The main crew for 45 :) Trevor, Angel, and Eden are roommates with varying degrees of entanglement in the city's Hero Program- a registered hero whose civilian life is a bit of a disaster, a civilian who might have a little more going on behind the scenes, and a mysterious Encountered whose newfound powers have forced them into an early retirement.

When Eden isn't biding their time as an inpatient, and Trevor isn't being called into work again, they're relatively inseperable, and tend to spend most of their free time as a pack of loser twenty-somethings.

Trevor operates under the alias Coldshock, a fairly popular persona known for being awkward in media appearances and thermokinesis. He's not usually recognized in his daily life, though.

Before their retirement, Eden went by the alias Acid Rain, a divisively ephemeral hero with corrosive breath. Their public presence was always rather intimidating, making them difficult to like. An accident during a job led to their Encounter, a supernatural phenomenon that can sometimes be triggered by near-death experiences. The outcomes of these Encounters can be unpredictable, and their actual cause is still unknown- Eden isn't too thrilled with theirs, though, as ever since they've become too physically frail to even use their powers without them eating holes in their flesh, and they've recently been suffering horrific nightmares.

Interstella is currently the hottest independant hero in the public eye, beloved for their cutesy aesthetic and frankly daunting ability to manipulate gravity. Their mysterious masked identity has spawned countless forum threads and social media arguments, a considerable amount of which speculate on whether or not Interstella is a cute girl.

Angel is one of Stella's most vocal fans, with a relatively populated theory channel that's... mostly only popular because Angel has the emotional rigidity of jello. Voted most likely to make an angry meltdown video over hate in the comments.

Decided to post some more random, mostly minor characters from the DC universe, mostly ones that seemed they would be fun to draw. I guess technically these drawings are all based in my TrWh au, as always. Here they are:

Wanted to draw heroes with wings, I draw Vanessa quite a bit so I had to learn wings and feathers. Still working on it, but its fun. You can see Vanessa there at the bottom middle, looking a little menacing.

The girl with red wings is called...Redwing aka Carrie Levine. I thought she was a sweet kid, so her ultimate fate was pretty sad. Wonder if she'll come back to continuity at some point.

The guy with the mohawk is Northwind aka Norda Cantrell, part of Infinity Inc the earth 2 version of a Teen Titans group. He honestly didn't get a whole lot of focus in Infinity Inc, like the writer didn't know what to do with him. Maybe they should've made him into the magic fighter of the group, almost felt like thats what they were going for him before they wrote him off.

The girl in yellow is Dawnstar, part of the Legion of Superheroes. I haven't read much of LoSH, mostly some 90's issues. But her design is soooo pretty I had to draw her, her costume here is a mix of her various outfits.

Lastly, here's Bluejay aka Jay Abrams again, part of Justice League Europe. Kinda thought JLE was a bit of a letdown, I mean the team's made up of mostly americans not europeans! I think Crimson Fox was the only european, I thought her set-up of being two people was cool.

Little extra Infinity doodle, here's Hector Hall (Silver Scarab) hating on poor Norda, with Lyta Trevor (Fury) looking on with confusion. Hector's just a hater (tho there's reasons for it ig), an archetype you see sometimes in some superhero groups, like Roy Harper or Guy Gardner. The plot-line of Hector's resentment of Norda was kinda interesting, but like with most things in Infinity it didn't get the focus it should've gotten. Speaking of Infinity, here's some more doodles:

There's Rex Tyler (Hourman 1) with little Rick Tyler (Hourman 2), enjoying some father-son time. Apparently Rick's first costume isn't well liked (so says reddit). I thought it seemed cute but maybe it works better as a kid's or sidekick's kinda costume?

In the middle is Jack Knight (Starman) suffering as he interacts with Sylvester Pemberton (Skyman, formerly the Star-Spangled Kid) and Courtney Whitmore (Stargirl, actually she should still be S-SK but whatever). In my au he actually joins Infinity Inc, since everyone becomes heroes earlier he's actually around when the team's still running. I suspect his dad (Ted Knight) forced him into it. Also Courtney doesn't respect Jack at all, he's so annoyed at this. Look at her mini-staff, I presume Ted made it for her.

Also there's Beth Chapel (Dr. Mid-Nite) and Jesse Chambers (Jesse Quick) looking cool. Jesse also joins Infinity Inc in my au, will there be a love triangle going on between Beth, Rick and Jesse? Don't think Rick's gonna survive that, aw well.

Look at baby Jade and Obsidian, Alan is overwhelmed by their antics.

In another post someone asked if I could draw more of the Relative Heroes, a super obscure hero group. So @draculaura1660, this one's for you. Here they are:

I kinda had a hard time drawing this group, cuz their costumes are so complicated! I wished there was a reference/concept art for them cuz it was a struggle trying to figure out the details, the comic art did not help matters at all. You might have noticed I changed details anyways, I tend to simplify costumes for my au both to make it easier to draw and also to signify their younger ages. It's just fun to play around with costume design ig.

Some more characters!

Jinx, who looks very different between her comic and cartoon self. I did like her pink hair, so decide to see how it would look on her comic self. There's Kole, who also has different designs in comic/cartoons. I think her comic costume is so cool, esp that color pallet! But I love her pink hair in the cartoon, so she's got pink hair here! Just like pink hair a lot lol.

The other pink haired girl is Laethwen, love interest of Ray Palmer in Sword of the Atom. I think I made her hair more pink to better differentiate her from Starfire, also, again I just like pink hair. I wished she and her little kingdom didn't die, in my au Ray saves them! Maybe he relocates them to his backyard or something?

Little Donna and Vanessa doodle, did you know they never once interacted on panel? The closest is when Donna brings her stepsister Cindy to talk to Vanessa instead. I wonder how they would even interact, I know Vanessa wanted to be wonder girl (and resented Cassie for 'taking' it from her). Did she look up to Donna, or wanted her out of the way? Funnily enough Donna wasn't even Diana's sidekick when post-crisis started, due to both their origins being reworked and contradicting each other's timelines. It's all very confusing.

Anyways, some bonus doodles:

Had fun making a new outfit for Laethwen, I imagine she took some inspiration from indigenous groups from the Amazon, seeing as that's where her people crashed into.

Kole's costume is just so beautiful but so complicated, maybe that's why she got killed off so soon in Crisis on Infinite Earths.

Lastly, here's Bette bugging Dick with Barbara being super amused about it. I said in my post about her that I didn't really care about her crush on Robin, which is true, but I still wanted to doodle something making fun of it. Poor Dick is doesn't know how to get outta of this social situation.

Sneak Peak of Dream a Little Dream Of Me Ch2

Fic Summary:

Headed for Whitmore College in the fall, Elena is meant to be enjoying the best summer of what promises to be a very long life as she soaks up every sun-drenched moment of it.

She's so free of romantic entanglements that a blinking neon sign over her head could advertize: single and ready to mingle. And for the first time since junior year, she isn't being forced to deal with psychotic vampires, devious doppelgängers, megalomaniac hybrids, and unhinged immortals with a two-thousand-year bone to pick.

Everything should be perfect.

But then why is she having the strangest dreams about a certain Original…?

Ch2 Sneak Peak:

She was in the house in Reidsville. The derelict dwelling where she had met Rose, and Trevor, and…

Elijah. 

Taking a precursory glance at herself, she easily noticed that she was in the same clothes as that fateful day. The pastel pink Henley with the delicate lace camisole underneath. Straight denim jeans. Her trusty pair of scuffed Converse. The once familiar weight of Rebekah’s necklace dipping into the valley between her breasts. Falling down her shoulders was her straight, heavy, and nearly waist-length hair; just as it had been when she was seventeen and in the fight of her life. Even smeared onto her sleeve was the tacky splotch of dried blood from her misadventure of being linked to a vindictive Katherine. 

Talk about a walk down memory lane…

“Hello there.”

Gasping in startled fright, Elena whirled around so quickly that her hair slapped her in the face when she came to an abrupt halt. Her hand was raised to her chest as her heart wildly rattled inside her rib cage. Her eyes narrowed into a heated glare at the sight of an all too familiar face. 

“You sure seem to enjoy sneaking up on me like some kind of stalker,” she peevishly spat out. 

Adopting an easy stance, with his hands loosely tucked into the pockets of his trousers, he only raised an eyebrow. “We all have to make our own entertainment somehow.” 

“Someone ought to put a bell on you,” she muttered vehemently under her breath, knowing he could hear her perfectly even from across the spacious room. A flash of finespun delight was there and gone from his eyes in only a few seconds. Mapping his expression, she roughly tugged on her shirtsleeve. “Let me guess: even if someone could pin a bell on you, you’d still be infuriatingly silent, and a major creep on top of that.” 

“To be fair,” he placidly countered, seemingly not bothered at all by her prickly scorn. “I’ve had many years to hone my ‘stalker’ skills, as you so eloquently termed them.” 

And honed them, he had. Even now, with him half-hidden in gloomy shadows and attired in the same black-on-black ensemble he had worn the day they met, she could almost feel the predator inside him swimming so very close to the surface of the gentility he wore as easily as his bespoke suits. It immediately took her back to that momentous encounter that changed the course of her life.

“So it seems,” he drawled, as he also took the time to diligently survey their decrepit surroundings. His hair, long as it had been when they had first made the other’s acquaintance, fell across his forehead and into his eyes.

which do you prefer more, staron or winter13 ?

Hmm. Good question! That's a tricky one. Obviously, I was completely ride and die for Staron...and then Endgame happened and Steve went back in time to be with Peggy. Talk about the disrespect. That put a damper on my shipper feelings. I've read some fanfic that has tried to walk it back or be a fix it fic, and while some of them are really well written I just can't find them satisfactorily because Steve choosing Peggy over Sharon is just unforgivable.

In the lead up to TFATWS I was really excited for the prospect of Winter13. And I definitely saw some potential/chemistry in the few scenes they shared during the show. But then they made Sharon the Power Broker and completely decimated her character. I don't care if she turns out to be a Skrull or she's undercover for Fury, the damage has been done. They took everything great about Sharon and stripped it all away to make her into a villain. The worst part, she's not even a competent villain. She led Bucky/Sam right to her golden goose serum guy and got him killed. She lost total control over the Flag Smashers. She lost the last bit of super-soldier serum that was out there. Like, if you're gonna make her a villain, at least make her an evil mastermind. Not...whatever she was in TFATWS.

Really, it's just rough being a Sharon fan. Compound that with the fact that my overall interest in the MCU has waned greatly in the last year or two. I guess I prefer Staron when it was in its prime - which was the CATWS/CACW era.

Summary: A TVD AU set after the end of season four. Freshly graduated from high school and preparing to head to college in the fall, Elena is meant to be having the best summer of her life. But then why is she having strange dreams about a certain Original...?

He looked… Just as he had the day he lured her into the woods and trapped her in the underground caves with his spiteful sister. The devastating day he had used her as the unwitting leverage to force the compliance of the Salvatores in acting against Esther’s murderous scheme. 

Blinking away long past grievances, Elena turned her head to thoughtfully regard the tranquil scenery. What had he once told her about his home? Back when, before catastrophe struck, they had taken a stroll together beneath the rustling leaves of the forest canopy? The nearby waterfall. Wild horses and an indigenous village…

“This is Mystic Falls, isn’t it?” she breathlessly deduced. “This is what it looked like when you were human.” 

Human. That was something Elijah hadn’t been in more than a thousand years. She was looking at Mystic Falls a millennium ago as if she was some kind of intrepid traveler bouncing back through time and space. Great Scott, indeed. 

An appreciative gleam flashed through his eyes at how quickly her brain had puzzled it out. He tilted his chin in answer before looking out and surveying the wide, open lands that had once been his stomping grounds before vampires were the stuff of legends, movies, and insanely popular teen novels. Raising his hand, he pointed a long, elegant finger off to the distance. 

“Beyond that ridge is the village that my family and I called home.” 

Following his pointer, she gazed where he directed her before softly sighing in pleasure as she looked over the terrain. “It’s so gorgeous here. It must have been an amazing place to grow up.” 

Glancing down at her, the corner of his mouth quirked up into the slightest of grins. “It was.” 

In one, graceful swoop, he was sitting beside her with an instinctual ease to his every movement. Even in a restrictive suit, one that seemed more appropriate for a board meeting on Wall Street, everything about him was completely natural and poised; as if he routinely took in the scenery of the great outdoors while in designer threads. For all she knew, maybe he did. Who could guess what his hobbies were? What did an Original do with his free time? What interested him?

Glenda Jackson had a couple of high-profile performances as Queen Elizabeth, but I find much more compelling her portrayal of poet Stevie Smith. Stevie (1978) was directed by Robert Enders based on Hugh Whitemore's play.

So I’ve been working on, uh. Something

INFINITY INCORPORATED, heirs to Diana’s Society and some of the her League’s greatest rivals. Led by The Fury of The Amazons, Hippolyta the Younger.

Lyta’s upbringing was unusual. Raised as the adopted ward of the Trevor family, Apokolips came calling and she was whisked away to train under the New Gods. While Uxas’ court was wary of an heir to Steppenwolf living among them, he saw an opportunity to mold a new weapon in his war against all life, as well as mock the Wonder Woman of Earth and her Old Gods. Like Scott Free, Lyta would break from the Cult of Darkseid and return to Earth. She had changed in her time away and no longer saw her mother as family, but as a rival. The Great Society of Super-Heroes had collapsed not from wars among gods and champions from beyond the stars, but from Diana caving to the needs and whims of mere mortals. Lyta wouldn’t make that mistake. She would seek out raw power in creating her own group.

Taking funding from an unknown benefactor in exchange for continuing to act in competition with the Justice League, Lyta gathered her team:

Tariq Tyler, the new Hour-Man; Beth Chapel, a brilliant young surgeon who had inherited Dr. Mid-Nite’s equipment from his protege, Pieter Cross; Natasha Irons, the Arclight Steel and honorary member of the House of El; Albert Pratt Rothstein, The Atom-Smasher; Sly Pemberton, boy hero turned solo act using Knight Industries tech developed by the original Starman; Obsidian and Jade, the twin heirs to Green Lantern and Johnny Sorrow, pure light and darkness embodied, and the young man-hawk Norda Cantrell and their adopted brother, Hector Hall.

Hector would be Lyta’s chief lieutenant and confidant, and eventually her lover. While briefly leading to her reconnecting to her humanity and even having a child of her own, but Lyta never truly let go of her rage. The loss of Hector and Daniel and her doomed war against The Endless consumed the rest of her immortal life. The rest of the group fell apart for a time shortly after.

Sly’s death, Todd and Jenni’s continued mental health struggles, and Norda’s return to Hawkworld left Al, Rick, Beth, and Tasha without a clear way forward. It would be sometime before Sly’s successor, Courtney Whitmore, would begin to gather the next iteration of the team...

Castlevania: New Blood trailer

A trailer for a live-action Castlevania movie, released today in honor of the series’ 35th anniversary.

If anyone has any ideas for casting, feel free to speak up.

(Open on 22-year-old reporter Colette Whitmore arriving in Amsterdam for her first international assignment. Accompanying her as she disembarks from the plane is cameraman Javier Guerra.)

Javier: Why’d you want to come here so bad?

(Shot of Colette on a balcony, staring at the distant form of a castle.)

Colette (v/o): Something...drew me here. I can’t quite explain it.

(Cut to Colette and Javier on a bus. The passenger beside them is reading a newspaper, with the headline reading “Has the Mystery Castle Appeared Before?” Cut to Sophie Ziegler, a teenage girl who looks much like a female version of Richter Belmont, sitting on her bed with a black-shelled turtle, a blue-scaled dragon, a red-feathered bird, and a white-furred cat, each small enough to be mistaken for a stuffed animal. As the cat crawls into her lap, she turns to stare out her bedroom window.)

Sophie: Maria...it’s happening again.

(Konami logo appears. Cut to Colette and a young Brit named Adam Redgrave in a hotel buffet room, watching a news report about people dying in what look like animal attacks.)

Adam: There are other Belmonts out there...

(Shot of Colette holding the Vampire Killer with a look of awe. Cut back to Colette and Adam.)

Adam: ...but fate has decreed that this is your time.

(Shot of Colette, Javier, Sophie, and Adam approaching the entrance to Dracula’s Castle. Cut to the inside of the first floor hallway as the door creaks open. Shots of the quartet fighting various enemies. Cut to Death watching from a balcony as Adam helps an injured Javier to his feet.)

Death: Dracula was freed from the cycle years ago...

(Cut to the quartet in a room full of portraits. Colette and Javier are looking at paintings of Simon, Richter, Trevor, and Julius, Sophie gently strokes a painting of Maria with a mournful expression, and Adam inspects a painting of Soma Cruz and Alucard. Cut to Death floating through the castle halls.)

Death: ...so why does the castle still keep returning?

(Shot of Adam conjuring a sphere of lightning and holding it aloft. It releases smaller bolts of electricity that shoot off like fireworks and hit the mummies advancing toward him. Shot of Sophie and the four small animals from earlier. She gestures, and they grow larger, transforming into avatars of the Four Symbols. Shot of Javier on his hands and knees as a beam of moonlight shines down on him. He starts to grow larger and change form, shirt and shoes being torn apart. As the change completes, the new werewolf rises to his feet and howls. Cut to Colette standing face to face with Medusa. An aura of confidence emanates from Colette as she draws and brandishes the Vampire Killer.)

Colette: I...am...a Belmont!

(She lashes out with the whip, striking Medusa with enough force to knock her to the floor. As she gets up, hissing angrily, Colette smirks and cracks the whip. Cut to title card.)

Castlevania: New Blood

(Shot of Carmilla inspecting a set of photographs, including one of Sophia. Across from her, Laura lays out several hand-painted cards, each depicting a past wielder of the Vampire Killer, in a line on the floor. Sneak Peak of Dream a Little Dream Of Me Ch2

Fic Summary:

Headed for Whitmore College in the fall, Elena is meant to be enjoying the best summer of what promises to be a very long life as she soaks up every sun-drenched moment of it.

She's so free of romantic entanglements that a blinking neon sign over her head could advertize: single and ready to mingle. And for the first time since junior year, she isn't being forced to deal with psychotic vampires, devious doppelgängers, megalomaniac hybrids, and unhinged immortals with a two-thousand-year bone to pick.

Everything should be perfect.

But then why is she having the strangest dreams about a certain Original…?

Ch2 Sneak Peak:

She was in the house in Reidsville. The derelict dwelling where she had met Rose, and Trevor, and…

Elijah. 

Taking a precursory glance at herself, she easily noticed that she was in the same clothes as that fateful day. The pastel pink Henley with the delicate lace camisole underneath. Straight denim jeans. Her trusty pair of scuffed Converse. The once familiar weight of Rebekah’s necklace dipping into the valley between her breasts. Falling down her shoulders was her straight, heavy, and nearly waist-length hair; just as it had been when she was seventeen and in the fight of her life. Even smeared onto her sleeve was the tacky splotch of dried blood from her misadventure of being linked to a vindictive Katherine. 

Talk about a walk down memory lane…

“Hello there.”

Gasping in startled fright, Elena whirled around so quickly that her hair slapped her in the face when she came to an abrupt halt. Her hand was raised to her chest as her heart wildly rattled inside her rib cage. Her eyes narrowed into a heated glare at the sight of an all too familiar face. 

“You sure seem to enjoy sneaking up on me like some kind of stalker,” she peevishly spat out. 

Adopting an easy stance, with his hands loosely tucked into the pockets of his trousers, he only raised an eyebrow. “We all have to make our own entertainment somehow.” 

“Someone ought to put a bell on you,” she muttered vehemently under her breath, knowing he could hear her perfectly even from across the spacious room. A flash of finespun delight was there and gone from his eyes in only a few seconds. Mapping his expression, she roughly tugged on her shirtsleeve. “Let me guess: even if someone could pin a bell on you, you’d still be infuriatingly silent, and a major creep on top of that.” 

“To be fair,” he placidly countered, seemingly not bothered at all by her prickly scorn. “I’ve had many years to hone my ‘stalker’ skills, as you so eloquently termed them.” 

And honed them, he had. Even now, with him half-hidden in gloomy shadows and attired in the same black-on-black ensemble he had worn the day they met, she could almost feel the predator inside him swimming so very close to the surface of the gentility he wore as easily as his bespoke suits. It immediately took her back to that momentous encounter that changed the course of her life.
