in the right direction. It was mainly inspired by how much I liked the solid shading of the other one, which is also the only good drawing I’ve ever done of that oc. 

august  - what the fuck how did I draw so many things I like in august. For the deanna I just suddenly got the idea to try something art nouveau, and while its not perfect I’m still happy with the result. The hair took forever but I’m still in love with it, and I’ve been incorporating some of those elements into my art ever since. The temari REALLY benefited from solid shading instead of me drowning it in exessive layers of purple like I usually do when I shade. idk what to say, I love it and I genuinely think its one of the coolest things I’ve ever drawn. for the top one I wanted to do something original and different from my usual stuff. The background is a bit messy but I still like the overall result and it has inspired me to draw more casual stuff that doesn’t necessarily need to be posted here. 

september -  no contest here, the konoha witch series took a lot of time, but I’m still happy with the result.Well for some of them at least. Ino is hands down my favourite and I think its obvious that shes the one I put the most thought and effort into (even though it started with a random sketch of tenten). Apparently I have some kind of bias towards pink and purple, which might explain why I think Ino just ended up with the nicest looking colours out of all the girls. 

october - I didn’t have time to do a big halloween piece this year, but this wirt was still pretty halloween-y. the colours turned out better than I expected, especially the shading on his face. The background doesn’t really make sense, but I think it looks nice so ya know, whatever. This was also the first time I watched over the garden wall so this also has some sentimental value I guess. 

november - Huevember month! which meant a lot to choose from! the kira I did on the last day of november is honestly my favourite out of all the huevember drawings I did. I don’t do a lot of drawings with the light source in the back, but I think it really worked here. idk I just think the colours and the style look really neat. It feels weird being so positive about my art hah but I don’t have anything I dislike about this one. I do have a few problems with the temari, but I just really like the colours, and I like that I did something interesting with the colours for once in my life. The tilly is in all honesty not a fave of mine, I actually kind of dislike it BUT it did get featured on after trek so I feel like it was a significant part of my ~art year~ 

december - I’ve had a lot on my mind this month, so sadly I’ve been really inactive here. The elf temari isn’t really all that special, but then again I don’t think its directly bad and I think the colours turned out better than what they usually do when I try shading my lineless art. The other one is a redraw of a drawing I did back in may, and while I (as always) have some problems with it I do think its a big improvement over the old one (which is so ugly that I was genuinely surprised to find that it was drawn...this year). 

thank you if you bothered to read all of this! I know this was completely pointless but at the same time I’ve found that artists often hav completely different opinions on their art than others do so there might possibly be something a little bit interesting here. just a tiny bit.
