Watercolor nature scenes are well underway! This week's goal is to practice painting in these themed test sketches that represent the full scenes themselves to see which ideas might take root, and which I'll need to work on a little more before I can turn them into full paintings. Lots of new original scene ideas here, but I've also a few Travels with Qrow RWBY watercolor ideas too! I hope these all turn out beautifully! Wish me luck!

Wandering Traveler: I'm sorry to reveal myself like this... (Removes hood)
Summer: I hope you'll forgive me for keeping this a secret from you girls.
Yang: M-Mom...
Ruby: (Sniffles) You're alive~!
Raven: (Thinking) I had no idea! My heart's in my throat right now! How could I have possibly seen this coming?!.
Summer: Of course, I knew you four already figured me out from the start.
Taiyang: I figured you'd be insulted if I couldn't recognize one of the loves of my life...
Qrow: It's pretty obvious, too, since only and Squirt wear that kinda get-up.
Oscar: Oz said it wasn't our place to tell, and I kinda had to agree with him. It's so refreshing, though, that everyone else knew, too, right, Ms. Raven?
Raven: Uh- Y-Yeah, it is. I knew the whole time also...

the maidens were a later addition, but if the vaults and the relics were always a thing, there likely would have been another set of "keys" to unlock the vaults, right.
which, if it's still four people... teams of four... ozpin giving away powers (of being able to open the vaults, not necessarily magic)... what team is broken, each member in different parts of the world (or straight up missing lol)...
. . . team strq brainrot time ✌

RWBY Fanfic Idea
Long time no see, huh? Hope you are all doing well.
So, it's been a while since I watched RWBY Vol9 and we got those epilogue bits and pieces, and I'd like to propose an idea, that for me might have made the show a tad more interesting (Nothing wrong with it essentially, I am just dying for some time travel angst. But that's what fanfics are for).
Because our main heroines find themselves in a journey of self discovery in what seems to be an alternate sub-dimension within the world of Remnant. And then they return to the exact point in time and space where they were supposed to be, missing for a few hours or days pretty much.
So what if, and I say what if, that wasn't the case? What if time flowed differently in the Ever After?
Well then, we have three delicious angst and drama filled scenarios.
Case 1
It works pretty much like Narnia did. I don't rly care much for Salem I must admit, but let's say our heroines get stuck there for a few years. A decade or so. They learn to adapt to the Ever After and its ever-changing tumultuous nature, they make a life for themselves (Perhaps as 4 guardians, each for a season, or a point in the horizon) and become more a family than they ever were. Because all they have from their world is each other. And they learn to function as a unit, never far from one another, always knowing, always caring, always pushing each other to new heights, becoming better and more in sync. And they form this deep intrinsic knowledge of each other, with each duo (and I mean all duos, not just the partner pairs) having its own quirks and habits. So yes, they are a team, yes they are partners or teammates, or girlfriends, but at the same time they are something more, something you cannot exactly put in words.
And somehow, someday they find a way out. The tree finally accepts them or idk what. And when they return to Remnant, they end up in Vacuo, when they left and...they are kids again. They are 18 and 20, instead of 30 and 32. Their bodies feel wrong. Too awkward, too small (R:Ugh, do I have to be the shortest one AGAIN?) cause they aren't theirs anymore. And Yang might find herself tracing across a scar that Blake doesn't have anymore, Weiss' eyes lingering on the missing chunk of an ear that magically is whole again, and rejoicing at looking in Ruby's eyes. Both her eyes. And Ruby can see her teammates, her family, whole again without any scars to show for what they went through, but for those engraved in their souls.
But for the people outside this neat little arrangement, RWBY fell to their deaths, and miraculously returned a few days after, but they came back wrong. There is something stiff and worn in he edge of their expressions, like they have seen too much, like they know too much, and have lost what little innocence they had left. There is danger glinting in their eyes, steely and cold, and downright unsettling. They are different, there is no denying it. They seem more mature, as people and as huntresses, knowing things only experienced huntsmen faced with impossible odds would. There is this aura following them too, one that screams danger and demands respect.
Weiss seems more authoritative than ever before, comfortable in her own skin and creativity, not measuring her worth by her achievements. Ruby is still her optimistic self but she is more confident and sure of herself, like something within her has settled, and finally found its place, nothing like the lost girl hanging by a thread before the fall. Yang's temperament has evened out. No longer fueled by anger and hurt, but by an unbreakable resolve to persevere and will to protect what matters the most to her. And that's not the past that is long gone, not the old grudges that have no worth left in them, but her team, her family. And where Yang has learned to let go, Blake has learned to hold on, to chase for what she wants, to grasp it with both hands and not let go. To face her fears, the trials and tribulations of growing and changing alongside someone, trusting they will stay, and not run away from the monster. And she has learned to face overcome her own shortcomings, and stay. Even when things get rough .
And then there are their interactions with each other, as if they cannot bear to breathe when one of them is not near, eyes frantically searching for their mirror, for the reassurance that it's all okay. The impossible training regimes and semblance evolution. They complete each other as if the four are one, and anything less than that would be incomplete. The constant whispers, and wary glances, the countless inside jokes, and meaningful smiles, only they can interpret. The silent communication, the wordless gestures of comfort, gestures too intimate to be discounted at first glance. But they are oblivious to the raised eyebrows, and the questions hanging from the edges of people's lips. What matters is that they are back and they are together.
They are back, and they look the same, but they are not the same people they were before, and while everyone sees it, no one really dares to say anything. Because there are nightmares. And more often than not, a scream will echo in the desolate camp in the dead of night, followed by a gun shot, or the sound of sth tearing, and the four will huddle together, comforting each other with soft words and sweet nothings that make no sense.
They are the same and yet different, and Winter knows it, because there are times Weiss seems impossibly older in her eyes, so much so that she feels like the little sister instead. Qrow sees Summer in Ruby's steely gaze and rueful smile, and Tai's unbreakable resolve in Yang's smirk. (The sharpness at the edge of it reminds him of Raven a few years back, when the girls were still young, and his sister was the biggest Grim-slaying force this side of Mistral, but he doesn't want think about it.) And when Blake meets her parents again, they think she looks worn and tired, her soul too old for the body it's occupying, but she will always be their little girl, and she has come back and she loves them, melting into their embrace as if she was ten years old once more...
Case 2
They are stuck in the Ever After for 10 or 15 years again. Only this time when they find a way out, they don't change back. And then suddenly in Vacuo, a few days after Atlas falls, while Winter, Qrow Oscar, Nora, Ren and the rest mourn all those they have lost, four strange women appear. (The outfits will have obviously changed, unless somehow they wanted to wear the same thing for 10 or 15 years).
The strangers are huddled together, and check each other for injuries first and foremost before even thinking of facing the other people. And when they do, their breaths hitch and they all collectively freeze. Because the strange travelers, those peculiar women dressed in unfamiliar fabrics, covered in a million and one little scars, look like team RWBY.
But they cannot be, they could never be, for Winter lost her sister three days ago, and the white clad woman looking at her with Weiss' eyes, tear-filled and wide, (so much so that the small vertical scar over the left one wrinkles), could never possibly be the little sister she lost.
Winter spares a glance to the rest of the strangers, never lowering her sword, eyes burning with the chill of a wintry fire, and feels more than hears the spring maiden - Raven Branwen, (the woman who had abandoned her family and then had flown in Vacuo as soon as she felt her bond with Yang snap), whisper a half broken "Summer", her first tightening over Omen's hilt, as she took in a sharp breath - the most unsettled Winter had ever seen her.
The strange woman with silver eyes, clad in red and black instead of white, her face so familiar and yet so different, gives her a small rueful, remorseful smile,
"Not quite." she responds and Winter recognizes that tone, different though it was from mere days before.
"Hey, Uncle Qrow." The golden one smiles and winks, and there's something lingering in her amethyst hued eyes, something like nostalgia 'long time no see' and 'I missed you'. She is impossibly tall, taller than the last time Winter saw her, and somehow broader and more muscular. She reminds her of Elm a bit if the other Ace Op was built like a bear and shone like the Sun. A strong hand was settled comfortably over the shoulders of the woman's black and indigo clad faunus partner, bringing her close.
Winter's head reels, and her gaze hops from one to the other, her mind trying to make peace with what her soul already knew. Blake Belladonna's golden gaze (because it could be no one else, standing tall and resilient, long black hair swaying in the hot desert wind, studded cat ears stiff and alert, long graceful fingers wrapped along the hilt of her obsidian colored blade) stays on her. It is sharp and inquisitive, curious, heavy with experience and knowledge, and it weighs on her shoulders, as she remains still with her sword extended, examining the unlikely band of not so strangers.
They were women now. Full grown, and different, nothing like the kids that fell into the void what felt like an eternity ago.
Qrow's half choked "Firecracker?" and Raven's disbelieving curses barely reach her ears as she hones in on the white-haired woman again, letting her gaze linger on the scar on her collarbone and the shoulder length white hair fashioned in a low ponytail not unlike the one she sported herself. Her eyes, blue like the summer sky, and so much brighter than her own were still wide, as if drinking the sight of her, as if she hadn't seen her three days before, Winter's visage being the last thing she saw before falling to the void.
"Winter?" it's barely more than a whisper, and Winter doesn't know how to feel because it sounds so much like her sister and so much like Willow (I hc that of the sisters Weiss is more similar to Willow appearance wise.) that she lowers her sword and collapses on the ground half sobbing her sister's name (I think it would make a great parallel to when she fell and Winter called it out so brokenly... top tier voice acting)
They'll probably call Robyn to verify their story and when they do there will be a loooot of tears and confusion and hurt and pain and anger and DRAMA, so much drama, I think I could right a book abt the Schnee family drama and trauma if that ever happened.
Things will be hard from then and on, because Winter's little sister is now older than her, and she can spy the crows feet starting to appear at the edges of her eyes, and the laugh lines around her mouth, her skin tanner than Winter could ever imagine it would be. She carries herself like a leader, like she never had to step from someone's shadow, much less Winter's own. She looks like she finally knows her worth and has another three people being there for her unconditionally when she needs it. I won't even start on Whitley who lost another decade from his sister's life without either their input, just when he had started bonding with her again, or Willow. Man, I think that Willow seeing Weiss as a thirty something grown woman (that looks so much like her before Jacques, before her own life started going downhill) would warrant a relapse. A big one.
Qrow is probably going to get himself hammered after all this and Raven will join him. Like imagine them looking at a Ruby that is now as old - if not older - than Summer was when she died. A Ruby that looks almost exactly like Summer, but has grown into herself as a huntress and a team leader, that has learned to bear the burden and share it when it gets too much. A Ruby Qrow can no longer call squirt - she is almost as tall as him now, and built with the lean hard muscle of someone that sprints for a living - and Raven cannot underestimate. A Ruby that reminds her so much of Summer, but is so different from her old leader, that has found her own brand of strength and settled into it in ways neither she nor Summer could.
And then there is Yang. Yang that has Raven's face, but Tai's golden complexion and has grown into his strong broad built (I imagine her more like a strongwoman than a calisthenics type of muscular). Yang that does finger-guns at Qrow like she is sixteen, and looks at Raven with little anger in her amethyst hued eyes. Yang that looks so much tired when the chaos settles down, and embraces her team clinging desperately to them, whispering "we are home, we made it", when things get too much for them. That has taken to mothering Nora and the rest of the kids, because they are kids. What for them was 3 days for RWBY was 15 years. And they haven't been kids in a long time. She still has her playful side don't worry, the puns are being served with a Yang.
And last but not least Blake. Blake that has found her home with the others, that has learned to trust and be trusted, that doesn't hide who she is for anyone's benefit. A brilliant tactician, a creative bright mind, a spirit writhed in shadows. Lean, tall, positively feline, a stealthy predator at its best, she has fallen into her role with the others easily enough, and it's plain for all to see that she offers her quiet support, with soft words that cut at the edges and tender embraces with the undertone of protection and support. Blake who ran away from home at 12 (I think) only to come back at 18, and then disappear again at 20. And just the amount of pain the Belladonnas must have experienced losing her for a second time, and then having her appear again, only she has aged another 15 years since they last saw her. They probably feel like their daughter's life is slipping by them, and they'll never rly have enough time with her. Their little girl comes back an independent teenager and then a grown woman, with a bit of Ghira's imposing build and all of Kali's feminine guile. A cat Faunus that moves like a panther, sharp liquid gold eyes honing in every minute detail. A woman whose heart sings of pain and loss, and perseverance and love, a stranger with their blood in her veins they could not be prouder of.
Yeah, that family pain hits hard in this one. And lastly,
Case 3
The gang does stay in the Ever After for a few days indeed, but out in Remnant it has been years. Salem is over with idk how, and yeah our friends go to the blacksmith and everything but when they return to Remnant, everything is different. The world has moved forward and changed without them.
Menagerie is a kingdom now apparently, and has its own huntsmen academy. Ghira and Kali have thrown themselves into making this work, overcome as they were with the second and final loss of their only child. So imagine when they get a call or see Blake for the first time in more than a decade. But their little girl looks exactly the same as she did when she fell, and they are...old. Ghira's beard and hair has been going gray and he's lost some muscle mass, and Kali's proud stature is diminished, and the ever present smile on her lips has barely made an appearance in years. So I suppose it will be painful as heck for them to accept that Blake is back. They;ll never let her go when they do though...So angst, yeah.
Tai will have shut down. He has no one left apart from Qrow. And well I d like to give it a twist here and say that when Raven feels her bond with Yang snap, and realizes that well her daughter is not coming back, she does a bit of a reevaluation of her priorities and either completely loses herself, trying to keep that strength facade, or gets her shit together, cause her brother and ex need her, and STRQ kinda reunites. No Ozpin though, that would be too far. And then Ruby and Yang appear, as old as the day they left, and well... I think Qrow would get drunk, Tai would melt into a mess, and Raven would deny it all. Seeing Ruby and Yang reacting to their family being so old will be interesting. As well as Yang's relationship with Raven given the revelations that yes, her selfish, coward, asshole of a mother actually has a heart in there somewhere.
The Schnees will be again the most angsty I think. I say Willow managed to pull herself from the bottom of the bottle for Winter and Whitley, and took back the SDC and is now on the way to retirement. Winter is the new General, and even has a family of her own perhaps and Whitley is practically next in line for the company. And then Weiss appears. And its a shock. Because Whitley is now older than her. Taller, though still with the dancer's built he sported since he was a kid. Only he has activated his aura and semblance now and has a goatee. And a partner. And a kid on the way.
Winter on the other hand is head of the Atlas military has introduced a bunch of new policies with Robyn and they both work toward stabilizing Atlas and making sure to avoid the whole Ironwood thing. Or well ironwood 2 at this point. And Winter loves Robyn( It's mutual). They are all but married at this point, having spent too many nights with Winter drowning in her own guilt, paralyzed by feelings too big for her heart to contain. Too many desperate moments when things are tight, with Winter gripping Robyn's hand like a lifeline saying that she isn't turning to another Ironwood and that she is doing what she can with whatever supplies she has, visibly relaxing and melting in relief when it flashes green. With Robyn whispering sweet nothings to her ear and Winter encouraging her when things seemed dire, with them reminding each other to take it slow and relax for it to be any different.
Winter has made up with May, and the Happy Huntresses are her own little family, a home away from home. They have probably adopted a bunch of kids probs from Mantle and raise them all together. And then Weiss appears. And it's one of the little ones that notices and asks, tugging at the coat Miss Winter is wearing, asking her why the girl in blue looks so much like her. And then angst I suppose. It would be interesting exploring their dynamic a bit more, especially if we go with the route that Winter helped raise Weiss quite a bit before she left for the military, and how that sisterly/motherly relationship changes- if it does at all - now that her sister is back from the dead. Seeing Winter grapple with her guilt, or her anger years after and all that jazz.
Well, that's the post folks! Let me know what you think! If anyone takes these ideas and actually writes a fic pls @ me so that I can read whatever wonderful things y'all come up with!
Till the next one! Take care and stay hydrated!

What do you want to do when the war is over?
Team RWBY and company rest near a campfire while enjoying each other's company.
Qrow: So kids, have plans for what you're going to do after this is over?
Ruby: I think I'll continue being a huntresses.
Weiss: I will take possession of what remains of my family business
Yang: I think I'll start teaching combat classes at some school like my dad.
Blake: I will work with my dad at Menagerie
Nora: Ren and I continue traveling, fighting monsters and saving the innocent.
Ren: *nods*
Oscar: I think I'll go back to my farm.
Qrow: That all sounds good. And how about you Juan, what do you plan to do when all this is over?
Jaune: First of all it's "Jaune". And what I want to do is find a woman who will work hard for me! I'm going to become a Househusband!
Qrow: Are you serious?
Jaune: Of course! After everything that happens, I want to live a quiet life cooking and doing housework, while I wait for my dear wife to return!
At that moment the girls of team RWBY began to imagine Jaune wearing an apron while cooking, telling them with a big smile "Welcome home, dear!" Well, most of them were thinking that.
Jaune: Maybe it is a bad dream?
Ruby: *Blushing* Not at all!
Weiss: *Trying to hide her blush* Nowadays it is normal to be a househusband.
Yang: *Winks at him* You would look great in an apron.
Blake: *Nose bleeding* Only wearing an apron., hehehe~ *She says quietly*
She was the one thinking something else.
Jaune: *Smiling* Thank you!

ALLUSION ANALYSIS: SUMMER & RAVEN
I always wanted to do a deep dive on Summer & Raven’s characters, and after that finale I think it’s time. So as we all know RWBY characters are based on fairy tales & stories of real life. I want to dissect the inspirations for Summer & Raven & analyze why it’s so interesting that these two are paired together.
So Summer’s base allusion is from the poem The Last Rose of Summer. Her grave has lines from the poem, her name, etc. The actual poem is an allegory for death & the acceptance of it. “Thus Kindly I Scatter” refers to the act of peacefully dying and being returned to the universe, not to mention her intentional ghost like appearance.
As for her secondary allusion, well, she basically fills all the remaining roles in Little Red Riding Hood. She’s the (grand)mother Ruby visits, the wolf with the shiny big eyes, & the brave huntsman with the ax. This telling of Little Red is a lot more Grimm than the original, pining Summer with a not so happy ending.
Now onto Raven. A lot of people think her base allusion is Huginn, one of Odin’s all-seeing ravens. Although this is true, it is not her base allusion, but her secondary. Secondary allusions only work when another character is involved. She can’t be Huginn without Munnin (Qrow) or Odin (Oz). Odin’s ravens were meant to represent his eyes, so when Huginn left, he lost one of his eyes. Similar to how Cinder’s lost eye was revealed after her fight with Raven.
Her real base allusion is of the poem The Raven by Edgar Allen Poe. The poem is about a talking Raven consulting a man about losing his loved one. Both of Raven’s allusions come full circle within her fight against Cinder in Volume 5. Cinder’s theme song has been teased since her introduction & it ended up being a diss track about her downfall and telling her to accept her death. The entire scenario played out as if this was Cinder’s final fight. And of course, Raven was there. And you know who else died there? Vernal. Raven officiated her passing by closing her eyes for her, one again linking Raven with death, just like the poem.
Now, we have a theme here. Both Summer & Raven take cues from poems about death & passing & acceptance. With all of this information, rewatch their scene again. Raven, the death doula, is sending Summer, the Last Rose, to her death, and Summer is accepting it. That’s why she left the rose pendant with Ruby. Deep down she knew there was a major chance that she wouldn’t come back. But she accepted that fact. She then traveled with Raven to hopefully put an end to Salem, but this is where both of their stories come to a plot hole.
How can someone accept death if they can’t die??

Yang: you know, I always thought you'd be dating my sister.
Jaune: ... Why?
Yang: I mean, you are her best friend, you traveled with her, but instead you choose Penny, who was a head for half the travel, a torso for a quarter and only got completely fixed when you arrived in mistral.
Jaune: I mean, can you blame me!? I fixed her internal myself, i technically touched her heart in more than just the figurative senses! That kinda builds a relationship really quick!
Yang: ... Ok, yeah. Fair enough.
Jaune: Beside, had i tried dating your sister, you would have killed me, your uncle would have had a "talk" with me and your father would have probably brought me for a "hunt" in the backyard.
Yang: I wouldn't have minded really... But you might be completely on the spot for Qrow and my dad.

Jaune is Harem Caesar
*Senate floor before meeting*
Cardin: What does he want now?
Ren: It appears he'll ask for another set of emergency powers as well as approval of Senate to add ten more wives to his harem.
Cardin: Again? Again?!
Ironwood: As far as I see this, he is consolidating the power before proclaiming himself dictator.
Adam: Look who's talking.
Ren: Let's not assume things Senator Ironwood. Besides I'll hand him a petition to sign today. I assure you our Divine Leader will approve of it.
Adam: Divine Leader? When did he add that crap?
Ren: Last week while you were absent. You should really stop stalking Blake. According to the new law you could get arrested for disturbing Divine Leader's wife.
Sun: Dude definitely, his goons beat me up yesterday for just looking at Blake.
Neptune: No dude, they beat you up because you were piss drunk and refused to show driver's license. Then you asked officer to check your pants for hidden bananas.
Sun: Potato-potato.
Adam: Typical bootlicker...
Cardin: Don't you think Jauney Boy has to...
Ren: Divine Leader Jaune.
Cardin: Sigh... Don't you think Divine Leader Jaune has took things bit too far?
Ren: He did help to save the world, he is owed at least some gratitude.
Sun: Well I helped as well and all I got was this lousy toga.
Adam: I think we might need a revolution.
Oscar: Shhhh, here he comes.
*Jaune enters the Senate*
Divine Leader Jaune: Gentlemen... Cardin. I've come to ask for more emergency powers.
Adam: Again? What happened to last ten emergency powers?
Glorious Divine Leader Jaune: Those were hardly enough. Do you expect me to run this country with just that?
Adam: Wait a minute...
Invincible Glorious Divine Leader Jaune: What's the matter Senator Taurus?
Adam: You title just increased!
Indomitable Invincible Glorious Divine Leader Jaune: I fail to see your point.
Ironwood: At this point he'll add every possible title except Dictator.
Savior of Remnant, Indomitable Invincible Glorious Divine Leader Jaune: I'll consider those emergency powers added since I didn't see any complaints. Moving on. I wish to add ten more wives to my modest Harem of 1566.
Cardin: Ten more wives? This is outrageous! How is any of us suppose to get a wife?
Qrow: As if that was stopping you.
*laughter in Senate room*
Light of Vale, Savior of Remnant, Indomitable Invincible Glorious Divine Leader Jaune: Since Cardin has been sufficiently owned, this also passes. Moving on. I demand funding for time travel and alternate universe travel projects.
Ironwood: That sounds incredibly costly. For what purpose may I ask?
Light of Vale, Savior of Remnant, Fearless, Indomitable Invincible Glorious Divine Leader Jaune: You see, I wish to add younger version of Maria Calavera to my Harem. As for the alternate universe travel, I wish to add female versions of some of you to my Harem. I suspect female Adam and Oscar might be to my liking.
Adam: Yeah, I'm fucking killing him.
Oscar: Shhhh, Ren is handing him the petition.
Ren: Divine Leader Jaune!
Conqueror of Grimmlands, Light of Vale, Savior of Remnant, Fearless, Indomitable Invincible Glorious Divine Leader Jaune: Please Ren, use the full title.
Ren: *breathes in* Conqueror of Grimmlands, Light of Vale, Savior of Remnant, Fearless, Indomitable Invincible Glorious Divine Leader Jaune, I'd like you to sign this petition. It's to limit some of your powers and redistribute some of your wives to your loyal subjects.
Founder of Peace, Conqueror of Grimmlands, Light of Vale, Savior of Remnant, Fearless, Indomitable Invincible Glorious Divine Leader Jaune: Frankly, this is absurd.
Ren: What?
Ruler of Universe, Founder of Peace, Conqueror of Grimmlands, Light of Vale, Savior of Remnant, Fearless, Indomitable Invincible Glorious Divine Leader Jaune: Ren you can't expect me to sign off some of my wives, they all have a valuable purpose. Nora for example is an excellent titty cup holder. You expect me to make such a sacrifice?
Ren: You use Nora as a titty cup holder?!
About to be Stabbed, Ruler of Universe, Founder of Peace, Conqueror of Grimmlands, Light of Vale, Savior of Remnant, Fearless, Indomitable Invincible Glorious Divine Leader Jaune: Only on Tuesdays. Wait... what was that new title?
Ren: You know what, stab him! *pulls out a knife and stabs Jaune*
Stabbed Jaune: Ugh... my titles faded away. Someone help me!
Qrow: Gotcha kid! *slips and accidentally stabs Jaune* Ufff, my Semblance and alcohol are not a good combination.
Adam: Long live the Revolution! *stabs Jaune*
Sun: Nothing personal Dude. *stabs Jaune*
Tai: There can only be one blonde with multiple partners. *stabs Jaune* Also, I saw you post those pictures of Yang and Ruby *stabs Jaune again*
Cardin: I've been waiting for this! *misses Jaune* Aw come on!
Tyrian: I'm not even member of this Senate, but I've heard we are stabbing someone. *stabs Jaune multiple times*
*Jaune backs away*
Stabbed, Ruler of Universe, Founder of Peace, Conqueror of Grimmlands, Light of Vale, Savior of Remnant, Fearless, Indomitable Invincible Glorious Divine Leader Jaune: You snivelling cowards! How dare you stab me! And get that stupid thing out of my title!
Ruler of Universe, Founder of Peace, Conqueror of Grimmlands, Light of Vale, Savior of Remnant, Fearless, Indomitable Invincible Glorious Divine Leader Jaune: I'm a Harem King! You can't defeat me! Do you know how many Harem fics do all of you have? ZERO! Now face me if you dare!
*Oscar sneaks up behind Jaune and stabs him*
Stabbed Jaune: Ugh, even you Oscar? Is this because of Ruby?
Oscar: Kind of. I mean I was pretty mad when you took Ruby as one of your wives. But then you also took my aunt... and demanded I start calling you Daddy Arc. But that part about you taking my alternate self as your wife kind of creeped me out the most.
Stabbed Jaune: Fair enough. *dies*
Adam: Gentlemen... H*mans... Revolution has prevailed!
*everyone cheers*
Ren: Now all we need to do is elect a democratic leader. No more Divine Leaders.
Adam: In that case, I elect myself as a new leader and as a first edict I take Blake as my wife!
Ironwood: No, I shall be the new leader! I'm the one with most experience taking over things.
Cardin: Oh no boys, this is a start of Cardin era.
Sun: Dude fuck off, nobody even likes you.
*Yang closes the book*
Blake: So what do you think?
Yang: Was that previous description of VB "plundering my holes" really necessary?
Blake: It adds to the immersion, brutality of the setting.
Yang: Blake, sweetie, for the love of Gods, could you stop writing stories like this?

A Rosegarden by Any Other Name Would Smell As Sweet
AKA Reasons Why Rosegarden is Canon #015: Ruby and Oscar's Multiple Shared Allusions to Other Fairytale Love Stories
Typical disclaimer that while all characters within the RWBY narrative have a main allusion, they often have secondary allusions that apply to the roles they fill in relation to other characters stories. Like how Yang is Goldilocks on her own, but becomes the Beauty to Blake's Beast when paired together.
The first, most notable example for Rosegarden is, of course, The Little Prince (expanded upon here). Oscar's primary allusion is of a boy who grows up on a planet "scarcely bigger than himself, who was in need of a friend", and one of his most influential relationships is that to a rose with whom he loves. They spend much of the story separated from one another, while the prince wanders lost in a desert, pining for a way to reunite with her back home.
Important to note this isn't the only time Ruby has been a Rose for another fairytale. She also slots in as the Rose Red to Weiss' Snow White, she acts as the successor to her mom as The Last Rose of Summer, and she also stands in as the Enchanted Rose to Bumbleby's Beauty and the Beast given how it's a "true loves kiss will break the spell before the last petal falls" situation... and BB kisses two episodes before Ruby Rose "dies".
The second notable allusion for Rosegarden is the Warrior in the Woods (expanded upon further here), a canon RWBY fable from The Fairytales of Remnant. The very first story within the book is about a village boy who becomes a huntsman after being inspired by a huntress he meets in the woods. A huntress, I might add he fell in love with the moment he saw her silver eyes.
Something to note about both of these examples, is that they are each stories with a focus on caring for someone else in unique ways. With The Little Prince, the Rose is vain and has many demands and asks the prince to tend to her; while in WitW, the warrior works tirelessly without thanks to protect a village. When the boy meets her, he starts looking after her for a change because he figures that's the least he can do to repay her. Both of these tie in well to RG's dynamic of Ruby carrying such heavy responsibilities alone, with Oscar making a conscious and active effort to help her shoulder those burdens.
The third, more subtle allusion, is their respective ties to The Wonderful Land of Oz. Oscar's first confirmed allusion before the Little Prince reveal was originally to Princess Ozma/Tip, the heir to the Kingdom of Oz given his proximity to Ozpin as the man behind the curtain, as well as to fit a "genderbend" character within the framework of team JNPR.
How does Ruby tie into this one? Well, we have to work backwards a bit. Ozpin's initial four lieutenants were all linked to the original cast of Oz:
Qrow as The Scarecrow without a mind (travels around as a crow and is regularly inebriated)
Ironwood as the Tin Man without a heart (his multiple cyborg prosthetics and character development in Atlas)
Lionhart as The Cowardly Lion (his fear overtakes him and pushes him to join forces with Salem to save his own skin)
Theodore as Dorothy Gale (donning ruby gauntlets instead of the traditional red slippers)
But RWBY is a story about legacies and breaking cycles. With the new generation of huntresses in Oz's inner circle, they replace those who came before them.
Blake takes Lionheart's place (cat faunus that ran out of cowardice, only to become brave and return to the fight)
Weiss as the Tin Man (aka Ice Queen, who's heart melted as she became kinder and grew more attached to those around her)
Yang the Scarecrow (no longer blindly following orders, but making an active effort to question the words and intentions of those around her)
Ruby as Dorothy (her little dog Zwei and the red - or silver, depending on movie or book adaptation - slippers that lead them all on their journey)
Why bring up Oscar as Princess Ozma and Ruby as Dorothy? Well, according to the original books and not the movie, "Dorothy and Ozma are each other's closest relationship" as illustrated here:
Very good friends. Just gals being pals. Sharing the responsibilities of leadership with one another. Smooching in the palace gardens. Dorothy as the only one who's allowed in Princess Ozma's rooms without an invitation. #BFFS4EVA
These are all the canon ones that are easy enough to parse, but there are some similarities to others famous stories that can be found with a bit of squinting that I will also share just for fun.
The first is how Ruby's experience in the Tea Party acts as a near perfect display of Romeo and Juliet's ending. For those unfamiliar with - or who have forgotten - the bard's infamous tragedy, it is a story about two star-crossed lovers very much doomed by the narrative. It ends with Juliet faking her death without telling Romeo. So when her prince charming comes across what he believes to be her corpse, he drinks a vial of poison and kills himself out of grief. When Juliet wakes and sees he has left her, she takes his dagger and stabs herself so they might be together.
In the tea party, Ruby fills the shoes of Romeo and Oscar of dear Juliet. Oscar is "killed" by Ruby's blade, but it is an illusion. He's not real. Like Juliet, he's not really dead. However, the vision is still enough to push Ruby into drink a vial of poison (the tea that takes her to the tree), giving up in the face of her grief, just as Romeo does.
And if we need any more evidence for this one, can't hurt to bring up the infamous quote of Juliet wherein she likens her love to an oh-so-familiar flower:
What's in a name? That which we call a rose By any other name would smell as sweet;
A line that Juliet says to proclaim that if her Romeo weren't a Montague, then she would still love him regardless, but through which implies that it would be easier for them to be together if he were not himself. And within V9, Ruby's cited motivation to go to the tree is because she doesn't want to be herself any longer.
And last, but certainly not least, is how a lot of ships within RWBY seem to have fairly direct parallels to the myth of Eros and Psyche. It is a classical tale about the trials of love, putting the protagonists under multiple tests of loyalty and attachment before letting the two lovers unite at the end. Both love stories within Beauty and the Beast and Snow White and Rose Red pull inspiration from the myth, and we see it in CRWBY's approach to writing romances throughout the show thus far.
Blake and Yang being separated, breaking and rebuilding trust, before coming together in V9; Ren and Nora going through trials and conflict, currently apart now so they might discover who they are on their own before re-uniting with one another again; and Rosegarden having constant reunions, separations, and trials with strong focuses on their attachment to each other. Another common archetype they use from Eros and Psyche is that of the "Animal as Bridegroom", wherein at least one of the partners undergoing a transformation that is often monstrous in nature.
Bumbleby is self explanatory
WhiteKnight has the issue of Jaune being lost to time and becoming an Old Man, who's curse is reversed by magic. It alludes to his role as the Prince within Snow White and Rose Red who was initially turned into a bear via a curse
Rosegarden, has this instance for both characters. Oscar as an Ozcarnation (becoming something he doesn't want via a curse they are trying to break before time runs out) and Ruby's future fate should she be captured by Salem (being turned into a Grimm by the wicked witch - or eaten by the wolf - like her mother before her).
All of these line up with the myth's structure as well as Monty's foundational philosophy on love stories that we see in his quote from many years ago:
A lot of these all have really tragic endings so uh. Good thing RWBY likes to subvert the stories it's telling, right? They're going to get a happy ending, right CRWBY???? 😰

Pilot AUs Masterlist
Ever wondered what the fuck all my AUs are about? Well wonder no longer!
This is a list of all of my AUs (so far), or at least all of the ones I could find. They all have summaries and most have links to where fics have been posted, or to the tag on Tumblr where all the posts are about it
I will keep updating this as more AUs happen, because I am sure more AUs will happen. Also, I can’t tag all of the AUs in this post, there are literally too many
(List under the cut)
MIA
The Original AU
Jaune gets kidnapped and beat the fuck up for information
Literally just whump the entire time
BNHA
What’s on the tin
The kids but if they were in the place of BNHA characters
Fullmetal
What’s on the tin
The kids but if they were in the place of FMAB characters
Tour Group
RNJR + Qrow get lost on their way to Mistral and basically just fuck around on vaction
Very bad fashion from Jaune
VERY cracky
Sun, Neptune, and Ilia end up coming along with the plot when RNJR don’t show up
The whole plot still happens, it’s just treated VERY much for comedy
Paperwork
If Roman was told to go to hell he simply wouldn’t
After the boy dies he goes to heaven because nobody was paying attention and he snuck through the door with all the other fucking million people who died the night of the Fall
Hangs out with Summer, Pyrrha, and sometimes Penny and they watch the plot through the clouds
Stranger Things
What’s on the tin
The kids but if they were in Stranger Things
Not a straight up character replacement, actual different plots because of the different personalities
Mistral
Everyone gets to Mistral, fights at Haven, and they go no further
Buy a house and all live together while doing missions and being domestic
Jaune gets his ass kicked every other week
That’s it, that’s the plot

Daemon
What it says on the tin
They’ve all got daemons but the plot is the same

Different characters take different places as necessary for the plot
Godly parents are all different

When you get hurt, your soulmate blooms flowers in the same place
Vibrancy and size of the flowers depends on the severity of the injury

Time Travel
Oscar gets sent back in time for fix-it purposes, but not as far as you’d think
Timeline diverges during the finale of V7, when ALPN end up in the vault during the Maiden nonsense
Some doomed timeline shit happens and literally EVERYONE dies before Oscar and Jaune’s eyes
Oscar unlocks his semblance (time travel whoopee) and Jaune boosts him so he can go back and F1X TH1S
Blooming

Least thought through honestly
Canon but if everything boiled down to being somehow because of Qrow’s bad luck
VERY cracky
LOTR
What it says on the tin
Character replacement AU but with some MAJOR things changed for to make sense
Plot is the same, but how they get there might not always be
Flying Monkeys
Sun gets kidnapped by Salem for Grimm body part experiments and all he gets are wings and a boat load of trauma
Finally one not about Jaune
Oops looks like Sun got fuckin tortured for months all so I could make a dumb pun oops
The only one of these with a whole comic done about it
WAY more stuff in my head than necessary
Fallen Angel
Jaune and MOST of the baddies are kidnapped as children and experimented on by Salem as she tries to make them into angels and become a god
Less complicated than it sounds
User/Reader influenced
Modern AU of Remnant, timeline diverges after the gods leave
Magic is taken away and EVERYONE is made into part animal part humans
Nobody is bird though, and they’re more animal than Faunus
The gang literally fistfights “god”
Wings
Canon but if everyone had bird wings
Way more lore than necessary
The plot is the same, HarmonyLight and I just did a hell of worldbuilding
CatsVDogs
V9 AU where Jaune and the Curious Cat get into a relationship during his time trapped and it’s all downhill from there
CC is hella abusive, Jaune gets hella traumatized, it’s a bad time
Jaune’s shadow is sorta sentient
CC is a twinky tumblr sexyman catboy
Jaune gets possessed by CC instead of Neo, but he gets better
Voices
After the Fall Jaune starts being able to hear voices of dead people
Mostly can hear Huntsmen because they’re Auras are stronger
Mostly thinks he’s going crazy because Ren, Nora, and Ruby can’t hear the voices
Boy is stressed, and tired, and at the end of his rope
Wolf
Werewolf AU I made because it was Spooky Season
Jaune gets mauled by a Beowolf as a child and will turn into one when he gets too emotional
He can’t control it though
Runs away after blowing up at Pyrrha and saves Cardin in wolf form at Forever Fall
Starstuff
The one where Jaune glows when he’s happy because he’s LITERALLY sunshine boy
Everyone has nature related powers that slowly awaken to show that the gods are coming back
Wrote most of it in 2021 to HarmonyLight and then forgot about it for two years
DND
Started as the gang playing DND, turned into the gang LIVING in DND
Not in Feyrun, set in a DND-ified version of Remnant
Characters are not the classes/races you’d think
Way too much thought put into it
Mando
The Arcs are similar to the Mandalorians, but that’s where the Star Wars ends
Jaune adopts Oscar and eventually Nora
Fluff ensues
Twins
“Hey, Yang and Jaune look kind of alike” taken to the extreme
Jaune is abandoned by Raven and raised by the Arcs
Parent Trap realization/angst ensues
Twins have a psychic bond
Mirror Man
Jaune retreats WAY far into the RK persona
RK “kills” Jaune to protect everyone from “a horrible killer”
Very angst much ouch
Not actually DID, just mentally protecting himself from V8 trauma
Modern Magic
That’s it, that’s the AU
Inspired by all those modern witch AUs I used to read back in 2014 MCYT
Set in “real world” and they’re all in college
Man out of Time
Jaune is a timelord, but he isn’t the Doctor, I literally can’t stress this enough
His TARDIS crashed and he was adopted by the Arcs
Regenerates way too often for how long he’s been alive
Healing Rust
Yo that boy’s got hella trauma, let’s speak on that
Set after V9 and written as a MAJOR healing fic
Oneshots inspired by asks sent in
Royalty
Obligatory royalty AU
Jaune and Weiss are the royals, Pyrrha is Jaune’s guard
Everyone is involved somehow
There’s angst in The Plot, but mostly it’s just Armoured Angel
Fusion
Jaune’s Semblance manifests as a way to fuse the souls of two people, combing their bodies
Two people can fuse, but Jaune has to have fused with both of them first
LOTS of art of different character fusions
Angst and identity issues galore
Burning Knight
When Penny is killed, Jaune inherits the powers
“Woohoo, time to repress this”
Egg cracking is pushed off until RWBY fall into the Ever After
Jaune is a girl who feels like a guy, still uses he/him pronouns
Hare’s Breadth
Jaune dies on the tower during the Fall, Pyrrha survives
Blacksmith repairs him to prevent a paradox
Juniper is used to repair since his body was dissolved by Cinder
Angst and fluff and being confused about why the hell he’s alive and a jackalope-taur
Knights in Time
Jaune and Weiss are sent back to Volume 1 by the Blacksmith
Time travel fix-it ensues
Starts with White Knight, eventual Armored Angels

honestly? the only way i would except the “raven killed summer” thing is if she killed her in self defense. but really, summer being alive is a much more compelling narrative than her “sacrificing herself for the greater good” or whatever
for real
i’m continuing to place my bets on “gretchen the last spring maiden died taking a blow from summer meant for raven,” especially because it occurred to me recently that there’s a dead simple explanation for how this could happen without summer (and by extension, salem) knowing that raven became the spring maiden:
girl jumps in front of raven to bodily shield her—she’s probably within raven’s reach. raven catches her before she hits the ground and, on reflex, snaps both of them through a portal to be near qrow, leaving summer behind
(qrow’s probably dead asleep because it’s the middle of the night. think landing in the field outside an inn, or something)
prev maiden is mortally wounded and will clearly not survive without immediate medical intervention—a la penny and jaune. raven realizes this as soon as they fall out of the portal, and either sits with her while she dies or slits her throat to make it quick
raven is now the spring maiden, to her horror.
raven tries to open a portal back to summer in a vengeful rage—but either the bond has been outright destroyed by this betrayal, or it’s still there but the shattering of raven’s trust caused it to ‘close’ so she knows where summer is but can’t travel through the bond to reach her anymore.
summer knows the spring maiden was absolutely going to die within minutes, and assumes (rightly) that if raven inherited the magic, she’d use her semblance to come after summer and smush her like a bug.
when this doesn’t happen, she figures the spring maiden must have died with someone else in her thoughts, and later relays this reasoning to salem, who finds no reason to question it; this situation with raven being so horribly betrayed by one of her bonds is likely unprecedented and raven seems to be very private about how her semblance works (given tai’s very limited description of how it works), so summer and salem are working with very little information here.
gestures vaguely at the morrígan and cú chulainn. there’s your trickery.
but regardless yeah, 100% playing summer’s fate straight as a Tragic Heroic Sacrifice is the most boring thing they could do with her

Jaune Arc of Orleans
Land-Train... Waylaid
Jaune was panting, as he often did after having a vision from the Light. Most times he was only aware of just the meeting, and the sense of fulfillment and peace such meetings gave him... but other times. He remembered everything, instead of just fuzzy feelings. This was one of those times.
HIs hands were shaking as he recalled the grotesque beast the Light had bested. He did not know what it was, just that it radiated pure malice and hatred. Swinging his legs over the side of the bed, he rose to his feet and approached the sleeping form of his escort.
Jaune was sure they were about to be attacked, and even though Land-Trains were designed to shrug off such assaults, there was still a chance that injuries, or worse could happen. He had been warned, he had the power to change that fate.
"Qrow?" Jaune spoke as he reached out a began to gentle shake the huntsman shoulder. "Qrow!"
"Stop... sleep..." Qrow muttered as he tried to roll over.
"QROW!" Jaune yelled, accompanied with a jab of his finger into his exposed cheek. But still there was no response, or at least the one Jaune was seeking. Seeing no alternative Jaune reached out and played the ageless tactic of siblings everywhere. He pinched Qrow's nose shut.
Qrow flailed about, snorting and roughly twisting his head side to side.
"I'm up! I'm up!"
"We're going to be attacked!" Jaune shouted as the still groggy huntsman. "Did you hear me? We're going to be attacked!"
"Huh? What? I... quit yelling kid." Qrow commented as he attempted to blink the slumber from his eyes. "What are you..."
"We're going to be attacked!" Jaune once again shouted.
"What? When? How... how do you know that?"
"I just had a vision."
"Sorry, a vision?"
"Darkness encroaches! Death approaches!"
"Shit!" Qrow swore as he swung his lungs off the side of his bed and quickly got to his feet. After hearing about Jaune's previous visions and the warnings that foretold of the bandit attack... Qrow knew better than to just dismiss the young man's words.
"I'll alert the crews, you hunker down here." Qrow ordered as he pulled Harbinger from storage above his bunk.
"But I can..."
"I know you can, but I can't risk you getting hurt. Stay here! Got it?"
Jaune just nodded. Qrow nodded in return and reached up to pull the alarm lever. Flashing red lights soon filled ever compartment of the ten vehicle long land-train. It was common practice to have one huntsman or huntress per two vehicles. So Qrow knew aside from himself, and possibly any other huntsmen or huntresses on board as just normal passengers, there would be at least six abled bodies for the approaching fight.
That didn't include the crew members trained to provide fire support, via the roof mounted twin .50cal Ma Deuces. While standard rail systems were faster, there was something to be said about sturdiness of the tracked 10 ton armored vehicles. There was little aside from the largest of grimm that could really be considered a threat to this type of transportation.
"Stay here." Qrow commanded as he stepped out of the small private cabin, that was situated near the center of the series of articulate arm joined vehicles and pods.
Jaune remained where he was told to, in fact returning to sit upon his bunk. He was pretty sure he knew what Qrow was doing, or at least he thought he did. The other huntsmen and huntresses assigned to the land-train would need to be informed and defensive measures devised.
Jaune knew this would probably not be an issue if they had commandeered seats on one of the airships that did travel from Orleans to it's various trading partners... but motion sickness was a bitch and he did not want to suffer through an almost 24 hour long flight due to the multiple "hops" such travel required, due to mainly being short range cargo ships.
So it was the land-train, and a solid 60 hours of overland travel. Suddenly the loud rapid and heavy thundering thud of a multiple heavy weapons firing cut through the air. It had started... Jaune's warning had been issued just in time.

Vol 5: What Oz should have done for RNJR
Oscar(Oz): Alright here's what’s going to happen. Right now, Leon's intentions are a mystery. We are outnumbered. And our maiden seems to be a part of The Branwen tribe. So to ensure you all are ready considering you may be what we have. I will give each of you an assignment.
Ruby: Woo-hoo.
Ren: Hm.
Nora: Okay. Show off.
Jaune: What do we do?
Oscar(Oz): Ms. Rose you will be with me. We need to see a way of unlocking the power of your silver eyes. This way we can stand a better chance against Salem. Meanwhile helping Oscar and yourself hone your skills. Jaune Arc.
Jaune: Um. Yeah?
Oscar(Oz): You will be assigned to Qrow.
Jaune: Whoa wait-
Qrow: Oz, I’m already looking for recruits. I can’t be bothered-
Oscar(Oz): Enough. Look I understand you both are not on good terms. However, Mr. Arc, you have yet to unlock your semblance-
Jaune: Yeah but-
Oscar(Oz): Though you may have improved, your skills are adequate at best. Sadly, with an unknown amount of time, the best course for you is to learn to be more adaptable to battle. And who better to teach that than Qrow? Qrow is also a better swordsman than you are right now. Learning from him may help you in the long run. Plus, it will keep Qrow from drinking.
Qrow and Jaune: *resentment* Hm.
Nora: What about us?
Oscar(Oz): Do you have money?
Nora: Yeah.
Oscar(Oz): Buy some lighting dust and learn about your semblance. You might discover something new on how to use it.
Ren: What about-
Oscar(Oz): Just don’t push yourself too hard. Come in between the other training sessions and spar with the others. Focus on improving the skills you have.
The training sessions begin in the morning as Ruby and Oscar travel to a nearby forest where Grimm are located. There Oscar(Oz) started throwing hordes of Grimm at her one after the other. Afterward, her and Oscar spar as Ozpin put it that Oscar has the potential to learn faster through intense training and muscle memory.
Nora does exactly what Ozpin said, buys lighting dust, and starts using as little to as much as possible, working on new ways to use her semblance. Ren trains however he wants, coming in between sessions to test himself and the others.
Jaune’s training though wasn’t just at the house. Jaune training involved staying with Qrow at all times. Avoiding danger in all corners. All in the morning. The afternoon is much worse. Qrow immediately tells Jaune to forget what he learned from Pyrrah and instead of fighting with their actual weapons, they fight with regular training swords. Qrow becomes more displeased as in the first round;
Qrow: Too slow.
The second round;
Qrow: Too wide.
Third round;
Qrow: Don’t stare out into space. Move.
Fourth round;
Qrow: Come on! Don’t tell me that’s all.
Fifth round;
Qrow: You’re overthinking.
After the tenth round, Qrow and Jaune stop however Qrow states;
Qrow: Let me be clear. This isn’t Beacon. Regardless, your enemies will not wait until you figure them out. And the moment you lose track of them you will die. And once you die, your friends will die next. Sometimes having a stronger offense is just as good as a defense.
Jaune: *groans*
Qrow: *signs* That’s enough for the day. Go and rest up.
Afterward, Qrow starts to drink a little while being up a little. He then heard something. Qrow grabs his weapon and prepares to deal with the intruder until he is grabbed by his niece. Qrow was about to say something until Ruby hushed him. Ruby and Qrow proceeded cautiously until Qrow saw it wasn’t an intruder but Jaune himself.
Qrow watched as Jaune listened to Pyrrha’s recorded message. However, what impressed him was Jaune’s strikes as the wind started to emerge. Ruby and Qrow soon walked away as Ruby spoke;
Ruby: He listens to it every night.
Qrow: Every night?
Ruby: And here I thought you’ve been watching our every move.
Qrow: Ruby, look, I get-
Ruby: Then act like it.
Qrow: What?
Ruby: Uncle Qrow, I get it. I understand right now you and Jaune are not on the best terms. And I can’t blame him. You-
Qrow: Hey she-
Ruby: I know! But that doesn’t make it right. What if it was me? Or Yang? Wouldn’t you be just as upset as he is right now? More importantly, even though he doesn’t like you he still saved you.
Qrow: *silent*
Ruby: All I’m trying to say is- give him a chance. If Pyrrha saw something in him and Ozpin assigned him to you, shouldn’t that be enough reason to help him?
Qrow: But Ruby, he sucks though.
Ruby: So did I. No teacher wanted to train me. You did though. And look how I turned out.
Qrow: Yeah but-
Ruby: Please. Just try. For me.
Qrow: *thinks and sighs* Fine.
Ruby: Thank you. Good night Uncle Qrow, Also, you’re not exactly fun drunk.
Qrow gave it some thought as he prepared to sleep. In the morning Qrow sees Jaune waiting for him.
Qrow: You’re up. Good.
Jaune: Where are we going now?
Qrow: Just follow me.
Jaune follows Qrow until they reach their destination. A tiny forest not far from the city. Within it is a large lake with a waterfall. Jaune was confused as he asked;
Jaune: Okay, why are we here? Normally we-
Qrow: Kid? We’ve been looking for a week now. We might as well assume that we have no allies to recruit. As Ozpin hypothesized, you and your friends may be our only chance.
Jaune grows silent as he knows the old bird is right.
Qrow: Therefore our schedule has changed. From here on, the focus will be on improving your combat skills all day and night for hours. No breaks. No food. And more importantly…
Qrow holds out his hand to Jaune but Jaune doesn’t know why. Qrow continues as he states;
Qrow: No scroll.
Jaune was shocked. At first, he hesitated but soon caved in as he pulled out and gave his scroll to Qrow. Qrow proceeds to put the scroll in his pocket as he explains;
Qrow: You will get it back once training is done. Now first let me explain something to you. Sit.
Jaune does exactly as Qrow said as they sit on the ground, not breaking eye contact.
Qrow: I know why you’re here. You wanted answers and more importantly, I know you want revenge.
Jaune: And? So what? What’s wrong with making someone pay?
Qrow: Oh nothing. There’s nothing wrong with getting payback. Especially when they deserve it. However, I don’t like it when that same person is willing to throw everyone under the bus to get it.
Jaune: Now hold on a-
Qrow: I’m not saying you would… however, it is possible. You want to know how I know. I’ve… been there.
Jaune: *silent*
Qrow: I’ve lost people. I’ve got back for people. I’ve killed people. Even innocent people. And whether I liked it or not their deaths -their blood will forever stain my hands. And this was all before I became a huntsman. I’m saying, I know what vengeance can do to even good-hearted people like yourself.
Jaune: *remain silent*
Qrow: You start being spiteful. Stubborn. Colder. Yet willing to throw away your life not knowing what you leave behind.
Jaune: *remains quiet*
Qrow: Look… if you want revenge, fine… however don’t make your friends suffer for it. Understand?
Jaune: … … Yes.
Qrow: Good. Next is a demonstration.
Qrow gets up and walks towards the water. Qrow gets into a battle stance as he grips his sword. Jaune watches as Qrow stikes the the lake. However, Jaune was soon stunned as he saw not only Qrow strike the water but split the lake in half, as the current rose and splashed the grass. Qrow then asked;
Qrow: Now what happened? What did I do?
Jaune: You-you used- you used your aura to split the lake.
Qrow: Good, so you know what your training is about now. With the little time we still have you will learn this technique. During this training, you will be under extreme combative conditions. Weapons drawn. And no aura barrier. This will allow us to knock two birds with one stone.
Jaune: *silent*
Qrow: So what do you say? Care to give it a shot.
Jaune: *readies himself* Bring it.

Redeemers: Greenest in Flames! Prologue
Narration: A caravan of brightly painted carriages cuts through the verdant hills, heading for town of Greenest. The air is thick with the scent of pine trees and the chirp of birdsong, and the warm breeze blows through the leaves, creating a tranquil atmosphere. The travelers are eager to reach the sanctuary of Greenest before day’s end, hoping to enjoy a peaceful respite after their journey.
Among these travelers they are joined by a peculiar party of adventurers, newly formed and heading to their first mission together…
Reese: (Goblin Artillerist Artificer. Crime: Mass Destruction of Public and Private Property.) Are we there yet???
Party: *Groan in annoyance*
May: (Dark Heritage Half-Elf Gloomstalker Ranger. Crime: Vigilantism and Murder.) Reese, I promised you already. The second we are there, you are the first I will be telling. Now please… shush.
Reese: But we’ve been traveling forever!
Adam: (Minotaur Champion Fighter. Crime: Insurrection and Banditry) *Growls* It’s only been three days.
Cinder: (Tiefling Fiendish Pact Warlock. Crime: Soul Racketeering and Organizing a Cult without a Permit.) It probably only feels so long because of your incessant whining.
Neon: (Tabaxi Kensei Monk. Crime: B&E and Assault with a Deadly Weapon) You should, like, totally take a note from Neo's book. She’s barely said anything this whole trip.
Neo: (Changeling Arcane Trickster Rogue. Crime: Grand Larceny and Identity Theft) *Flips Neon off.*
Reese: *Grumbles* Well maybe next time Sir Shiny-Pants should pick a closer quest! Where is he anyways?
May: I think he went off to pray.
Cinder: *Chuckles* Pray for mercy, maybe. Who ever heard of a knight with motion sickness?
Neo: *Makes some mocking dry heaving motions and then conjures an illusion of sparkles flying from her mouth.*
Adam: *Huffs* To think, our fate is in the hands of that human. My soldiers would never let me live it down.
Neon: Meh, at least he seems harmless enough. We could have been put with a real hard ass. I give it a week before we bully him into releasing us early.
Party: *Snickers and jeers amongst themselves*
Jaune: (Human Oath of Redemption Paladin. Duty: Redeeming the Party Before the Eyes of the Law and the Sovereign Gods.) *Jogging up after meditating to calm down his motion sickness* Hey everyone! Did some tell a funny joke or something?
Cinder: Oh just the usual banter. Nothing you’d find amusing I’m sure.
Reese: KNIGHT ARE WE THERE YET?!
Cinder: See?
Jaune: Actually, yes Reese. We should be there in like 10 minutes. *Points over pass them* Should be just over that big hill.
The Party: *Various sighs of relief.*
Reese: See?! I knew it was a valid question!
May: So, what are we going to be doing here?
Neon: Yeah, and how exactly is this “Redemption Quest” even supposed to work? Are we, like, building karma points or something til you let us go?
Neo: *Casts Minor Illusion to create a scoreboard with 100 points above her head.*
Jaune: Well, to complete a Redemption Quest, you six will have to complete a good deed with pure of heart in order to make up for your past sins. I’ll be there to watch over your progress and help usher you to the path of good and get you pardoned for your crimes.
Cinder: And so you’re sending a bunch of convicted criminals to do quests for the state.
Adam: Yeah, what are we, some kind of Suicide Sq-?
Jaune: NO! No. We are “Adventurers”. A group of adventurers who most of which just so happen to have darker paths…
May: That still doesn’t answer the question of why we’re going to Greennest. Is there a quest already decided for us?
Jaune: There should be. We’ll be meeting a man in Greenest that goes by the name Qrow Branwen. Apparently he needs help with an investigation.
Neon: What is he investigating?
Jaune: I’m not too sure. Something about bandits I think? But don’t worry, I’m sure it’s nothing too dangerous. The Church wouldn’t give out something big or important for a “Redemption Quest,” or to a squire of my level. All you will probably have to do is help out however you can and we will get you all pardoned in no time! Simple as that.
Narration: Sundown is approaching just as the caravan crests the hill and spots the town of Greenest just a few short miles away. But instead of the pleasant welcoming town they expected, the Party sees columns of smoke rising from burning buildings, running figures that are little more than dots from this distance, and a dark winged shaped wheeling low over the stone keep that rises from the center of town. The red skies of sunset turn a violent purple as the far off dragon breathes lightning bolts down onto the town.
The Party: …
Jaune: …Well. This may be-
Adam: *Bellows at the top his lungs and charges off towards the town.*
Neon: *Runs after him* I’m getting that pardon first!
Reese: *Runs* Jokes on you shitheads, I’m getting DOUBLE pardoned!
May: *Rolls her eye and chases after them* That’s not how pardons work.
Cinder: *Rushes forward* If you see any extra souls lying around, save them for me!
Neo: *Gleefully runs towards the town to start looting.*
Jaune: *Stands there watching as his half a dozen criminals run into a burning town.* …Boldrei give me strength.

So I forgot I actually had a good portion of The Depcepticon Au fleshed out and since I retired that Au officially, I'll give the main bullet points
Thunderstrike travels to different worlds, either bringing deceptions back to order.
Pyrospear (Pyrrha) travels as well with her group, unable to find Thunderstrike or his crew,
Eventually both receive messages from their respective leaders from a planet called Earth
Over the course of years, battles take place on earth, eventually the cybertronian war is exposed with the death of Talon (Qrow) and the destrcution of a city to all the world and humanity is forced to fight for its survival
StormBlight (Sky Lark) dies much to ThunderStrikes sorrow
FireStar (cinder) betrays the decepticons for an opportunity to gain more power but is killed by Crescent Rose (Ruby)
Megatron and Optimus Mortally wound each other in final battle between the two
Pyrospear is given the Matrix of Leadership and becomes Pyrrus Prime while Thunderstrike becomes leader of the Decepticons after megatron's death
The war lasts another 10 years before Thunderstrike realizes its a useless war of attrition that will eventually end with their species extinction while killing the home of another
An uneasy peace is established; Decepticons control one side of Cybertron and the Autobots the other. (Retconning the original idea of them controlling a colony planet, got the idea from the Cybertron Cyberverse and Killzone Shadowfall)
A cold war takes place after, both leaders trying to keep the peace while dealing with rogue elements within each faction that doesn't like the peace
Thunderstrike renames himself Solaris, homage to one of the 13 primes while also trying to distance himself from his former life
Megatron and Optimus are still revered
Solaris and Pyrrus Prime are known to talk to each other when need be, Pyrrus still trying to reach out to him via Arcstrike
Overtime, she comes to understand Arcstrike is gone much like how PyroSpear is gone. Both have gone through too much to be who they were before the war
Both leaders work together to eventually bring a type of permanent peace and the eventual unification of their Race as one
It never happens but the hardwork they did does lay the groundwork for it to happen soon.
Pyrrus does her best to ensure another council and Prime never become corrupt. She is highly revered for her rule with the Autobots adopting the term "Age of Pyrrus Prime" to establish the timeline of her leadership
Solaris is highly regarded during his rule, creating a system of passing down power to a successor, in he himself takes care and guides a young Cybertronian until he finally step-down after ruling for 1000 years. Part of this is leaving Cybertron as not allow the old Decepticon ruler to influence/control the new Ruler.
Oracle is chosen to lead the Decepticons
The Age of Solaris's Rule ends.
Pyrrus Prime relinquished the Matrix of Leadership and hands it to Crescent Rose who becomes Scarlet Prime. The Age of Pyrrus Prime ends
Both Solaris and Pyrospear leave Cybertron together, to travel the universe itself together. Both having eventually grew close once more during their respective rules. Solaris claiming how he wanted to achieve his dream of exploring until he rejoins the Allspark. Pyrospear wanting to join him.
The two leave Cybertron, never to return. Unknowingly starting a tradition/protocol for both their factions in which both faction leaders give up their respective leadership roles when it's time and leave cybertron together to find a new path among the stars. This eventually leads to the unification of the Cybertronian race.
