beagremlin is not kidding! steamed hams umineko is peak content but it’s extremely spoilery about the true mystery of umineko. I wouldn’t say you need to finish the game to play steamed hands though. the same way the question arc should be enough to solve the epitaph, the question arc should be enough to solve steamed hands. just finish episode 4 and you can play it
"peak umineko content" being Literally Just Steamed Hams. i really do have so many questions that none of you can even begin to answer for the longest time

my concept of future!kobylu jokes can be summed up as koby nervously trying to instigate a sexy roleplay where he arrests luffy for being a “bad boy” [humiliated flush] but this goes over luffy’s head he gets incredibly insulted and actually starts whiskey peaking koby in the streets battle to the death COC vs COC before koby (HUMILIATED. BRIGHT RED.) forces out “LUFFY I AM TRYING TO HAVE SEX WITH YOU” and luffy is like [stops] oh shishishishishi why didn’t you just say so stupid koby. and koby never tries to do that again. (@transflamingo FOR EXTREMELY FUNNY KOBY LINE)
…roger on the other hand managed to make several attempted arrests horny out of sheer force of will. garp is still very embarrassed of this.

@transflamingo Sayo is not canonically confirmed to be AFAB or AMAB, though I do believe there are heavy implications that Lion is AMAB due to how gender norms, especially of the heavily misogynistic and patriarchal Ushiromiya family, would have likely prevented an AFAB child from presenting in a masculine way and from inheriting the position of Head, in addition to the "man from 19 years ago". You can, of course, interpret it either way, as there is no confirmation. Regardless, even if it was canonically confirmed that Sayo was AFAB, Sayo also reads very heavily as intersex (which you acknowledge). Intersex people can be transfem regardless of the sex assigned to them. Being assigned one sex by doctors does not mean that an intersex person may not further need to socially or medically transition towards their desired gender, even if that gender is on their birth certificate, or they were raised as that gender. Sayo very deliberately presents Shannon as the pinnacle of submissive, feminine ideals, in addition to padding her chest, as acts of her own purposeful transition towards femininity.
It is a matter of interpretation as to whether or not Kanon constitutes an act of transition or of gender dysphoria, detransitioning, an attempted escape from the patriarchal, misogynist environment, etc.
However, I must point out that your interpretation of Kanon conflicts with the canon timeline. Sayo creates and transitions via Kanon before solving the epitaph, i.e before realizing that they are intersex; they are aware that they do not meet the standards of compulsory dyadism, and experience dysphoria, but they do not realize that they are infertile, that their genitalia are markedly different in a way that may prevent them from heterosexual sex, etc. Sayo also never discards or de-transitions from Kanon, as Sayo continues to act as Kanon up until and during October 4th. This is two years of Sayo existing as Kanon alongside existing as Shannon.
In any case, I do not believe that a case can be made that Sayo is a cis woman. Sayo is irrefutably trans. Sayo transitions, whether it is as Shannon or Kanon, towards the feminine or towards the masculine.
Beyond the realm of debating a fictional character's identity, however, as an intersex person, I find your assertion that an intersex person cannot be trans if they transition towards their assigned sex - their coercively assigned sex, as you yourself note - to be interphobic. We cannot and should not police when intersex people are 'allowed' to be trans.
Thinking about Sayo's gender is always so interesting because there's this really, really wide range of things people consider Sayo to be.
You have people who look at Sayo and they go "this is a transfem character" which I consider to be correct, 100%: it's very clear that Sayo desires femininity and socially (and physically, by padding their chest) transitions towards it. Shannon and Beatrice both have femininity, albeit different expressions of it, as a clear part of their identity. People can be transfem and identify as various things: transfem means a transition to femininity but doesn't need to mean a transition to womanhood.
And people look at Sayo and say, "this is a nonbinary character". "this is a demigirl character". as compared to people who look at Sayo and/or Beatrice and say, "this is a trans woman". And they can both be right - because it's interpretation.
...And then you have me, who looks at sayo and goes "this is a genderfluid character", haha. I think it's a bit less popular, but there are probably people who agree, given the kudos count on the few fics I have that mention the headcanon are decent.
I don't think anyone is wrong, really - we can all look at this character, who has a canonical and complex relationship with gender, and who also tries to transition in both directions (transfem as Shannon and Beatrice, transmasc as Kanon) and we can interpret it in different ways, project our own experiences onto it, etc.
I'm sure me being genderfluid and intersex influences how I see Sayo as very heavily intersex-coded (Nanjo's nonconsensual surgery, lack of periods/fertility despite being raised as a woman, implications that she has ambiguous genitals) and genderfluid.
What I really worry about is that people might take their own headcanon or interpretation and think that it is wrong because others disagree - or the opposite, and presume that everyone else is wrong for not agreeing. Sayo is canonically queer, and transgender, but the specifics of that should be left up to every individual reader. I hope everyone can agree on that.

@transflamingo is their father btw!!!! our joint fan kids <3
what is the kobyluzo kids relationship with each other like? (if they have one idk how big their age gap is xp)
-1pcii
i’ve been making jokes about luffy undoubtedly going out of his way to collect a “treasure baby” ala uta and shanks for ages so they actually have an older sibling with an indeterminate personality that’s like six years older then niku but that kid is really probably more of the collective responsibility slash kid of the ship and was like, three when adopted as a cabin boy. and likes ussop the best anyway.
but it was evidence that any of these clowns can be trusted with the responsibility of a human baby, lol. im pretty sure Eldest Sibling By A Country Mile has a bit of a complex about asserting his big brotherly authority…… good luck. lol.
anyway the kobylu baby / niku was an accident (lol!) (koby is extremely embarrassed by this) and is something like three years older then tanto the zolu baby (who may or may not have hatched out of an egg)… she’s pretty protective of them as the baby but they think she’s stupid as hell (and unlike zoro tanto actually has an uncanny sense for direction…. they never bother to tell anyone where they’re going, though).
the cain instinct jumps out pretty embarrassingly fast considering the not insignificant gaps in their ages but they get along pretty well at the end of the day. you know how siblings are. but especially when they’re all crammed on the same ship…. whatever crazy custody agreement where koby yoinks the youngest for a while is the only thing preventing a bloodbath from happening in closed quarters. (cabin boy likes having the ship to himself again before he leaves on his own journey lol koby is like the awkward stepdad he largely mistrusts…. treasure chest gacha ssss+ pull shooting at the fleet admiral or whatever koby is to defend captains honor…… zoro laughed.)
anyway mainly niku thinks her baby sibling is cute and helpless uwa (except when they’re messing with her vintage cavendish posters or whatever die die die die die) and tanto thinks she’s stupid as all hell and kind of ditzy (debatably ironic coming from them) but will silently hamstring losers who think they can get away with bothering her. their dads are all chronically embarrassing people who named them meat and sword. (koby tried)

i think crocodile bulks up with his clothing— it doesn’t look like he’s actually as *large* as he seemed in alabasta beyond being freakishly tall, looking at him in the impel down outfit.
