first ultrasound

i remember feeling so sick today. i literally cannot eat, just the smell of food is making me throw up. pagulong-gulong ako sa kama kasi pagising gising ako from 6 to 11 a.m kasi so uncomfortable ng feeling ko kasi sabay na nagloloko yung tiyan ko while nasusuka.

instead of maawa sa sarili nanaman, syempre ako to. i took my vitamins without food. and it made it worse! the taste of those - damnnnnn so i reached out for the food and ate it.

i worked but i was anxious because my ultrasound is coming near. i have been waiting for it for a week! so paranoid. i do not want to overthink anymore, i want to know the condition of the baby and i can no longer wait because i will literally go insane.

actually... the baby daddy will come with me to this appointment. HE WAS LATE. i specifically said we need to be early, i mentioned the date and time to prepare him because the clinic wants us to arrive 30mins before the appointment. but we're fucking late. i was so disappointed, i thought they will cancel our appointment and make us wait again so i was crying on the ride going there, i was so mad. i don't want to wait another week for the ultrasound. fortunately, the couple next to our appointment is early so they went first before us. basically we switched schedules. so i was able to meet my OB and do the ultrasound.

i was too emotional. i wanted someone to comfort me, but i had no one....

during the transV ultrasound: i remember doktora saying "ay wag kabahan! masasaktan ka kapag pinasok ko to" "ay nako, si dathnee ayaw makinig" and i was embarrassed "doktora, kinakabahan po kasi ako." i can feel my legs trembling. i can't help but contract it.

it was confusing.

i am 5 weeks pregnant.

the baby is inside the womb, which is a good sign.

but it was so small, it's a little dot.

there was no heartbeat. this is when i felt the chills. i saw how doktora changed the mood and wanted to reassure me that it's okay, that it's because this is still early.

i saw my printed consultation paper, it's marked cardiac activity - absent, embryo/fetus - absent. what??? i don't know. hindi lang siguro ako mapanatag. sobrang hirap maging paranoid.

Yet, in Thomas their joy left an ache that reached deep within. An ache that was hidden long ago, an ache to be understood.
