junkyu doesn't expect to see you standing outside of his and jihoon's apartment. to be honest, everyone thought that the food had arrived for their game night, and thankfully junkyu had drawn the short straw to go lug everything inside. instead, you're there, face wet with tears as you hug yourself again.

"did something happen?" he says softly as he steps out, pulling the door almost shut behind him. he knows the others know that something is going on, but it allows him the slightest privacy. "are you okay?"

you shake your head, and then step forward. he's already wrapping his arms around you as you bury your face into his hoodie, breathing in deeply. his cologne is faint underneath the smell of fabric softener, but you swear you can still smell it. "just..."

he says nothing. you let out a long sigh.

"i dunno. everything just sucks today, and i know i'm ruining your game night, but my roommate went out with her friends and wouldn't pick up and--"

he shakes his head. "it's okay," he says softly, hand rubbing soothing circles onto your back. "do you want to come in? you can watch us play--or join if you feel like it."

i posted a Ruff Ruffman promo from 2011 that i must have saved to my google drive when i was like 13 and i didn't realize it was still there. turns out they reanimated parts of the cold open from episode 1!

the "are we live" comparison shows the two versions one after the other because not only does the 2011 version update the character model for Ruff, it also includes a fresh take of the line recorded by Jim Conroy at some point - thus making it impossible to line up nicely enough for a side-by-side

the "electrical fire" comparison does have a side-by-side using the original audio from ep 1 because the promo also uses this audio but from what i can see they used all the same Flash assets but just moved them around a little bit - the most noticeable part is the rounder character design seen in later seasons

The final arc will consist of a great war among other things. Wano had 149 chapters, assuming the manga has 200 more chapters (it should have more), the 2.5 on average update rate per month including a few month-long breaks warrants almost 7 years. If 300, then 10 years.

Let's hope Oda stays in good health so he can complete his story and fully enjoy the long anticipated series completion celebratory vacation :')

In Where in the world is Carmen Sandiego ? Treasures of knowledge (2001), the game in which Julia Argent first appears, everyone calls her "Jules". Carmen, her new ACME partner Shadow, Chief, probably her mother and her postman. She's called Jules more often than Julia.

In the 2019 Netflix show, she is known as Julia Argent only.

Then comes along Carmen Sandiego, who meets this woman introducing herself as Julia and immediately starts calling her Jules. She is the only person to call her Jules*. She only calls her Jules.

Just a little change between the game and the show that kills me every time I think about it.

*not counting Player that one time in season 4, which is actually very neat because he knows about Julia pretty much only through Carmen, who calls her Jules.
