Let's recap my day so far (it's not even lunch time):
I got woken (again) (as per fucking usual) by the road works outside the house (as opposed to the endless construction next door) (no it doesn't make for a nice change)
Spent half an hour stewing in dysphoria (it makes me miserable that my doctor refuses to prescribe progesterone) (other doctors in this city do) (you can get fined for importing it without a prescription I checked) before getting up
Walked to the mall for a very specific soda (that only this one grocery chain carries) (I've only seen it in this specific store) (they didn't have it even though the website said they did) (yes someone checked the back for me)
I lost my gorgeous clip-on bow (an anniversary present) (from literally a week ago)

At the California Institute of the Arts, it all started with a videoconference between the registrar’s office and a nonprofit.
One of the nonprofit’s representatives had enabled an AI note-taking tool from Read AI. At the end of the meeting, it emailed a summary to all attendees, said Allan Chen, the institute’s chief technology officer. They could have a copy of the notes, if they wanted — they just needed to create their own account.
Next thing Chen knew, Read AI’s bot had popped up inabout a dozen of his meetings over a one-week span. It was in one-on-one check-ins. Project meetings. “Everything.”
The spread “was very aggressive,” recalled Chen, who also serves as vice president for institute technology. And it “took us by surprise.”
The scenariounderscores a growing challenge for colleges: Tech adoption and experimentation among students, faculty, and staff — especially as it pertains to AI — are outpacing institutions’ governance of these technologies and may even violate their data-privacy and security policies.
That has been the case with note-taking tools from companies including Read AI, Otter.ai, and Fireflies.ai.They can integrate with platforms like Zoom, Google Meet, and Microsoft Teamsto provide live transcriptions, meeting summaries, audio and video recordings, and other services.
Higher-ed interest in these products isn’t surprising. For those bogged down with virtual rendezvouses, a tool that can ingest long, winding conversations and spit outkey takeaways and action items is alluring. These services can also aid people with disabilities, including those who are deaf.
But the tools can quickly propagate unchecked across a university. They can auto-join any virtual meetings on a user’s calendar — even if that person is not in attendance. And that’s a concern, administrators say, if it means third-party productsthat an institution hasn’t reviewedmay be capturing and analyzing personal information, proprietary material, or confidential communications.
“What keeps me up at night is the ability for individual users to do things that are very powerful, but they don’t realize what they’re doing,” Chen said. “You may not realize you’re opening a can of worms.“
The Chronicle documented both individual and universitywide instances of this trend. At Tidewater Community College, in Virginia, Heather Brown, an instructional designer, unwittingly gave Otter.ai’s tool access to her calendar, and it joined a Faculty Senate meeting she didn’t end up attending. “One of our [associate vice presidents] reached out to inform me,” she wrote in a message. “I was mortified!”

When they're getting close, it's very evident, the tower of water rising up into the atmosphere before them, and Pearl's driving at that point, but she asks Amethyst to go to the roof and make sure Valor and Flicker are awake.
She parks close to the tower and gets out.
❝This is it. Lapis Lazuli is here.❞ Garnet says.
❝I don't know what she wants with the ocean...❞ Pearl stares up at the tower. ❝What is she doing? What could she possibly even want with the ocean?❞
❝You shouldn't be here!❞
Pearl winces slightly at how loud her voice echoes around them, and Steven tries to deescalate things, but it doesn't work, and Lapis sends out water duplicates of him and the other Crystal Gems, and Pearl summons her spear.
Tumblr media
❝Fight it is.❞ She shifts into a fighting stance. ❝Valor or Flicker, could you fly Steven up to the top of this? I assume that's where she is, and if he heals her, she might be more reasonable. And aggressive or not, I don't want her to shatter incidentally in her state.❞
Both of the grimwalkers grimaced. "That sounds very unfun," Flicker agreed.
They still had a long ride ahead of them. Valor and Flicker swapped between their staffs and the top of the van every so often, and Valor took the chance to try to get a bit more sleep, using his sibling as a pillow on the roof of the van. He knew they'd keep watch for him should anything dangerous happen.
That wasn't to say his sleep was uninterrupted. He was a light sleeper as it was, so he woke up often between conversation and bumps in the ocean floor and Flicker shifting into better positions. But he fell back asleep quickly, so taken altogether he managed another hour or two of sleep.
That wasn't an unusual sleep pattern for him, getting less-than-optimal sleep at night and making up for it in several catnaps throughout the day, when there were the sounds of his family's activities to keep the bad thoughts and nightmares at bay.
Usually it wasn't on top of a car, though.
Once they got close, though, he made sure to be alert, preparing himself for whatever they might encounter.

Unlocking Academic Success: The Crucial Role of University Transcripts in Shaping Careers
Tumblr media
Navigating Academia: The Essence and Significance of University Transcripts
In the dynamic world of academia, university transcripts serve as tangible evidence of a student's educational journey, which involves years of hard work, dedication, and intellectual growth. This article explores the importance of university transcripts by highlighting the processes involved in obtaining transcripts from specific universities such as Ranchi University, Osmania University, JNTUH, Pune University, and VTU. We will also discuss the broader concept of university transcripts and how they play an important role in shaping academic and professional paths.
Understanding University Transcripts
University transcripts are comprehensive documents that contain a student's academic history, showing courses taken, grades received, and overall performance during their university tenure. These records are indispensable, serving various purposes in both academic and business fields.
Specifics Matter: Ranchi University Transcripts
For students who have perused the academic landscape of Ranchi University, obtaining transcripts involves a systematic approach. Interested individuals may access the University Registrar's Office, complete the requisite transcript request form, and comply with any prescribed fees. Ranchi University transcript not only validates academic achievements but also opens doors to employment opportunities, higher education activities and immigration processes.
Osmania University and JNTUH Transcripts
Similar to Ranchi University, Osmania University and JNTUH have their own separate procedures for releasing transcripts. These documents play an important role for individuals who have graduated from these institutions, serving as a comprehensive record that can be presented to potential employers, graduate schools, or immigration authorities. The journey to obtain an Osmania University or JNTUH transcript usually involves liaising with the registrar office and following the prescribed protocol.
Pune University and VTU Transcripts:
Searching for transcripts from Pune University or VTU (Visvesvaraya Technological University) follows the same pattern as other universities. Interested candidates must submit a transcript request form, submit required details, and may be required to make some payments. For example, University of Pune transcripts are important for those who want to showcase their academic skills in various professional or academic settings. On the other hand, VTU transcripts serve as evidence of the technical skills and expertise acquired during one's engineering education.
The Global Perspective: How Worldwide Transcripts Shape Opportunities:
In an era of increasing globalization, the importance of university transcripts has extended beyond national boundaries. Worldwide transcripts provide a standardized means of assessing an individual's academic abilities, making them invaluable in international job markets, admissions processes for global universities, and immigration evaluation. A candidate armed with a set of transcripts from prestigious universities gains a competitive edge, as these documents are universally recognized symbols of academic achievement.
Conclusion: Empowering Futures Through University Transcripts:**
In conclusion, university transcripts are not mere documents; They are gateways to opportunities. Whether you are traversing the academic landscape of Ranchi, Osmania, JNTUH, Pune, or VTU, the importance of transcripts remains constant. These records, coupled with the worldwide recognition of transcripts, have the power to shape and elevate careers, facilitating seamless transitions from university life to the broader horizons of the professional and academic world. As you begin the journey of obtaining your university transcripts, remember that these documents are not just papers; They are the narrative of your academic odyssey, carving out the story of your intellectual growth for the world to see.

alright here's the rundown. more detailed version coming soon probably. the things i do for you guys
(transcript of prologue below the cut)
It's a lavender sky this time, this world. A lavender sky deepening to aubergine over a city of neon and brass. It's beautiful in it's way, just like any other city on any other world.
I-prime hasn't bothered to learn its name.
He stands in the hotel window, watching the burnished streets below gleam with fading light. The rhythmic thrum beneath his feet signals the rousing of the club below. They're playing a song that I has never heard in his life, yet part of him remembers it all the same.
The blank-faced watch on his wrist chimes a single long tone. I-piece taps its face without taking his eyes off the path into the nightclub.
"Hello, T."
"You're not in position," T says through the speaker. Their voice betrays none of the frustration that I knows he must feel.
"I'm where I need to be," I-prime says.
"We talked about this—"
"Yes, you talked, that's what you do. I make decisions."
T-piece's response is cut off by further chimes from the watch. Short, long, short, short—then the voice of L comes through.
"There's no time," she says. "The Boss just Held onto J. It's on, it's now."
"As expected," says I.
With a snap of his fingers the air before him splits. I-prime reaches into the crack between two universes and retrieves his sniper rifle. He looks down its sights, out the window, down the gleaming street.
Someone approaches the door to the club. A tall, svelt man with a face that I-prime is so sick of seeing other people wear.
I wonder what this one's named, I-prime muses as he lines up the shot.
Izaak? Ignacius? Indigo?
As he pulls the trigger on himself from another life, I-prime knows it doesn't matter what this alternate is called.
He lost track of their names a long time ago.
