She is also a huge softie around babies and young foals, so perhaps Trailblazer isn’t as emotionally stunted as she thinks she is. She just needs to let herself get more in touch with that side. What happened to Crash, Trailblazer and Iolite's parents in the horror au?

Much like Trailblazer herself, Lightning Dust and Trenderhoof never crossed paths with Iolite in this AU, and she most likely didn’t have time to target them before she was defeated herself.

Iolite already killed their son and she is known for having a pretty big vendetta against couples who are happy and loving, so I think she would have taken out one half of CheeseDash to make them suffer. I personally vote Rainbow Dash for Iolite’s glue factory because I like the idea of her being stuck with Crash in the afterlife. Sorry to Cheese (or you’re welcome for sparing his life)

Ohoho I’m so glad you asked about Iolite’s parents. Sombra would become evil again SO fast if he had a reason to, and watching his daughter follow in his hoofsteps is more than enough of a justification for him. But I think they would just as quickly get into a power struggle, both having different goals for their villainy.

“Father I don’t want them enslaved I want them dead.”

“No let ME destroy the Crystal family!”

And so on.

Zephyr is mind controlled by Sombra like those enslaved soldiers in the show, because there’s no way he or Iolite would let him disagree with them in any way. At one point Sombra tries to put Iolite under his mind control too so he can use her powers in his favor, but her emotions are so strong that it doesn’t work. The backlash of his spell failing is what kills Sombra, and Zephyr too since his own mind control bound him so closely to the doomed king.

Zephyr parallels Summer in that way, being fated to die with the lover they’ve been chained to~
