Tbh I’ve always been a Gale…sympathizer at least. I have always been an Everlark girly through and through and never cared for galeniss as a ship, but even as a teen the whole thing surrounding Prim’s death rubbed me the wrong way. Both because I thought it was overly cruel to Katniss and because even then I could kind of see the way the narrative was trying to demonize the rebellion. My favorite Everlark fics were always the ones where Katniss and Gale still got to be friends. It wasn’t an opinion I always broadcasted because it wasn’t very popular. But it was there. Watching your re-read definitely made me more of an apologist though because his feelings on the capitol were always 100% justified and its very backwards that Mockingjay demonized him for it.

And yesss at the lesbian Everlark agenda. That one is completely new for me but it makes so much sense in my head. They’re very coded. Like, Peeta is a lesbian. Hearing a pretty girl sing at your school as a kid and deciding right then and there to pine after her for the rest of your life is 100% something a lesbian would do.

OK SO I know Tridentarius was probably chosen bc third house (I looked it up and as I suspected they r in third house) but also trident refers to the three pronged weapon (trident - dent literally meaning tooth) and not just three. Tridentarius was a word in ancient Rome for a gladiator who fought with a trident and weighted net(Thank you riordianverse for being why I know that)

Imagine you’re some little evil woman sitting in Hades’ throne room when Orpheus walks in to make a deal to get Eurydice back, and Hades is like “yeah ok, just don’t look back otherwise she has to stay here” then walks out of the room. Almost immediately after hearing the conditions, Orpheus breaks his own neck so that it is physically impossible for him to turn it, and then demands that you gouge out his eyes for good measure. Eurydice then gets really upset because she’s convinced this is a sign that Orpheus hates her and never wants to see her again, and Orpheus is completely convinced that this was a normal and logical thing to do.
