One of the things I wish Royal talked a bit more about: I can't help but still wonder about Sumi's family life and how it might have influenced Kasumi's own behavior too. Just from what was described about how she took care of Sumire it seems like she was trying to parent her if that makes sense? Basically to the point where Sumire later perceived it as her being condescending which I don't blame her for really (This was me with my mom at one point). But yeah I do wonder sometimes and wished that the game talked a bit more about it. Like maybe the parents are loving but aren't around all the time due to jobs so Kasumi decided to take up the caretaker role b/c she's the oldest twin and loves her sister so she doesn't want Sumire to feel neglected? I also remember reading a theory that their mother favored Kasumi more than Sumire due to a bit in the flashback that showed their father with a woman next to him in the background during one of the twins' meets and she was prominently wearing pink (Kasumi's signature color).

Idk, I know their father loves them for certain but I can't help but wonder more about their personal lives and how it ended up impacting/influencing both of their behaviors. Kasumi potentially wanting to make sure her sister didn't get neglected and felt loved/taken care of only to backfire badly would be interesting. It could add more context to some dialogue in the Tactica DLC story that implies that the two got into fights/arguments as they got older too.

so I was watching this (one of my favourite pro dances actually)

and my brain instantly thought of royal trio

But it’s Akira in the villains place and akesumi (probably platonic in this case) as the couple

So I’d say it’s closer to when their nearly defeating maruki and so he’s resorted to desperate measures and cursed akira to attack/lead them astray from the fae kingdom

hence we get this sort of song and dance between the three of them with goro being more stubborn and not willing to loos control of himself

whilst sumire is still recovering from Maruki’s brainwashing so she’s in a fragile position and is more likely to want to follow akira

So I’d say it’s a bit of time since they meet ann at the whispering willows and now the two of them are in the wandering woods

Woods known to change, they confuse those who come in and make sure they never manage to get out

So when they see Akira (who I’d say split from them a few days earlier to search for other ways to the fae kingdom) let’s just say akesumi are extremely worried but also happy

But then he begins to do the song and dance trying to manipulate them into staying so goro has to drag sumire away before it’s too late.

I drew some sort of dres for akesumi, ribbons galore because yes yes I like the implication that the ribbons now have much more meaning to the both of them instead of just sumire!!!

Sumire’s dress would be pure white much like in the video, more lace but also a bit of ripped silk

Goro’s would be more dark blues, grey with silk

So sort of the “running through the woods for fun frolicking” look

but it soon turns into a nightmare when cursed akira appears

I’d say his outfit is more black and red, velvet (definitely leaning towards arsené)

This WIP has been sitting in my files for months. It's my last work of 2022 and at the same time the very first of 2023 since I drew it during New Year Here, Sumire is walking a clear path held by (and followed by) Maruki's persona. She's wearing clothes that are meant to resemble fairy tale Cinderella's gown (since her first persona is Cendrillion). Sumire's high heels are a little too big for her, it's purposeful. She's trying to fit into Kasumi's shoes and live as her but as it is, she's slowly starting to get a grasp of reality. She's looking at her foot and wondering just when did she start wearing glass slippers? (Pretending to be someone else)

to meee :3 akechi and sumire arent exactly friends throughout january, (they only get really close several years later) but as a side effect of neither having anything better to do and the two constantly haunting kichijoji i think they inevitably fall together more often than not. ren takes sumire out for darts and shes weirdly better than she was last time (sidebar but the fact that sumire and akechi both mimic your throws but sumire sucks shit at darts too much for it to do any good is so cute) and shes like oh yeah akechi-san has been teaching me. oh wow i got a forty! unaware of the way she just blew rens mind.
