haley: when their parents were still home she used to take dance classes in zuzu city but had to stop after they left. she cant drive but if she had a vehicle it would be a pink or other brightly coloured jeep. shes a lesbian!!! but it took her a long time to figure it out cause of compulsory heterosexuality. and shes fat ❤️😇 shes the biggest bachelorette for sure

emily: haley's second mother, oldest daughter syndrome, etc etc etc. often the "mom friend" without even noticing because she's had to care for haley her whole life. she fully believes in astrology and takes it very seriously (but maybe in this universe, there is more truth to that kind of spiritual stuff than our own). i think she's a little bit magic, could make a good apprentice for the wizard, i mean she astral projects into the farmer's dreams multiple times! that's a magical ability if i've ever seen one.

sebastian: totally 100% a transfem egg. i believe in my heart that seb is a trans woman and not just cause of that one anon (who is VERY WISE). she wouldn't figure it out very quickly, possibly go through a "nonbinary phase" and use they/them because she doesn't feel Trans Enough. the problem would be that she doesn't feel the need to change her presentation very much - same clothes, hairstyle, etc., and experience self-doubt as a result. she would not be sure what she wants, and would start HRT because she's afraid she'll regret it if she doesn't, then discover that it's awesome and was the right decision all along (that's what happened to me with T lol and its so common).

kay faraday for the character ask!

Kay is awesome!!!! Easily one of my favourite characters in the series, so cool and funny and I wish people appreciated her more (a long running problem).

There are a fair few characters I like to ship with her like Ema (the obvious), Franziska, TFem Seb and Maya and in fact I made a poly ship with all of them because I can't help myself.

For a non romantic OTP, I'll go with Gumshoe, their dynamic is so amazing and wholesome and they make such a good team.

My unpopular opinion is that she's a Trans Woman, but that's an unpopular opinion for all but a few characters that the fandom had deemed acceptable so I'll go with the other unpopular opinion.

I do genuinely enjoy the parental dynamic between her and Edgeworth but I feel people go too far with it, making it really domestic, having her get adopted and forgetting that they're 8 years apart in age, I swear there are more creative and subtle ways to do found family.

The thing I wished happened in Canon is that I wish she came back post time-skip because with some good writing, she'd be fucking awesome. Just imagine a grown up Kay who's properly taken up the Yatagarasu!!

talking about my wip/go to fantasy for when im bored in class because i have nothing to do

it doesn't really have a name, but it's about 3 flatmates who are kinda broke and in their 20s (except for steve but i'll get to him in a moment), one of them's rock band, and the sheer chaos that they are constantly in.

we have:

Seb (sebastian) - he/him, gay, plays guitar, is a complete disaster and a total mood, looks like a metalhead but listens to all rock music, really ("i don't see any difference, rock is rock"). he's a bit of a dumbass but not that stupid and really cares about his friends (even if he seldom shows it). he works in a record shop since he dropped out of university, now he is in a band.

Vivian - she/her, maybe bisexual?? she doesn't know (i don't know either i haven't decided yet), aspiring stylist/movie costume designer, sleep deprived and coffee dependant, sarcastic sense of humour, can't stand her flatmates, actually a nice person if you aren't seb or his bandmates (except eve).

Steve - he/him, the most middle-aged-dad-literally-just-some-guy ever, ghost. yeah, he's a ghost, he died 30 years ago (in the dullest way you can imagine) and since then he haunts the house. not that he cares about all that haunting stuff tho, he's just here to read his newspapers and chill. he can't really chill though because he has to hear the band practice and vivian argue with seb every. single. day.

then there's the Haunters (because of steve haunting the house), seb's band, and we have:

David - he/him, trans and bi, singer, he and seb were best friends in middle school and high school, they were inseparable until he got a girlfriend (who looked suspiciously a lot like seb) and went in the same university as her. when they split up, like 2-3 years later, he realized uni wasn't for him and went to find seb again. seb is in love with him since they were 16.

Ash - they/them, aroace, bass player, met seb in the record shop and have been friends for a couple of years. they're the youngest member of the band and has been basically adopted by them. tiny and angry, has a collection of sunglasses and gets bored easily because of no attention span whatsoever (they're literally me except i don't play bass).

Eve - she/they, lesbian, drummer, vivian's best friend (who doesn't approve of her being in the band tho) and fashion icon. can't drive but loves to and doesn't let anyone touch her car. she is the one who knows seb and david the least, so she's constantly going insane over their always present sexual tension and obvious mutual untold love.

basically the main story is: vivian wants to hold a party to show how cool she is and how good her clothes are so that she can get a job and start her career as a designer, meanwhile david arrives unannounced to reunite with seb after 2 or 3 years since they last saw each other. they decide to put together their old high school band again, ash joins them and later so does eve (who met the band kinda by accident). they start playing together and they like it so much they manage to convince vivian to let them play at her party. while her, eve and ash organize the party and try to figure out all the problems and trouble they find along the way (steve tries to help too), seb and david have to put back together their frienship by being extremely gay and even more oblivious with each other. the day of the party comes and everything is set up (more or less), the guests are all there and vivian is confident. all the attention should be on her creations but when the haunters start playing they steal the spotlight with an amazing performance and the frontman and guitarist being unintentionally very homoerotic. the tension between the two finally breaks after they kiss on stage and they Realize a LOT of things. but the show must go on, they keep playing while ash is unimpressed (they saw that coming) and eve is SHOCKED (they didn't), but not for long because steve arrives to see what the hell is going on in the living room and he's VERY angry because he just wants to read but there's too much noise, so he freaks out all the guests. they all run away, stuff catches fire, it's a MESS, and vivian is FURIOUS. just before she's about to commit 4 murders in a row (not 5 because steve is already dead) seb and david escape and there's like a wholehearted conversation about their feelings (spoiler: they're been super in love with each other since before david got a gf but didn't realize it) also they make out a little??? idk i'm too aroace for this. meanwhile the rest of the band is also safe from vivian's rage because a woman approaches her and tells her how cool this whole performance was (clearly thought it was fake) and offers her a job. everyone gets an happy ending but the story WILL go on because the hunters are gonna keep playing and maybe they'll get famous and vivian too, who knows? (i don't)

Hi! I don't want to start anything on here and am always willing for civil conversations. At this point there's so much I've found out about Seb (besides the video he liked, the tommy lee thing, and the girlfriend thing) that I feel so guilty if I would continue to support him. I love him sm but it just doesn't look good rn. He is associated/follows an organisation (for helping veterans) that has posted a blue lives matter flag picture and who's co-founder has sexual assault allegations against him, and worked with him in 'The last full measure'. His friend Paul Walter Hauser has done blackface in the past, and when called out on it he just listed a few people that also did blackface. There's more, I found a discussion on here that I can link. I seriously don't support "cancel culture" bc I don't think it helps anyone but there are just a lot of 'mistakes' and shady people that can be linked to Seb, I wish it wouldn't be that way. I honestly don't know what to think about it anymore.

Hi! I’m also open to having civil conversations and I don’t believe you’re trying to start anything. I really do think this situation of dragging up a four year old video and taking it completely out of context is harmful not just to Black people, but to fandom/activism in general. This is gonna be long because I’m going to take your points one by one, and I want to preface this by saying that I will not answer any derogatory, sideways asks pertaining to this subject. I will delete every single one and will block your silly ass. I’m not going to argue with people who think I’m blindly supporting Sebastian because I’m just trying to get fucked by him, or people who think I hate myself and am trying to appease some white man.

So, on with the discourse!

The video he liked - this video was taken completely out of context and that is my main issue with this whole situation. It was not a video of a white man saying that he thinks he should be able to say the n word as everyone claimed it was. They were quickly debating on whether or not it's okay to say in rap lyrics. He was told no, that's not okay, that's never okay and they moved on from it. That's it. End of story. That somehow was twisted into a click bait style headline of "Sebastian Stan likes a video of a white man defending his right to say the n word" when that is absolutely not true. My other issue is that people are more upset that Sebastian liked the video than they are about the white man in the video literally saying the n word. So, do you really care about the use of the n word like you're claiming? Cuz if you do, you'd be more upset at the white man that said the word than you would be about the white man simply liking the video. Or, are you just using this as an excuse to grandstand against a white man you don't like?

The Tommy Lee thing - Sebastian Stan playing Tommy Lee does not make Sebastian Stan a bad person. Is Charlize Theron a bad person for playing Aileen Wuornos, a prostitute who started murdering men? Is Leonardo DiCaprio a bad person for playing a slave owner? Is Edward Norton a bad person for playing a nazi sympathizing racist? Actors play bad people. That doesn't mean that they themselves are bad people. 1990's Tommy Lee was a bad person, but that should have no bearing on who Sebastian Stan is or his character as a man.

The gf/Paul Walter Hauser thing - Why are we holding Sebastian accountable for what the people around him are doing? Again, why are we more upset that Sebastian is associated with people who have done questionable things than the specific people themselves? I'm not going to speak on the kimono wearing -- I'm not Asian. It's not my place to say whether or not its offensive because it's not my culture, but she posted that picture and attended that party before she started dating Sebastian, quite possibly before she even knew him. Same with Paul. I think that black face thing was long before he knew Sebastian. Now, if Sebastian was defending these actions, going around saying "I think it's okay for white women to wear Kimono's" "I think black face is fine" "I think white people should be able to say the n word" then we'd have a different story, wouldn't we? But that's not what we have, and that's not what he is doing. He is not responsible for the things his friends do or have done in the past just because he's more famous than they are, and he is not required to speak on them. Let's put it this way -- would you be comfortable having to be responsible for something a friend of yours did before you knew them? Would you want to have to be forced to answer for your friend when you yourself had nothing to do with the questionable behavior?

The organization that supports the military/blue lives matter - Sebastian cannot control what message that foundation puts out and it does not mean that he is or is not pro-police himself. There is not enough concrete evidence -- if any evidence for that matter -- that Sebastian is a blue lives matter supporter. Did Sebastian donate before they put up the blue lives matter post? Or after? I don’t know, cuz I don’t follow him that closely, but if he donates before they come out with a particular stance, that means he should be held accountable for that? I know I donated to an organization once and they turned out to support something that i’m 100% against. That means I’m a bad person because I couldn’t see into the future? Another point, how can we be certain that Sebastian saw the blue lives matter post in the first place? I know I’m not online 24 hrs a day, I miss posts all the time and I’m just an average person. I make three or four tumblr posts a day, and I’m gone. I have to play catch up on social media, and even then, I still miss stuff. So I’m sure the same happens to a working actor. As for the co-founder, I don't know who this person is and would rather not get into any allegations against them because I don't want to trigger anyone who comes across this post. If Sebastian knows about these allegations, is a willing participant/supporter of this person then yeah, that's pretty shitty, but we don't know the inner workings of this friendship/acquaintance/work relationship. We don’t know how close they are or if they even still speak.

I’m a pretty big fan of Don Cheadle. He’s a stand up guy, he’s a great actor, he’s funny, he’s political and stands up for what he believes in and in a very public way. I support him. Don Cheadle is also friends with Chris Evans, RDJ, Mark Ruffalo, and Letitia Wright (just to name a few). Chris Evans has a bipartisan forum that highlights/promotes right wing politicians, RDJ defended Chris Pratt during the whole “he’s the worst Chris in Hollywood” crap, who’s technically done black face, and who once said to a female reporter “nice tits” when she walked into the room, Mark Ruffalo just walked back his support of Palestine, and Letitia Wright retweeted/supported an anti-vaxxer/anti-trans Pastor who equated an ingredient of the covid vaccine to the devil because it contained some parts of the word Lucifer. Does that mean Don is now a bad person because he’s friends with these people? Why isn’t he getting any heat for his friendships with them? Why isn’t he being held accountable for what they’ve done and said? Oh right, because he’s not a white fave. So people don’t care one way or the other, which brings me to my next point. 

I can guarantee you that if Sebastian’s gf or Paul or this co-founder were not associated with Sebastian in any way, nobody would give a shit about her wearing a kimono, about Paul doing black face, or about the co-founder/organization being blue lives matter supporters and in that lies the actual problem. Being critical of people and their actions should be consistent and should happen all the time -- not just when they interact with your white fave. That’s when it becomes performative and looks like you just want to be able to show internet people that you follow/support/stan unproblematic celebrities, when really, you don’t care.

I think the moral of this post is that I think it's unfair to hold a complete stranger to a standard that I cannot hold myself to. I also don't view celebrities the way most teenagers/twenty somethings do, and that’s because when I entered fandom we didn't have social media, so I grew up with a wall between myself and said celebrities. There is no wall now with the presence of social media. "Fans" nowadays have a weird ownership feeling over celebrities because they can read their personal thoughts or view personal pictures and think that they have this personal quasi-friendship with them. I can't get on board with that. I prefer having the wall and I still keep the wall.

If supporting Sebastian makes you uncomfortable, then by all means, stop supporting him. Just make sure you are making this decision for yourself based on credible sources and concrete evidence and that you're not letting this fake woke activist mob make you feel uncomfortable. Internet activism means nothing unless you put your money where your mouth is in your real life and 90% of the social justice internet warriors do not. Real activism is bigger than changing your avi to a black square.

His screenshots of our DMs were purposely misleading, as well. Like how Seb cut out context, he left out a lot of the things he said that make him look racist and sexist. I don’t like female gender roles in relationships, and Blu knew this, but he kept trying to tell me that I couldn’t find a man who would be ok with me wanting to play a traditionally masculine role in a relationship while also being accepting of my opinions, hobbies and beliefs. It felt like he was just trying to pound this fact into my head, that I can't find a country boy (Aussie or otherwise) who likes masculine women who don't bottom. There's so much to look through but here's a few messages where he said some stuff I found sexist- including him trying to convince me I'm trans.

Did I say sexist things and word things badly? Yes, I’m not denying that. I really regret saying those things, and I really am trying to work on my own body dysmorphia issues because they’re the main source of me having these opinions. It also unfortunately completely killed my bisexuality- he claims I was only pretending to be bisexual, but that’s just not the case. I actually have been in the past but my dysmorphia issues have returned to the point that I no longer can handle looking at vaginas. When we first met, it wasn’t very bad at all and I did like them somewhat, but that’s just not the case anymore. I’m still seeing a therapist to help me work on this problem - not just this problem, but all the problems I’ve mentioned, like the ones involving taking accountability and understanding boundaries. I'm really wanting to get over my aversion to vaginas and the extreme dissatisfaction I have with female gender roles and especially the expectation of me to be penetrated.

I will also say that I feel like Blu trying to convince me that I’m transgender because I don’t like my genitals and am dissatisfied with female gender roles- especially in relationships- had an air of sexism to it. To be fair, I may be misinterpreting his intentions and he was genuinely trying to help, but I still feel that it’s quite sexist to say “women have quality A, men have quality B, if you have quality B then you’re transgender, end of conversation”. My dad told me for years and years, "If you're going to be masculine you won't ever attract any men, you'll only attract women. Act like a woman or date women, those are your choices." And he still makes little jabs at me for doing more masculine things- for example if I get competitive about something physical he says sarcastically "oh you're such a big strong man!". And I felt like Blu was mirroring this exact sentiment of "if you like men you have to be dainty and act like a woman." Like he said, blokes aren't a monolith, but these sentiments along with some other stuff he already screenshotted just reaffirmed the long-standing belief I've had that I'm a defective woman because I don't do anything the way women should by his own standards.

This was a long time coming.

I think a good place to start would be the spark that set off this whole chain reaction. 

I’m not sure how long I’d been in that server for when the NSFW in general incident happened. But one thing’s for sure - I didn’t start the conversation about NSFW topics. Like I mentioned on the Reddit post where someone had found me and started accusing me under my comment on the Janitor.AI post, I saw the people there discussing mpreg and oviposition. I looked at it and thought “wow the rules are a lot more lax than I initially thought!”. Yes, I know, looking back, that should’ve been a huge red flag. I also know that, looking back, I should never talk about NSFW in the general chat- even if everyone else is doing it. “If so-and-so jumped off a cliff” and all. I’m really sorry that I did that, and it was definitely a lesson for me.  But I really wasn’t thinking about that at the time. It wasn’t my intention to hurt anyone, and I especially wouldn’t have done it if I knew minors would be there. I know it wasn’t an 18+ server, and it was just a frankly idiotic move on my part. I just saw “Sniper pregnant” and pictures of the mercs with big bellies, and let my better judgment and reasoning get clouded.  However, the way that they’re portraying this incident is extremely intellectually dishonest. Gabriel failed to mention in his callout post that those minors were looking at and sharing fetish art of the mercs, leaving out most of the context for those. Thankfully one of my friends from Chipspeech (who I’ll leave anonymous) joined the server to check and see if the fetish art was still there. It was. Hobqueer and the moderators never deleted any of the discussion, and worst of all they left the fetish pictures up in full view of everybody. One person, who later admitted to being a minor in a dm, even gave a pretty graphic description of a tentacle hentai/mpreg comic. Be warned, this contains NSFW content. I blurred the names of anybody who isn't mentioned in this post.

Sebastian in general can be seen as a very open-minded person which is why he has no problem with you having decided to be what you really are on the inside. Sebs just supports you and is not above being proud that his s/o made that decision since such a thing is not easy to do.

🐈‍⬛Of course given the time both of them are in, he knows what his darling has to go on a daily base through, facing utter disrespect and many weirded out looks and gossiping. It is why he stalks his darling whenever he gets the chance, his protectiveness raising whenever seeing someone not being able to keep their mouth shut. But his s/o does not have to worry, Sebastian is always there to talk and comfort his darling. Of course disrespectful persons will pay as well, Sebastian threatening and scaring them and if he is at that time with his darling, he’ll humiliate the person verbally in front of everyone. Kind of tries at first to manipulate you into just not going outside in order to avoid all this scum. This is actually be one of the reasons why he kidnapped you, because he wanted you away from nasty and ignorant people.

🐈‍⬛His behavior overall doesn’t change though, he acts pretty much the same way with the same amount of affection and the same sweet talking and the same domination. He doesn’t want his darling to get the feeling he treats him differently just because he changed gender and is not a woman any longer. His master might raise an eyebrow slightly when hearing from his s/o the first time as well as the servants, but they welcome his darling rather enthusiastically and won’t discriminate him.

He pretty much only cared about his darling’s soul at first which is why he never cared much about that he was trans, not asking for the reason and just wanting that soul. It was only after he realized that he had fallen that he became more curious about all of this. He accepts it as well, though I feel like he would have to know a bit more of your reasons why you did so since he is a bit narrow-minded.

🕷He dislikes the fact that his darling is being treated the way he is, it never fails to make him infuriated and he finds it quite shameful that people are even this way, humans are indeed pathetic. Claude’s daily plans and schedules are a bit tighter than Sebastian’s are since Alois is a needy bratty guy and for that he has to spend often the first half of the day in the manor. It just puts him more at edge and if he gets some free time in between, he always uses it to stalk on his mate. Since he is not able to protect you for a longer time, he tries to talk you into staying at home and letting him handle everything once he has the time. Of course he’s going to kidnap you, specially because of such disgusting lowlife, although he gladly removed all of them.

🕷Claude is in that regard rather similar to Sebastian, he doesn’t love his darling any less and still takes care of him all by himself. And the story with Alois is pretty much the same as well, he refuses to let that blond brat ever find out about his darling’s existence since he can gladly pass on the tantrum and the risk of Alois demanding to give up on you. He doesn’t trust anyone with his darling, only himself.

Hannah Annafellows

🟣She is a soft yet very manipulative demon and she seemed to have had a female form long before making a contract with anybody which just hints that she likes her actual form which is of course good. Hannah wants her darling to be happy with himself and her which is why she is very encouraging and supportive of him being the way she is, she knows that this is what he needs in times like this. So it also helps her winning her darling easier over and making him rely and trust her more.

🟣Not even his own family might be ready to interact with him after he had his change and whilst Hannah is glad that she is pretty much the only person in her mate’s life, she is also incredibly salty that not even his own relatives want to be in contact anymore, it makes her feel in a way almost sorry that he had to give up on so much because he wanted to be himself. She simply can not tolerate it whenever she sees someone talking down to her darling and she always lectures such people sadistically afterwards. She also genuinely begs her darling to not leave the house unless she is there, she can not stand the thought of someone being rude and dragging him down in the process. Hannah just appears as a very sweet, caring and concerned person which is why it might be a bit shocking for her s/o when she abducts him one day.

🟣She continues being very attentive and caring to him, so much more if her darling returns her feelings which should not be too hard since she is so gentle and Aldo slyly manipulative to him. Now she doesn’t have to worry about someone hurting you anymore and can just let you be you without someone judging. She kind of only lets the triplets be somewhat near you when she has business she has to do, but needs someone to watch over you.

Kurapika Kurta

⛓He at first truly just thinks of his darling as a good friend because that is how both of them start, as friends. And when he first was being told that you were trans, he smiled about it and said that there was no reason for you to be worried, he still viewed you as someone close to him. So Kurapika finds himself almost a bit oblivious at first with his feelings since he needs time to fall for a person and additionally he might not have expected to fall for you, his best friend. When he does find it out he might actually be a bit torn apart since he always imagined to start with his love his clan new which is biologically after surgery not possible anymore.

⛓His conflicted behavior shows which might confuse his s/o at first to why he suddenly is that way. On the one hand he grows incredibly uncomfortable with all possible sorts of people around him, always trying to find excuses to why the two of them have to go away now quickly and he is all of a sudden very intense with his reactions when someone thinks of you being trans negative, terrifying the person whilst also putting you protectively behind him only to quickly drag you away from the people. On the other hand he often stares with a deep in thoughts look at his darling with this weird smile on his face only to snap out of it when he notices the weird look he is getting from his darling. He is just incredibly worried that you might not feel the same, but on the other hand he is also horrified about your safety.

⛓All stories you might have told him once before suddenly work as a justification to why he kidnapped you, because no one understood you. Kurapika decides to put your safety for now over your own happiness, he’s just lost too much to lose someone else. He mostly only confesses afterwards to his darling. He is sort of desperate afterwards, especially if his darling doesn’t feel romantically attracted to men because just because he wanted to be one doesn’t mean he has to have this sort of interest in them.

Illumi Zoldyck

���The definition of confused when he realizes that he has some sort of attraction to his darling, he is clueless to why because his family pretty much drilled the belief in his head that he has to marry a woman and have children with her which might not be possible anymore and since he always believed himself to do as his family has told him, he has just no idea why he feels for someone who can not provide him with what his family wants. Not gonna lie, he might be at first majorly dissatisfied with this, even more so when finding out that his darling used to be female.

🤎So he kind of tries to ignore his feelings at first, not seeing how you should fit his standards. Yet he can not stop stalking his darling, not being able to shake this weird feeling off. Why exactly you? You won’t even notice him at first, though you still realize that people around you seem to disappear slowly, loved ones and those who didn’t like you. And so it happens that one day you’ll be knocked out, only to wake up afterwards with him staring down at you. And that’s where something akin to an interrogation starts with him wanting to know in detail why you chose to change your whole gender and you kind of sense that he is mad. Ridiculous to think so, but he feels like you made a too important choice without him, though he didn’t even know you when you did.

🤎He still defends his darling fiercely against his whole family because they’re not very happy with this decision, especially not his mother. The Zoldyck family is mostly actually pretty stunned that Illumi fell for his darling in the first place and they thought that they had trained him enough. Additionally he always seemed to be the most loyal of the family so him disobeying orders so much is new to all of them and his behavior manages to slightly worry them. But they decide to let his darling be and after all of this it is maybe understandable why he is against the thought of letting his family see his s/o.

Light Yagami

✍️He is almost irritated once he discovers his rather unhealthy obsession with his darling. I literally can not see him as someone who would fall for someone he met after he found the Death Note because that made him ducking delusional and twisted and he only used people afterwards. It would be hard for him to fall genuinely in love with someone afterwards. So he would have to have known his darling at the very least beforehand and so he might have witnessed how conflicted he used to be about his gender and before he might have decided to not interfere unless he was a close friend of his.

✍️Not gonna lie, he kind of tries to hide his feelings at first instead of going directly out to charm his s/o. He knows that this might lead to unwanted attention since trans people are still not fully respected and additionally his darling might not be into men that way. This makes him go silently crazy and whilst he still suddenly increases the encounters he makes with his darling, he does not let anyone know about the way he feels. But he still becomes protective because he sees the way you are sometimes being disrespected or made fun off since you changed gender and this makes Light fuming. He views this definitely as a problem he has to fix and sees you as a victim he has to save from the piles of trash.

✍️It is still very much toxic with him because if his darling does like men, he forces him to keep the relationship a secret for now, although he has his possessive outbursts and if his darling doesn’t like men, he forces him into a relationship with the Death Note as his weapon and additionally he still uses Misa as his toy to reach his goal. And he has to make sure that she does not find out that you two are together in which case the fact that you are now a man might work to his favor in here. He won’t be able to keep this a secret forever and he knows that as well.

L Lawliet

🍰He knows it all about his darling the moment he caught L’s interest and since he has the connections and the intelligence, he will have his darling quickly figured out. And different from Light, he doesn’t feel confused or irritated, he just takes the fact that he fell in love with a transgender person. I don’t think L has any sort of preferences when it comes to such stuff, he does not care at all. He just wants love.

🍰There are still things he wants to know personally from his darling once he finally thinks he knows enough to approach him and start getting in contact with him. And his darling feels for probably the first time really understood since L knows how he feels and thinks and since he is just so chill with the topic, it is nice to be around him. He just knows what to say since he knows hobbies, likings and whatever else he was able to get his hands on. But despite being more laid-back, it doesn’t mean he will just stand quietly by if he witnesses disrespect, he will interfere. He most likely took care of the most common culprits anyways beforehand, he just doesn’t like seeing it when someone is downright rude. So at first he only keeps a friendship before it becomes too much for him and he kidnaps his darling.

🍰The main reason he abducts him is still because he fears that someone who is on bad terms with him wants to take revenge on him by harming his darling. It’s of course also because he doesn’t think it is right and fair to mistreat someone just because he chose that he is someone else and couldn’t be someone he isn’t. And he has no reason to act differently, he doesn’t have to worry about reputation and attention like Light has which is why he is free to be all touchy and cuddly with his darling like he wants to be.

Yelena

🔥I can not see her caring about this information all too much, it’s not like it’ll change anything. She still very much plans on taking the dominant part, no matter if her darling is now a man or not. Since Yelena is a worshipper but nature it is maybe just logical why she doesn’t even think about being angry with her darling. Instead she admires his determination since there were certainly people who were against this.

🔥And those are people Yelena automatically dislikes before even having met them. The knowledge that those are persons who were against your wishes or behave inappropriately towards you are enough reasons to make her look down on them, not only in the literal sense. I do see people probably thinking twice about letting a negative comment out about you when Yelena is with you because she is intimidating and if they do, they most likely have in the very next instead a hun pointed against their head with Yelena about to pull the trigger. Terrifying, but it does wonders and her darling can quite literally count how everybody suddenly becomes more nice, knowing that a feral woman will be after them if she ever finds out and believe me, she will.

🔥That is exactly why Yelena monopolizes your time so much. She can not see anyone else as exactly trustworthy and worms who ever said something negative will now be too scared to come even close, not when they see her anywhere nearby. She is additionally just possessive and wants her darling for herself. And Yelena herself doesn’t come over as too girly over either, not at all. So no matter what, despite all the worshipping she still makes sure that her darling knows that he belongs to her.

Dabi/Touya Todoroki

🔹Personally I don’t see him as someone who would care about something like this, not when he looks like this, all burnt. Regarding his looks Dabi finds himself becoming more insecure when it comes to his darling since he views him as handsome. He mostly only stalks his darling at first because he is a villain and can not let himself be seen, he knows this will bring you into troubles which he doesn’t want. Instead he becomes a silent guardian at first and since he knows it’s not an easy decision to go against the expectations and wishes everyone else has, he is incredibly proud that his s/o has the willpower to do so.

🔹But whilst he makes sure that his darling is safe, the same can not be said about everyone else. Because it has to be only a wrong comment, even in a jokingly way and this will be taken offensively by him, partially because Dabi knows that it might be uncomfortable for you to hear others joking about it in a way you could get it wrong. It’s probably not the first time you got surprised looks when telling someone about it and even saw others acting a bit strange to you afterwards. And what makes you sad makes Dabi mad and so an increase of dead and burnt bodies will be reported only shortly after.

🔹Deep down he knows that life won’t be better once he takes his darling. But he also has to travel around quite a bit with his job in the League of Villains. Of course his possessive side also plays a part in all of this which is why at one point in the timeline he takes his darling with him, not willing to leave him behind. And generally he appears to be very calm, though it is horrifying for his darling to know that he has been kidnapped by a villain, but this was expected by Dabi. And he really tries to give you time to adjust, but trans or not, he is needy and can get unnerving if he is left waiting for too long.

Reiji Sakamaki

☕️At first he is just very annoyed with all of this land it doesn’t even have to be because his darling is trans. It’s more because he fell for a petty little human, something that is out of his league and under him. It just irritates Reiji because he doesn’t know what makes him special because there has to be something that made him feel this way which is why he becomes obsessive and wants to figure out what exactly makes him so flattered about him.

☕️Surely Reiji is extremely strict and has high expectations, but this does not include the fact that his darling changed gender from female to male. It surely was a huge decision, but if that is what he wanted, Reiji only expects him to be satisfied with this afterwards. I can see him as someone who would want to talk with you about it simply because he wants to understand your reasons better, but he will at least accept them. He kidnaps his darling pretty early as well, to be accurate as soon as he views him as worthy. And whilst now the problem with infuriating people is out of the house, a few new problems in form of his brothers enter who not only get under his skin by harassing his darling, but definitely also don’t miss out on being mean to Reiji’s s/o. And even Reiji can not always stay calm, although he tries to keep composure since he knows what his brothers want, especially the triplets.

☕️Reiji himself decides to not be mean and poke tormenting fun at this topic, he can just imagine how often you must havee heard this before and since he can be a gentleman if his darling behaves, he will not mention it. He has other things he can use to keep his darling at bay. He knows how exhausting his brothers can be with all their mean comments and since he has a certain admiration for you because you chose to be you, he actually finds himself comforting you whenever he has to save you from Ayato, Laito and Kanato, knowing too well what they did.

Got a lot done today, rewarding self with hsmtmts S1 (who am I kidding, this was going to happen regardless) just starting ep 3, thoughts that contain S2 spoilers below

It's not as awkwardly zany as I feared! I think its mockumentary style is certainly more stylized than it's become, but the jokes still land. Even though some of said jokes are based on their characters' archetypes rather than the people they're going to grow into. What can you do, it's only been an hour of runtime, everything's gonna be different by hour 10.

Gosh the kids are so young! But they're all doing so so so well. I've also now seen an hour or two of cast interviews, and the age differences of the actors is pretty wild. Like I think Frankie is one of the older ones, but for the first time I paid attention and found out Carlos is supposed to be a sophomore like Gina (but now it makes more sense that he's only just turning 16 lolololol)

I'm feeling really bad for Ricky, remembering that his home life troubles are specifically what are causing him to react and over-react and generally be a drama-maker on behalf of the plot. Like on one hand, it's such an interesting choice to have your leading man be the anti-hero of his own story, 'cause he hecks up ALL the time and is sometimes hard to root for, but taking a step back to observe that this is a fiction and everything is designed with intent, Ricky's character isn't really a hero or villain, he's a personification of a message, which is that sometimes you gotta dig deep and identify the root of your problems first before you can start applying beneficial solutions. And you might just keep hecking up until you get there. The stuff with his mom in 2x09 is sosososososo important and a long time coming, the character's going to have to be a different person going forward because he's finally been able to address some of his issues that have been festering since 1x01.

Semi-related, I'll always show up for a good redemption arc. Ricky, the hero, is going to need one! Nini might even get one (1000% I don't believe she needs one, keep self-actualizing, queen!), but anyway the S1 antagonist trio of EJ, Gina, and Mr. Mazzara is so fun/frustrating to watch, knowing that in S2 they're literally all going to become not just protagonists but also my favorite ones.

ALSO seeing evil!Gina and villainous!EJ interact keeps giving me chills. Those poor kids have NO IDEA what they're in for!!!!!

Similarly, Matt Cornett has grown on me a lot. Even first time through, I thought he was the weakest of the cast (lol he's the oldest, he's ridiculously old for that baby face) and just now in One Billion Sorrys I was like, isn't EJ supposed to be leading man material? Why is his performance so bad for comedy reasons? Oh... it's less comedy reasons and more Matt Cornett doing his best? Also why is he so white-washed this season! The makeup they've caked on him makes him look sickly. ANYWAY he's really come a long way, and especially with the stuff they've been giving him in S2, his scenes where EJ's successfully engaging with Gina as a human being are sosososo effective and I'm looking forward to getting back to that point.

Clocking some callbacks S2 has made to S1, like Kourtney talking to Nini about how she's avoiding talking to Ricky about something important and then Ricky comes up, or Nini needing to keep her phone out of the hands of her insecure clingy boyfriends so they don't jealously delete things. EDIT: just finished S1 and there was another major parallel I noticed but since noticing I have somehow forgotten :<<<<< OH COULD IT HAVE BEEN 1x08 is where Ricky and Nini rekindle things and 2x08 is where they call it quits????? (also Ricky getting earth-shattering home & family news on holidays and having to bottle it up b/c someone's on his doorstep and he has to perform Emotional Stability) (found another one, Miss Jenn's "Trust the process" vs Dean Patel's "Trust the outcome.") (Miss Jenn giving Nini a voice and YAC literally taking it away)

I guess also Ricky's mom problem and Nini's decision to put her dreams first were the inciting incidents for these two characters' arcs -- like, the narrative's inciting incident is "I think I kinda you know," and it plays out in the spaces where the Ricky/Nini romance storyline provides conflict for the success-of-the-show storyline, and vice versa, but the CHARACTERS' STORIES are about the mom thing and the dream thing, and are actually the root of all the interpersonal drama.

Not sure that I have a point, it's more of a comment of appreciation.

Another good thing about S2 is that it opens up to include more stories for the supporting cast, kinda like how HSM2 does and makes Ryan your favorite character. So even in retrospect, in S1 my faves are Gina and Mazzara and Seb & Carlos and Ashlyn, and Nini and Ricky are just Also There.

Different thought: my singular major complaint when I watched this the first time was that the show (accidentally? Due to unyielding adherence to the conventions of the genre?) uniformly conflates personal success with romantic success. As in, you know you've finally achieved your dream when you are handed a SO as a trophy. The sole SOLE exception to this in S1 is Kourtney, and look how that's played out in S2. :/ especially since one of my favorite favorite things was Start of Something New recast as Nini's romance-free self-actualization ballad, I really thought that was a premise that would make an appearance s o m e w h e r e in the show. SO IM SO HAPPY THAT'S FINALLY PAID OFF FOR NINI. LIKE IN 2x09 WHERE RICKY'S DROWNING IN HIS UNSHED TEARS AND THEN IT CUTS TO NINI SCROLLING COMMENTS IN HER INSTAGRAM HOLY SHIT. There's a read where she's the bitch or whatever for not being as broken up as Ricky is, but gurrrrrrl this has been her true character aim since day one!!! Her story is not! About! RICKY!!!!!

(I wanted my ace!Taylor HC to magically transfer into Kourtney, whose canon feminist self-affirming character core might prevent her from getting roped into a romance storyline. Like I don't want to begrudge a character a romance plot if that's what the character wants, but GOSH wouldn't it have been cool if this rom-com genre could find room to accommodate aspec stories. ALSO where my trans teens at!!! Fingers crossed, S3.)

In conclusion, I identify with Mazzara what with his autism and his robots and his AV club and his green gingham button-up that I also have; I love love love his look of consternation with himself when he sends that email. 10/10. But also, if we were in high school, I'd have been a grade ahead of his actor sooooo guess that means I'm just a crusty old grandpa
