United States Expansion after the Treaty of Paris in 1783
A map illustrating the expansion of the United States of America following the Treaty of Paris (September 3, 1783), which ended the War of the American Revolution, recognized U.S. independence, and granted it sizeable additional territory. Following the 828,000 square miles (about 2 million square kilometers) "Louisiana Purchase" from Napoleonic France in 1803, the United States doubled in size, and its Westward Expansion began in earnest. In less than half a century, the western border shifted from the Mississippi River to the Pacific Ocean through territories gained from Spain and then Mexico, agreements with Great Britain, and the annexation of Texas.

IFDB - Game
Summary: a game about reading and writing poetry. it is a game about cities, oceans, maps, bookstores, malls, gardens. it is a game about being lost.
This game rest heavily on vibes and poetic prose, with loosely connected spaces, rather than a more traditional story with a clear start and end. Through it all, you explore imagined places in some sort of dream-like state, where poetry take a centre stage, both in the theme, the writing, and the choices.
Because of the style and themes, this will affect some readers more than others. I tend to have a harder time connecting with poetic prose.

An odd trip to Versailles NOT to visit the Palace but to see an exhibition in the building the Hôtel des Affairs étrangères et de la Marine (foreign affairs and the navy). It was built by Jean-Baptist Berthier at the time Louis XV was the king of France. (1762) Looking up as you enter it was impressive and then greeted by a portrait bust of Louis XV. It was in this building that the Treaty of Versailles was negotiated and signed in 1783. This would help put an end to the American War of Independence. . . . #paris #versailles #parisjetaime #treatyofparis #parisart #parislove #parisfind (at Hôtel des Affaires étrangères et de la Marine) https://www.instagram.com/p/CVZ-gwZAJHY/?utm_medium=tumblr

3rd September 1783, the Treaty of Paris is signed ending the American Revolutionary War between Great Britain and the United States of America, which recognized its existence as a free, sovereign, and independent state. 6th September 1757, birth of American patriot and French revolutionary Marquis de Lafayette. A key figure in three revolutions, Lafayette fought during the American Revolution at the Battles of Brandywine, Rhode Island, and the Siege of Yorktown. In 1789 at the start of the French Revolution he was elected as a member of the Estates General, where he helped form the National Constituent Assembly, and assisted by Thomas Jefferson, co drafted the Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen. After the storming of the Bastille, he was appointed head of the National Guard, where trying to steer a middle ground, he fled to Austria after his arrest was ordered by the Jacobins in August 1792. Lafayette was also involved in the July Revolution of 1830. 6th September 1776, first submarine attack in history during the American revolutionary war. American inventor, teacher, medical doctor and engineer, David Bushnell launches his submersible named ‘Turtle’, into the waters of New York City Harbour against the British ship HMS Eagle’. The attack fails, but Bushnell’s utilization of a screw propellor, and water for ballast are still used to this day. In 1787, Bushnell relocated to France where he met fellow American inventor Robert Fulton, In 1800 Napoleon had asked Fulton to build what would become the first working submarine named the ‘Nautilus’. It is possible that Bushnell assisted Fulton with his design. The American Revolutionary war is featured in the historically inspired and original Ofgraveconcern Industrial Sublime Tarot 1760 - 1848. On September 3, 1783 statesmen Benjamin Franklin, John Adams and John Jay signed the Treaty of Paris of 1783, formally ending the American Revolutionary War. The British Crown recognized American independence and ceded most of its Northwest Terriroty east of the Mississippi River to the United States, thereby doubling the size of the nation and making way for westward expansion. The territory included the present-day states of Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin and parts of Minnesota. In September 1783, Great Britain also signed separate peace treaties with France, Spain and the Netherlands, collectively known as the Peace of Paris. #france #paris #treatyofparis #treatyofparis1783 #peaceofparis #unitedstates #usa #us #ohio #minnesota #illinois #netherlands #holland #greatbritain #uk #unitedkingdom #england #spain #españa #indiana #wisconsin #michigan #ushistory #worldhistory #benfranklin #benjaminfranklin #johnadams #johnjay #georgewashington #charlescornwallis #comtederochambeau #siegeofyorktown #americanrevolution #americanrevolutionarywar #continentalcongress #thomasjefferson #henrylaurens #independence https://www.instagram.com/p/B19OxhvgLTA/?igshid=qyhd0lg6xkem
