Where 4h/cancer is placed can tell you about your home’s size/condition, especially childhood home.

Saturn= small/may feel constricting, Jupiter= large

poorly aspected/malefics/debilitated= ran down home/broken things.

Prey yonis (deer, rat, goat) feel safer in a group & in familiar places. Being by themselves or new places alone can cause anxiety. When out sometimes they feel that they are always in fight or flight or something’s around the corner.

Predator yonis (lion, tiger, snake) may not feel the same way. They may feel sure in themselves and how they can protect themselves. Tiger & snake yonis in particular might feel better off alone. Since both are solitary animals.

Debilitated planets aren’t bad, it just makes the person work a little harder to reap the benefits in that area. Whereas, exaltation comes easy. Which can sometimes make one lazier in that particular area, because there’s no drive. (the same with easy aspects & hard aspects)

For example,

Exalted Pisces Venus (naturally effortless beautiful, “woke up like this” minimal makeup)

Debilitated Venus in Virgo (Cosmetic procedures, tailors, professional makeup, gym trainers, spa, personal stylist/hair stylist)

Venus in Virgo/Scorpio usually tend to be even more beautiful because they actively work to put effort & keep up maintenance.

Mars in Capricorn (wake up early no alarm, straight to the gym, knows exactly their task and when to do it, doesn’t have much trouble with procrastination).

Mars in Cancer/Taurus (might need schedules, alarms, set tasks, mentor/motivator).

Saturn in Libra (gets benefits from hard work right away, not much struggle young, no problem with discipline)

Saturn in Aries/Leo/cancer (rough start in life/a lot of set backs, takes longer to see benefits or gets it after Saturn return/30s, has to actively work on their discipline).

Debilitated Saturn after hard work in younger years, later in life, they usually achieve gains & become a household name.

People tend to say Jupiter is luck. But to me it’s excess. In this world we associate excess=luck. (ie you have a lot of cars, money, children, etc) When it’s not always the case.

For example,

Jupiter in the 7h (Being in a lot of relationships or marriages. But the downside is it doesn’t last because Saturn represents commitment.

Marilyn Monroe multiple divorces

Drake dated a lot of women but no serious relationship.

Jupiter creates a surplus in whatever it touches. But it is not longevity, unless Saturn aspects Jupiter.

A planet that is a benefic can act as a malefic if debilitated & poorly aspected.

If Jupiter is debilitated & poorly aspected it can turn into a giant malefic. Because Jupiter expands what it touches. Rather it’s negativity or positivity.

Some say Mars is where your drive and aggression is. But I see it more so where you get injuries, accidents, or aggression towards yourself or others.

For example,

I’m Aries Ascendant; My Mars/lagnesh is in Virgo/6h. My most serious injuries came from doing mundane tasks around the house. I faced workplace aggression from coworkers & sometimes customers too. Also, I tend to face health issues that affect my daily life. 6h/virgo rules daily activities, physical health, workplace, coworkers.

Mars just went retrograde December 6. I can already see it’s affect on my daily routines/6h. Nonstop nausea, bloating, stomach issues, & headaches everyday. Virgo rules stomach/nervous system. Aries my 1h/Asc rules the head

My whole schedule is out of wack. Today, I dropped my breakfast on the floor and burnt my lunch lol.

Mars, Mercury, Uranus, & Jupiter are all retrograde right now. If you are taking the necessary precautions and your planets are in good dignity, you should be fine. Though it’s still going to be quite frustrating for most people.

Transits mainly do the most damage if you have debilitated or poorly aspected planet that is going retrograde.

Malefics going retrograde to some degree affect almost everyone negatively, but not in the same way. What area varies from chart to chart; the sign/houses it sits in.

Outer planets affect us as a collective. Inner planets affect us personally.

Even though in traditional Vedic/jyotish Uranus, Neptune, Pluto isn’t considered. I still see the planet’s nakshatras/signs/houses in a chart influence a person’s life. Especially, if they aspect personal planets like Sun, Moon, Ascendant.

★ pay attention to the configurations made in the progressed chart! for example, a t-square made between planets indicates an intense/stressful period in life

★ i’ve generally noticed that points or planets that are at 28 degrees generally show more abundance or opportunity in the planet’s areas of life (ex: 28 degree venus can mean abundance in friends/lovers)

★ pay attention to transits x your secondary progressed chart! it’s be a good idea to see where this upcoming mars retrograde impacts your progressed chart :D

JANET JACKSON BIRTHCHART ANALYSIS

I am doing a birth chart analysis for Janet Jackson based on a post that Lizzo made about how she received her flowers years later and basically just expressing her distaste for how Janet Jackson was treated in the industry. So I found it very interesting that Janet has set a lot of 7 influence just looking at her birthday alone. Not to mention she was born at 7 p.m. she's a birthday number 7 because she's born May 16th and then her life path number is seven. So she basically come from a family of musicians so she was bound to do music just for the sake of almost her whole house being into music but someone with heavy seven energy-- it kind of gives off a Neptune influence in their life.

So the fact that she was overlooked or you know just kind of was swallowed in the background is actually making sense just from that alone.

Mars and North node in the seventh house and what's interesting is that the North node is in the seventh house and she has a life past seven and she's a birthday seven and she was born at 7 p.m. so 7 is a very strong number for her and I wouldn't be surprised if she has a lot of stuff going on where seven is an influence. like for instance, maybe certain identifications equals to seven. maybe a lot of things happen on seven days or something like that.

What contributes to her fleeting fame and randomized moments of getting recognition is her 10th house pluto and uranus which brings about fleeting moments of recognition and no particular promise of daily praise but emotionally, she is content although likes to nurture her talent. Saturn is sextile Sun(her) and square Jupiter which is the planet of expansion, but Jupiter is in the 8th house. Cosmically, she is already reaping benefits of financial inheritance from her siblings. Jupiter in the 8th house of Gemini.

It is like Pluto and Uranus being in the 10th house prevented a lot of her personal business making it to the blogs which is a blessing because we see how they do some of these celebrities when too much is shown and known.

Back to Saturn though. Saturn being in the 5th house delayed her personal fame and makes a trine to Neptune in the 1st house. This causes a natural and cosmic cloaking.

February 2025 Important Dates

AKA my notes on The Astrology Podcast's February forecast, hosted by Chris Brennan and Austin Coppock. Ironically I'm late for the shortest month of the year, but anyways let's get started.

January Recap: The year began on a Mars-Pluto opposition, coinciding with the attacks in New Orleans & Las Vegas. Mars retrograding into Cancer, the sign of the home, brought him closest to the Earth he gets during his orbit and signaled the beginning of massive wildfires in the LA area (Mars was also illuminated by the Cancer Full Moon). The Venus retrograde is also a factor here (Venus entered Pisces, the sign to which she'll regress later), though I don't quite agree with our hosts' decision to focus on chart for the incorporation of Los Angeles itself, as the worst-affected areas like Altadena, Malibu, and the Pacific Palisades are all separate municipalities--maybe a chart relating to Los Angeles County would be more fitting for a metropole that's so spread out. The TikTok "ban" story happened right as the Venus-Saturn conjunction went exact in Pisces, and the 75-day extension allowing it to operate right now ends on the day Venus will conjoin Saturn in Pisces while retrograde.

More Mars stories include Justin Trudeau resigning the day Mars regressed into Cancer. During the Mars-Sun opposition right on the heels of the Cancer Full Moon (January 14th-15th--midpoint of the retrograde), South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol was arrested (who declared martial law on the Mars station). On the 15th during the Sun-Mars opposition we finally saw a ceasefire in Gaza, tying closely to Mars's position at 26 Libra on October 7, 2023. Mars-Sun developments and ~26 degrees of cardinal signs are definitely degrees to watch for this story. Venus's ingress and upcoming retrograde may also be indicating a return home for Palestinians displaced during the past 15 months.

Donald Trump's second inauguration was moved inside due to cold, the same as with Reagan's second term--another Venus retrograde in Aries time. Venus rx gives us comebacks, and not always ones we want. There was also a comet in attendance during this event, as was one during the April eclipse and during the election last year. His orders setting new ICE deportation/detaining quotas are a continuation of Mars entering Cancer last fall when this topic was first raised, and the Saturn-Neptune in Pisces story is also related.

The Sun-Pluto conjunction in Aquarius on January 20th-21st (& Uranus station surprising us) coincided with the US government investing $500 billion in AI, especially in power for the data centers (will nuclear energy come back as an alternative because of the massive power demand for this?), and DeepSeek surpassed OpenAI in popularity & use. The chart of the PRC has the Ascendant and Moon in early Aquarius, though the Pluto in Aquarius story re: China & technological innovations dates back thousands of years, pointing (in Chris's & Nick Dagan Best's opinion) to some older early chart now likely lost to time.

We entered the month of February right off Uranus's last direct station in Taurus before he enters Gemini in July, bringing disruptions and shakeups into the beginning of the month. (A/N: did anyone else have half their workplace out sick last week?) In Taurus, money can both disappear and come from nowhere--some surprises are good! Chris's electional chart was for February 1st so I'll skip it for this month.

February 1st - Venus conjunct Neptune The eclipse points, the Nodes, just changed signs, putting the North Node in Pisces with Saturn & Neptune, with Venus soon to join when she retrogrades. Events or people that seemed dreamy and rosy at the beginning of February may prove to be the opposite during the course of Venus rx. The North Node (Rahu, head of the dragon) brings a ravenous hunger to events.

February 4th - Venus entered Aries, Jupiter stationed Direct For Jupiter this is marks his last few weeks in Gemini for the next year or so. With a near-perfect trine to his ruler Mercury, we have an extra boost to our positive developments. Retrograde Jupiter is a good time to followup, and now that he's direct boons can move forward for us. Chris predicts some kind of development in voice AI technologies kickstarting around this time.

Venus ingressed from her exaltation of Pisces to exile (detriment) in Aries, and she's slowing down, making things a little more complicated than usual. With the upcoming retrograde, events we feel in our Aries houses will take three passes to full resolve this time around. She's going to be in this sign until March 27th, and will be back here from April to June. Venus in Aries can give us bombshell charisma, like that of Marilyn Monroe or Lady Gaga. Venus retrogrades have also aligned with large protest movements, especially around women's issues. Venus retrogrades in the same sign every 8 years, so look back to 2017 or 2009 for stories around this. Our hosts bring up how Lady Gaga exploded on the scene in 2009 and indeed she released a new song reminiscent of her early career right before the Venus ingress--right on time for Venus returning! In personal charts, Venus rx prompts us to reevaluate what we really want, sometimes deconstructing things to build them back up in a new way. Check your Aries house for which area of your chart where this will occur. Pay attention to cues of attraction and repulsion during this time.

February 9th - Sun conjunct Mercury This Mercury cazimi occurs closely square Uranus, an aspect that goes exact the next day. The disruptive Uranus events from the beginning of the month will come back to us.

February 10th - Mercury square Uranus

February 11th - Sun square Uranus

February 12th - Full Moon in Leo

This Full Moon occurs square Uranus just as the Mercury cazimi did. With Uranus in Taurus and the Sun in Aquarius, we can expect tech and finance to be at cross-purposes at this time. Electricity and energy will likely be key concerns around this time, especially around wrapping up the use of petroleum oil first proposed in 1855 (though it's not the only fossil fuel). Austin sees crypto as a premonition that energy may back future currencies instead of something like gold. Leo full Moons are always loud, flashy, and showy. This is the last full Moon before the Venus retrograde, before Inanna descends to the underworld, stripped of her ornaments and garments until she awkwardly meets Ereshkigal at the end of the elevator.

February 14th - Mercury enters Pisces Happy Valentine's Day!

February 18th - Sun enters Pisces

February 20th - Mercury square Jupiter

February 23rd Mars stations Direct From February 12th to March 9th, Mars will stay completely put at 17 degrees of Cancer. Anyone with placements at mid-cardinal signs, prepare for Mars to be there!

We're finally direct, but Mars gets going very slowly. "Let's train and prepare first instead of bolting ahead," he says. Projects that have been going on in this area of life may be finally paying off. Mars in the middle decan of Cancer is good for protecting, defending, and fortifying, including reinforcing or strengthening muscles or structures. The dark side of this, especially in world events, include nativism/nationalism, racism, and other us-versus-them aggression. However, Venus is set to react in a firey way to whatever events Mars sets off when she stations on March 1st. Cardinal risings will feel these stations especially strongly, possibly as turning points in conflicts, as these planets both station in angular houses for you.

February 25th - Sun conjunct Saturn

February 27th - New Moon in Pisces

The Mercury-Saturn conjunction (20-24 ♓) is still strong, possibly inhibiting communication, while Venus (10♈) and Jupiter (12♊) get about as close as they will to a sextile before she turns back to reevaluate things before fully realizing that positive thing. This stellium in Pisces (Sun/Moon/Saturn/Mercury/South Node/Neptune) takes us into a vivid, dreamy, and sometimes nightmarish space in stark contrast to the dry Aquarian energy we've experienced for much of the month. There are many strange creatures under the waves, not all of them real. Mercury will also be ramping up for a retrograde in Aries and Pisces as we get into early March, showing us even more events that we'll be returning to later. The end of February looks a lot like April; we're not gonna be done with this for awhile. With eclipse coming up, our sensory deprivation tank will become a sleep deprivation tank as we walk the edge of the coming maelstrom.

Transiting Mars enters Taurus

Sunday, June 9 - Saturday, July 20, 2024

Although Mars is in its detriment here [ie, transiting through a sign (Taurus) which is opposite a sign it rules (Scorpio)] - and although there are a few potential rough spots - this really isn’t a bad transit at all.

Mars in Aries is always ready for a fight, and probably throws the first punch in 75%-90% of all the battles it experiences. Mars in Taurus has to play by that Venus rule book, though. Patience, calm, perseverance, and steadiness can help us get what we want, at least as well (if not better) than carrying chips on our shoulders. Some ways it may play out in Mars’ areas:

Physical strength - “strong as a bull!” This is more of a “brute force” placement and relies on that, rather than being aggressive or flexible.

Energy levels - steady, once it gets going. The problems here are actually getting Mars to budge, and (as with Mars in any fixed sign) in knowing when to quit.

Sexuality - sensual and passionate. A lot of paying attention to everything in our bodies and not just the gonads. Not usually a “wine and dine” kind of placement, that’s too complicated.

How we go after what we want - slowly, steadily, patiently. If you have a project requiring such an approach, this is a wonderful time to launch it.

Some really beautiful aspects and situations ahead of us. Allow a day or two on either side of the given date.

Tuesday, June 11 - Mars/Taurus square Pluto Rx/Aquarius, 1°45’. I really liked Kathy Rose’s take on this particular aspect - it has such a horrible reputation, but by approaching it differently it can be harnessed in a positive way. Look for ways to break through barriers (or maybe even recognizing there’s a barrier in the first place).

Friday, June 21 - Mars/Taurus sextile Mercury/Cancer, 9°12’. Great for finding practical solutions, and for getting on the same page as others.

Friday, June 28 - Sunday, June 30:

Mars/Taurus sextile Venus/Cancer, 14°39’

Mars/Taurus trine Ceres Rx/Capricorn, 15°37’

This is an aspect pattern called an “easy opposition,” with Mars providing a constructive outlet for the Venus-Ceres opposition. It can be extremely fertile, so if becoming a parent isn’t on your agenda right now, I’d abstain if I were you. Great for working through any domestic issues.

Thursday, July 4 - Saturday, July 6:

Mars/Taurus trine Juno/Virgo, 18°56’

Mars/Taurus sextile Saturn Rx/Pisces, 19°23’

Mars/Taurus opposite Pallas Rx/Scorpio, 19°49’

And this is an aspect pattern called a “mystic rectangle” - we have two oppositions whose ends are sextile/trine each other. It’s really good for cooperation, problem-solving with others’ help, and tackling difficult work.

Monday, July 15 - Mars/Taurus conjunct Uranus/Taurus, 26°19’. These two in aspect together promote independence. (I know this from close observation; many people in my family have some combination of the two!) We’re all about being ourselves, albeit in a calm, steady, down-to-earth Taurus way. (This is also the first day of the Republican Party convention. Yikes. MAGAt as an angry Mars-Uranus/Taurus good old boy….)

Saturday, July 20 - Mars/Taurus sextile Neptune Rx/Pisces, 29°50’. Ending on an inspired note; taking a practical vision forward with us. We can manifest our dreams into reality.

Mars in Taurus

June 9, 2024 - July 20, 2024

Mars, the planet of physical energy and drive, is in Taurus. This means that the planet is in its detriment, so what does that mean for the collective? You are going to have to adjust how to apply yourself. Please remember that slow and steady wins the race, staying determined and persistent will be the most beneficial. Work on strategizing your long term goals and do not be afraid to step out of your comfort zone. Taurus likes to sit in their own comfort (fixed earth), so make sure you are not staying stuck when you know you have things to do and goals to accomplish! I am not saying be a busy body and never let yourself rest, you just have to be able to discern when it is best for you to stay still or move. Try your best to stay open minded during this transit, stubbornness is not going to help you at all. Think before you act and keep a clear head.

the fixed sign people will likely feel this first, and maybe the aries babies. if you're a regular follower of astrology you have likely already heard that this also takes place on algol. algol is in certain legends the eye of the head of medusa, held by perseus. you likely also know multiple variations of the tale of medusa, hopefully also the modern interpretations told in a light more compassionate to her. so you can make your own interpretations of what this star means. but it's hard to put any pleasant spin on it.

as i have stated elsewhere, though, this conjunction is intense in its own right. mars is traditionally a malefic. there are tones of war for sure. and uranus is a change agent, a revolutionary.

gosh, i wonder if any of that is relevant these days......

and if you don't feel it today, you probably will soon. or if you don't feel it at all, you will read some shocking but pertinent headline. this is likely to play out on a bigger stage than your personal life anyway. individuals ARE impacted by wars, revolutions, and medusa-type stories. but not ALL individuals are bothered by them as they unfold. we will all have different roles in these events.

but no matter who you are, my advice is to stay calm, act with care and caution, and if you need to fight, feel empowered by this, but if you don't need to fight, it's unwise to place yourself in a situation which might later prove dangerous or unjust.

Who’s Impacted: EVERYONE, but esp. Cardinal signs and water signs. 

Takeaway: The planet of action and aggression slips into the cardinal water sign of family and protecting what’s yours. It’s a tsunami of moody motivations and agitated nostalgia.

     Mars is the action, agitation, and assertion planet. It rules over all that motivates you, from your energy, passions and efforts, to your goals. Mars is also the bringer of heat. It inflames, irritates, prods, pokes, and makes you “see red.” Mars’ sign in your chart and via transit, can reveal how you get fired up—in anger, motivation, or to champion something. 

     In Cancer, Mars is plunged into the waters of sentiment and sensitivity. The planet uses your instincts, imagination, and emotions to agitate and excite. Feelings—esp. insecurities and fears—are fuel. Which can be both a good thing and a not-so good thing.      Mars isn’t its usual fiery, forceful self when it transits Cancer. Instead, the planet expresses its vigor in a more surreptitious and defensive manner.      So, the main issues with Mars in Cancer revolve around passive-aggressiveness and emotionally-muddled motivations. You might notice your feelings misdirecting your energy—you act on slights or insults, for example—or you just feel extra crabby, sensitive, and self-protective. This transit turns up the heat on touchiness. Notice how often you want to tear up—and why.
