Puget Sound in better weather! Green and summery! I got a new magenta that I worked in there too and I love it. This is acrylic ink and acryla gouache on @stillmanandbirn zeta paper. I’m realizing that acrylic ink can be great for things like sky and water, where you want really sheer, luminous color. Then acryla gouache layers over it beautifully. This time, I just dropped a little ink on the same paper palette I used for the paint, and ended up mixing it in to other colors. Why do I love Olympic National Park as an elopement location? There’s so many reasons! If you want a good variety in the locations you can go to, Olympic has all sorts of options. There’s rainforests, beaches, coastlines, lakes, alpine tundra, pine forests, & mountains. No shortage of location options here! If you plan an all day elopement, you can explore a lot of these different areas during your elopement. Olympic is just a little over 2 hours from Seattle. Seattle has an amazing food scene, lots of things to see & do downtown, & the Seattle area has great access to a lot of outdoor areas. If you want to stay closer to the park, Port Angeles is a fair sized town with some great places to stay, some good restaurants, & activities like sea kayaking. Some national parks can have a complicated or restrictive permit process, but Olympic makes it very easy! The moody weather in the Pacific Northwest can make for some really unique photos. Every day the clouds & fog are different, creating different sunrises & sunsets, & new perspectives of the landscape each time! So your photos are guaranteed to be unique. Olympic National Park is a very large park, some areas are more popular but because it is such a large park spread across a large area, you can find seclusion if you plan out timing & locations.
