Inheritance Cycle book 5 theory: Trianna will become a shade

Okay so, in Christopher Paolini’s reddit AMA he was asked a few times about Trianna, and one of the times he simply answered “she’s trouble”

And that just made me think. I’m re-reading Brisingr right now and I had totally forgotten that Trianna is a sorceress, and canonically is very adept at summoning spirits, though she takes precaution and doesn’t often do it (according to Arya)...I’d have thought nothing of that if it were not for Chris’s comments about her in the AMA about her “being trouble”

Makes me think that in book 5...we’re gonna have a new shade...and it might be Trianna...AND I kind of think that maybe she becomes possessed with the spirits that fled Galbatorix’s body when he died, because given the way I’ve seen Chris answer questions about the spirits and what Galbatorix’s use for them was, it makes me think they’ll be relevant in the future.

• New friends: Her baby monsters. Rides a young pink rathian named Druzy.

• New look: She sports armor and clothes made from monster leather and parts.

• Other: Main weapon is sword and shield.

• Mun’s thoughts: She's braver than Triage since the world demands that she has to fight off dragons when need be. I do think my idea is way darker than the game world in Monster hunter stories since that world would be tough and its stupid to think that they wouldnt have to hunt monsters. Also old art is old and it this point I'd age her up if I did anything with the concept:

The Volantene Noblewoman

There were so many unknowns, while thinking up this fanfiction. Instead of wisely running away, I decided to embrace some crazy unknown aspects of ASoIaF. The biggest is throwing knives.

You might not think it would be. I didn’t either.  I went to a medieval festival and saw throwing axes. I had thought that was accurate, until I found it that wasn’t at all historically accurate. So, I research throwing knives or throwing dagger. It’s actually African in origin. How to adapt this in ASoIaF universe? Answer have a mysterious tribe in Sothoryos create it. In case, you’re wondering onzil and woomera are real life weapons. The throwing knives’ origin (at least my headcanon) is a combination of Sothoryos and Dornish weapons.

Now, to create the Volantene noblewoman herself, I mixed together what we know about Nymeria and Volantis. Prince Doran chose her to be on the small council. Why her and not the eldest sister? I doubt it because she is the bastard of a noblewoman since most other nobles view all bastards as the same. It’s most likely that she has a talent for it. Where does she get this talent from? I’m guessing mostly her mom. It make sense. Volantis is known for their nobility being heavily involved in politics. Also, I picked the mom’s name as Darianna, which is inspired by literally the only canon Volantene’s woman name Trianna. Thanks Martin :(. That’s how the name and her passion for politics came in. Another aspect which had to be included was slavery. It a major part of Volantis story line. I added a real life nasty common practice of children being separated from their parents in the story.

Talking about children, how does the Volantene view bastards? This had to be figured out. Readers have very little to go on. We know Tyroshi had a practice of  the bride’s parents receiving money (example Rohanne). So, I figured it was a Free Cities practice. Now for bastards, I considered the experience of House Rogare and historical Rome. When punishments were issued for Rogare only the true born children were punished, why not the bastards? Also, why was Princess Saera adored for her sexy action in Volantis and not in Westeros? It’s interesting to note the practices of ancient Rome. If two nobles had an affair, the birth father would be required to care of the child and the child receive the mother’s ranking (I think). However, the bastard child (if I remember correctly) doesn’t receive an inheritance. This makes sense. Hence the reason none of the Rogare’s bastards were accused or punished, there was nothing to gain.

The ending of my fanfiction is inspired by Leigh Hunt’s poem, “The Glove and the Lions.” It’s a great poem. I highly recommend it. Anyway, this is my crazy thought process. Take care, everyone.

OC who is a perfect cinnamon roll, too good for this world, too pure The really Pure Pureness ones are Talia from Variantverse (she just makes golems and is physically upset by the idea of hurting people) and Shaun from Dustverse (poor baby herald of the apocalypse). Dustverse’s Karen isn’t, like, pure pureness the way those two are, (blood-splattered cinnamon roll) but she’s a cheerful girl who just wants to make her idol proud.

50. Give me the good ol' OC talk here. Talk about anything you want I don’t actually have a lot of explicitly magical OCs, and even the ones like Trianna who started out explicitly magical have kind of lost those qualities as time goes on. All my kids are defined through the rules of the universe they inhabit, except for Trianna and Val who are defined by the rules of The Plot Requires You To Do This, Now.

I guess that would have to be Sonya\Dolokhov from War and peace. It was a kind of trope that hugely irked me, but then I wrote it for reason and fell straigth into it. Happens

Shit, I’m too into rarepairs to give a proper answer to this. Probably Trianna\Nasuada as you unfortunately know

It’s really rare for me not see any appeal into something at all but ehh I’d say Reylo? I’m fairly into the new star wars and I don’t think anything bad about people who ship it but I super struggle to see anything into it

5) What is your most fluffy + happy ship?

Ohh all my ship which are fluffy end badly :p if “ships I really cared for in the past” count that’s probably Suki\Sokka from ATLA. Now maybe Pierre\Natasha?

16) Is there a ship that made you realise something about yourself?

Okay you have to promise you won’t judge me because this is super awkward and reveals a lot of projecting on my part and I’m afraid won’t make much sense for you, but... Hélène\Dolokhov and the reason is that I really identify on Hélène’s being a... how to say it... fake ass person who never exposes herself and acts always detached and I realized how much of an act of love it is to get mad and stop avoiding confrontation on someone’s behalf, and I try to do it as much as I can now. Which is FUCKING ridiculous because these are like... the last characters I should get moral lessons from and yet.
