JUST A BIT OF FLUFF? NO WAY! HERE'S WHY YOU NEED SOME COLOURED FURRY STUFF IN YOUR LIFE

You probably didn't realise there was a super-colourful and fluffy hole in your wardrobe – or, indeed, your life – but I hate to break it to you: there most probably is. I know, I know, how ridiculous. Who wants to look like something out of Sesame Street? Well, the high-street seems to think that, in fact, we might. And although at first I was convinced they were wrong (“Who on EARTH will buy this?! Oh wait, I just did…”) I have finally admitted defeat, so I think you should, too. Because if you know how to wear it, I promise that a bit of (colourful) fluff will quickly become your new best friend.

HERE’S WHY…. 1. Because it will instantly make even the most boring of outfits look interesting. Jeans + Coat + Trainers = Oh, I’m wearing the same old thing, yet again (just me?). But throw in a coloured faux-fur collar/hat/gilet et voilà, you have the appearance of having made an effort, when you’ve actually made none at all. Gotta love that. 2. Because in case you haven’t noticed, it is very, very cold outside. Which means it is very, very hard to find anything to wear that is both inspiring and practical at the same time. You see where I’m going with this one, right? Step right up slightly crazy faux-fur coat. You tick both boxes and I think I love you. 3. Because sometimes, especially if you’ve been drinking, you get a little tired on the way home. I’ve found that a colourful fluffy bag makes the perfect night-out bag AND impromptu cushion for your weary head. You can’t say that about a studded clutch can you? Ow. HERE’S HOW…..

Get this Look! Lately, we have seen a lot of t-straps gracing the feet of celebrities and redcarpets. Always known as a classic style, the t-strap is coming in back in updated styles and fabrics. Paired with everything from jeans to dresses, the t-strap is a classic silhouette that is sure to blend in with your entire wardrobe.

Neon- the brighter the better!

Hot pink, citrus yellow and lime green shades are everywhere this season but, if you are a little colour shy this can be an intimidating trend to adopt. I have a few tips as to how you can start working this trend into your wardrobe.

1. Begin with Neon Accessories

Start slowly and begin to incorporate neon accessories into your look. Jewellery, handbags and shoes are the easiest and most inexpensive way to adopt the trend.

2. Wear a Neon Statement Piece

Choose a neon statement piece and keep the rest of your outfit simple. Think a black skirt, singlet and heels and add a splash of colour by adding a neon pink blazer. This will ensure that the neon colour pops and the look doesn't become to OTT.

3. Colour Blocking

If you are feeling daring, why not combine the colour blocking and neon trend? Choose two contrasting neon colours (neon pink/ citrus yellow) and wear the different colour on the upper and lower part of your body. Make sure that the pieces are solid colours and you aren't clashing materials/fabric/patterns otherwise you may look like a patchwork quilt!
